Hola querida comunidad de Movies & TV, estuve entre ver y no ver la película de la cual les vengo hablar porque me hice demasiados spoilers ya que está muy famosa en este momento y sabía que si era de romance y drama probablemente iba a terminar con sentimientos encontrados y con un vacío por un tiempo. Pero decidí verla después de ver pequeñas partes de la historia y me llamaba la atención por qué tuvo el final que nos mostraron.
La chica del siglo 20 en español o 20th Century Girl es una película coreana del 2022 de género romance y drama, transmitida en Netflix y muy vista este año, logrando un gran éxito tanto por su historia como por las grandes actuaciones de sus protagonistas.
Ambientada en el año 1999, nos cuenta la historia de Na Bo-ra (Kim Yoo-jung) una chica de diecisiete años con gran personalidad y con un buen corazón. Ella está en la secundaria y tiene a su mejor amiga de la infancia Yeon-du (Roh Yoon-seo) cuya amistad tiene muchos años y ambas son muy leales la una a la otra.
Debido a problemas de salud, Yeon-du tiene que realizarse una operación del corazón o su vida puede estar en peligro, para esto ella debe viajar a los Estados Unidos donde será operada. Pero antes de irse de Corea del Sur ella le confiesa a Na Bo-ra que está perdidamente enamorada de un chico de la secundaria y que se siente triste de tener que irse.
Na Bo-ra le hace una promesa a su mejor amiga, que mientras ella se recupera va averiguar todo acerca del chico que le gusta, llamado Baek Hyun-jin (Park Jung-woo).
Mientras Yeon-du está en Estados Unidos, Na Bo-ra decide perseguir al chico del cual está enamorada su mejor amiga y averiguar todo acerca de el e informarle cada detalle de su vida a Yeon-du vía correo electrónico.

Finalmente al pasar los años, en una exhibición al cuál fue invitada ve a Woon-ho e imágenes de ellos cuando eran adolescentes. Por último Woon-ho le dice en el vídeo que lo espere y que quiere ver a la Na Bo-ra del siglo 21. Esta escena es demasiado conmovedora. Luego de enterarse de lo que pasó con Woon-ho, finalmente ella puede dejar ese capítulo de su vida atrás y recordarlo sin rencor sino más bien con mucho cariño por lo que vivieron juntos.
La película tiene una duración de dos horas pero se pasa volando porque no hay escenas de relleno y todo esta tan perfectamente hecho en la película que es muy agradable de ver. Las actuaciones de los actores principales es simplemente espectacular, te hacen sentir exactamente como si fueras parte de la historia de amor adolescente en esa época de los 90s.
La escenografía y el ambiente quedó muy parecido a como se vería una historia de 1999, con tonos en las imágenes que lo hacen ver antigüo y muy personal y cálido en cuanto al romance. Al igual que la vestimenta y la moda de la época.
Esta historia es muy conmovedora, porque hay dos personas que se aman pero por circunstancias de la vida no terminan juntos. Las escenas son muy hermosas y tanto como el personaje de Woon-ho, que es un chico risueño y muy lindo cómo el personaje de Na Bo-ra, una chica que nunca pensó en el amor como algo demasiado importante, termina enamorándose de cada detalle y momento vivido con Woon-ho, el cual se encargó de que fuera muy especial para ambos y poderlo recordar en el futuro.
Si, el final es triste, no llore pero me dolió demasiado, sobre todo porque quedas como sin respuestas, esperando saber el por qué todo termino de esa manera. Pero nos deja esa historia de amor que será recordada por siempre.

La chica del siglo 20 en español or 20th Century Girl is a 2022 Korean film of romance and drama genre, streamed on Netflix and widely watched this year, achieving great success both for its story and for the great performances of its protagonists.
Set in the year 1999, it tells us the story of Na Bo-ra (Kim Yoo-jung) a seventeen-year-old girl with a big personality and a good heart. She is in high school and has her childhood best friend Yeon-du (Roh Yoon-seo) whose friendship is many years old and both are very loyal to each other.
Due to health problems, Yeon-du has to undergo a heart operation or her life may be in danger, for which she must travel to the United States where she will be operated on. But before leaving South Korea, she confesses to Na Bo-ra that she is madly in love with a high school boy and feels sad that she has to leave.

Finally as the years go by, at an exhibition to which she was invited she sees Woon-ho and images of them when they were teenagers. Finally Woon-ho tells her in the video to wait for him and that he wants to see the Na Bo-ra of the 21st century. This scene is too touching. After learning what happened with Woon-ho, she can finally put that chapter of her life behind her and remember him without rancor but rather with much fondness for what they experienced together.
The movie is two hours long but it flies by because there are no filler scenes and everything is so perfectly done in the movie that it is very enjoyable to watch. The performances of the main actors are simply spectacular, they make you feel exactly as if you were part of the teenage love story in the 90s.
The set design and ambiance is very similar to what a 1999 story would look like, with tones in the images that make it look antique and very personal and warm in terms of romance. As well as the clothing and fashion of the time.
This story is very touching, because there are two people who love each other but due to life circumstances do not end up together. The scenes are very beautiful and as much as Woon-ho's character, who is a laughing and cute guy as Na Bo-ra's character, a girl who never thought of love as something too important, ends up falling in love with every detail and moment lived with Woon-ho, who made sure it was very special for both of them to remember it in the future.
Yes, the ending is sad, I didn't cry but it hurt me too much, especially because you are left with no answers, waiting to know why everything ended that way. But it leaves us with a love story that will be remembered forever.
