Hola amantes del cine y la televisión en hive, hoy les traigo mi opinión sobre ésta serie la cual acabo de terminar hace poco y la cuál me sorprendió enormemente de lo buena que fue, la serie está repleta de muchos elementos fantásticos y lo que me parece aún más maravilloso es su género principal, el steampunk, ya que en series es un género poco visto y además de ellos el estilo de la animación con un toque muy retro que hace que junto con la historia nazca está fantástica serie divertidisima y llena de magia, sin más que decir espero les guste y los invito a leerme! 🎬✨

Vamos a hablar primero del cast de esta serie, siendo una serie animada contamos con las voces de nuestros personajes principales los cuales son: Hazel Doupe interpretando a Emma, una joven que está a punto de casarse pero en un cambio de planes el alma de la guerrera Melinda toma su cuerpo como huésped y huye para poder derrotar al mal, Grey Griffin dándole vida a Melinda, una hechicera poderosa hija de Merlin. Demari Hunte cómo Alfie, un niño que será la reencarnación de un monje el cual está concentrado en el plano cósmico, Alain Uy como Seng el monje cósmico parte de este grupo de guerreros. Tom Milligan interpretando a Dimitri, el huésped del último de los guerreros, un Elfo quien a diferencia de sus compañeros logró conservar la mayoría de sus recuerdos de sus antiguas vidas. Por último contamos con el personaje de Copérnico el cual no cuenta con una voz ya que este se comunica a través de sonidos de locomotora. Dentro de la serie podremos conseguirnos con otros peculiares personajes como lo son Lord Edward Fairfax el padre de Emma, Merlín, Winston, quien es el prometido de Emma y un personaje que se cree fue el villano dentro de toda la serie, una extraña mujer zorro que no es lo que parece.
Con este gran cast podemos ir conociendo a este gran equipo de guerreros quienes se unen por la causa de evitar la destrucción y la fusión de el mundo cósmico y la tierra.

Ésta serie de televisión transmitida en a través de la plataforma de streaming HBO MAX de género fantasía animada para adultos ya que es parte del bloque de programación nocturna para adolescentes y adultos Adult Swim se estrenó el 5 de mayo del 2023 y fue creada por Genndy Tartakovsky (el cual es creador de series como primal, samurai jack, el laboratorio de dexter y Titan sim-bionico, entre otras series y películas más) cuenta con una temporada de 10 episodios y estos episodios varían desde 20 a 23 minutos de duración. En cada episodio nos van dando la introducción de este grupo de héroes conformados por estos curiosos seres, una maga poderosa y la cuál lidia con problemas de su pasado con sus padres hasta sus problemas para poder controlar su intenso poder, un elfo el cual es el heredero en un largo linaje de elfos pero el decide convertirse en un héroe más grande y ayudar a este grupo y el cual con su mágica espada puede derrotar a todos los enemigos en su camino, Seng un monje erudito el cual a través de sus ojos puede permanecer en el mundo cósmico y le da el poder de ver las anomalías o los posibles peligros que se acerquen a la tierra o a un plano terrenal y por último pero no menos importante un gran robot con un estilo muy peculiar llamado Copérnico el cual se encarga de proteger a los guerreros, pelear con ellos y transportar sus almas a los siguientes huéspedes cuando hayan derrotado al peligro de ese tiempo. Este grupo de héroes se encargarán de atrapar a este ser que amenaza a la humanidad pero que cuenta con algunos problemas ya que el legado de los héroes se traspasó mal y los héroes se ven confundidos sin saber quiénes son y como funcionan sus poderes.

Hablemos un poco sobre la serie, comenzamos viendo a los héroes originales luchando y peleando juntos y también conocemos un poco más sobre el tratado del unicornio que los hace ser los guerreros eternos, estos deciden que luego de que sus formas ya no puedan con sus almas éstas serán transferidas a otros cuerpo o huéspedes y aquí es donde comienza nuestra historia, en búsqueda de los nuevos guerreros Copérnico viaja hasta toparse con la boda de una joven rubia y allí sabe que ella será la siguiente Melinda, luego en un lugar donde se encontraban algunos niños molestando a otro Copérnico consigue al siguiente guerrero el cual será un pequeño niño, continuando su búsqueda se encuentra en el centro de lo que parece ser la ciudad y ahí ve a un hombre mostrando habilidades mágicas y haciendo sus respectivos trucos de magia y decide que ese será el siguiente edred, el elfo, teniendo a los tres héroes debe ayudarlos a poder controlar sus poderes ya que la transferencia parece que poco a poco va perdiendo parte de la historia de los guerreros y con esto hace que los nuevos huéspedes se encuentren completamente confundidos, con la ayuda de Copérnico y Edred, el cual si conserva los recuerdos de sus antiguas vidas, tienen que ayudar a los dos jóvenes a poder controlar sus poderes y ayudarlo a luchar con esta nueva amenaza que está haciendo desastres en la ciudad.

