Sadly Shogun (2024) is coming to and end, today was episode 9 that brings more context to the story specially how things were between Mariko and Lady Ochiba when they were little growing up together and how things currently are, they know each other very well, I think part of the hate from Lady Ochiba to Toronaga has to do with Mariko moving away, if her father didn't plan to kill Lady Ochiba father Mariko would not be in danger and would not be force to marry Buntaro ending with her and Lady Ochiba separate, she believes the master mind behind all this was Toronaga, so there is part of the hate she feels for him.

Mariko was send to Osaka not to translate for John but to force Ishido hand to let all the other powerful family members out of the castle, some though they were Lady Oshiba prisoners other thought it was Ishido holding them. Until some point her plan work out but towards the end Ishido took a decision that in the end will make him look bad, the Osaka castle infiltrate by assassins that Lord Ishido knew nothing about? plain stupid.

During the entire series women like Mariko and Fuji has been asking to let them die but they were constantly interrupted and given orders by their lord Toronaga that denied this desire but for both of them specially for Mariko it goes way further than just dying because after her entire family was wipe out and she marry Buntaro, Mariko attempt several times to die but never had the courage to take her life with a knife to her heart, every attempt end up in failure and then she stop when Father Martin offer her comfort in his religion, making her temporally forget about death, there were two reasons she wanted to die those were honor her family and get away from Buntaro a men she never ask to marry and on top denied her wish.

Mariko, John and Yabushige arrive to Osaka each with a different agenda, but the only men in town who knew it was not over for Toronaga was Father Dell'Aqua when on the other hand Father Martin did believe it was finally over.

Potentially the only one who had a clear picture of what was going on in Osaka was Mariko, she knew everyone who gets in the castle becomes Ishido prisoner and its the first time during the series that Mariko pull ranks on someone.

As the coward that Yabushige is he came to Osaka to bargain with Ishido for his life, he came to offer John as allies, have him work for Ishido as Captain along with the artillery only him knew to perfectly operate but this request or "gift" gets rejected by Ishido since both were useless for him, Toronaga was wrong about Yabushige he thought he and John would join forces to attack Osaka but it was never the case. In the case of John he came to attack Osaka at some point but once he was inside the castle understood this was nearly impossible and now his faith was on Yabushige hands, I really thought he was done at playing double agent but once again Yabushige tries to betrayed Toronaga, I really hope this guy gets capture or killed on next episode, such a bitch.

It was time for Mariko to deliver a message to Ishido and its here where for the first time it was reveal that Lady Oshiba still has a lot of affection for Mariko, she talks about their relationship while they were little, how they grew up together.

Mariko message for Ishido was simple, she would take Toronaga family members and get out of Osaka, Ishido immediately denied her request but also tells her no one is held against their will, he was rude to her by interrupting her while she was still talking so Mariko pull ranks and called for their family lineage, she comes from a very respected family and was the last one of her name, something that she has been ashamed of but seems others are not, it was kind of confusing and contradictory, she challenges Ishido orders to stay and told him she would not be held hostage and will departure next day.

Once again Toronaga playing mind games, he knows that if Ishido held Mariko against their will or even kills her then other powerful families will raise against him but if he allow her to go then other family members will do the same, Ishido excuse for keeping everyone on the castle was the Concil reunion to take actions against Toronaga and that it was for everyone safety since their enemy Toronaga, was still out there loose and dangerous.

Lady Oshiba request John presence for the heir and Mariko to translate but the truth is that she wanted to get Mariko to stop, after Mariko was denied and force to stay in the castle she threatens to take her life in form of protest, any way she would win and become a martyr making Ishido look as a tyrant.

All four Regent had a meeting to discuss what to do with Mariko as other powerful family members met too to greet Mariko before she goes on with the ceremony to take her life. Lady Oshiba seem to be the only one that Mariko would win at the end, Mariko is let to go away then the others ask to go away too or Mariko gets killed then the other family would look bad at Ishido, there was basically no wining scenario for Ishido so he took probably the most desperate solution to send a bunch of assassins helped by Yabushige to infiltrate the place where Mariko and John were staying and had her murder.

