Imposible tomar en serio las tramas puesto que se estructuran a través de un cúmulo de situaciones alocadas que desvían la atención de la historia central. Las escenas emotivas lucen ridículas, desarticulan el hilo narrativo, aun cuando nos presentan pasajes dolorosos o traumáticos de algunos personajes, mismos que carecen de profundidad en sus caracterizaciones. A pesar de que varios poseen metapoderes, resultan insignificantes porque se muestran como elementos innecesarios que más bien aproximan al filme hacia lo dantesco.
It is impossible to take the plots seriously since they are structured through a series of crazy situations that divert attention from the central story. Emotional scenes look ridiculous, they disarticulate the narrative thread, even when they present us with painful or traumatic passages of some characters, which lack depth in their characterizations. Despite the fact that several have metapowers, they are insignificant because they look like unnecessary elements that rather bring the film closer to the Dantesque.
En esta ocasión, Bloodsport es representado por Idris Elba, quien encarna muy bien su papel, anteriormente vimos a Will Smith personificando a Deadshot, por lo tanto, se asume que se reemplaza al segundo por el primero, manteniendo la condición de líder de equipo. La elección del apremio emocional para convencer a Bloodsport de unirse a esta aventura no luce muy convincente.
On this occasion, Bloodsport is represented by Idris Elba, who embodies his role very well, previously we saw Will Smith impersonating Deadshot, therefore, it is assumed that the second is replaced by the first, maintaining the status of team leader. The choice of emotional pressure to convince Bloodsport to join this adventure does not look very convincing.
La selección de los antagonistas es muy desafortunada. El villano más notable, Starro, una estrella de mar gigante, de procedencia alienígena, dista mucho de ser atemorizante, me recuerda al torpe Patricio de la caricatura Bob Esponja. Se nota que los creativos de DC intentaron darle un toque de comicidad al clímax de la película con esta propuesta, pero resulta trivial, más bien digna de cualquier episodio de los Power Rangers. Desatinado exhibir tintes infantiles en un filme que se supone debe adoptar elementos de los cómics de DC, ni hablar del “video clip” de Harley Quinn asesinando a sus captores mientras en pantalla se exhiben psicodélicas flores.
Se debe resaltar la actuación de Margot Robbie, sus locuras la muestran apartada de toda realidad, tal como se esperaba. Sin embargo, la encuentro fuera de lugar aquí, sobre todo, cuando la presentan con las habilidades de combate dignas de una Viuda Negra, capaz de acabar con una tropa de soldados con un mínimo esfuerzo. Las canciones escogidas enfatizan cada escena en la exageración de lo estrafalario. Además, a lo largo de la historia se ofrecen diversos flashbacks para justificar acciones que se ejecutan en tiempo presente, un caos en lo que respecta al tiempo de la historia.
The director James Gunn intends to insert a humor very similar to that of Guardians of the Galaxy, however, the irony and the multiple scenes of violence lean towards parody, which does not happen in the other film. The sarcasm here seems like an imitation of the one expressed in Deadpool but distributed throughout the cast, however, it does not achieve the consistency of that one.
The selection of the antagonists is very unfortunate. The main villain, Starro, a giant starfish, of alien origin, is far from scary, reminds me of the clumsy Patrick from the cartoon SpongeBob. You can see that the creatives of DC tried to give a touch of comedy to the climax of the film with this proposal, but it is trivial, rather worthy of any episode of Power Rangers. Absurd to exhibit childish overtones in a film that is supposed to adopt elements from DC comics, not to mention the “video clip” of Harley Quinn murdering her captors while psychedelic flowers are displayed on the screen.
Margot Robbie's performance should be highlighted, her follies show her removed from all reality, as expected. However, I find her out of place here, especially when presented with the combat skills worthy of a Black Widow, capable of taking down a troop of soldiers with minimal effort. The chosen songs emphasize each scene in exaggeration of the absurd. In addition, throughout the story various flashbacks are offered to justify actions that are executed in the present tense, a chaos as far as the time of the story is concerned.
Ya sabemos que existen consumidores de este tipo de filmes, pero en lo personal no me gustó.
El Escuadrón Suicida 2 luce como un facsímil incongruente de Los Vengadores. Acá Nanaue es un remedo de Hulk, cuya gracia se va perdiendo mientras transcurre el filme, en tanto el capitán Rick Flag, personificado por Joel Kinnaman, quedó para hacer de simple comparsa. El personaje de Peacemaker está desarticulado desde cualquier perspectiva, tal vez porque John Cena otra vez vuelve a hacer el papel de John Cena. Lo de Blackguard, interpretado por Peter Davidson, y sus reiterativos traumas con su madre también bordea lo ridículo. Se salva algo la actuación de Daniela Melchior como Ratcatcher 2, pero lo de las ratas salvando el día es un recurso muy manoseado en el cine, ni hablar de los zombies con una estrella de mar en sus caras, o la comadreja mutante que “revivió” buscando la risa fácil cuando el desastre había llegado a su fin. Con esta película, DC confirma que permanece cada vez más lejos de Marvel en lo que se refiere a trasladar el universo de los cómics al cine.
