Review by @militadigital01 🏆#35 🔥3 🎵1.2k 🎬16 📺1 · 14h · of The Beatles · 3 views · in Music Zone

Today I was listening to this band, and I want to share with you one of the songs I enjoyed listening to—one that really made an impression on me because of its melody, rhythm, and lyrics. I feel like it caused quite a stir back then; it was somewhat controversial.

The song I’m sharing with you today is “Hey Jude” by The Beatles, an English rock band formed in Liverpool in 1960, consisting of John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison, and Ringo Starr. The band is considered one of the most influential in popular music of the 1960s. The song I’m sharing with you today is another one of their musical hits, which is about comforting a child who is suffering because of his parents’ divorce.

Here are some questions I have for you about this song based on the lyrics. For example: Did you grow up with separated parents? Have you ever gone through a breakup? Has anyone comforted you because of it? If that’s not your case, that’s totally fine—just keep moving forward with your life, sweetie, hehehe.

Here are the lyrics to the song “Hey Jude” by The Beatles

Hey Jude, don't make it bad. Take a sad song and make it better. Remember to let her into your heart, Then you can start to make it better.

Hey Jude, don't be afraid. You were made to go out and get her. The minute you let her under your skin, Then you begin to make it better.

And anytime you feel the pain, hey Jude, refrain, Don't carry the world upon your shoulders. For well you know that it's a fool who plays it cool By making his world a little colder.

Hey Jude, don't let me down. You have found her, now go and get her. Remember to let her into your heart, Then you can start to make it better.

So let it out and let it in, hey Jude, begin, You're waiting for someone to perform with. And don't you know that it's just you, hey Jude, you'll do, The movement you need is on your shoulder.

Hey Jude, don't make it bad. Take a sad song and make it better. Remember to let her under your skin, Then you'll begin to make it Better better better better better better, oh.

Na na na nananana, nannana, hey Jude... (repeat X number of times, fade)

Oye, Jude, no tengas miedo.

Oye, Jude, no me falles.

(repetir X veces, fundido)

I like to look into interesting facts about songs and, of course, who wrote them. In this case, it was written by Paul McCartney, although it’s officially credited to the Lennon-McCartney songwriting duo. It was released in August 1968. The story behind this song was to comfort Julian Lennon, John Lennon’s five-year-old son, during his parents’ difficult divorce and the family’s separation. He changed the name from “Jules” to “Jude” because he felt it sounded better and would be easier to sing.

Now we come to my favorite part—why this song makes my list of favorites and why it really stands out to me. I love the line that says, “Remember to let it in your heart, then you can start to make it better,” implying that he shouldn’t hate anyone for this decision, but rather understand and grow from it. “Every time you feel the pain, listen, Jude, hold back”—a way of telling him to avoid feeling pain. “Don’t carry the world on your shoulders”—a beautiful line that I loved and repeat to myself in my own life. We shouldn’t always carry everything on our shoulders. Even though it’s a song born of sadness, it has beautiful lines that make you reflect on life—not just the situation mentioned in the song, but others as well. Now I’m wondering: have you heard this song before? I’d love to read your thoughts on it in the comments. Cheers!!!

Actually, I had heard of them before, since my older siblings loved this band. You're absolutely right when you say we shouldn't carry the weight of the world on our shoulders.

This song is beautiful, and the story behind its origin is painful yet comforting at the same time.

What a lovely review, my friend. It is good to know that songs born of sadness can help soothe the heart's sorrows; I also believe that anything good we let into our hearts is a positive thing. A truly beautiful song and a really lovely review, full of insightful details. Best regards. !LADY