This series has been quite the journey, every episode has been hit after hit from day one, for a very long time I have not seen a TV series getting score of 9/10 across the board but yet we are still to have that final battle that I'm looking forward. Today I made a thread about how much I like episode 9 and how much I would hate for this entire situation been solved by politics and not war, after all its a TV series its no educative content, I want a big bloody samurai battle, want to see John fire his ship canons against Osaka castle, this entire situation gets me the feeling that I will not be fully satisfied once episode 10 is over if it doesn't happen this way. Until now Shogun (2024) has been an amazing TV Series in every aspect we can think about.

After going through the trailer, cast and the few reviews online which seem to be very low mostly due to people complaining about the ethnic around the story so I would not put much attention into the current reviews although what is certain is that this movie most likely has nothing that we have not seen under the sun.

Milla Jovovich the infamous Leeloo from The Fifth Element comes back in another post apocalyptic movies, the women did 6 Resident Evil movies and not one got an online score of 8, from her IMDB profile I could only found one movie where she act and was the main character the rest are mostly in the mid lower range to be honest not sure why, there were some of the Resident Evil that I did like, point been is that this women has the word apocalypse on her resume and for some of us we are use to watch her on this type of movies.

Breathe a Sci-Fi movie, directed by Stefon Bristol. The story starts with Maya and her daughter Zora who struggle to survive in a world that is running out of oxygen but her husband has been working on an oxygen generator problem is that he has been missing for some time and the news got out of this generator, comes in Tess played by Resident Evil girl Milla Jovovich who says she can get the generator to work but Maya refuse to let them in, Tess is decided to get in one way or another because she wont let her friends die.

Stefon Bristol: New Visionary Director

Breathe director Stefon Bristol for now is not a well known director but mostly because he doesn't have too many production under his belt, American born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, his debut was the short film See You Yesterday which in fact was a thesis project that latter on kept expanding into a feature film that got a lot of positive feedback but as usual not the best ratings online in websites like IMDB, the internet is hard to break, the plot was two prodigies teenagers who build a Time Machine to safe one of their brother from been killed by a police officer in Brooklyn, the short film made it to Netflix on 2019. From what I could find on his IMDB profile he work as part of the crew for BlacKkKlansman (2018) directed by Spike Lee one of the influential figures on Stefon short career so far.

Breathe cast has a few well known faces and I think taking this project for him might be one of those movies that start to set the foundation of a career until one of this low / mid budget movies with a few well known faces on the cast generate enough buzz that catapults a director into bigger projects.

The Environmental Message

Breathe touches on many environmental aspects from air pollution that leads into other matters since are and water mean life, you cant have things like vegetation, clear skies or most things in nature without air / oxygen, humans are force to live underground due to oxygen scarcity only making short trips to the surface to scavenge supplies touching on the survival instinct of humans and the lengths people will go to protect their love ones even if this means hurt, kill or let others die, this is no new concept for the type of post apocalypse world theme. We still live in times where air is free because there is enough and the planet can still keep producing it but water is a total ball park, after around the times of the Pandemic there have been drastic climatic changes around the world that has cause the lack of rain making water scarce on places where there was enough before, its almost a guarantee that if we keep depleting the planet both oxygen and water will become a more valuable asset than any currency or precious metal in the world.

From the images on the trailer the place does look like a harsh wasteland, everything is so orange giving the feeling that the place is full of dust and some how the sun light has been dramatically affected by the sky probably heavily polluted, this kind of environment I personally find it annoying and in the past I have seen it been use in many movies that want to present just that to the viewers, a very harsh surrounding to live in, the movie at least by the name and the implementation of face mask to "Breathe" does a good job at tricking your mind to think on how hard must be or close to impossible breathe any oxygen under this conditions.

