Desde que era niña me gustó el cine de terror. Tal vez porque me encanta sentir la adrenalina que produce el suspenso y esas escenas donde te dan ganas de gritar. Para que una película de terror sea candidata para verla necesita tener un personaje que de mucho miedo o un contexto que te atrape desde el principio y al final te deje petrificado en el sofá. Cuando era niña esto era muy fácil de complacer, pero con el tiempo he ido perdiendo ese entusiasmo por este genero pero todavía las películas de terror son mis favoritas.

Ever since I was a child I liked horror movies. Maybe because I love to feel the adrenaline of suspense and those scenes that make you want to scream. For a horror movie to be a candidate to watch it needs to have a very scary character or a context that grabs you from the beginning and leaves you petrified on the couch at the end. When I was a kid this was very easy to indulge in, but over time I have lost that enthusiasm for this genre but still horror movies are my favorite.

La trama

Si te duermes pierdes. Así de simple. La peor pesadilla de las víctimas de Freddy Krueger es quedarse dormidos. Por lo que vemos en toda la película a personas tomando café y fármacos exitantes para no dormirse y muchos pierden la pelea, para caer en una pesadilla donde Freddy es el dueño y señor y manipula los sueños a su antojo para apoderarse de las vidas de sus víctimas.

The plot

A Nightmare on Elm Street: Remake 2010

Fui a ver esta nueva versión con mi mamá en el cine cuando se estrenó en el 2010. Estabamos muy emocionadas de poder disfrutar de esta película nuevamente ya que habiamos visto toda la saga anterior. La experiencia no fue tan mala, debo confesar que tantos años después de la última película de Freddy Krueger pues esperaba algo diferente, pero básicamente es la misma trama. Lo que si me gustó fue que en esta versión nos muestran un poco más alla de lo que estabamos acostumbrados a ver, la historia completa de cómo los padres de los niños del jardín de niños donde trabajaba Freddy le prenden fuego a este después que sus hijos lo acusan de abuso, siendo todo una gran confusión. Pero los padres toman la justicia en sus manos y terminan con la vida de Freddy de la peor forma, en llamas, y el espíritu de Freddy vuelve años después cuando aquellos niños son adolescentes a vengarse y comienza la pesadilla de estos chicos.

I went to see this new version with my mom at the movie theater when it was released in 2010. We were very excited to enjoy this movie again since we had seen all the previous saga. The experience wasn't too bad, I must confess that so many years after the last Freddy Krueger movie I was expecting something different, but basically it's the same plot. What I did like was that in this version we are shown a little more than what we were used to see, the full story of how the parents of the children of the kindergarten where Freddy worked set fire to him after their children accuse him of abuse, being all a big confusion. But the parents take justice into their own hands and end Freddy's life in the worst way, in flames, and Freddy's spirit returns years later when those children are teenagers to take revenge and the nightmare of these kids begins.

Mi opinión personal

Mi opinión en general sobre las películas de terror es que se ha perdido un poco aquel factor sorpresa que nos intriga al momento de sentarnos a ver un film de terror. Pienso que se debería rescatar aquello que te hace estremecer. Es lo que me paso con esta película. Aún así le di una calificación de 7, los buenos críticos no coincidieron conmigo ya que fue calificada en 5.2 IMDb en comparación con la primera parte de 1984.

My personal opinion

My opinion in general about horror movies is that the surprise factor that intrigues us when we sit down to watch a horror film has been lost. I think we should rescue that which makes you shudder.

That's what happened to me with this movie. Even though I gave it a rating of 7, the good critics did not agree with me since it was rated at 5.2 IMDb compared to the first part of 1984.
