Hello dear moviegoing friends! I hope you are very well, today I would like to talk about one of my favorite movies "The Parent Trap" released in 1998 by Walt Disney Pictures and starring Dennis Quad, Natasha Richardson and Lindsay Lohan.
!Hola queridos amigos cinéfilos! Espero estén muy bien, hoy me gustaría hablarles de una de mis peliculas favoritas "Juego de Gemelas" lanzada en 1998 por Walt Disney Pictures y protagonizada por Dennis Quad, Natasha Richardson y Lindsay Lohan.
The story tells us about Annie James and Hallie Parker, 2 twins who were raised separately since their parents decided to separate, Annie lives with her mother in London and Hallie with her father in Napa, California. When both are sent to the same camp they meet again and although at first they did not get along and did not know that they are really twins, when both are grounded they discover that they are actually sisters when they both show the old photographs that each one kept of their parents, for what they prepare to change places in order to reunite their parents again.
La historia nos habla de Annie James y Hallie Parker, 2 gemelas que criadas por separado ya que sus padres decidieron separarse, Annie vive con su mamá en Londres y Hallie con su papá en Napa, California. Cuando ambas son enviadas al mismo campamento se reencuentran y aunque al principio no se llevaban bien y no sabían que realmente son gemelas, cuando ambas están castigadas descubren que en realidad son hermanas cuando ambas muestran las viejas fotografías que cada una guardaba de sus padres, por lo que se preparan para cambiar de lugar para así lograr reunir a sus padres nuevamente.
The story in general seems quite good to me, the work that the actors did in the development of the characters is in my opinion very good since each of the characters has an excellent development, Lindsay Lohan is one of my favorite actresses for a long time time and their work playing both twins seemed incredible to me and the special effects they used to get both twins to come out together in many scenes are incredible. I also really liked Natasha Richardson as Elizabeth James since I found her to be a loving and adorable mother (I confess that I was very saddened by the death of the actress years ago). In general, I really liked the work of the entire cast since they managed to make a very entertaining movie.
La historia en general me parece bastante buena, el trabajo que hicieron los actores en el desarrollo de los personajes es a mi parecer muy bueno ya que cada uno de los personajes tiene un excelente desarrollo, Lindsay Lohan es una de mis actrices favoritas desde hace mucho tiempo y su trabajo interpretando a ambas gemelas me pareció increíble y los efectos especiales que usaron para lograr que ambas gemelas salieran juntas en muchas escenas son increibles. También me gustó mucho Natasha Richardson como Elizabeth James ya que me pareció una mamá amorosa y adorable (confieso que me entristeció mucho el fallecimiento de la actriz años atrás). En general me gustó mucho el trabajo de todo el elenco ya que lograron hacer una película bastante entretenida.
I also liked the photography a lot and the scenarios used are quite beautiful too, my favorite part is where the twins go camping with their father and Meredith and the pranks they do to her during that part, I confess that I found them super funny already I think she deserved it hahaha, especially the one they did to her when she slept and the twins dragged her mattress into the lake and the tantrum she threw when she woke up killed me with laughter.
La fotografía también me gustó mucho y escenarios utilizados son bastante bonitos también, mi parte favorita es en dónde las gemelas se van de campamento con su padre y Meredith y las travesuras que le hacen a ella durante toda esa parte confieso que me parecieron súper graciosas ya que a mi parecer se las merecía jajaja, en especial la que le hicieron cuando ella dormía y las gemelas arrastraron su colchón al lago y el berrinche que hizo cuando despertó me mató de risa.
It should be noted that this film is a remake since the first version was released in 1961, and in turn is based on the novel "Lisa & Lottie" by the German writer Erich Kästner, although I have seen both this one seemed much better to me, the soundtrack that accompanies the film I also liked a lot and fits perfectly. Something that I also really liked about the movie is the "greeting dance" that Annie and Martin the butler do, when we were children a cousin and I practiced it a lot and we managed to learn it.
Cabe destacar que esta película es un remake ya que la primera versión fue estrenada en 1961, y a su vez está basada en la novela "Lisa & Lottie" del escritor alemán Erich Kästner, aunque he visto ambas esta me pareció mucho mejor, la banda sonora que acompaña la película también me gustó mucho y se acopla perfectamente. Algo que también me gustó mucho de la película es el "baile de saludo" que hacen Annie y Martin el mayordomo, cuando eramos niñas una prima y yo lo practicabamos mucho y logramos aprenderlo.
Even though the movie is quite old, I never get tired of watching it even though I've seen it many times, I always enjoy it a lot every time I watch it either on TV or streaming. I never get tired of watching it and I would like to recommend it to everyone, I assure you that you will not regret seeing it, for me it is one of the best movies to enjoy with the family.
A pesar de que la película tiene bastante tiempo, nunca me canso de verla a pesar de que la he visto muchas veces siempre la disfruto mucho cada vez que la miro ya sea por tv como por streaming. Nunca me canso de verla y me gustaría recomendarla a todos, les aseguro que no se arrepentirán de verla, para mi es una de las mejores películas para disfrutar en familia
