Hola querida comunidad de Movies & TV, hace algunos años encontré esta película coreana llamada The Housemaid y me llamo la atención la trama y cuando ví el tráiler decidí verla. No es tan común hablar sobre infidelidades o relaciones prohibidas llegando a tocar el punto erótico en las películas coreanas o al menos yo no he visto que hagan historias del estilo de The Housemaid.
The Housemaid es una película surcoreana de 2010 dirigida y escrita por Im Sang-soo y producida por Jason Chae. La historia se centra en Eun-yi, interpretada por Jeon Do-yeon, una joven que se ve envuelta en un destructivo triángulo amoroso mientras trabaja como criada de una familia de clase alta. Otros miembros del reparto incluyen a Lee Jung-jae, Seo Woo y Youn Yuh-jung. The Housemaid es una adaptación de la película del mismo nombre de Kim Ki-young de 1960.

Es ahí cuando las cosas se comienzan a poner serías, Hoon se le va insinuando poco a poco a Eun-yi, si, la sirvienta. Sin importarle que su esposa se encuentra en embarazo y sin ningún tipo de remordimiento.
Eun-yi trata de resistirse a los encantos de este hombre que es todo lo opuesto a ella, y a pesar de que sabe que está mal intentar tener una relación con el, al final cae en sus redes.

Cada escena te tiene en suspenso todo el rato y también hay varias escenas dónde representan la lujuria de lo prohibido; sobre todo porque las personas que se encuentran en la casa empiezan a sospechar y Eun-yi toma una decisión que tal vez fue más por tomar venganza ante el rechazo de Hoon, y es que decide quedarse en la casa y vengarse por el gran dolor que le causaron, a pesar de cada vez su embarazo se va haciendo más notorio.
La maldad se hace presente en esta película de una manera explícita, donde buscan a toda costa que Eun-yi no tenga a ese bebé. Pero ella está decidida a llegar hasta las últimas consecuencias para destruir a Hoon por haberla usado a su antojo.
Contiene escenas de sangre, sexuales y muerte, pero vaya que me sorprendió el final. Pero que se podía esperar de estas personas llenas de poder, dinero y que no les importa nada, solo ellos mismos. Fue fuerte, ver cómo al final ellos continuaron su vida a pesar de las mentiras, infidelidad y abuso hacia una persona más inocente.
Está película es una clara demostración de que la posición social puede llegar a abusar de su poder y cometer crímenes y destruir la vida de las personas sin dejarles ningún tipo de remordimiento, no existe la humanidad para personas así. Realmente solo les interesa que los demás los vean como una persona perfecta, que lo tiene todo.

Eun-yi tries to resist the charms of this man who is the complete opposite of her, and even though she knows it's wrong to try to have a relationship with him, she eventually falls for him.
They spend nights of passion, where Hoon looks for her in the small room for employees, and there they unleash their romance and lust without anyone knowing what is happening between them.
But there are eyes peering through walls and soon enough the secret of this forbidden romance will bring consequences, fatal consequences for Eun-yi who has to deal with seeing Hoon's wife's face and even bathing her at her own request.
One of the consequences of the nights of pleasure is that Eun-yi realizes that she's not getting her period, and that she's expecting Hoon's baby.
Hiding it starts to become too difficult for her, coming to find her mental health in trouble. The stress, the fear, the uncertainty, the not knowing what to do now that she is expecting a child by a married man keeps her on her toes. Having to watch Hoon reject her increases a feeling of anger and resentment towards him.
This type of situation is often seen, how a woman starts a relationship with someone who already has a commitment and in this case who has enough power so that she does not keep the baby and thus not see her reputation tarnished.
Each scene keeps you in suspense all the time and there are also several scenes where they represent the lust of the forbidden; especially because the people who are in the house begin to suspect and Eun-yi makes a decision that perhaps was more to take revenge against Hoon's rejection, and decides to stay in the house and take revenge for the great pain they caused her, despite each time her pregnancy is becoming more noticeable.
Evil is present in this film in an explicit way, where they try at all costs to prevent Eun-yi from having the baby. But she is determined to go to the ultimate consequences to destroy Hoon for using her as he pleases.
It contains scenes of blood, sex and death, but boy was I surprised by the ending. But what could you expect from these people full of power, money and who don't care about anything, only themselves. It was strong, to see how in the end they continued their lives despite the lies, infidelity and abuse towards a more innocent person.
This movie is a clear demonstration that social position can abuse its power and commit crimes and destroy people's lives without leaving them any remorse, there is no humanity for people like this. They are really only interested in being seen by others as a perfect person, who has everything.
