One of the fathers in movies that we haven't talked much about is Hector, from the movie Coco, who helped Miguel in the World of the Dead. Here I tell you a little more about him.

Uno de los padres en el cine de los que no hemos hablado mucho es Héctor, de la película Coco, quien ayudó a Miguel en el Mundo de los Muertos. Aquí te cuento un poco más de él.

Por otro lado, a pesar de tener pocos recuerdos de su padre, Coco lo recuerda con mucho cariño, guardando cada una de las cartas que le envío durante la gira. Así como también la única foto que, a escondidas de su madre, y del resto de su familia, conservaba. Era un músico, cuyo gran éxito fue Recuérdame (aunque fue robada por Ernesto) solo era pensado para su hija, sin ningún fin de lucrarse de ella.

I think a lot of people see Coco only as a children's movie, however, it has a lot more to tell. I love this movie because of the way it works, not only the family theme, but also death and betrayal. We see how this man who only wanted to be with his family, is betrayed by his best friend and for years he seeks to try to get his family back, he does not seek revenge because his "friend" succeeded.
Creo que mucha gente ve Coco solo como una película infantil, sin embargo, tiene muchas más cosas que contar. Esta película me encanta por la forma en la que trabaja, no solo el tema familiar, también la muerte y la traición. Vemos como este hombre que solo quería estar con su familia, es traicionado por su mejor amigo y que durante años busca intentar recuperar a su familia, no busca venganza porque su “amigo” tuvo éxito.
Although for selfish reasons he helps Miguel, in the end we realize that he just wanted his family back. He wanted to see his daughter again, even though she hated him for abandoning her, but he wanted to tell her how much he loved her and that he did not intend to leave her, he had always wanted to return to her.
Aunque por motivos egoístas ayuda a Miguel, al final nos damos cuenta que solo quería a su familia de vuelta. Quería volver a ver a su hija, aunque esta lo odiara por abandonarla, pero quería decirle cuanto la quería y que no pretendía dejarla, siempre había querido volver a ella.
