"El Diario de la Princesa" es una pelicula lanzada en el año 2001 por Walt Disney Pictures, la cual nos trae a Anne Hathaway como la princesa Mia Thermopolis, la cual es una adolescente nada popular cuya vida da un giro de 180 grados cuando se entera que proviene de la realeza, ya que su abuela paterna Clarisse Renaldi es la Reina de un pequeño reino europeo llamado "Genovia" y después de la muerte de su padre ella se convierte en la próxima heredera al trono.

Mia no solo recibe clases de protocolo y buenos modales, también cambian drásticamente su imagen pasando de ser una adolescente algo desaliñada a una linda y glamorosa joven cuya transformación hace que sus compañeros la traten distinto, y también recibe una limusina la cual conduce Joe el jefe de seguridad y confidente de la Reina. Al principio su mejor amiga Lily Moscovitz le tiene envidia pero luego al contarle que es una princesa su actitud cambia.
This movie has very funny scenes, my favorite is where Mia drives a car with her grandmother as co-pilot and when going up a steep street she does not succeed, causing the car to turn around and collide with a train, and when the police arrive, the Queen manages to stop the police from taking them to the station by giving the policemen the "Genovian Order of the Rose".
Esta pelicula tiene escenas muy graciosas, mi favorita es en donde Mia conduce un auto con su abuela de copiloto y al subir una calle empinada lo no logra haciendo que el auto se devuelva y choca con un tren, y al llegar la policía la Reina logra hacer que la policía no las lleve a la estación dándole a los policías con la "Orden Genoviana de la Rosa".
As Mia became popular Josh (Mia's crush) invites her to a beach party in which she has a very bad time, since not only does Lana make the paparazzi photograph her wearing only a towel, Josh also uses it to obtain fame by forcibly kissing her in front of the paparazzi, photos that when published in the newspaper annoy the Queen who considered them inappropriate for a princess and ends up reprimanding her strongly.
Como Mia se fué haciendo popular Josh (el crush de Mia) la invita a una fiesta en la playa en cual ella la pasa muy mal, ya que no sólo Lana hace que los papparazzi la fotografíen usando sólo una toalla, Josh también la utiliza para obtener fama besándola a la fuerza en frente de los papparazzi, fotos que al salir publicadas en el periódico molestan a la Reina la cual las consideró inapropiadas para una princesa y termina reprendiéndola fuertemente.
After this Mia promises to give up her princess title, Joe talks to Clarisse and tells her that although she is a princess, she is still a teenager and her granddaughter, and that as a grandmother she was very harsh in reprimanding her. Luego de esto Mia promete renunciar a su titulo de princesa, Joe habla con Clarisse y le dice que aunque ella sea una princesa, es todavía una adolescente y su nieta, y que como abuela fué muy dura al reprenderla. Clarisse reflexiona y se disculpa a Mia por regañarla y le dice que debe renunciar públicamente a su titulo en el baile, y Mia al aterrarse por tener que hablar en público decide hiur, pero mientras preparaba sus cosas consigue una carta de su padre la cual la hace querer aceptar su titulo.
Mia tries to get to the dance but her car goes out in the middle of a rain, but Joe arrives in the limousine and rescues her, and when she arrives at the dance she gathers her courage and gives a good speech where she finally decides to accept her title of Princess of Genovia. She then puts on a dress and heads with the Queen to the ballroom, where Michael asks her to dance.
Mia intenta llegar al baile pero su carro se apaga en medio de una lluvia, pero Joe llega en la limusina y la rescata, y al llegar al baile ella se arma de valor y da un buen discurso dónde decide acetar finalmente su titulo de Princesa de Genovia. Luego se pone un vestido y se dirige con la Reina al salón de baile, dónde Michael la invita a bailar.
During the dance Michael and Mia confess their feelings and then they kiss making Mia lift her foot like in the movies and after enjoying the dance, in the final scene Mia is shown on the plane arriving in Genovia with her cat Fat Louie and writing in his diary where he says that he plans to move to Genovia with his mother.
Durante el baile Michael y Mia se confiesan sus sentimientos y luego se besan haciendo que Mia levante su pie como en las peliculas y luego de disfrutar del baile, en la escena final se muestra a Mia en el avión llegando a Genovia co su gato Fat Louie y escribiendo en su diario donde dice que planea mudarse a Genovia con su madre.
This movie is very charming and I never get tired of watching it, it has a sequel released in 2004 and there is also a possible third part which will have Anne Hathaway and Julie Andrews back which is not done yet but I hope it will come true. I highly recommend it to people who haven't seen it yet, I promise you won't regret watching it.
Esta pelicula es muy encantadora y nunca me canso de verla, tiene una secuela lanzada en el 2004 y también hay una posible tercera parte la cual tendrá de vuelta a Anne Hathaway y Julie Andrews la cual todavía no está hecha pero espero que se vuelva realidad. La recomiedo ampliamente a las personas que todavía no la han visto, les prometo que no se arrepentirán de verla.
