Hello, my dear moviegoing friends! I hope you are very well! As you know, the month of fear is not over yet and the Halloween contest continues, so I am very excited to share my horror movies with you. Today I want to share my opinion about one of my favorite movies, "The Conjuring" which was released in 2013 and stars Patrick Wilson, Vera Farmiga, Ron Livingston and Lili Taylor, I hope you like it.

Cómo saben aún no se termina el mes del miedo y el concurso de Halloween continúa, por lo que estoy muy emocionada de compartir mis películas de terror con ustedes. Hoy les quiero compartir mi opinión acerca de una de mis películas favoritas se trata de "The Conjuring" la cual fué estrenada en el 2013 y está protagonizada por Patrick Wilson, Vera Farmiga, Ron Livingston y Lili Taylor, espero les guste.
Plot / Trama
The film is based on one of the cases of famous parapsychologists Ed and Lorraine Warren. In 1971 the Perron family (Roger, Carolyn, and their 5 daughters) move to a farm located in Rhode Island unaware that the farm is haunted by the spirit of a woman accused of witchcraft named Bathsheba who offered her son to the devil. before being hanged. At first the arrival of the family at the house was normal, although then they begin to notice strange things like the strange behavior of their pet which one day wakes up dead, Carolyn begins to get bruises on her arms and legs, the clocks stop At 3:07 in the morning, one of the girls begins to sleepwalk, and another notices the presence of a demon on top of a closet, so Carolyn contacts Ed and Lorraine Warren to help them get the evil entity out of the house
La película se basa en uno de los casos de los famosos parapsicólogos Ed y Lorraine Warren. En 1971 la familia Perron (Roger, Carolyn, y sus 5 hijas) se muda a una granja localizada en Rhode Island sin saber que la granja está embrujada por el espíritu de una mujer acusada de brujería llamada Bathsheba la cual ofrendó a su hijo al diablo antes de morir ahorcada. Al principio la llegada de la familia a la casa fué normal, aunque luego empiezan a notar cosas extrañas como el raro comportamiento de su mascota la cual un día amanece muerta, a Carolyn empiezan a salirle moretones en los brazos y piernas, los relojes se detienen a las 3:07 de la mañana, una de las niñas empieza a caminar dormida, y otra se percata de la presencia de un demonio encima de un armario por lo que Carolyn contacta a Ed y Lorraine Warren para que los ayude a sacar a entidad maligna de la casa.
When the Warrens arrive at the property, they immediately notice the evil presences, so they begin to investigate to collect evidence of the possession of the house to perform an exorcism which has to be authorized by the Vatican. While conducting an investigation into the past of the house, Andrea, one of the Perron's daughters, discovers a secret access from her room to the basement, but when Lorraine enters to explore, she falls into the basement and meets Bathsheba's spirit head-on. . The Perrons decide to go to a motel while the Warrens finish their investigation and take the evidence to the church in hopes of getting authorization for the exorcism. Carolyn is possessed by Bathsheba and brings her 2 youngest daughters back to the house with the intention of sacrificing them as an offering.
Cuando los Warren llegan a la propiedad enseguida se percatan de las presencias malignas por lo que empiezan a investigar para recolectar pruebas de la posesión de la casa para practicar un exorcismo el cual tiene que ser autorizado por el Vaticano. Mientras realizan la investigación sobre el pasado de la casa, Andrea una de las hijas de los Perron descubre un acceso secreto de su cuarto al sótano pero Lorraine cuando entra a explorar cae al sótano y se encuentra con el espíritu de Bathsheba de frente. Los Perron deciden irse a un motel mientras los Warren acaban de investigar y llevan las pruebas a la iglesia con la esperanza de conseguir la autorización para el exorcismo. Carolyn es poseída por Bathsheba y lleva a sus 2 hijas menores de vuelta a la casa con la intención de sacrificarlas como ofrenda.
