Hello friends, I hope you are very well, I want to take advantage of the Christmas days of this year that we are already experiencing to share a very special short list of my favorite Christmas movies. I know there are many movies within this theme that I think could already be a genre, some are legendary and others just to have a good time. I have seen many movies throughout my life but these ones that I will share below hold a very special place in my heart, I hope you like them.
Hola amigos espero que se encuentren muy bien, quiero aprovechar los días de navidad de este año que ya estamos viviendo para compartir una pequeña lista muy especial de mis películas favoritas de Navidad. Se qué hay muchas películas dentro de esta temática que pienso que ya podría ser un género, unas son legendarias y otras solo para pasar un buen rato. He visto muchas películas a lo largo de mi vida pero estas que compartiré a continuación guardan un lugar muy especial en mi corazón, espero que les guste.
I don't think this film needs an introduction, because it is a classic of classics, and its title does not keep any kind of secret. I saw Santa Claus from 1986 in my childhood, I think it was one of the first Christmas movies I saw in life, and the one that made me believe that Santa Claus was real. It is a simple story, but it has many great messages that we can put into practice.
Esta película creo que no necesita presentación, pues es un clásico de clásicos, y su título no guarda ninguna clase de secreto. Santa Claus de 1986 la vi en mi infancia, creo que fue una de las primeras películas de navidad que vi en vida, y la que me hizo creer que Santa Claus era real. Es una historia sencilla, pero que tiene muchos mensajes buenísimos que podemos poner en práctica.
The story centers on Mr. Claus, a lumberjack who, together with his wife, could never have children, which is why, when it was Christmas time, they would go out in their sleigh to distribute gifts to the children of their neighbors, in one of the those nights their sleigh gets stuck in the middle of the road and they die from the cold along with their reindeer. Todo marcha muy bien en el nuevo trabajo de Santa Claus, los elfos mágicos lo ayudaban en todo y así podía recorrer el mundo entero a dejar regalos a todos los niños, pero había un elfo muy especial, este elfo era muy inteligente y no dudó en usar su inteligencia para ayudar a Santa Claus, pero las cosas no salieron como él esperaba. The story may have some clichés of the time, such as the greedy and self-centered businessman, but I think there was no better villain in the 80s than just that lol. Also, he makes a contrast between giving to others and helping, than just accumulating wealth. For this and many other things, I like this film, in addition to the fact that I consider the special effects to be good for the time it was released, the story is simple but entertaining, and best of all, it has a great message.
Puede que la historia tenga algunos clichés de la época como por ejemplo el empresario avaro y egocéntrico, pero creo que no había mejor villano en los 80 que justamente ese jejeje. También, hace un contraste entre dar al prójimo y ayudar, que solo acumular riquezas. Por esto y muchas cosas más es que me gusta esta película, además que los efectos especiales los consideros buenos para el tiempo que se estrenó, la historia es simple pero entretenida, y lo mejor de todo es que tiene un gran mensaje
My other favorite movie is a 90s comedy called Jingle All The Way, starring the great Arnold Schwarzenegger, I was lucky enough to see this movie when it was released in theaters, so I never imagined seeing Terminator looking all over the world for a doll. city other than Sarah Connor to kill her lol. This film tells us the life of Howart Lang on the most important day of the year, especially for his son, Christmas Eve. However, the good Howart lives more focused on his work and has already disappointed his son several times, so he will have one chance not to do it again.
Mi otra película favorita es una comedia de los 90 llamada Jingle All The Way, protagonizada por el gran Arnold Schwarzenegger, esta película tuve la fortuna de verla cuando se estrenó en el cine, así que nunca imaginé ver a Terminator buscando un muñeco por toda la ciudad que no fuera Sarah Connor para matarla jajaja. Esta película nos cuenta la vida de Howart Lang en el día más importante del año, especialmeente para su hijo, la noche buena. Sin embargo el buen Howart vive más enfocado en su trabajo y ya ha decepcionado a su hijo varias veces así que tendrá una única oportunidad para no hacerlo otra vez.
The big surprise is that Howart forgot to buy the famous Turboman doll, this action figure is very famous and his little son asked for it as a Christmas present. Then he only has to go on Christmas Eve to go all over the city to find a copy. Along the way he will meet a neurotic partner, he will have problems with the police and he will face a Santa Claus mafia, but his biggest enemy is his neighbor, who does not stop harassing his wife.
