Hello dear cinephile friends! I hope you are very well, today I would like to talk to you about a movie that I really like called "Monte Carlo" released in 2011 through 20th Century FOX and starring Selena Gomez, Leighton Meester and Katie Cassidy.
¡Hola queridos amigos cinéfilos! Espero se encuentren muy bien, hoy me gustaría hablarles acerca de una pelicula que me gusta mucho llamada "Monte Carlo" lanzada en el 2011 a través de 20th Century FOX y protagonizada por Selena Gomez, Leighton Meester y Katie Cassidy.
The plot tells us the story of Grace, an 18-year-old teenager who has been saving money for a long time to travel to Paris with her best friend Emma, but thanks to her stepfather, her stepsister Meg joins them on the trip, who does not agree anymore. who gets along very badly with Emma, but ends up going anyway. Once in Paris, Grace is mistaken for a very obnoxious heiress named Cordelia and decides to impersonate her as Emma and Meg convince her of her, so they are then driven to Monte Carlo to participate in a charity event.
La trama nos cuenta la historia de Grace, una adolescente de 18 años que desde hace tiempo está ahorrando dinero para viajar a París con su mejor amiga Emma pero gracias a su padrastro se les une al viaje su hermanastra Meg la cual no está de acuerdo ya que se lleva muy mal con Emma, pero igual termina yendo. Una vez en Paris, Grace es confundida con una heredera muy odiosa llamada Cordelia y decide hacerse pasar por ella ya que Emma y Meg la convencen, por lo que luego son conducidas a Monte Carlo para participar en un evento benéfico.
The story, although it is a typical cliché, is quite entertaining, the evolution of the characters as the movie progresses is good too. I really liked Selena Gomez's work playing Grace and Cordelia since they both have completely different personalities and in my opinion she managed to interpret them both quite well, although to be honest I liked Grace's personality much more since Cordelia is quite unpleasant from the beginning.
La historia aunque es un tipíco cliché resulta bastante entretenida, la evolución de los personajes a medida que transcurre la pelicula es buena también. Me gustó mucho el trabajo de Selena Gomez interpretando a Grace y a Cordelia ya que ambas tienen personalidades totalmente distintas y a mi parecer logró interpretarlas a ambas bastante bien, aunque para ser sincera me gustó mucho más la personalidad de Grace ya que Cordelia es bastante antipática desde el principio.
I also liked the work of Leighton Meester and Katie Cassidy with their interpretations, since they also managed to give their characters a good evolution, since at first both of them can't stand each other but then they manage to get along, and Emma, who at first seemed somewhat superficial to me but then she manages to mature and reunites with the love of her life who followed her on her journey. And Meg also manages to mature thanks to the fact that during the trip she manages to find love and live a beautiful romance. Although it is the typical movie where the characters change for the better thanks to love, it is quite tender.
El trabajo de Leighton Meester y Katie Cassidy con sus interpretaciones también me gustó bastante ya que también le lograron dar buena evolución a sus personajes, ya que al principio ambas no se soportan pero luego logran llevarse bien, y Emma que al principio me parecía algo superficial pero luego logra madurar y se reúne con el amor de su vida el cual la siguió en su viaje. Y Meg también logra madurar gracias a que durante el viaje logra encontrar el amor y vivir un lindo romance. A pesar de que es la típica pelicula dónde los personajes cambian para bien gracias al amor es bastante tierna.
Theo's character seems quite adorable to me, from the beginning he manages to empathize and makes a nice couple with Grace (despite the fact that he thinks it's Cordelia) and although after the trip both end up separated since Theo is quite hurt by the lie, I I liked that some time later they met again and Theo gave Grace another chance. It seems to me that Theo's emotions and reactions were captured in the right way since in other movies the characters react in less realistic ways.
El personaje de Theo me parece bastante adorable, desde un principio logra empatizar y hace una bonita pareja con Grace (a pesar de que piensa que es Cordelia) y aunque luego del viaje ambos terminan separados ya que Theo resulta bastante herido por la mentira, me gustó que tiempo después se reencontraran y Theo le diera otra oportunidad a Grace, Me parece que las emociones y reacciones de Theo fueron plasmadas de la manera correcta ya que en otras películas los personajes reaccionan de maneras menos realistas.
The photography seemed very beautiful to me, as well as the locations chosen to record. The shots that they showed of both Paris and Monte Carlo are really beautiful and although it is not the best film I have seen, I found it quite pleasant and entertaining, so I would like to recommend it to all those who have not yet seen it, I assure you that they will enjoy it as much as I do since it is a very good movie to enjoy either with the family, or just at home.
La fotografía me pareció muy bonita al igual que las locaciones escogidas para grabar. Son de verdad hermosos los planos que mostraron tanto de París como de Monte Carlo y aunque no es la mejor película que he visto, me pareció bastante agradable y entretenida por lo que me gustaría recomendársela a todos los que todavía no la hayan visto, les aseguro que la disfrutarán tanto como yo ya que es una pelicula muy buena para disfrutar ya sea en familia, o sólo en casa.
