It was news day again and I saw sighs of autumn in my 11k steps in this small town. I may be battling for the extension of summer but there are cracks in the armour.
The weather has been relatively mild in the daytime in this small Canadian town but the skies hold some clouds and the evenings are dipping down into the single digit Celsius for some good sleeping.
In my travels, I did notice a few of the maples threatening to change colour. Not on my watch!
Checking on Mater so @coinjoe knows he is alright, looks like his tree friend is about ready to drop leaves.
Otherwise, his happy corner of the world is looking summery still with the blue sky and serene field.
Even downtown in the square, the trees are betraying summer and marking the inevitable.
Might as well snap my customary picture from the steps of city hall. Despite the relief in daytime temperatures, I tell you I sweat a little still with the street workout.
Other signs of summer still being active, road construction in so many places in town. Several big projects are still wrapping up before the winter sets in but they still have time.
Another sign is all the election signs all across town. It is that time again every 4 years so we elect our mayor and city council. So many signs popping up everywhere.
Thinks are a little mosquitoy in the dog park with the cooler temperatures but not cool enough to kill them at night time. Perfect way to end the day with the little guy
So, the sun has gone down on another 10k step news day in my small town. Before long, I will be telling you snowy tales about newsday but not before more summer adventures and hopefully a month or 2 of vibrant fall.
