Today I want to share with you one of the movies about World War II that has impacted me the most, it is "Schindler's List" a movie directed by Steven Spielberg and starring Liam Neeson, Ben Kingsley, Ralph Fiennes and Embeth Davidtz. Hoy quiero compartir con ustedes una de las peliculas sobre la Segunda Guerra Mundial que mas me han impactado, se trata de "La Lista de Schindler" una pelicula dirigida por Steven Spielberg y protagonizada por Liam Neeson, Ben Kingsley, Ralph Fiennes y Embeth Davidtz. Espero les guste.
Short Summary / Breve Resumen
The plot tells us about Oskar Schindler, a German member of the Nazi party who saved the lives of approximately 1,200 Jews by employing them in his factories. His assistant was a Polish Jewish accountant named Itzhak Stern who sought to save Jews from deportation to concentration camps. The officer Amon Göth was a mercenary who did not mind killing human beings in cold blood, so Schindler, dismayed and affected by these brutal attacks, decides to help the Jews by bribing this officer and others in order to save the Jews, from In fact he spends most of his fortune on this and when he runs out of money in 1945 the war in Europe was already over.
La trama nos cuenta sobre Oskar Schindler, un alemán miembro del partido nazi el cual salvó la vida de 1200 judíos aproximadamente empleándolos en sus fabricas. Su ayudante era el contable judío polaco llamado Itzhak Stern el cual buscaba salvar a los judíos de las deportaciones a campos de concentración. El oficial Amon Göth era un mercenario al cual no le importaba asesinar a sangre fría a seres humanos, por lo que Schindler consternado y afectado por estos brutales ataques decide ayudar a los judíos sobornando a este oficial y a otros para poder salvar a los judíos, de hecho gasta la mayor parte de su fortuna en esto y cuando se queda sin dinero en 1945 ya la guerra en Europa había acabado.
My Opinion / Mi Opinión
Well, to begin with, this is one of the movies about World War II that has impacted me the most, it is incredible to see the brutality with which the Jews were massacred without compassion, so the character that I hated the most is that of the officer of the SS Amon Göth (played by Ralph Fiennes), who was a mercenary without feelings who killed without any remorse, personally the scenes in which his crimes were shown were the ones that hurt me the most and made me cry, on the other hand Oskar Schindler (played by Liam Neeson) for me was a hero for having saved many lives, since despite being a member of the Nazi party he demonstrated his human worth by doing everything possible to save his workers. And the way that Steven Spielberg had to highlight Schindler's disinterest in the atrocities that were committed at that time was really excellent in one of the first scenes of the film.
Bueno, para empezar esta es una de las peliculas sobre la Segunda Guerra Mundial que mas me ha impactado, es increible ver la brutalidad con la que los judíos eran masacrados sin compasión, por lo que el personaje que más odié es el del oficial de las SS Amon Göth (interpretado por Ralph Fiennes), el cual era un mercenario sin sentimientos que mataba sin remordimiento alguno, en lo personal las escenas en las que se mostraban sus crímenes fueron las que más me dolieron y me hicieron llorar, por otro lado Oskar Schindler (interpretado por Liam Neeson) para mí fue un héroe por haber salvado muchas vidas, ya que a pesar de ser miembro del partido nazi demostró su valía humana al hacer todo lo posible por salvar a sus trabajores. Y la manera que tuvo Steven Spielberg de remarcar el desinterés de Schindler por las atrocidades que se cometían en esa época fué de verdad excelente en una de las primeras escenas de la pelicula.
Steven Spielberg's work as a director in my opinion was exceptional, since I really liked that the film at the beginning began with scenes in technicolor format, and then the film turned into black and white, this has a purpose since Steven wanted to represent the horror of war with these dark colors, so the use of this colored avocado was exceptional. Photography is another thing that I loved and admired a lot about this movie since it was recorded as a documentary, so the work done by Janusz Kaminski is really excellent, and personally to me it was also very hard to see this movie due to the reality that is shown in the scenes.
El trabajo de Steven Spielberg como director en mi opinión fué excepcional, ya que me gustó mucho que la película al principio empezara con escenas en formato technicolor, y luego la pelicula se tornara en blanco y negro, esto tiene un propósito ya que Steven quiso representar el horror de la guerra con estos colores oscuros, por lo que el uso de esta palta de colores fué excepcional. La fotografía es otra cosa que me encantó y admiré mucho de esta pelicula ya que fué grabada como un documental, así que el trabajo realizado por Janusz Kaminski es realmente excelente, por lo que en lo personal para mí también fue muy fuerte ver esta pelicula debido a la realidad que se muestra en las escenas.
The work of the actors was also really exceptional, I feel that they managed to totally represent the horrors of that time, the interpretation of Liam Neeson as Oskar Schindler for me was really exceptional, as well as that of Ralph Fiennes as Amon Göth since he represented it in a way so realistic that it made the real officer Amon angry. In general, all the actors who worked on this film were excellent, they managed to convey to me the pain that was experienced at that time. Several scenes impacted me, such as those in which the officer Amon shot the Jews without any remorse, but the one that I think hurt me the most is where a girl with a red coat appears, who while fleeing is also killed. Seeing the murder of a girl was what made Schindler realize all these horrors and he is deeply affected, so although he continues to have cordial dealings with Göth and the SS, he secretly decides to help the Jews, so he flatters and bribes the Jews. Nazis to save their workers.
