Personalization in school supplies has always been important to me. Since I was little and it was fashionable to cover the notebooks with bond paper, place stickers, labels and even those letters that were transferred when rubbing, draw chains in the margins, etc. After I had my children, I also enjoyed giving the personal touch to each of their supplies.

I am going to return to the decoration of school covers or covers, with the themes of the different subjects or classes of study, and today I started with this combination of acetate on them, which I think is a very, very interesting touch that is on trend... Welcome.

La Personalización en los útiles escolares, siempre ha sido importante para mí. Desde que estaba pequeña y estaba de moda era forrar los cuadernos con papel bond, colocar calcomanías, etiquetas y hasta aquellas letras que se traspasaban al frotar, dibujar cadenetas en los márgenes, etc. Luego que tuve mis hijos, igualmente disfrutaba dándole el toque personal a cada uno de sus útiles.

Voy a retomar la decoración de portadas o carátulas escolares, con las temáticas de las diferentes materias o clases de estudio, y hoy comencé con esta combinación de acetato en ellas, que me parece un toque muy, muy interesante que está en tendencia... Bienvenidos.

Choosing the images was really quick, since I worked in the Canva App in its Pro version, and I used the available resources for a Robotics cover, combining with the name of the subject "Robotics" since I have a digital file with lists of subjects that I use in this post and will continue to use in my other proposals.

Elegir las imágenes fue realmente rápido, ya que trabaje en la App Canva en su versión Pro, y utilicé los recursos disponibles para una portada de Robótica, combinando con el nombre de la materia "Robótica" ya que tengo un archivo digital con listas de materias que uso en este post y seguiré usando en mis otras propuestas.

Print on normal letter paper, although it should look more striking on photographic paper. I cut out using the Stickers style, which is leaving a white border around absolutely everything.

Imprimí en hoja carta normal, aunque se debe de ver más llamativo en papel fotográfico. Recorté con el estilo de Stickers, que consiste en dejar un borde blanco alrededor de absolutamente todo.

This notebook is university size, which is a format that I really like, its pages have a certain subtle decoration and I love the spiral or gold binding ring.

I fold the page that will serve as the cover or internal cover to identify the subject in half for this design that I have in mind. And in the part that was closest to the ring, I placed some of the printed figures with liquid silicone.

Este cuaderno es tamaño universitario, que es un formato que me gusta mucho, sus hojas tienen cierto decorado sutil y el espiral o aro de encuadernación dorado lo amo.

La página que servirá como portada o carátula interna para identificar la materia, la doblo por la mitad para este diseño que tengo en mente. Y en la parte que quedó más cerca del aro, coloqué con silicón líquido algunas de las figuras impresas.

Now with a rectangle of acetate, I complete the size of the page, placing liquid silicone on the back of the sheet.

Ahora con un rectángulo de acetato, completo el tamaño de la página, colocando silicón líquido en el reverso de la hoja.

With this page design completed, I continue gluing the images on both the sheet of paper and the acetate.

Ya con este diseño de la página completado, continúo pegando las imágenes tanto en la hoja de papel como en el acetato.

The decoration is totally personal, and for this theme I decided to place some points and lines with a figure ruler and subtly fill in the spaces on the page with light blue chalk.

📢📢 A very, very important detail is to cut the corners of the acetate so that they are rounded, this will prevent accidents or cuts from occurring with this material.

La decoración es totalmente personal, y para esta temática decidí colocar unos puntos y líneas con una regla de figuras y rellenar sutilmente los espacios de la página con tiza de color azul claro.

📢📢 Un detalle muy, muy importante es cortar las esquinas del acetato de manera que queden redondeadas, esto evitará que ocurran accidentes o cortes con este material.

I think the most difficult thing is knowing how to stop when starting to decorate this internal cover, because you can add all the elements, style or colors that you want, until you are satisfied with the result and in this case it looked like this:

Creo que lo más difícil es saber detenerse al comenzar a decorar esta portada interna, porque se puede agregar todos los elementos, estilo o colores que deseemos, hasta quedar satisfechos con el resultado y en este caso quedó así:

I loved this design with the combination of the leaf and the acetate, it is very interesting and physically adds a lot of interest, plus it is a very strong and durable material.

Me encantó este diseño con la combinación de la hoja y el acetato, es muy interesante y físicamente aporta mucho interés, además que es un material muy fuerte y duradero.

I will continue making these collegiate covers or covers, since I really enjoy it and there are many subjects and ideas to explore to design.
