Enola Holmes 3 - Finish Line
Let's be honest, I was in for the third movie blues.... I mean!!!! this is how things work when a franchise arrives at a finish line, when everyone is getting regular cash, when the jokes get flabby, when the mystery is understated and when the reward is underwhelming. But most of the time that's what happens in movie three. But that's not what has happened here. This could be the strongest of the three and I wasn't expecting it at all.

Just a quick catch-up for those who haven't followed the series: For the first time, Enola will solve real cases with Sherlock and Watson without always having to be the one to get a seat at the table. Good. About time. Her performances in the two movies she had already made established her rightful place in this world, and it's a feeling of satisfaction that the previous movies never achieved in the same way. Except right when she's meant to be settling into that new dynamic, life gets thrown a wrench in she's getting engaged to Tewkesbury, there's a wedding in Malta in the works, and then Sherlock gets kidnapped, bringing her a case that's mired in stolen treasures and secrets that go deeper than anyone anticipated. Now she has a missing brother, a bridal dress in the closet and a mystery growing bigger as she digs deeper. That's a lot to carry all at once and on paper that sounds like it could be a mess. It's not. It works, for the most part, because for once, her personal life and her detective life aren't on two separate tracks as they were in the first two movies. They collide, head-on, all the time and it is this collision that gives this one its teeth

Millie Bobby Brown is just.... really good in this. Much improved from the first two, and I'm not only talking about the first one I liked, but the second as well. The confidence now comes off of her. Talking to the camera is the signature device of this franchise, and would have been easy to run out of gas by the third time around. It's a dangerous game to play going back and forth so much, and the wink ends up being less winning than appealing. However, she still sells it here better than ever. I burst out laughing at some of those off-camera moments, wondering how it just slipped into my lap like that.

I don't think you'd expect to see Cavill's Sherlock in as much use as the marketing would suggest, but it works nicely for the film. If he's there, he's as big of a presence as he was in the previous movies... just a few moments of screen time are enough to make him memorable, and this film provides him with just a few minutes. Rebecca Hall, on the other hand, is having an absolute blast as Eudoria. Her presence on screen gives each and every scene a new lease on life; sarcastic, a bit deranged, and hilariously divert. But Sharon Duncan-Brewster as this film's lead antagonist isn't just a genuinely fun sense of menace, she's also a genuine menace. The mystery plot wanted the villain to be just as much as the stakes of “stolen treasures and buried family secrets” and she is just that kind of presence.

The pacing here is definitely the thinnest of the three, but that was a good thing. Though not fatal, both films were a bit meandering in the middle if you noticed the length of time. This one moves. No dragging, no scenes that serve as filler before the next beat in the story. Each sequence comes across as it is working for its position. The change of setting to Malta is also a big help sun-baked coastal streets and bright Mediterranean light, rather than the foggy, grey London setting of the earlier films that make the whole thing look entirely different from all the other sequels that make this kind of franchise. It's not "London again, but with a different mystery" it feels like it's its own thing.

But the one thing I always have to go back to is the film's portrayal of the marriage versus ambition dilemma in Enola. It's a simple mistake to make. There are so many stories that would do this in this genre that it would seem like fluffy romance to make tension. But rather, this film sits with her fear really, sits with her fear of losing her sense of self to a role she didn't wholly select for herself, one in which she loves someone inside. And all of that without ever slowing down the story of the mystery to accommodate it. Yes, the emotional beats, and the case progression work together, not against one another, which is a hard one to get right, and that's what got me, after the credits, to remember this one.

Is it a good film? ABSOLUTELY, there are two or three minor characters who aren't given nearly as much to do, and there is a solution to the central mystery that rushes. But those are petty criticisms Compared to how many things this film gets right.

I consider this one to be more Sharp, more Funny and more Confident than anything else in this trilogy. If this is it, it's a really great send-off.

Review and Opinion of the Romantic Comedy The Hating Game - Clichés, Rivalry, and Pure Chemistry [ENG-ESP]

Hello friends, welcome to my blog

Right now I’m binge-watching several shows at once, and honestly, I’m in no rush. For example, I’m taking my time with the second season of Avatar: The Last Airbender; with House of the Dragon, I have to wait patiently each week for a new episode, and in the meantime, I’m dipping into movies of different genres here and there. As you may have noticed, my tastes are quite varied, so lately I’ve been in the mood to watch two romantic comedies (a genre I hadn’t watched in a while). We all know how these kinds of stories end, but what’s fun—and what really matters—is how the romance develops and just how “sappy” the journey turns out to be. Today I’m here to tell you about one of them, released in 2021 and starring a super-handsome lead couple: The Hating Game (or in Spanish, Cariño, cuánto te odio), based on the famous book of the same name by Sally Thorne.

The story follows Lucy (Lucy Hale) and Joshua (Austin Stowell), who work at a publishing company. Each comes from one of the two companies that recently merged to save the business, and in practice, they serve as assistants to the senior partners.

Lucy embodies the essence of the traditional publishing house, dedicated to good literature and committed to publishing quality authors. Joshua, on the other hand, comes from the new company, whose sole objective is to make everything more commercial, focused on sales and lighter content.