Cast running out of oxygen.

• Jennifer Hudson a Oscar winning for her performance in the movie Dreamgirls (2006) for best supporting actress although this movie did not receive any high online ratings from the audience, she is an actress and singer plays the role of Maya, she has been known for several productions like Dreamgirls, Sex and The City also shown her talent as a singer in other movies such as Sing and Cats, another well known face not stranger at all.
• Milla Jovovich plays Tess, she is Miss. Apocalyptic from the well known movies Resident Evil, particularly Resident Evil: Extinction has a similar harsh surrounding as shown in Breath. Milla is probably the most famous from the movie The Fifth Element a great hit from the 90s with Bruce Willis, she brings in the experience of performing on this type of similar movies where the world is about to end.
• The actor Common plays as Darius, Maya's husband who has gone missing and left them with an oxygen generator but not knowing how to operate it, I personally remember him from the great recent TV Series Silo (2023) but he has also appear on some other of my favorite movies like John Wick: Chapter 2 and an early 2000's movie probably peak performance for Angelina Jolie, Wanted (2008), Common had a secondary role in it.

Same as I try to bring all kind of great movies to my blog I also try to bring those that are not so popular that might be a good watch, Breathe (2024) is one of those that "might" be a good watch at least a one time watch movie, from the trailer there are some cool scenes, lot of shooting there is even a flame thrower spiting lot of fire scene, Milla does know how to play the survivor role, there is one night scene and their mask look very cool with LED on inside and I think the mask has a system to notify you running out of oxygen, they can only run small oxygen tanks to move around. Besides the script there is the CGI that concern me because the entire world is a wasteland so there are several shots of bridges and buildings all destroy and this is the constant theme around so I hope CGI is on point, at the end of the day I will give it a try and flip the coin hoping that at least I can finish the movie.

Parish has not been the most exciting TV series out there and my expectations were higher than I though and that's on me but it still at a level where you can watch an episode and kill some time without feeling you wasted your time, Giancarlo Eposito has not turn out the action men that I thought he would be and that's on me too because most of the time he plays roles as business man or gangster not a wheel man. What keeps the series interesting so far are his friend fuck ups, Colin; has the ability to get in trouble one after another and its usually with the wrong people and so far I'm not too sure why he end up working with the Tongai.

Episode 3 is the continuation of the shooting scene at the cemetery, Shepherd "The Horse" got shot and Parish once again safe his ass, is like he is always there on the right time to safe his life or business some how and Parish takes him to the most obvious place he would, with sister Anne who is a good friend of him and even work together in the past but different than Parish she is way pass that life style, she prefer to be free of problems and been able to sleep at night with both eyes close.

I have to be brutally hones, the shooting scene at the cemetery was ok until they shot Shepherd, he falls a few meters latter and they had him right there ready to be executed and some how they get spooked by the NOPD shopper, they were just meters away and could have pull the trigger and hurt him badly but instead decided to run away scared of been arrested, if you laying in the ground like that and some one is trying to kill you from that distance they would at least pull the trigger several times to hurt you.

While everyone was waiting for Parish at home, they had an appointment to show the house they trying to sell; Parish was busy trying to keep Shepherd alive, ironically Zenzo is Shepherd head of security and until now I don't know if he let him go on purpose alone with Parish his driver or he was just so naive, they looking of them but they all three took Perry words very light when he said some one was going to get mad af for what they trying to accomplish and control the market, on the suspicion that something happen to Shepherd, both Zenzo and Shamiso start looking for him.

Shepherd is afraid that their phones are been monitored or they looking for him at the local hospital so he want nothing to do with cell phones or hospital at the moment, Parish decided to take him with Sister Anne who he knows wont say no to him on top they have Luke with them too so that's leverage for him. Anne in fact takes them in and get things clear form both Parish and Shepherd, she wants nothing to do with them but as in any other similar story she some how from now on might be involve or probably even snitch on Parish and I would not blame her, she knows who Sheperd is or at least that's what she says, not sure if she only assume who he is.