El trabajo de los actores también fué realmente excepcional, siento que lograron representar totalmentelos horrores de esa época, la interpretación de Liam Neeson como Oskar Schindler para mí fué realmente excepcional, así como el de Ralph Fiennes como Amon Göth ya que lo representó de una manera tan realista que hizo que le tuviese rabia al verdadero oficial Amon. En general todos los actores que trabajaron en esta pelicula fué excelente, me lograron transmitir el dolor que se vivía en esa época. Varias escenas me impactaron como en las que el oficial Amon fusilaba a los judíos sin remordimiento alguno, pero la que considero que más me dolió es en dónde sale una niña con un abrigo rojo, la cual mientras huía también es asesinada. Ver el asesinato de niña fué la que hizo que Schindler se diera cuenta de todos estos horrores y queda profundamente afectado, por lo que aunque sigue teniendo tratos cordiales con Göth y las SS secretamente decide ayudar a los judíos por lo que adula y soborna a los nazis para salvar a sus trabajadores.
I was very moved by how Steven represented the change of Oskar Schindler in the film, since at first when he was talking to his accountant about the Jews he said "What can I do?" but in the end when he says goodbye to his workers in tears he said "I could have done much more, I could have saved more", Schindler prepares to surrender to the US troops and the Jews give him a document signed by all where they explain their role in the saving of their lives and a ring with the fat "whoever saves a life, saves the world". They also show us the well deserved execution of Amon Göth and a review on the life of Oskar Schindler, then the black and white scenes are filled with color to show the real surviving Jews thanks to Schindler and who were still alive when they made this movie that alongside the actors who portrayed them paying tribute to Schindler in Jerusalem, laying a stone on his grave, and then Liam Neeson comes over to leave a couple of roses as well.
Me conmovió mucho como Steven representó el cambio de Oskar Schindler en la pelicula, ya que al primero cuando hablaba con su contador sobre los judíos decía "¿Que puedo hacer yo?" pero al final cuando se despide de sus trabajadores entre lágrimas dijo "Pude haber hecho mucho más, pude haber salvado a más", Schindler se prepara para rendirse ante las tropas estadounidenses y los judíos le entregan un documento firmado por todos en donde explican su papel en la salvación de sus vidas y un anillo con la grase "quien salva a una vida, salva el mundo". También nos muestran la merecida ejecución de Amon Göth y una reseña sobre la vida de Oskar Schindler, luego las escenas en blanco y negro se llenan de color para mostrar a los verdaderos judíos sobrevivientes gracias a Schindler y que todavía estaban vivos cuando realizaron esta pelicula que junto a los actores que los representaron rindiendo tributo a Scchindler en Jerusalén, depositando una piedra en su tumba y luego, Liam Neeson se acerca a dejar un par de rosas también.
The soundtrack of the movie is something that I also liked, the composer John Williams did an incredible job in creating this soundtrack which makes the movie even more emotional. Although it's a movie with more than 3 hours of duration, it is a great work and in my opinion one of the best that is in charge of portraying in the most realistic and crude way possible the atrocities to which the Jews were subjected during the Nazi period. Oskar Schindler's story taught me to help others in difficult times and that one person can make a difference in so much misfortune, I am really happy to have been able to learn about his story through this spectacular film. It should be noted that he was not the only hero who helped and saved thousands of Jews from a cruel fate since there were also other important characters who saved countless lives whose stories have really touched my heart and I am glad to know that in such a horrible time in the world, not all people were bad.
El soundtrack de la pelicula es algo que también me gustó, el compositor John Williams hizo un increible trabajo en la creación de este soundtrack el cual hace que la pelicula sea aún más emocional. Aunque es una pelicula con más de 3 horas de duración es una gran obra y en mi opinión una de las mejores que se encarga de retratar de la manera más realista y cruda posible las atrocidades a las que fueron sometidos los judíos durante el periodo nazi, la historia de Oskar Schindler me enseñó a ayudar a los demás en tiempos difíciles y que una persona puede hacer la diferencia en tanta desgracia, estoy realmente feliz de haber podido conocer su historia a través de esta pelicula tan espectacular. Cabe resaltar que el no fué el único héroe que ayudó y salvó a miles de judíos de un destino cruel ya que también hubo otros personajes importantes que salvaron incontables vidas cuyas historias realmente me han llegado al corazón y me alegra saber que en una época tan horrible en el mundo, no todas las personas eran malas.
To finish, I would say that this movie is one of the best I have seen, this type of movies catch my attention and I have seen many stories but this has been the one that has impacted me the most. It is an unforgettable movie for me and I would like to recommend it to all those who have not yet had the opportunity to see it, but I would recommend that when they see it they have a box of tissues handy since it is impossible not to cry watching it and it is a film that It makes us feel angry about those years. It should be noted that Spielberg refuses to release a color version of this film since, in his opinion, it would be "beautifying those facts" and I couldn't agree more.
Para finalizar, diría que esta pelicula es una de las mejores que he visto, a mi me llaman la atención este tipo de peliculas y he visto muchas historias pero esta ha sido la que mas me ha impactado. Es para mí una pelicula inolvidable y me gustaría recomendarla a todos los que todavía no han tenido la oportunidad de verla, eso sí les recomendaría que cuando la vieran tuviesen a mano una caja de pañuelos ya que es imposible no llorar viéndola y es una pelicula que nos hace sentir rabia por aquellos años. Cabe destacar que Spielberg se niega sacar una versión en color de este film ya que según su opinión sería "embellecer aquellos hechos" y yo no podría estar más de acuerdo.