Since their desks are positioned exactly across from each other, they have to look at each other all day, every day. This forced proximity has created a daily routine of “hatred” between them, in which they take issue with absolutely everything—from the way the other dresses to any little detail the other can use to make a joke or tease them. However, to me, that supposed animosity looked more like a desperate cry of “Pay attention to me!” It was obvious that each was excessively attuned to everything the other did: a classic, sweet love disguised as hate.

And well, you can imagine how the plot unfolds. In a very cliché way, they both end up competing for the same opening for a major promotion, and the tension in the office skyrockets. Everything comes to a head one night when they find themselves alone together in the elevator; the sexual tension becomes unbearable, and they give in to a romance.

At first, I thought this romance would be driven mainly by Lucy, believing that Joshua—with his serious, cold, and methodical demeanor—wouldn’t fall for her charms so easily. But it turned out to be the exact opposite: his personality did a complete 180, and we began to discover a man who was incredibly tender, attentive, and approachable.

Despite being super predictable and loaded with every cliché in the genre, the movie has a great vibe—the kind that hooks you so much you don’t want to go to sleep until you see the final credits.

The chemistry between Lucy Hale and Austin Stowell is incredible and comes across on screen in a very natural way. In conclusion, it’s a perfect and highly entertaining choice for unwinding, having a good time, and completely forgetting about the stresses of everyday life.

Como habrán notado, mis gustos son bastante variados, así que en estos días me dio por ver dos comedias románticas (un género que tenía tiempo sin consumir). Todos sabemos de antemano cómo terminan este tipo de historias, pero lo divertido y lo que realmente importa es el desarrollo de ese amor y qué tan "empalagoso" resulta el camino. Hoy vengo a hablarles de una de ellas, estrenada en 2021 y con una pareja de protagonistas súper guapos: The Hating Game (o en español, "Cariño, cuánto te odio"), basada en el famoso libro homónimo de Sally Thorne.

La historia sigue a Lucy (Lucy Hale) y Joshua (Austin Stowell), quienes trabajan en una empresa editorial. Cada uno proviene de las dos compañías que recién se fusionaron para salvar el negocio y, en la práctica, ejercen como asistentes de los socios principales.

Todo explota una noche en la que coinciden solos en el ascensor; la tensión sexual se vuelve insostenible y dan paso a un romance.

Al principio pensé que este acercamiento iba a ser promovido principalmente por Lucy, creyendo que Joshua, por su aspecto serio, frío y metódico, no caería tan fácil ante sus encantos. Pero fue todo lo contrario: la personalidad de él dio un giro de 180 grados y empezamos a descubrir a un hombre sumamente tierno, atento y accesible.

A pesar de ser súper predecible y de estar cargada de todos los clichés habidos y por haber en el género, la película transmite una vibra buenísima; de esas que te enganchan tanto que no te quieres ir a dormir hasta ver los créditos finales.

La química entre Lucy Hale y Austin Stowell es tremenda y traspasa la pantalla de una forma muy natural. En conclusión, es una opción perfecta y sumamente entretenida para desconectarse, pasar un rato ameno y olvidarse por completo del estrés del día a día.

This movie raises the question: What is a dad? Certainly, it’s not such a simple question. Because it’s not just about who raises or who fathers a child, that ambiguity laid the foundation for creating a comedic story with a message that can or should be taken seriously.

Directed by Sean Anders and released in theaters in 2015, Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg joined forces to make another comedy film, but this one also has dramatic elements. They shared the screen for the first time in "The Other Guys" (2010), formed a comedic duo, and became friends.

"Daddy's Home" aims to use that same dynamic of contrasts and push it to the extreme, transforming the cop genre into the everyday life of a modern family. I must say the movie is the typical "I learned my lesson" story, which makes it predictable but undeniably entertaining.

Dusty is the embodiment of the alpha male stereotype: muscular, rebellious, charismatic, and a master of passive-aggressive manipulation. With his arrival, the movie revolves around a ridiculous male competition to win the throne of the household.

In short, the movie deals with the rivalry between the stepfather and the biological father, competing to win the family's affection. Amid many funny situations, there is a theme that does not go unnoticed and is the heart of the film: the children's relationship with their parents.

They unconditionally prefer their biological father, but Dusty is superficially affectionate as an absent father: He gives gifts to his children to somehow "compensate" for his love. The supporting cast also slightly raises the quality of the film; Thomas Haden Church shines as Brad’s eccentric boss, and Hannibal Buress, although not very outstanding (he just repeats the same joke in various scenes).

"Daddy's Home" does not try to be more than it intends to be. Its script has moments where the jokes feel forced and a bit stretched. Sean Anders chose to play it safe, keeping the overall tone quite commercial.

The movie delivers exactly what it promises from its trailer. It is a work held almost entirely by the charisma and dynamics of its leads. It is suitable for a family audience, and I would recommend it for a good time with family or friends.

After watching the movie, I think it's worth writing about. I really love this movie though it's a vampire movie, the actions, scene and performance make the movie epic ‎ ‎I've heard and watched many movies about vampire, but this one is way different than all I have seen. ‎At the starting of the movie, I thought it will be more of a revenge kind because of what happened, but watching it to an extent, I realized there's more to the movie than revenge.

