La década de los 80's fue una época importante en el cine del terror, representó el nacimiento de grandes franquicias como halloween, un clásico difícil de olvidar aun en nuestra actualidad sigue dando de que hablar. Muchos cineastas han tomado como inspiración films de esta década, pero no debemos olvidar a los que dieron vida a estos éxitos, the changeling no es la típica trama de casa embrujada, la forma en que es contada la historia simplemente engancha.
The decade of the 80's was an important era in horror films, it represented the birth of great franchises like Halloween, a classic that is hard to forget and still continues to be talked about today. Many filmmakers have taken inspiration from films of this decade, but we must not forget those who gave life to these successes, the changeling is not the typical haunted house plot, the way the story is told is simply engaging.
REVIEW.
Al final de la escalera, cuenta la historia de un hombre (John) quien tras perder a su familia (esposa e hija) en un accidente de carretera, decidí mudarse de su actual hogar lleno de recuerdos que le hacen revivir su pena, al despedirse de sus amigos comenta que necesita un lugar que le permita practicar con el piano (el personaje principal es compositor), una de sus amigas le dice que conoce a una persona que se encarga de alquilar casas antiguas que están aptas para lo que necesita.
At the bottom of the stairs, tells the story of a man (John) who after losing his family (wife and daughter) in a road accident, decided to move from his current home full of memories that make him relive his grief, when saying goodbye to his friends he says he needs a place to practice the piano (the main character is a composer), one of his friends tells him that she knows a person who is responsible for renting old houses that are suitable for what he needs.

My opinion
He sido breve porque no quiero llenar de spoliers a aquellos que no han visto el film, considero que este clásico sin necesidad de mostrar al monstruo a los diez minutos es un gran ejemplo de como hacer un film terrorífico solo insinuando, las interpretaciones son igualmente buenas, no muestran sobreactuaciones, considerando la época los efectos están muy bien logrados, esta es la base de muchas películas que siguieron caminos similares a este, lo que más me gusta es la historia, empieza siendo típica pero luego cambia totalmente llegando a ser muy turbia.
I have been brief because I do not want to fill with spoliers to those who have not seen the film, I consider this classic without the need to show the monster at ten minutes is a great example of how to make a terrifying film just hinting, the performances are equally good, do not show overacting, considering the time the effects are very well achieved, this is the basis of many films that followed similar paths to this, what I like most is the story, it starts being typical but then changes completely becoming very murky.
