Hello dear internet friends! I hope you are well, today I would like to tell you about a movie that I really like "A Cinderella Story" released in 2005 by Warner Bros Pictures and starring Hilary Duff and Chad Michael Murray.
¡Hola queridos amigos de internet! Espero estén bien, hoy me gustaría hablarles de una pelicula que me gusta mucho "A Cinderella Story" lanzada en 2005 por Warner Bros Pictures y protagonizada por Hilary Duff y Chad Michael Murray.
The story tells us about Samantha Montgomery, a girl who is left in the care of her stepmother after her father dies, who mistreats her and makes her work as a waitress in the cafeteria that belonged to her father. Not only is her stepmother bad for her, but also her stepsisters who turn out to be quite annoying and also make her life impossible. Sam in his free time makes a cyber friend with whom he communicates through text messages. When this boy invites her to a masquerade ball, she realizes that her mysterious friend is actually Austin Ames, the most popular boy in school. Sam runs away from the dance because she must continue working at the cafeteria but inadvertently drops her phone. Sam discovers his father's will in which he says that she is the owner of the house and the cafeteria, so the stepmother is arrested for exploiting Sam as a minor and for financial fraud, for which she is forced to work in the cafeteria and return all the money that was stolen. In the end Sam and Austin go to college together.
La historia nos habla de Samantha Montgomery, una chica que queda al cuidado de su madrastra luego de que su padre fallece la cual la maltrata y la hace trabajar como camarera en la cafeteria que era de su padre. No solamente su madrastra es mala, también sus hermanastras las cuales resultan ser bastante pesadas y también le hacen la vida imposible. Sam en su tiempo libre hace un ciberamigo con el cual se comunica a través de mensajes de texto. Cuando este chico la invita a un baile de disfraces ella se da cuenta que su amigo misterioso es en realidad Austin Ames el chico mas popular del colegio. Sam escapa del baile porque debe continuar trabajando en la cafetería pero sin darse cuenta deja caer su teléfono. Sam descubre el testamento de su padre en el que dice que ella es la dueña de la casa y la cafeteria por lo que la madrastra es arrestada por explotar a Sam siendo menor de edad y por fraude financiero por lo que es obligada a trabajar en la cafeteria y a devolver todo el dinero que se robó. Al final Sam y Austin van juntos a la universidad.
The story, although simple, seemed good and entertaining to me, I consider that the actors did a good job in developing the characters since the viewer can automatically hate Sam's stepmother and stepsisters since they are very hateful and annoying from the beginning, too there are other characters like Rhonda and Carter who I found adorable. This movie caught my attention because Hilary Duff is one of my favorite actresses and singers since 2003 and at that time I liked to see all the movies she appeared in, and I must say that I really liked her work in this movie.
La historia aunque sencilla me pareció buena y entretenida, considero que los actores hicieron un buen trabajo en el desarrollo de los personajes ya que el espectador autómaticamente puede odiar a la madrastra y hermanastras de Sam ya que son muy odiosas y pesadas desde el principio, también hay otros personajes como Rhonda y Carter los cuales me parecieron adorables. Me llamó la atención esta película ya que Hilary Duff es una de mis actrices y cantantes favoritas desde el 2003 y para ese entonces me gustaba ver todas las peliculas en las que ella saliera, y debo decir que realmente me gustó su trabajo en esta película.
The photography seemed quite simple to me but I liked it, also some scenarios, I really enjoyed scenes like where Sam and Austin dance which I found very adorable, as well as in the American Football game where Sam and Austin kiss for the first time. I admit that although I hated the stepmother she also made me laugh in some scenes like the one where she tells her daughters that she can't laugh because of the botox and that it will take time to show emotions, Hilary in those years seemed like a pretty funny actress so I laughed at several scenes with her, like the one where she bumps into a locker door and the guy who was there says "thank you."
La fotografía me pareció bastante sencilla pero me gustó, también algunos escenarios, disfruté mucho escenas como en dónde Sam y Austin bailan la cual me pareció muy adorable, así como en el partido de Futbol Americano en dónde Sam y Austin se besan por primera vez. Reconozco que aunque odié a la madrastra también me hizo reir en algunas escenas cómo en la que les dice a sus hijas que no puede reír debido al bótox y que tardará en mostrar emociones, Hilary en aquellos años me parecía una actriz bastante graciosa por lo que me reí en varias escenas con ella, cómo en la que se golpea con la puerta de un casillero y el chico que estaba allí le dice "gracias".
I also loved the soundtrack, it includes several songs sung by Hilary and other artists that I like, my favorite songs are "Crash World" by Hilary Duff and "One In This World" by Haylie Duff. The songs that were included in the movie in my opinion fit perfectly with the story and I really liked having bought it on CD.
La banda sonora también me encantó, incluye varias canciones cantadas por Hilary y otros artistas que son de mi agrado, mis canciones favoritas son "Crash World" de Hilary Duff y "One In This World" de Haylie Duff. Las canciones que fueron incluidas en la pelicula a mi parecer quedan a la perfección con la historia y me gustó mucho haberlo comprado en CD.
Even though it's an old movie I still like to enjoy it, I think I've already seen it more than "a million times" and I'll never get tired of watching it. I consider it one of my favorite movies of my adolescence and I would like to recommend it to everyone, they have also released several sequels of which I have only seen 2 but in my opinion this is the best, I really like to enjoy it with my family.
A pesar de que es una pelicula algo vieja todavía me gusta disfrutarla, creo que ya la he visto más de "un millón de veces" y nunca me cansaré de verla. La considero una de mis peliculas favoritas de mi adolescencia y me gustaría recomendarsela a todos, también han sacado varias secuelas de las cuales solamente he visto 2 pero a mi parecer esta es la mejor, me gusta mucho disfrutarla en familia.