Comencé a ver esta serie con mi hermano, el me comentó un poco que ésta serie estaba hecha por el creador de la serie de Samurai Jack, la cual fue una de mis series favoritas de niña y sin duda quise ver de que trataba está nueva historia, me sorprendió mucho la animación y fue de gran manera, me encantó en todo sentido y lo que más me gustó fue el hecho de mostrar el proceso del diseño de estos personajes junto con sus expresiones faciales muy marcadas, siendo dibujante esto al final de cada episodio me pareció de lo más especial ya que compartieron un poco de lo que fue el proceso de estos personajes fantásticos. Continuando ahora con la historia me pareció bastante llamativa e original, aunque el tema de un grupo de guerreros que tienen que salvar a la humanidad está un poco rebuscado siempre sera algo que al público le guste, sin embargo lo que hizo a esta serie destacar no solo fue eso sino la originalidad en la historia con respecto al diseño de personajes y sus personalidades, el increíble fondo de cada episodio y con fondo me refiero a los escenarios fantásticos llenos de color y muy muy al estilo steampunk, un estilo el cual es un subgénero del estilo ciberpunk y el cual nació de la ciencia ficción especulativa que surgió en la década de los 1980 y el cual se caracteriza por ser retrofuturista pero con prioridad en la tecnología con vapor, siento que tomar este subgénero fue lo que impulso a la serie ya que atrajo a los fans de la ciencia ficción y todos sus géneros, además de ello la serie cuenta con un gran repertorio de comedia así como drama que se va desde el conocer tu identidad, hasta la culpa por situaciones externas, el manejo del temperamento y el amor, sobretodo el amor ya que se ve como Emma en el cuerpo de emma lucha con sus sentimientos por Edred y por su prometido Winston y los cuales siempre tienen diferentes tipos de disputas, aún así la historia de la serie también es fantástica, el misterio a través de las problemáticas recientes en la ciudad y como poco a poco descubrimos de que realmente se trata ésta magia malvada que se mueve escondido en un vestido y en el cuerpo de un zorro.

Continuing now with the story I found it quite striking and original, although the theme of a group of warriors who have to save humanity is a bit far-fetched it will always be something that the public will like, however what made this series stand out was not only that but the originality in the story with respect to the design of characters and their personalities, the incredible background of each episode and by background I mean the fantastic scenarios full of color and very much in the steampunk style, a style which is a subgenre of cyberpunk style and which was born from the speculative science fiction that emerged in the 1980's and which is characterized by being retrofuturistic but with priority in technology with steam, I feel that taking this subgenre was what boosted the series as it attracted fans of science fiction and all its genres, besides that the series has a large repertoire of comedy as well as drama ranging from knowing your identity, to the guilt for external situations, the management of temper and love, especially love as we see how Emma in Emma's body struggles with her feelings for Edred and her fiancé Winston and which always have different types of disputes, yet the story of the series is also fantastic, the mystery through the recent problems in the city and how little by little we discover what really is this evil magic that moves hidden in a dress and in the body of a fox.
Igualmente con su anterior serie, primal, me atrajo completamente y lo increíble de ambas series y que las hace parecidas en ese sentido es que debes verlas sin saber absolutamente nada, no hay necesidad de conocer nada ya que la misma serie poco a poco te va explicando, en este caso héroes ancestrales que reencarnan cada que el mal regresa, un tema llamativo para los espectadores, en un londres en los 1980 en donde las maquinarias con vapor y la magia son el principal atractivo para las personas, en cada episodio podemos conocer un poco sobre la historia de nuestros héroes, la historia del monje Seng y todo sus conocimientos, la historia de la vida de edred y como terminó siendo un guerrero si este estaba a punto de ser heredero de su reino y por supuesto la historia de Melinda, la bruja quien lidia con sus poderes y por supuesto con su nueva huésped Emma la cuál intenta comprender como terminó siendo una guerrera eterna. El creador de la serie cuenta también que le tomó más de 20 años preparando esta serie y se nota todo el esfuerzo en los pequeños detalles y en toda la serie en general, no solo tardó tanto perfeccionandola sino en presentarla ya que muchas compañías no querían "arriesgarse" con ella, así mismo el creador nos comenta que se enamoró de la idea de la serie, el que un día seas uno y luego al siguiente día eres otro, la metáfora de lo que es ser un adolescente y luego ser un adulto y siento que es una frase que va muy bien con esta serie, en su totalidad podemos ver qué uno de nuestros personajes principales es Emma y Melinda las cuales están en constante desacuerdo y que a pesar de que creen que no tiene sentido que ella sea la nueva huésped todo tiene un por qué y eso sería el desarrollo como persona en ambas, espero muy pronto saber noticias sobre que se acepte la segunda temporada de esta serie ya que cuenta con tantas cosas increíbles que se me hizo imposible no amarla.

Sin duda cuenta con una gran variedad de personajes entrañables, algunos de ellos nos sorprenderán y demostrarán que son más de lo que parecían.
