De vez en cuando voy de plataforma en plataforma a ver que se se cuece por esos lados ya que no todo puede ser Netflix en donde he estado estacando el ultimo mes y medio aproximadamente. En esta oportunidad caí en la siempre confiable Apple TV, confiable porque a pesar de no tener un gran catalogo la gran mayoría de sus series son increíbles, ellos aplican muy bien aquello de calidad sobre cantidad, algo de lo que la empresa de la N roja debería aprender. Es así entonces cuando me topé con esta historia, una que me llamó la atención rápidamente por esas dos caras que ven allí, dos grandes actores que estaba seguro que iban a entregarnos una trama decente y vertical.

From time to time I go from platform to platform to see what is cooking on those sides since not everything can be Netflix where I have been stagnating for the last month and a half approximately. This time I fell into the always reliable Apple TV, reliable because despite not having a large catalog the vast majority of their series are amazing, they apply very well that of quality over quantity, something that the company of the red N should learn from. That's how I came across this story, one that caught my attention quickly because of those two faces you see there, two great actors that I was sure were going to deliver us a decent and vertical plot.

Eva Green y Vicent Cassel son los actores en cuestión, dos bastantes conocidos y buenos en lo que hacen, que le darían vida a una "pareja" unida a través de un pasado tormentoso y que años después se volverían a unir por cuestiones que van más allá de sus vidas personales. Teniendo como base todas las series que he visto de Apple TV sin dudarlo me lancé a ver esta y la verdad es que en el primer capitulo me enganché; eso para mi es el mejor termómetro, si no hay conexión en las primeras de cambio pues seguir el camino puede que sea más engorroso. Afortunadamente no fue así y la serie, para mis gustos, terminó siendo bastante buena y decente. Así que sin más hablemos un poco de esta historia europea en donde la estabilidad de varios países están en juego.

Eva Green and Vincent Cassel are the actors in question, two very well known and good at what they do, who would give life to a "couple" united through a stormy past and that years later would be reunited by issues that go beyond their personal lives. Having as a base all the series I've seen from Apple TV without hesitation I jumped to see this one and the truth is that in the first chapter I was hooked; that for me is the best thermometer, if there is no connection in the first change then follow the path may be more cumbersome. Fortunately this was not the case and the series, for my tastes, ended up being quite good and decent. So without further ado, let's talk a bit about this European story where the stability of several countries is at stake.

Esta historia de intriga y acción comienza con Allison Rowdy (Eva Green) quien es una funcionaria de un ministerio en Londres, el encargado de la protección contra ciberataques al país. Ella lleva una vida bastante normal, vive con un abogado prominente y su hija y la verdad es que es feliz. Un buen día en pleno corazón de Londres comienzan a pasar sucesos extraños que parecen estar ligados a unos ataques llevados a cabo por hackers que atentan contra la seguridad ciudadana. Acá es cuando ella de la mano del ministro comienzan a investigar que hay detrás de todo eso hasta que se percata que un "fantasma" de su pasado puede que esté involucrado. Esta persona es Gabriel Delage (Vicent Cassel), un hombre que tiene un pasado un tanto peculiar con nuestra Allison.

This story of intrigue and action begins with Allison Rowdy (Eva Green) who is an official of a ministry in London, the one in charge of protecting the country against cyber-attacks. She leads a fairly normal life, lives with a prominent lawyer and her daughter and the truth is that she is happy. One fine day in the heart of London, strange events begin to happen that seem to be linked to attacks carried out by hackers that threaten public safety. This is when she and the minister begin to investigate what is behind all this until she realizes that a "ghost" from her past may be involved. This person is Gabriel Delage (Vicent Cassel), a man who has a somewhat peculiar past with our Allison.

La cosa es que a medida que van pasando los días estos ataques siguen ocurriendo afectando los servicios de Londres con la finalidad de hacer caer al corazón del Reino Unido. Pronto nos daremos cuenta que las implicaciones van mucho más allá en donde personas de Siria, el presidente de Francia y parte de sus allegados, la policía de Londres y hasta el propio personal de dicho ministerio están implicados. Como dije la intriga y las conspiraciones toman el control de la trama creando una historia que te invita a querer resolver quien está verdaderamente detrás de todos estos ataques. A esto hay que sumarle que lógicamente hay un espía por lo que son dos cosas de las que hay que hacerse cargo y todo mientras estos dos personajes buscan resolver lo incierto de su pasado.

The thing is that as the days go by these attacks continue to occur affecting the London services with the aim of bringing down the heart of the United Kingdom. Soon we will realize that the implications go much further where people from Syria, the president of France and part of his entourage, the London police and even the staff of that ministry are involved. As I said intrigue and conspiracies take control of the plot creating a story that invites you to want to solve who is really behind all these attacks. Add to this the fact that logically there is a spy so there are two things to take care of and all while these two characters seek to resolve the uncertainty of their past.

