DIY Notebook with a gold effect / Diy Libreta con Efecto Dorado

Using just a small piece of the gold transfer foil, I press or rub my finger over the area where the adhesive is quite dry, then quickly peel it away. Upon removal, the gold material remains on the photo paper, creating a beautiful, eye-catching effect that reacts wonderfully to light and the viewer's perspective; it is a real bonus that adds interest to the material and the final product, further personalizing the design.

Con solo un pedacito del FOIL DE TRANSFERENCIA COLOR DORADO, presiono o froto con mi dedo sobre la parte que tiene la pega bastante seca, y despego rápidamente. Al retirarlo se queda el material dorado sobre el papel fotográfico, logrando un efecto precioso y llamativo, que reacciona muy bien con la luz y perspectiva del ojo, es todo un PLUS que hace más interesante el material y el producto final, personalizando más el diseño.

❤️ Apply clear contact paper over the surface of the adhesive photo paper covers. ❤️ Position the bookbinding cardboard base (I used recycled cardboard) on the back of the laminated front and back covers. ❤️ Trim the edges to ensure uniform spacing. I used DIY bookbinding guides, but you can use store-bought ones or simply measure with a ruler. ❤️ Cut the corners diagonally—using bookbinding guides or by eye—with a utility knife or scissors.

❤️ Aplicar Papel Contact transparente sobre la superficie de las portadas de papel fotográfico adhesivo ❤️ Ubicar la base de cartón para encuadernar (en mi caso fue un cartón reciclaje) en el reverso de la portada y contraportada ya plastificadas. ❤️ Cortar el alrededor para que todo tenga la misma distancia. En mi caso utilicé unas reglas de encuadernación que hice yo misma, puedes usar las comerciales o incluso hacerlo midiendo con una regla. ❤️ Cortar las esquinas en diagonal, con reglas de encuadernación o calculando, y con cúter o tijera.

This is what the back of the photo paper looks like; notice that the spacing is uniform all around.

❤️ Fold the photo paper margins over onto the cardboard. ❤️ Place a sheet of printed paper—coordinated with the design—over the back to cover everything. You can also use a plain white sheet or one in a different color.

Así luce todo el papel fotográfico por el reverso, fíjate que todo tiene la misma distancia.

❤️ Doblar hacia el cartón los márgenes que del papel fotográfico. ❤️ Colocar un papel con impresión en combinación con el diseño para tapar todo. También puede usarse una hoja blanca o de otro color.

❤️ Cut the binding rings. I like using two sets of three, so I cut them and inserted the pages, front cover, and back cover. ❤️ Close the rings.

This is how beautiful my personalized notebook turned out; the golden sparkles are truly special—they give the product a really special look. It has already become my favorite notebook, especially because I made it with my own hands and a lot of love.

These are two of my notebooks; ever since I started bookbinding, I haven't allowed myself to own a generic notebook—I have to make it special, with lots of love, and something that brings me real joy.

Today I worked with recycled cardboard since this notebook is for myself; however, if I’m making one to sell or give as a gift, I use standard bookbinding greyboard. That said, I am always very particular about my materials, ensuring I make the most of them and use them in the best possible way.

Estas son dos de mis libretas, desde que hago Encuadernación no me permito tener una libreta o cuaderno genérico, tengo que hacerlo especial, con mucho amor y que me haga muy feliz.

Hoy trabajé con cartón reciclado ya que esta libreta es para mí, pero si voy a hacer una libreta para vender o regalar si utilizo el cartón gris para encuadernación, pero siempre soy muy celosa con los materiales para aprovecharlos oportunamente y de la mejor forma.

This notebook has turned out with a completely professional finish; the more I make my products, the better they look—as the saying goes, "Practice makes perfect." So, the materials I use on myself or for practice are put to good use, as they allow me to improve, experiment, and steadily raise the quality of my products.

Esta libreta ha quedado con un acabado comercial totalmente, y es que mientras más hago mis productos, mejor quedan, bien dice el dicho: LA PRÁCTICA HACE AL MAESTRO. Así que los materiales que uso en mí o en practicar están bien utilizados, porque me permiten mejorar, experimentar e ir elevando la calidad de mis productos.
