Hace días deseaba ver una nueva serie, pero esta vez quería hacer algo distinto, no quería escoger basado en reseñas o críticas de ningún sitio de internet o recomendaciones en redes sociales, fue así que revisando los estrenos en las plataformas de streaming me tope con Pieces of Her, me dio una buena primera impresión al ver que en la imagen de presentación de la serie se encuentra la actriz Toni Collette como protagonista, conociendo lo buena actriz que es, entonces me decidí a ver el trailer, que muestra escenas impactantes llenas de drama y algo de misterio, pero que te deja con la interrogante si no acabas de ver lo más interesante que tiene para ofrecer.

Main plot
Pieces of Her tells the story of two women, Laura and Andrea Oliver, mother and daughter, both living in a small town on the coast of Georgia, USA. They seem to live a quiet life until a violent event in their peaceful community completely changes their lives, a young man motivated by spite, murders a young woman and her mother in a local coffee shop, in the presence of Andrea and Laura, visibly disturbed begins to murder others present in the cafeteria.

Opinion
The first chapter is undoubtedly the best of the series, Laura's response starring Toni Collette, takes you by surprise and leaves you shocked, personally I immediately put me on the edge of my chair and I thought instantly: this is going to get good! That's when I thought for a moment that Laura was a kind of undercover secret agent in the style of Denzel Washington in Man on Fire, but as the series progressed my expectations were destroyed, Laura's character loses a lot of strength, passing the protagonism to Andrea the daughter, who is involved in many scenes where she seems instantly to be very smart to discover clues, but at other times to be a complete inept, which caused me a slight disappointment, however, I continued with the hope that I would regain interest again.
El primer capitulo sin duda es lo mejor de la serie, la respuesta de Laura protagonizada por Toni Collette, te toma por sorpresa y te deja impactado, personalmente de inmediato me puso al borde de la silla y pensé al instante: ¡esto se va a poner bueno! No he tenido la oportunidad de leer ninguno de los libros de Karin Slaughter, pero la fama que tiene por desarrollar thrillers psicológicos es mucha, creo que las expectativas de que la serie reflejara el éxito del libro eran muy altas, pero causo mucha decepción entre buena parte de su audicnecia segun sitios de critica, y creo entender el por qué: son 8 horas, de 8 capítulos donde recibes pequeñas piezas de información que no acaban de develar quien es realmente la protagonista, si al caso vamos, el titulo así lo expone, solo recibirás piezas de ella, pero al no tener aunque sea pequeños desenlaces, puede que en algún momento te sientas agotado y aburrido.

Solo hasta el final del ultimo capitulo, en las últimas escenas, se torna interesante nuevamente y entiendes que la historia debe continuar, el problema es que recibiste tan poco en una sola temporada, que el tener que esperar tanto tiempo para dar continuidad, sin saber que tan buena resultara la continuación, no te anima a esperarla, y menos verla, porque será poco lo que recordaras y tener que repasar todo para ver una segunda temporada, cuando la primera quizás no te llamo tanto la atención, definitivamente no querrás invertir tu tiempo en ello, pudiendo dedicarlo a algo mucho mejor.
