Esta película aporto mucho a la saga y a la cultura de los Yautja, conocidos como los demonios cazadores de hombres. En esta publicación hablaré sobre los aspectos más importantes a mi consideración, y mencionaré cual fue el principal error de la película. Sin más que agregar comencemos.
The film begins with an infrared vision, apparently the first and only mistake that this new filming makes, since they show us who it is from the beginning, I think that this part should have been omitted and simply entered without showing the infrared vision. Then a team of policemen is surrounded by a gang of heavily armed drug dealers. The police don't have the resources until Police Captain Mike Harrigan steps in, killing the thugs while stealing the predator's attention. Managing to enter the building to realize that someone had won the game, mutilated bodies, impaled in the worst way, hung and skinned alive, all under the astonished gaze of the police. But the viewer knows who it is, unlike the first film here there is no surprise fatcor for the viewer, only the protagonists intuit that there is now a new danger in the city apart from criminals and it is killing with a level of sadism and brutality never seen before. I think that this introductory scene would have been better as a typical police action movie, police vs criminals, the scene with the corpses would have had more impact because in the eyes of the viewer it would have been a great surprise that would have better kept the sequence of events.
La película comienza con una visión en infrarrojo, al parecer el primer y único error que comete esta nueva filmación, ya que nos muestran desde el inicio de quien se trata, creo que esta parte debio ser omitida y simplemente entrar sin mostrar la visión infrarroja. Seguidamente un equipo de policías es cercado por una pandilla de narcotraficantes fuertemente armados. La policía no tiene los recursos hasta que el capitán de la policía Mike Harrigan interviene, aniquila a los maleantes robándose la atención del depredador. Opino que esta escena de introducción hubiera quedado mejor como la típica película de acción policial, policía vs delincuentes, la escena de los cadáveres habría tenido más impacto porque a los ojos del espectador habría significado una gran sorpresa que hubiera mantenido mejor la sucesión de eventos.

He is classified as a highly violent individual, and it is not for less, since the atmosphere of the city of Los Angeles is reminiscent of Robocop's Detroit, so he must be a tough guy to deal with the dregs of society, as well as his team of subordinates acts very well, Leona and Dany and ultimately Jerry (Bill Paxton). Hablando del reparto y la actuación creo que es genial, cada uno de los actores cumple su rol perfectamente, especialmente el Teniente Harrigan, si bien no llega a representar la misma puesta en escena que Arnold Schwarzenegger, muestra que es un hombre de mucho cuidado, al que no le falta valentía, coraje y tenacidad para actuar. Es catalogado como un individuo altamente violento, y no es para menos, ya que el ambiente de la ciudad de los Ángeles recuerda a la Detroit de Robocop, así que debe ser un tipo duro para lidiar con la escoria de la sociedad, igualmente su equipo de subordinados actua muy bien, Leona y Dany y en última instancia Jerry (Bill Paxton). Si miramos el reparto de actuación como las películas de hoy podemos decir que es una película adelantada a su tiempo, ya que tenemos a un afroamericano como protagonista, acompañado de dos representantes de una minoría como es la comunidad latina, no representa a mi parecer algo especial, pero para los días que vivimos ahora parece que importa más eso que la calidad en la actuación.

Then the Yautja makes his appearance when Harrigan leaves, here is a spiritual combat, since the voodoo priest understands that they are coming for his soul and he will not die without first fighting, before the challenge the Yautja removes his camouflage so that he can be seen by his opponent immediately cut off his head and his face still shows terror, screaming in deep pain and suffering. When I saw this scene and its context I thought of many things in terms of the implicit religious culture of the scene, it is somewhat terrifying because King Willy represents a corrupt Jesus Christ, who has his encounter with the devil, but instead of defeating the temptation as in the bible, here he is defeated and his head turned into a trophy for the greatest evil that a man can imagine.