When all the shooting start to happen there were no names and I had no clue who was after Shepherd until now, what looks to be a group of army guy probably mercenaries lead by Anton played by Bradley Whitford who I have seen play the villain role and he is kind of a cool villain, puts up this crazy face like he is insane and don't give a shit all the time, people are often afraid like the guy is a psychotic, Anton is probably the guy who was supplying Perry with slaves, essentially he wants Shepherd dead for messing with his business.

In terms of context or plot, Parish does not really brings anything new to the table so most of the scenes are very predictable except when it gets to his family, that side of the story kicks in leaving many questions when the hustling and gangster side does not, as an obvious response to the current situation Shamiso, Shepherd sister; goes to Perry for some answers but the guy is just another pawn.

Its here where things get interested for the Parish story, its the mystery of how really his son died and how he is going to explain the world of shit he is in to his wife and daughter before its too late and they end up stuck like him, usually when a character gets this kind of problems things just get worst and worst, this time in the even that no body can locate Parish for the last 12 hours his wife goes to the Taxi Garage to find out he has not been there neither and find a file with tons of data about their son who seem to be dead after some car hijack, leaving the question of why this happen? was this because of Parish past life? I thought it was just a car accident but from the paper it is more than that. Parish wife Rose has now notify the police about his disappearance and will start looking for him, same guys who were questioning him the other day about Colin so the probability they had something on Colin and him has grown exponentially.

Most of the episode happens at the church with Sister Anne and after that there was not much but details like Parish been missing, not been able to show the house, no body has seen him create a series of events that make his family discover what he is in at the moment, I doubt Anne is going to snitch on him unless she has no other option in any case would be if her life is at risk and not last there is Anton who I would like more background and proper introduction of what he does for a living, at first when he shows up he is driving a crane and then he is all dress up, he is the type of Italian gangster who owns a scrap yard?

Boy Kills World is a wild movie filled with dark humor, frenetic action, martial arts, and violence. Similar to other revenge movies tells the story of Boy, right from this point you can tell how humorous and not much sense at times it will make, a young deaf mute who must confront the evil Van Der Koy family that has the entire population under their control. Boy lived through a tragic childhood since the Van Der Koys killed his family, leaving him deaf, growing up to build character he takes some of the voices he remember as a kid as his inner voice since through time I would guess he forgot the sound of them. From the day his life completely change and lost his family he came up with a master plan, a three step plan: step one was to find an inner voice, choosing the last one he remembered from a video game; step two was to become strong, stronger like insane strong; and step three was to join a team because he figure out one person can't take down the Van Der Koys, his only mission is to make them pay for what they did to him an many others on their way.

Movies loaded with action scene sequences has become a trend, the most recent one was Monkey Man with a similar story of a young boy who fights an entity that hurt his family or people some how, Boy Kills World doesn't seem to be any different but what caught my attention the most was its humor, they run a kinda purge but its a TV show, this gives me even Hunger Games Vibes, the trailer was very colorful and many will relate to the movie due to similarities to certain fight games comes to mind Street Fighter, the training that Boy goes through Kickboxer (1989), over all I think this will be another hit for 2024 and its great amount of content.

Director Moritz Mohr: A New Voice in Cinema

Boy Kills World director is Moritz Mohr, born in 1981 in Frankfurt am Main, Hesse, Germany, a new director to the big screen from what I could found which was not much based on his IMDB profile and productions that he has work in the past, none of them that I can recall although in the past he has been known for working with short films, some of this projects like Akumi (2005) and also has experience on the smaller screen TV, directed the TV Series Viva Berlin (2011) that has a rating of 7.5 on IMDB so there must be something that Moritz Moh does very well and that's directing. I wonder who is his inspiration as a director because the same way as the scenes has similarities to other movies I mention on the introduction there must influence from other directors for me the king of commercial gore movies Quentin Tarantino, speaking of the dark humor on Boy Kills World reminds me of Grindhouse (2007), on a similar way from the trailer I can tell how they directly make fun of people they kill by accident, this movie I would not recommend for teenagers.