When Ed and Lorraine arrive they find Carolyn totally possessed with the girls in the basement trying to stab one of her daughters, so they tie her to a chair and decide to perform the exorcism as there is no time to waste. In the middle of the exorcism Ed is attacked by Bathsheba and Carolyn tries to kill her daughter but Lorraine distracts her so that Ed completes the exorcism, saving Carolyn and her daughter from her and ending Bathsheba's curse forever. After this case, when Ed and Lorraine arrive home, Ed leaves a music box that he brought from the farm in the room where they keep cursed items.
Cuando Ed y Lorraine llegan consiguen a Carolyn totalmente poseída con las niñas en el sótano tratando de apuñalar a una de sus hijas, por lo que la atan a una silla y deciden realizar el exorcismo ya que no hay tiempo que perder. En pleno exorcismo Ed es atacado por Bathsheba y Carolyn intenta matar a su hija pero Lorraine la distrae para que Ed complete el exorcismo, logrando que Carolyn y su hija se salven y acabando con la maldición de Bathsheba para siempre. Luego de este caso cuando Ed y Lorraine llegan a casa, Ed deja en la habitación donde guardan articulos malditos una caja musical que trajo de la granja.
My Opinion / Mi Opinión
This movie really caught my attention because I'm a big fan of horror movies that are based on real events. I found it quite terrifying the first time I saw it, and let's say I'm a masochist because after I watch these kinds of movies I have trouble sleeping, but it's impossible not to like it hahaha. In this movie at the beginning they show a small glimpse of the "Annabelle" doll which is one of the most famous cases of the Warrens that occurred in 1968 and that also aroused my curiosity and I investigated about it, I was surprised to see that Annabelle is in actually a Raggedy Ann doll (because I really like Raggedy) and they still have it in a locked box in the room where they keep the damn things they keep from every case they solve. Nowadays that room is a museum that can be visited by the public which I would like to visit but, I would not like to touch anything just in case.
Esta película llamó mucho mi atención por que, soy muy fan de las películas de terror que se basan en hechos reales. Me pareció bastante aterradora la primera vez que la ví, y digamos que soy masoquista porque luego que miro este tipo de películas luego tengo problemas para dormir pero, es imposible que me dejen de gustar jajaja. En esta película al principio muestran un pequeño vistazo del de la muñeca "Annabelle" el cual es uno de los casos más famosos de los Warren ocurrido en 1968 y que también despertó mi curiosidad e investigué al respecto, me sorprendí al ver que Annabelle es en realidad una muñeca de Raggedy Ann (ya que me gustan mucho los Raggedy) y todavía la tienen en una caja con candado en la habitación dónde guardan las cosas malditas que guardan de cada caso que resuelven. Hoy en día esa habitación es un museo que puede ser visitado por el público el cual me gustaría visitar pero, no me gustaría tocar nada por si acaso.
I really liked the photography and the special effects of the film, it has a very good atmosphere of the 70's era. The color palette seemed excellent to me and also the make-up of the character of the witch Bathsheba since I confess, it gave me a lot fear. The story is also quite good and in my opinion it is very well developed and the actors did a great job with each of the characters, Vera Farmiga, Patrick Wilson and Lili Taylor I had already seen before in other movies and they seem very good to me actors. Although this type of case catches my attention, I would not like to experience one myself since I am actually very fearful hahaha.
Me gustó mucho la fotografía y los efectos especiales de la pelicula, tiene una muy buena ambientación de la época de los 70. La paleta de colores me pareció excelente y también el maquillaje del personaje de la bruja Bathsheba ya que lo confieso, me dió mucho miedo. La historia también es bastante buena y en mi opinión está muy bien desarrollada y los actores hicieron un gran trabajo con cada uno de los personajes, a Vera Farmiga, Patrick Wilson y Lili Taylor ya los había visto anteriormente en otras peliculas y me parecen muy buenos actores. Aunque me llama mucho la atención este tipo de casos, no me gustaría experimentar uno en carne propia ya que en realidad soy muy miedosa jajaja.