La gran sorpresa es que Howart olvidó comprar el famoso muñeco de Turboman, esta figura de acción es muy famosa y pues su pequeño hijo la pidió como regalo de navidad. Entonces no le queda más que ir el día de noche buena a recorrer toda la ciudad para encontrar un ejemplar. En el camino se encontrará con un compañero neurótico, tendrá problemas con la policía y se enfrentará a una mafia de Santa Claus, pero su mas gran enemigo es su vecino, quien no deja de acosar a su esposa.
The movie had its stellar moments, such as when a mall does a raffle for a Turboman doll, and the winning number is inside a ball, the balls are thrown into the air and Howart tries to grab one, but a girl keeps it. He tries to take it off and a lot of ladies hit him with their purses. Also when he faces a gang of gangster Santa Clauses and then the police arrive, the truth is that comedy is not lacking. However, the ending is magnificent, Howart dressed as Turboman rescues his son from a big fall.
La película tuvo sus momentos estelares, como cuando un centro comercial hacen un sorteo para un muñeco de Turboman, y el numero ganador se encuentra dentro deuna pelota, las pelotas son lanzadas al aire y Howart trata de tomar una, pero una niña se la queda, el intenta quitarsela y un montón de señoras le pegan con sus carteras. También cuando se enfrenta a una pantilla de Santa Claus mafiosos y luego llega la policía, la verdad la comedia no falta. Sin embargo el final es magnífico, Howart vestido como Turboman rescata a su hijode una gran caída.
The message of this film seems really beautiful to me, now that I am a father I understand better the value of our family and loved ones, especially our children. There are never enough excuses to be so busy that we don't pay due attention to them, Turboman teaches us that you always have to keep your promises.
El mensaje de esta película me parece realmente hermoso, ahora que soy padre entiendo mejor el valor de nuestra familia y seres queridos, especialmente nuestros hijos. Nunca hay excusas suficientes para estar tan ocupados que no les prestemos la debida atención, Turboman nos enseña que siempre hay que cumplir las promesas.
My last and most favorite movie is called Bad Santa, it was released in 2003, unlike the previous movies, this is a different comedy, where black humor and cynicism from the other side of Christmas reigns. Starring Billy bob Thornton and Tony Cox, where they are both safecrackers who pretend to be Santa Claus and one of his helper elves, every Christmas they do the same thing, get a shopping center, study the place to give on Christmas Eve the blow when robbing the safe, but this time it will not be the same.
Mi última película y la más favorita se llama Bad Santa, se estrenó en 2003, al contrario de las películas anteriores, esta es una comedia diferente, donde reina el humor negro y el cinismo de la otra cara de la navidad. Protagonizada por Billy bob Thornton y Tony Cox, donde ambos son unos ladrones de cajas fuertes que se hacen pasar por Santa Claus y uno de sus elfos ayudantes, cada navidad hacen lo mismo, conseguir un centro comercial, estudiar el sitio para en noche buena dar el golpe al robar la caja fuerte, pero esta vez no será igual.

This movie has it all, heavy jokes, very black humor, nihilism, sex and everything in between.
Solo el inicio te hace pensar de que va la historia, un torturado Willie está más que harto de la vida que lleva, su pesada cara contrastra muy bien con todos los demás rostros felices, es un cínico para el cual ningún pensamiento de redención pasa por su cabeza, menos en la compañia de sy diminuto cómplice. Esta película lo tiene todo, chistes pesados, humor muy negro, nihilismo, sexo y todo lo demás
Everything changes for Willie and his plans to rob the mall when he meets Thurman, a little boy who lives alone with his grandmother and who suffers bullying from bullies. The film has a great ending, the ending seems great to me, besides that it does not change the rhythm of the film at all, I am not telling you so that you are curious and so you can see it. As I said before, it is different from the others since the message is presented with anti-values that are sometimes not visible at Christmas, but that is not why they do not exist. There are people without an ounce of humanity in their hearts, because they have lost hope, and instead have filled their hearts with the bad things in life, only waiting for the end. This film shows us that no one has ever gone so far that they cannot return, I highly recommend it for these dates.
La película tiene un gran final, el cierre me parece genial además de que no cambia para nada el ritmo de la película, no se los cuento para que tengan curiosidad y así puedan verla. Como dije antes, es diferente a las otras ya que el mensaje es presentado con antivalores que a veces en Navidad no son visibles, pero no por eso no existen. Hay personas sin un gramo de humanidad en el corazón, porque han perdido la esperanza, y en lugar de ello han llenado su corazón de las cosas malas de la vida únicamente esperando el final. Esta película nos muestra que nunca nadie ha ido tan lejos que no pueda regresar, la recomiendo muchímo para estas fechas.
