Hablemos del cast de esta película, con la protagonista quien hace el papel de Tonya Harding tenemos a Margot Robbie (algunos de sus otros papeles son Escuadrón suicida (2016) y El lobo de Wall Street (2013), Sebastian Stan (Capitan America: El primer vengador (2011), quien interpreta al exmarido de Tonya, Jeff Gillooly. Con apariciones de Allison Janney como LaVona Golden, la abusiva madre de Harding y el guardaespaldas de ella. Al inicio solo sabía que Margot era la protagonista y después de ver el tráiler ví que también salía Sebastian así que saber que ambos estarían ahí me incentivo más a verla. Al ver sus grandes actuaciones te hace preguntarte si todo fue real y realmente no tenían idea de nada o si fue un plan para destronar a su competencia.

Yo no conocía a la patinadora, pero esta película fue un medio para conocer su verdadera historia y todo lo que pasó a lo largo de su vida, tuvo errores que talvez si la llevaron al olvido. Sin embargo en mi opinión las malas juntas (su esposo y los amigos de él) hicieron de ella una perdición. Tenía todo el potencial para ser la mejor, pero los que la rodeaban no fueron los ideales. Robbie, cuya actuación tiene nominación al Premio de la Academia, es la antítesis a algunos de sus personajes anteriormente vistos, sexis y deslumbrantes. Su excelente interpretación de Harding representa a una mujer áspera y ruda sin la necesidad usar un maquillaje extremo, demostrando que tan solo la actitud puede convertir el glamour en algo radical. La actriz consigue sacar el lado más punk de la deportista, y al mismo tiempo la convierte en una niña grande que logra conmover con su postura ingenua hacia el entorno envenenado que oprime su existencia desde pequeña. Una película que sin duda te expone los hechos sin maquillarlos y te muestra todos los puntos de vista, no busca culpar a nadie sino que propone la idea de que el propio espectador se cree una idea lo de que pudo haber ocurrido en realidad. Muestran tanto la verdad como la mentira solo para poder tener la mente abierta sobre el tema.

Robbie, whose performance has an Academy Award nomination, is the antithesis to some of her previously seen sexy and dazzling characters. Her excellent interpretation of Harding portrays a rough and tough woman without the need for extreme makeup, proving that only attitude can turn glamour into something radical. The actress manages to bring out the most punk side of the athlete, and at the same time turns her into a big girl who manages to move with her naive stance towards the poisoned environment that oppresses her existence since she was a little girl. A film that undoubtedly exposes the facts without making them up and shows you all points of view, does not seek to blame anyone but proposes the idea that the viewer himself creates an idea of what could have happened in reality. They show both the truth and the lie just to keep an open mind on the subject.