The Film: A Stylish Blend of Action and Realism

Boy Kills World already has great comments from critics and audience online waiting for its debut on Theaters, if I try to explain its style I would have to mention it pays homage to old Westerns, kung fu movies, and 16-bit video games, now days a very unique blend of genres but its the story that worries me a bit since on the trailer itself the story how he lost his family is not so much clear and that's fine its just a trailer but the movie has to make sense and be simple at the same time, I hope it doesn't become confusing for the audience from its root to how he achieve his master plan.

This movie directly touches themes of loss, survival, and the harsh realities of adulthood, this last part I mention because we will see Boy as a kid going through different faces until the point he becomes an adult and gather a team that will help him so the question is how a kid that was raise and train in the country side deal with adult problems and behave like one? well I think we wont side such side of him because mostly everything will end up in jokes, that's the impression I get from the trailer.

Challenges and Controversies

I get the sensation that this movie will slide into a younger audience that might not be prepare for all the violence and even confusion that a story like this might present them as a young age, this has been brought in the past by critics of how cruel and raw the fight scenes can be at times along with its dark humor, the movie also brings in the image of an unjust society causing even more confusion to the young ones who might even believe this is or could be possible.

The movie did have some step back during the cast, there were several changes before it could become a reality but nothing mayor that could become a big step back, this kind of movies with such unique blend of genres requires certain unique actors who are not your traditional action man who is already impregnated on the audience mind from any other successful movie he has been before and deviate the impression the movie wants to put on the audience mind.

Known and Balanced Cast

• Bill Skarsgard leads the group as Boy, known for his role of Pennywise the Dancing Clown in the It movies, which probably skyrocket him to international fame, he also makes his appearance in John Wick: Chapter 4 as the villain Marquis so he did probably got a few stunts and moves out of John Wick.
• Jessica Rothe takes on the role of June 27, known from the successful Happy Death Day film series, as well as La La Land and All My Life.
• Michelle Dockery plays the character of Melanie Van Der Koy, recognized for her role as Lady Mary Crawley in the famous period drama Downton Abbey and The Gentlemen (2019).
• Famke Janssen commands the screen as Hilda Van Der Koy, known for her role in the X-Men franchise as the very famous Jean Grey.
• Sharlto Copley, known for his performances in movies like District 9 and Elysium, plays Glen Van Der Koy, he also was involve in the very recent action movie Monkey Man.
• Brett Gelman, recognized for his role in Stranger Things, a very well known face to the character of Gideon Van Der Koy.
• Isaiah Mustafa joins the cast as Benny, drawing from his experience in the television series Shadowhunters but he has also been on other famous movies from a variety of genres like It Chapter Two, Horrible Bosses and Black-ish.
• Andrew Koji completes the cast as Basho, known for his role in the television series Warrior and his martial arts skills.

I believe movies like Boy Kills World are needed while the audience escape from the figure of John Wick from the action genre, for some time it was dominated by this character and it was the benchmark for any other upcoming action movie but with the mix of different stories and other actors who in the past has not play the role of a hero who only knows how to kick ass and blow peoples chest with a shotgun over time the dominance of John Wick will start to faint giving space for new and better action movies to create a similar impact on the audience. I find Boy Kills World a movie with a lot of potential but my only worry is that this movie seems a mix of too many others or too many concepts in a single one, for it to be successful will have to make seance and be simple enough so the audience doesn't get lost, action movies do not require over complicated drama, but other than that I like very much what I have seen on the trailer.