Many scenes scared me, I will name some like the one in which Carolyn is locked in the basement, also in which Lorraine falls there and faces the spirit of Bathsheba or the exorcism just to name a few, it is one of the few horror movies that I have seen that kept me hooked and anxious to know what is going to happen the first time I saw it. After seeing the movie I did some research on Bathsheba as she is not an entirely fictional character, she was actually a rather lonely devil worshiping witch who lived in the 1800's, her real name was Bathsheba Sawyer who married a farmer from surname Sherman with whom he had a son who they say tried to kill him by stabbing him with a sharp object. She hanged herself after proclaiming her love for Satan and cursed anyone who dared to live on her land. I find it really creepy that this curse was maintained for so many years after Bathsheba's death, so it gives me chills to imagine that many other people were also haunted there by the evil spirit.
Muchas escenas me dieron miedo, nombraré algunas como en la que Carolyn se queda encerrada en el sótano, también en la que Lorraine cae allí y se enfrenta al espíritu de Bathsheba o la del exorcismo sólo por nombrar algunas, es de las pocas peliculas de terror que he visto que me mantuvo enganchada y ansiosa por saber que va a pasar la primera vez que la ví. Después de ver la película investigué un poco sobre Bathsheba ya que no es un personaje enteramete ficticio, en realidad fué una bruja adoradora del diablo bastante solitaria que vivió en los años 1800, su verdadero nombre era Bathsheba Sawyer la cual se casó con un granjero de apellido Sherman con el cual tuvo un hijo el que cuentan que intentó matarlo clavándole un objeto punzante. Se ahorcó luego de proclamar su amor por Satanás y maldijo a todo aquel que se atreviera a vivir en sus tierras. Me resulta realmente espeluznante que esa maldición se mantuviese por tantos años luego de la muerte de Bathsheba por lo que me da escalofríos imaginar que muchas otras personas también fueron asechadas allí por el maligno espirítu.

It shows in the film since as he narrates in his book, Bathsheba was a quite terrifying spirit and other benign spirits also inhabited the house. Today Andrea maintains the truth of her story.
Algo más que descubrí es que la casa dónde pasó todo fué recientemente vendida en 1,2 millones de dólares, y me imagino que el valor lo obtuvo debido a la popularidad que obtuvo la película ya que no solamente recibió buenas críticas sino que también recaudó bastante dinero en su estreno. Aunque mucha gente dice que los casos de investigación que realizaron los Warren (este incluído) son ficticios, Andrea Perron la hija mayor del matrimonio habló sobre el caso en un libro que publicó donde relata que el caso de hecho es más aterrador de lo que se muestra en la película ya que como narra en su libro, Bathsheba era un espiritu bastante aterrador y en la casa también habitaban otros espíritus benignos. Hoy en día Andrea sostiene la veracidad de su historia.
To finish, I would say that in general terms I really loved this movie, the story is very interesting and the movie is very well done, I also liked that Lorraine participated in the movie not only in a cameo, but also provided important data, and that Ed Warren's tape was used in its making. This movie seems excellent to me to have a good time of horror and I jump watching it at home so I would like to recommend it to all those who have not yet had the opportunity to see it, I assure you that you will not regret it, it also has 2 others sequels based on other of his most outstanding cases. It should be noted that Ed and Lorraine Warren also investigated the Amityville case (in fact after this case) whose film I also really liked and I found it really terrifying.
Para finalizar, diría que en términos generales esta película realmente me encantó, la historia es muy interesante y la pelicula está muy bien hecha, también me gustó que Lorraine participara en la película no solamente en un cameo, sino también proporcionó datos importantes, y que se haya utilizado la cinta de Ed Warren en su realización. Esta película me parece excelente para pasar un buen rato de espanto y brinco viéndola en casa por lo que me gustaría recomendarla a todos los que todavía no han tenido la oportunidad de verla, les aseguro que no se van a arrepentir, también cuenta con otras 2 secuelas basadas en otros de sus casos más destacados. Cabe destacar que Ed y Lorraine Warren tambipen investigaron sobre el caso de Amityville (de hecho luego de este caso) cuya película también me gustó mucho y me pareció realmente aterradora.
