Mini Backpack Gift Box / Mini Mochila Caja de Regalo

Making small boxes is great because it allows you to practice different models, techniques, color combinations and prints, it is fun and it also allows you to have a design sample to keep active on your social networks so that your clients can keep you in mind.

Today I made a Mini Backpack with cardboard, its purpose is to serve as a Gift Box for small gifts such as cash, Stickers, jewelry, etc. I'll show you step by step... By the way, I didn't see the Eclipse, but I leave you a Gif with my Mini Backpack being part of one... Welcome.

Realizar cajitas pequeñas es genial porque te permite practicar diferentes modelos, técnicas, combinaciones de colores y estampados, es divertido y además te permite disponer de una muestra de diseño para mantener activa en tus redes sociales y que tus clientes te puedan tener presente.

Hoy realicé una Mini Mochila con cartulinas, su propósito es servir Caja de Regalo para pequeños obsequios como pudiera ser dinero en efectivo, Stickers, bisutería, etc. Te muestro el paso a paso... Por cierto no vi el Eclipse, pero les dejo un Gif con mi Mini Mochila formando parte de uno... Bienvenidos.

First I made the pattern for the two little boxes that form the structure of the Mini Backpack. In this photo you can see the measurements of this design, it is really very simple, and of course it can be adjusted to any size you want.

Then, I cut it out so I had this template to start my craft.

Primero realicé el patrón las dos cajitas que forman la estructura de la Mini Mochila. En esta foto pueden ver las medidas de este diseño, realmente es muy sencillo, y por supuesto que se puede ajustar a cualquier tamaño que se desee.

Luego, lo recorté para disponer de esta plantilla y comenzar mi manualidad.

A few weeks ago I bought these beautiful cards with beautiful and saturated colors, ideal for my crafts, they have very good quality. I tell you that, I left them for 2 weeks on a table with books, dictionaries and heavy things open on them, this with the purpose of erasing from their memory this shape that they adopted when they were rolled up, now I have them hanging and ready to work.

I copied the design of the two templates onto my cardboard, marked it with the Creasing and Embossing Burin, this tool is specialized and allows for neat folds. Then, I cut out the two boxes.

Hace unas semanas compré estas hermosas cartulinas con unos colores hermosos y saturados, ideal para mis manualidades, tienen muy buena calidad. Les comento que, las dejé 2 semanas sobre una mesa con libros, diccionarios y cosas pesadas sobre ellas abiertas, esto con la finalidad de borrar de su memoria esta forma que adoptaron al estar enrolladas, ahora las tengo colgadas y listas para trabajar.

Copié el diseño de las dos plantillas sobre mi cartulina, la marqué con el Buril de hendido y repujado, esta herramienta es especializada y permite tener doblez prolijos. Luego, recorté las dos cajitas.

To assemble them, I placed liquid silicone on the side tabs, and they were assembled. As you can see, the boxes have different heights in this design.

Para armarlas, coloqué silicón líquido en las pestañas laterales, y ya quedaron armadas. Como pueden ver, las caja tienen diferentes alturas en este diseño.

Join the two boxes with liquid silicone. The design or model that I made today has two compartments to place the gifts.

Uno las dos cajitas con silicón líquido. El diseño o modelo que hice hoy, dispone de dos compartimientos para colocar los obsequios.

I didn't like any of the printed materials I had, so I made a print on a letter-sized sheet, with the Canva App, in its Pro version, and printed it on cardstock. I cut a rectangle that would serve as part of the Mini Backpack's exterior design, and rounded the tips with a corner cutter, giving it a more subtle and professional finish.

No me gustaban ninguno de las materiales con estampados que tenía, así que realicé un estampado en una hoja tamaño carta, con la App Canva, en su versión Pro, y la imprimí en cartulina. Corté un rectángulo que serviría como parte del diseño exterior de la Mini Mochila, y redondeé las puntas con un cortador de esquinas, con lo cual queda un acabado más sutil y profesional.

I placed liquid silicone on the back of the larger box and glued the stamped cardstock, to which I rounded the corners on the front only.

With other pieces of the stamped cardboard, I made some other decorative details.

Coloqué silicón líquido en la parte posterior de la cajita más grande y pegué la cartulina estampada, a la que redondeé las esquinas en la parte frontal solamente.

Con otros pedacitos de la cartulina estampada, realicé algunos otros detalles decorativos.

To simulate the strips of the Mini Backpack, I cut them out of pink cardboard again, to make contrasts or combinations in the design, and glued them.

Para simular las tiras de la Mini Mochila, corté nuevamente en cartulina rosada, para hacer contrastes o combinaciones en el diseño, y las pegué.

I placed the details on the sides, and a piece of pink cardboard in the front to serve as a closing mechanism, inserting it into a slot I made.

Coloqué los detalles a los lados, y un trozo de cartulina rosada al frente para que sirva como mecanismo de cierre, al introducirlo en una ranura que hice.

This design is very simple, but striking due to the combination of colors and print. As you can see, it allowed me to comfortably fit a fairly full bag of stickers, and two smaller bags, distributed in the two compartments of the Mini Backpack.

Este diseño es muy sencillo, pero llamativo por la combinación de colores y estampado. Como pueden apreciar, me permitió introducir cómodamente una bolsita de stickers bastante llena, y dos bolsitas más pequeñas, distribuidas en los dos compartimientos de la Mini Mochila.

I hope you liked this design, I personally loved it, I loved these colors. I have other designs in mind with more details and complexity, which I will progressively incorporate.