The story follows Cliff, a salesman who sales defibrillators from the back of his Oldsmobile. Is a man that is trying to do things in the straight way, trying to be the support and provider of his family. Unfortunately things are not going well for Cliff, running out of money and his wife remember him that they need money to pay the bills he is getting anxious. The day came when he is fired, sick and tired of his situation he decided to go with an old friend, a man that he hasn’t seen for about a year, Cliff tried to avoid that person because belong to his dark past but now seems that he is the only person that can help him get out of his misery. Ricky his old partner in crime doesn’t look surprise of see him again. Ricky is a drug and gun dealer, who sales his products to nasty people and a person with no moral at all. The team is back again and Cliff explain the plan, a big reckless plan to double cross a drug dealer. Cliff and Ricky reunite with John, the drug dealer, who was really surprise with Cliff aspect, a normal and calm guy, and its was perfect for the job because he was an unexpected mule, even though John stated put the cards on the table and leaved a cleared statement, they have a deal and if something get wrong, everything that he is connect with will die. The salesman, the way that Josh called him was warned. Things after that weren’t getting better, Cliff and Ricky were in a shooting and Cliff presence how easily Ricky put a bullet in the head of two people making him think that he only needs and want to be next to him the necessary time no more than that, do the job and once again take each one is path. Since this moment we are going to witness who Cliff is going to survive to this job and how can return his life to a peaceful point.

The Director behind the Camera

The director of Blood for Dust is Rod Blackhurst. He is an American director, producer and screenwriter. The director is best known as the Emmy and Critics Choice nominated director for the original Documentary Amanda Knox and for the 2016 Tribeca Film Festival Audience Award winning Narrative Film for Here Alone. He has directed a number of award winning short films including SXSW Official selection Would You, Short of the Week Mommy, Alone Time and Hysteric. He also directed and showman the documentary John Wayne Gacy: Devil in Disguise. This 2024 Universal Pictures released the movie Nigh Swim directed by him. Now he is bringing the movie Blood for Dust, a thriller about a man that will do whatever he needs to provide his family what they need even though he was to bring back his criminal life. This movie was premiered at Tribeca Film Festival in 2023. The director is also known for his work as commercial director for different brands such as Airbnb, Delt, etc.

A Closer Look at the Cast

The cast of Blood for Dust comprises actors with considerable experience such as Scoot McNairy as Cliff. McNairy is an American actor and movie producer. He is known for his roles in movies such as in the movies Monsters 2001. Killing Theme Softly 2012, 12 Years of Slavery 2013 and Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice 2016. McNairy is a very versatile actor and for that reason this role is perfect for him. Kit Harington plays Ricky. Harrington is a English actor and is better known for his famous role as John Snow in the acclaimed HBO TV series Game of Thrones, for this role he received nominations for Golden Globe Award and two Prime time Emmy Awards. Josh Lucas plays John. Lucas is an American actor and is best known for his roles in movies such as Sweet Home Alabama 2002, Poseidon 2006, The Red Dog 2011 and many others.

Unfolding a World of Darkness

The story of Blood for Dust present to the audience the main character who is Cliff a salesman that is fighting every day to provide a good life to his family but at the end he lost his job and start thinking in what he is going to do know because he must keep his family living in the best way possible. He wanted to be a good person and reach the American Dream in a honest way but thing are not so simple and he choose to reunite with a person of his past, a person that used to be his partner in crime and who continues being a criminal. Since this point Cliff will start working Ricky, trying to complete his jobs and also trying to secure his family life.

Through Cliff’s story the movie wants to give a look of what a person is capable to do just to provide and give a good life to his family, letting us know, the audience, that Cliff has a past and not a good one, that he tried to never go back to it but the circumstances lwill force him to reunite with a old partner and an the old life of complexities, secrets, lies and survival.

