An unexpected plan, a necessary break
Good afternoon, dear Holos&Lotus community, today I want to share with you these outings that come up unexpectedly and help you disconnect from the world, relax, take a break in your life, and recharge your energy.
A week ago, we celebrated the birthday of a friend who had been very sad because her husband had recently passed away. At that moment, we tried to cheer her up and help her distract herself a little.
Since it had been a while since we last saw each other, each of us started to share the latest updates in our lives, such as work, boyfriends, projects, and other activities we had been involved in up to that point.
My surprise was great when I noticed that each of them had experienced significant changes, such as job resignations, breakups, family losses, and other situations.
At one point in the conversation, it seemed like we all desperately needed a getaway to disconnect from everything, so a friend suggested going for a full day at a hotel to unwind in the pool, the sauna, and other attractions the place had to offer.
Personally, before accepting any plan, I like to get organized and check if I have anything important to do, but due to the insistence of my two friends, I agreed to go haha. Note that the outing was going to be in 3 days, so it was a bit complicated.
On the day of the outing, we all met up and set off on the journey, which lasted almost an hour. The place was far from the city, but while they chatted, I distracted myself by admiring the scenery.
Upon arrival, the first thing we did was get ready to enter the pool and relax. Then we went to have lunch and afterward, we strolled around the area. Although what I'm telling you seems like a simple story, I believe it helped all of us disconnect a bit from the city and our problems, as well as reconnect with each other.
It was then that I understood what women mean when they talk about their close circle of friends: those people who help you, support you, advise you, and much more. This circle is not built with just anyone; I believe it is made up of those who know you well and can give you valuable advice from their own perspective.
For example, a friend who had a romantic problem and each of us shared our point of view with her. With our help, she realized some mistakes she had made without noticing, but she was learning, and the idea was that she could do better in her next experience.
The truth is, I wasn't entirely sure about going, but after spending a fun-filled day, I felt that the outing had helped me relax and return with more energy to my daily tasks.
It's nice to share those moments with people you appreciate and who appreciate you, especially when they share a similar outlook on life and values. Each one is focused on their work and on improving as a person, so we understand each other better in that sense.
Something I would like to convey to you with this brief post is that, if spontaneous plans are proposed to you, dare to accept them! At first, they may seem crazy, but if it's something you like and can help you unwind from the stress of everyday life, I advise you to go for it.
Be careful, let's not go to extremes either, haha. But, if they offer you a little weekend getaway or a midweek break, go for it! I'm sure it will help you a lot.
Well, I hope you liked this post and see you in the next one!
