El Silo terminó convirtiéndose en un auténtico maratón de casi un mes completo con mi esposa. Razón tenía Eliú cuando dijo que el primer episodio que presenta la producción para abrir la historia es PERFECTO sin mentirles, dicho episodio nos atrapó desde el primer minuto ya luego era imposible ver un episodio y no sentir esa angustia al final de cada capítulo que te obliga a presionar el botón de Siguiente. La producción junto a los actores logran esa capacidad para dejarnos con las uñas en la boca y los dientes intentando desaparecerlas ja ja ja… Y es que esas constante dudas sobre el destino de los personajes era un verdadero suspenso.

El Silo ended up turning into a real marathon that lasted almost a full month with my wife. Eliú was right when he said that the first episode the show uses to kick off the story is PERFECT I’m not lying that episode had us hooked from the very first minute, and after that, it was impossible to watch an episode without feeling that anxiety at the end of each one that forces you to hit the “Next” button. The production team, along with the actors, has a way of leaving us biting our nails so hard our teeth feel like they’re about to fall out, ha ha ha… And those constant doubts about the characters’ fates really kept us on the edge of our seats.

Uno de los aspectos de la serie que nos dejó aún más dudosos es el cómo juegan mentalmente con el espectador pues el intentar en que bando deberías estar es más complicado de lo que parece. Nada mejor que vernos a la cara y pensar justamente lo mismo ¨Los buenos son malos y los malos son buenos¨ ja ja ja ja… Era lo más atrapante de la historia, el bueno termina haciendo cosas que podríamos cuestionar, los malos actuando por razones dentro del contexto de su supervivencia pero cada decisión llegan a tener sentido y lo digo en ambos bandos y nos quedamos con esa cara de meme preguntándonos ja ja ja… Es ese enigma moral lo que nos mantiene en constante tensión. Nunca sabes con certeza en quién confiar ni qué secretos oculta la estructura del Silo ni mucho menos sus líderes.

One of the aspects of the series that left us even more uncertain is how it plays with the viewer’s mind because figuring out which side you’re supposed to be on is more complicated than it seems. There’s nothing better than looking at each other and thinking exactly the same thing: “The good guys are bad, and the bad guys are good,” ha ha ha ha… That was the most gripping part of the story: the “good guy” ends up doing things we might question, while the “bad guys” act for reasons tied to their survival but every decision ends up making sense, and I mean that for both sides—and we’re left with that meme-worthy expression, wondering, ha ha ha… It’s that moral enigma that keeps us in constant suspense. You never know for sure who to trust, what secrets the Silo’s structure hides, much less its leaders.

La serie hoy cuenta con tres temporadas y para resumirlas: en la primera nos presenta un gigantesco búnker subterráneo de 144 pisos conocido como el Silo donde habitan 10.000 personas que sobreviven bajo las estrictas reglas de una biblia llamada "El Pacto" y a su vez, creyendo que el exterior es una sábana tóxica e irrespirable. En la segunda expandimos los horizontes más allá de los muros del Silo 18 donde uno de sus personajes en este caso, Juliette quien era en ese momento la alguacil del Silo. Ella logra superar los límites que cualquier otro pudo llegar descubriendo un Silo más enumerado por el Silo 17 el cual era otro Silo totalmente desconocido para los otros Ahí ella descubre muchas cosas del porqué están ahí. Y en esta tercera temporada nos presentan el cómo llegó el proyecto Silo a existir y nos van explicando un poco más la historia de todos los demás.

The series currently has three seasons, and to summarize them: the first introduces us to a gigantic 144-story underground bunker known as the Silo, home to 10,000 people who survive under the strict rules of a “bible” called “The Pact,” while believing that the outside world is a toxic, unbreathable shroud. In the second season, we expand our horizons beyond the walls of Silo 18, following one of its characters in this case, Juliette, who was the Silo’s sheriff at the time. She manages to go further than anyone else ever has, discovering another Silo—numbered Silo 17 which was completely unknown to the others. There, she uncovers many things about why they’re there. And in this third season, they show us how the Silo Project came to be and explain a little more about the stories of everyone else.