Reception and Reflection

As many other movies Blood for Dust received a mixed response from the critics and viewers who have the opportunity to visualized the movie in the Tribeca Film Festival in June 2023. Some mention that the movie was the best film of the festival, with great performances, in special Scoot McNairy as Cliff, was mention that was excited sees Kit Harington is this new character so we can appreciate that in fact is a good actor not only John Snow and the direction by Rod Blackhurst was great for the action and twist giving in the movie, but on the other hand there is critics that didn’t enjoy the movie, mentioning that it was too slow, that the cast was not well selected, the dialogue was boring and that the story was too predictable. Despite those comments, the true is that the movie wants to show the dark side of human nature and what is capable to do a person to seek a better life.

The filming of Blood for Dust began in November and ended in December 2022, in the location of Billings, Montana. The production reunite a talented cast and the perfect staff to work is synergy and completed the filming process with any delay and without significant controversies.

A story of person that wants to have a good life, an honest job and reach their goals is an endless story both in movies and in real life and that is the premise of the story of Blood for Dust but with a twist that can also have a person in real life. A man that was a criminal with a nice appearance, that decided that doesn’t want to continue in that path and wanted to straighten his life, but life is not easy and is force to want more time be a criminal to give his family a better life. Blood for Dust is a real life story for many people captured in a movie but in this case the movie is showing as it is title says blood, because is shooting, drugs, running, hiding and in case of the protagonist sacrifices. Blood for Dust is movie that can be enjoy just for be an action movie or is we look deep on it a movie of redemption and overcoming, Cliff the main character is fighting for his family, for his wife, for his life and for a better future, probably in the worst way but is one way that he knows and he will risk anything for his family. Many people will identify with Cliff not in the part that he was and more time decided to be criminal but in the side of wake up everyday to work for a better life, to reach our goals, to give our family a place to called home and a good future. Blood for Dust is a movie that will send a message and as audience we are all invite to reach what is the best message for each one of us.

Review and analysis

Wow this is going to be a long post, there is so many details and so much to say about Fallout and in my case the best part is that I know NOTHING about the game and really don't care about it because everything I have to talk about is the series itself and not if its related to the game or not, in fact on my PREVIEW POST I did mention that the series was not going to be canon and it would feel like a new game story for those who have played the game.

Season 1 release all at once, seems that Prime Video is taking a page out of Netflix and not sure why, they didn't do this with Halo and I think it work out fine, releasing all at once leave many viewers with a lot of spoilers, no rest between episodes and takes out the suspense in between.

After watching episode one I really like it an enjoy it, this is NOT a TV series for kids to watch as a fact I would not recommend it for anyone who is not an adult, there are certain things that are kinda bizarre and out of place but I don't mind since this is not educational content, just entertaining, there is sex, drugs, bullying and possible deviation when it comes to the sex of a person and about that I also don't mind and don't care.

The series is develop around the 60s similar as the game suggest, USA is at the border of nuclear war while Cooper Howard a well known actor who mostly played on Western Movies and seem to have served in the army is in some financial trouble so he does kids party shows dress as a cowboy, at the moment when all bombs drop he was with his daughter Janey Howard who I though was a survivor when latter on Lee Moldaver appear I thought it was her but she is not, so far on episode one its not mention if she survive or not, wonder how many will say how come the girl has dark light skin and curly hair and his dad is a white men, well mother is dark so what?

The bombing scene I really enjoy it, specially how they drop more than one nuclear bomb, on my cheap VR Setup look so cool so if anyone had the chance watching this series give it a try on SBS format, this scene was a royal rumble free for all so many people running around like chickens without a head.

Main character on this story steps up, Lucy MacLean, she was born and raise inside Vault 33 and has now come to an age to get married, to a certain point inside each vault they are just to close to each other when it come to family and can't couple between them so I guess the best option is to exchange with another Vault in this case number 32, her brother Norm reminds her it could be anybody, she has no clue how the guy looks but thats fine with her, Lucy is actually the best of the best, well trained and thought. On the images above we see how she signs her weeding dress same as every other women has done it for many years, there were more than ten signatures on that dress.