Creo que el fuerte de esta serie es el hecho de que a medida que van pasando los episodios como que la incertidumbre va en aumento y es que desde un principio más o menos se sabe quien está detrás de todo, la cosa está en que a ese grupo de personas le falta una pieza y es esa precisamente la que hasta el final de la historia no se descubre. Esa busqueda por encontrar al espía es lo que la hace entretenida. También porque al saber quien está detrás de todo, en más o menos medida, eso genera como una indignación por ver como es posible que no den con esta persona si puede llegar a ser tan obvio a veces. Y es que por más intereses económicos que hayan al final casi todas las decisiones terminan siendo políticas por lo que si, hay mucha de esta falsa diplomacia a la orden del día.

I think the strength of this series is the fact that as the episodes go by, the uncertainty is increasing and from the beginning it is more or less known who is behind everything, the thing is that this group of people is missing a piece and it is precisely the one that is not discovered until the end of the story. That search to find the spy is what makes it entertaining. Also because knowing who is behind everything, to a greater or lesser extent, that generates an indignation to see how it is possible that they do not find this person if it can be so obvious at times. And no matter how many economic interests there are, in the end almost all decisions end up being political, so yes, there is a lot of this false diplomacy in the order of the day.

En cuanto a que si todo esto puede ser real o no en el mundo en el que vivimos pues yo diría que si. Este aspecto lo tomo mucho en cuenta, que tanta ficción hay en estas historias y que tanta verdad puede haber y pues aquí si considero que puede ser un mal que puede llegar a afectar no se si a un país pero a una ciudad es posible. Parte de que uno se case con una historia es que esta sea convincente, a menos que sea una propia de ciencia ficción, y en este caso esta trama no será la mejor del mundo pero es una que engancha y quizás puede que sea viable. Habiendo dicho esto debo decir que no me aburrí, es verdad que hay sus escenas un tanto sosas, esas de amor y retrospección, pero en general la acción es aceptable y ahí como que se equilibra todo.

As to whether all this can be real or not in the world we live in, I would say yes. I take this aspect very much into account, how much fiction there is in these stories and how much truth there may be and here I consider that it can be an evil that can affect, I don't know if it can affect a country but a city, it is possible. Part of being married to a story is that it is convincing, unless it is a science fiction story, and in this case this plot will not be the best in the world but it is one that engages and may be viable. Having said that I must say that I was not bored, it is true that there are its somewhat bland scenes, those of love and retrospection, but in general the action is acceptable and there kind of balances everything out.

A pesar de lo lentas que pueden llegar a ser dichas escenas la química que hay entre Eva y Vincent es innegable, de hecho hacen muy buena pareja, creo que fue un acierto el hecho de que ambos fueran los protagonistas. Eva es muy sobria a la hora de actuar, es una mujer con una capacidad para interpretar de locos, hay varios estados de ánimos que ella experimenta y honestamente los borda todos a la perfección. Por otra parte Vicent es el típico actor que este tipo de personajes los lleva en la sangre, cuales? - pues estos mercenarios, agentes, personas de interés que trabajan bajo las sombras y que son llamados para resolver algo que de forma legal no se puede. La verdad es que también es un gran actor, siento que es o bueno ambos son muy elegantes al punto de que da gusto verlos en pantalla.

Despite how slow these scenes can be, the chemistry between Eva and Vincent is undeniable, in fact they make a very good couple, I think it was a good decision to cast them both as the main characters. Eva is very sober when it comes to acting, she is a woman with a crazy capacity to interpret, there are several states of mind that she experiences and honestly she embroiders them all to perfection. On the other hand Vicent is the typical actor who has this type of characters in his blood, which ones? - Well, these mercenaries, agents, people of interest who work under the shadows and are called to solve something that legally can not. The truth is that he is also a great actor, I feel that he is or well both are very elegant to the point that it is a pleasure to see them on screen.

Una serie que me senté a verla sin esperar nada a cambio y al final resultó, por lo menos para mi, entretenida, siento que no perdí mi tiempo. No es perfecta ni mucho menos pero solo por los actores, las buenas escenas de acción y el factor intriga creo que merece que por lo menos se le de una oportunidad. 7.4/10 porque también al final hay un plot twist que no me esperaba. A series that I sat down to watch without expecting anything in return and in the end it turned out, at least for me, entertaining, I feel I didn't waste my time. It's not perfect by any means but just because of the actors, the good action scenes and the intrigue factor I think it deserves to be given at least a chance. 7.4/10 because also at the end there is a plot twist that I didn't expect.
