Hello to all the little people in hive, today I bring you something different I wanted to do a review (without spoilers) and recommendation of the Netflix series I'm not okay with this released last year on the platform and immediately getting great recognition for its plot and cast. Les contaré un poco del cast antes de introducirlos a la temática de la serie. La serie cuenta con personajes como Sydney Novak (interpretada por Sophia lillis, actriz que realizó el papel de Bev o Beverly Marsh en It (2017), Stanley barber (interpretado por Wyatt Oleff quien realizó el papel de Stanley o Stan Uris en It (2017), Dina interpretada por Sophia Bryant y Maggie Novak (Madre de Sydney) interpretada por Kathleen Rose Perkins. Además cuenta con apariciones como Liam Novak (Hermano de Sydney), El Profesor File (maestro) y Bradley Lewis (chico popular y jugador del equipo de fútbol americano del instituto)

The series is a teen drama with supernatural touches based on the novel of the same name written by Charles Forsman. This novel chronicles the life of a teenage girl who is developing both emotionally and physically and as the story progresses she begins to experience situations where she thinks she has superpowers and must deal with them while also struggling with her inner self as she deals with issues from her adolescence. A dramatic comedy that will put you in the shoes of a teenage girl who has to deal with the loss of a family member to suicide as well as trying to learn about and control her developing powers.

Fue estrenada el 26 de febrero del 2020 y cuenta con un total de 7 capitulos (variando entre los 19 a los 28 minutos). Para nuestro pesar la serie fue cancelada debido a las complicaciones con el covid-19 y a la exposición de los actores al mismo. Tiene una clasificación de +16 años de edad ya que contiene fuerte lenguaje, escenas de impacto, además de sutil contenido sexual.

It was released on February 26, 2020 and has a total of 7 chapters (varying between 19 to 28 minutes). To our regret the series was cancelled due to complications with covid-19 and the actors' exposure to it.It has a rating of +16 years of age as it contains strong language, shocking scenes, as well as subtle sexual content.
Les recomiendo totalmente esta serie, al principio la vi ya que salían los actores de la película It del 2017 y no está demás decir que amo esa película, por ello quise ver de qué iba esta serie y me lleve una gran sorpresa con lo increíble que es. Tristemente no podremos saber que ocurre con aquel final pero supongo que lo podríamos ver como un final abierto ya que no se realizará una segunda temporada. Me encantó la actuación de Sophia y de Wyatt ya que muestran carácter y decisión además del toque de aventura y miedo característico en los adolescentes. Además de contar con el increíble vestuario que nos transporta a otra época y nos va adentrando aún más con la serie.
I totally recommend this series, at first I watched it as it featured the actors from the 2017 movie It and needless to say I love that movie, so I wanted to see what this series was about and I got a big surprise with how amazing it is. Sadly we won't be able to know what happens with that ending but I guess we could see it as an open ending since there won't be a second season. I loved Sophia and Wyatt's performance as they show character and decisiveness plus the touch of adventure and fear characteristic of teenagers. Besides having the incredible costumes that transports us to another era and takes us even deeper into the series.
La historia es bastante ligera y fácil de llevar esto hace que poco a poco te adentres más fácilmente a ciertas situaciones tanto sobrenaturales como personales. Con el carácter rudo y hostil de Sydney, la rigidez y tristeza de su madre, la motivación y la alegría de su hermano, la compañía y amistad de Dina y con el característico buen humor y carácter relajado de Stanley forman un gran elenco que sin duda te hace querer aún más esta serie. La dinámica de los personajes es lo que te atrapa además de querer descubrir lo que ocurrió con Sydney, cada capítulo es parte de una narración al diario que su consejera le dijo que escribiera para desahogarse y cerrar los malos capitulos de su vida, este se vuelve muy importante a medida que va avanzando la historia y aunque al principio ella no se nota muy a gusto con escribir en un diario poco a poco lo encuentra como un consuelo que la ayuda a despejar su mente y poder expresarse libremente. Sé rebelde, rompe las reglas y no tengas miedo de ser tu mismo y de lo que te gusta.
The story is quite light and easy to carry, which makes it easier to get into certain situations, both supernatural and personal. With the tough and hostile character of Sydney, the rigidity and sadness of his mother, the motivation and joy of his brother, the company and friendship of Dinah and the characteristic good humor and relaxed character of Stanley form a great cast that undoubtedly makes you love this series even more. The dynamics of the characters is what catches you besides wanting to discover what happened with Sydney, each chapter is part of a narrative to the diary that her counselor told her to write to unburden herself and close the bad chapters of her life, this becomes very important as the story progresses and although at first she is not very comfortable with writing in a diary gradually she finds it as a comfort that helps her to clear her mind and to express herself freely. Be rebellious, break the rules and don't be afraid to be yourself and what you like.