Until this point there was nothing strange, both vault open up and the ceremony was happening on Vault 33, in many cultures is a custom for the fathers bride to throw the weeding party so all from Vault 32 came in, Vault 33 residents are pacifist, it was a very tight community who help each other. On the series many times we will have sex talk and jokes around it, in this case Lucy was talking about her new husband sperm count to make sure they could reproduce like it was normal small talk while they eat with the rest of the table.

Lucy's brother Norm sense something was off and decided to take a peek at Vault 32, when he arrive it was totally destroy, look like no body have been there for many years, there was dead body who look like they were even eaten, it was the first shots that warn her so she puts on her Pip-Boy a type of hand held bracelet? and detect radiation coming from him, they were raiders but so far it is not well explained how they got there and the radiation, are they from the outside world? it is suppose that until now nobody has been out side the Vault but this proof different.

Big fight starts at Vault 33, raiders mostly killing everyone, Lucy had a fight with her "husband" who end up stabbing her but she survive and safe her brother but the raiders leader, Lee Moldaver had plans for them. Lee is a bombing survivor although bombs happen 219 years ago so how did she survive this long? usually when this kind of apocalyptic scenario happen there is a new world order and some one to blame, Lee seem to be part of that new world order and had Lucy's father to choose between her and the Vault 33 survivors, he choose Lucy so Lee had a bomb explode and kill some other Vault 33 hostages but not everyone died, Lee takes Lucy father to the surface as a hostage this is what force Lucy to go outside. There are details that I try to avoid so I mainly talk about the character motives and not the entire episode, this episodes are 1 hour long.

At first the series will be divided into three stories, there is Cooper Howard who I barley touch since his character The Ghoul appears towards the end without much context, we got Lucy and then there is Maximus. I have to be honest, I did not enjoy much this part of the episode for a few reasons and its not about Dane, I remember Xelia Mendez from The Wheel of Time, she did great as Renna, its about Maximus. Maximus is an aspirant, he is at a camp of the Brotherhood of Steel, its a kind of military organization the most advance with tech pre war era.

Going back with Maximus and Dane, Dane is refer probably as a non binary gender person from what I could find online, obviously this is not part of the game original story but I wonder how this would add anything to the series and if this character will re appear down the line, both are aspirants but lucky Dane was name Squire, each knight of the Brotherhood get a squire just like in medieval times who assist them on the field. Maximus was so jealous he actually put a razor on Dane's boot so gets injure and sabotage the promotion wondering if he was next on the line but someone rat him out, Maximus is bully by everyone and always mad about it but he does nothing about it too, basically a coward and a cheater too, until that moment I seriously could not deal with him until he was interview Elder Cleric Quintus who gave him a chance after he kinda confess sabotaging Dane but at this moment Maximus kinda man up and told him he would give his life for the Brotherhood the is so much doubt from his character, he is a big guy who could defend himself but until now he was just the total opposite, I hope once he gets out on the field things change out if not he will be really annoying.

Its been a while since I had to write about a series with so many things going on at the same time and this posts really turn into long ones so I try to keep them as short as possible, I seriously do not believe online rating at the moment, feel the series is just too new and many people have not seen it yet, there will be those who will massively criticize it for multiple gender topic and how off its from the original story but to be honest if you are just like me and all you want is an action series with some drama and jokes then this is for you, besides Maximus I enjoy episode one and pretend to keep watching it, will try to fit recaps within the week depending on what else I'm watching.

The series has many details specially on Lucy side, all the things she knows and does, all the rules inside the Vault will be a perfect contrast with the outside world, the waste land, outlaws who are the total opposite and then comes in the Brotherhood with their advance tech and weapons who are probably trying to keep things in order as possible, they have a target, they looking for a men who has a dog but so far no explanation of who he is, its possible that the Brotherhoo Knights are just soldiers while others do the intel.
