I do love me some Halloween action! As summer slides away, the warmth and green makes way for hockey, and a bit of childish costumer fun!
Thursdays are usually good for over 10k steps for me as I load up my little car with local news and visit many businesses and news stands around town. The things I will do to help connect the community and local news written by local writers is a good way to
The morning started out a little less bright and sunny than in previous weeks. As is the time of year with the shorter days and cooler temperatures.
Plenty of fall colour still to enjoy though.
It was a nice surprise to see that our Canadian thanksgiving has passed and a few more businesses are getting into the Halloween seasonal spirit.
Some fun displays and a few of them were rather intricate. Neat to see people leaning into the creativity!
It seems even more skeletons are clawing their way from the ground to celebrate the season!
Some people really go all out. I have shared pictures in the past from this house who must have a basement with huge boxes of decorations from every season imaginable.
Another scene I thought I would share is the little tent city that has popped up in the last few years. Even small towns like this seem to be having the unhoused prominently on display and it is a growing concern to help these people back on their feet. Imagine living outdoors in Canada…in winter!
Mildly inappropriate to pivot from poverty to excess but I do love my sports cars as well.
Before @coinjoe gets too concerned, Mater is doing just fine and it seems he is building a little tent city of his own!
A little cloudier and less congested than the height of summer from the steps of city hall. Soon, I will be sharing pictures from here featuring the. Christmas tree!
It wouldn’t be a proper 10k step day without sharing some with my little buddy in the park. His happiness is contagious.
10k is hungry work so I whipped up some panzerottis for dinner! I make them the size of calzones but insist on having the sauce on the inside as well as drizzled over when they are ready to eat.
Thanks for stepping with me in this small town once again and happy spooky season!