‎I thinking am going to add this one to my favourite, because I really enjoyed the movie. ‎Its a movie I can watch often times without getting tired of it. I find the movie more interesting each time I watch it. ‎ ‎If you have watched the movie you can relate with what am saying, (though not everybody might like the movie)and if you haven't, I think you should try it. The movie is about a power vampire who wants to take over all clans with the help of his girlfriend and her friend. All my time watching vampire movies, I haven't seen a vampire that heals fast like Victor ( a vampire Lord who wants to take over and be the boss to all vampire in LA). ‎ ‎The reasons I love this movie is because of the way the movie was been directed, and how it ended, I love the way it ended,it really made me happy.

‎The name of the movies is Night teeth. In the movie, Benny and Jay are cousin, Jay knows everything about the vampire world, but Benny don't. victor is the strongest vampire in that region. He asked Jay to join him in his plans but Jay refused, that begins a fight between Jay and Victor. ‎

Jay had a appointment to drive victor's girls( Jay wasn't aware that it was Victor girls that booked the car) on the night victor sent them to kill all the leaders, and after then, they bring Jay to him. but unfortunately, Jay gave the job to Benny ‎because he wants to go after victor for taking his girlfriend.

‎ ‎At the end, his girls succeeded, but victor capture Jay himself, Benny was bitten by victor. Victor and his girlfriend were killed too. ‎although the movie don't have much actions, but my time wasn't wasted. I don't recommend this movie to everyone, but to those who think all vampire movies are scary and not to be watched at night, and those who wants to try a new vore movie.

Adam Sandler: An Astronaut's Epiphany 🧑🏻‍🚀🧑🏻‍🚀, Psychological Review

This review is fully focused on the great Adam Sandler and his character in this film. As an actor with decades of experience, I believe he showed a level of maturity in this movie that completely surprised me; I expected to laugh non-stop, but I ended up with a profound sense of sadness.

The Epiphany of a Spaceman named Jakub is something that I think people—especially men—will deeply relate to. I feel that we are the ones who long for things the most when we don't have them, yet when they are right in front of our eyes... we don't give them the value they deserve because we get bored of them, whether they are things, people, or pets.

Esta reseña esta plenamente enfocada en el buen Adam Sandler y su personaje para esta pelicula ya que como actor de decadas, considero demostro en este film una madurez que me sorprendio totalmente, yo esperaba reir a mas no poder pero termine con un regocijo de tristeza.

La Epifania de un Hombre Espacial llamado Jakub con el que pienso, los Hombres sobre todo, nos vamos a sentir bastante identificados porque percibo somos nosotros quienes mas anelamos las cosas cuando no las tenemos y cuando estan reflejadas en nuestros ojos.... no les damos el valor que se merecen porque nos aburre ya sean cosas, personas o mascotas.

This visual beauty stands in stark contrast with the psychological suffering of the protagonist, which is the core of this review. Honestly, there are three vital characters here that will make you reflect deeply and complexly.

To be fair, I truly see Adam Sandler more like a Soviet cosmonaut in this story of lonely suffering. What I don't see is him being thin enough for the crucial nickname his character receives in the story. That's my only critique, because honestly, I see him looking pretty muscular, haha! 😅😅

I always love adding some humor to my reviews, and with Adam Sandler, it’s just inevitable. Every single time they called him 'Skinny Human' in the movie, I couldn't stop laughing.

Adam Sandler sinceramente si que lo veo mas como un sovietico para esta historia de sufrimiento solitario, lo que no lo veo es lo suficientemente delgado para el apodo vital que recibe el protagonista dentro de la historia, esto ultimo es la unica critica que tengo porque yo sinceramente lo veo a el bastante muscular jaja 😅😅

Me agrada darle risas a mis reseñas, con Adam Sandler es inevitable porque cada que le decian en la pelicula Humano Delgado, yo me reia a mas no poder.

Fuera de lo anterior, si tienes muchos problemas de Amor, Pareja, me animaria a incluir familia, pero no amistades porque en si de las amistades yo paso sin problemas, la pelicula te hara recapacitar y valorarlos mas, o al menos eso pienso puede suceder en ti.

However, I highly doubt a good portion of those viewers will truly appreciate the protagonist's story; I think it will put them to sleep. If it ends up putting you to sleep, maybe it's just because you are still missing many life experiences that bring darkness into your world... they will come in due time, because we all go through those internal cosmic abysses.

This is especially true if you have ever loved a woman, had her for a brief moment, and then lost her. I think that exact feeling is what the protagonist amplifies the most. That’s where I deeply connected with him, because of how much I miss the times I spent with Margaret, a girl I liked a lot back in college.

This is truly a great movie to cry a happy tear for the punishment found in the solitude of our own memories.

El buen Adam con sus años de filmografia puede atraer mas audiencia, dudo mucho que buena parte de esos espectadores aprecie la historia del protagonista, pienso los dormira, si a ti te llega a dormir, tal vez sea porque te faltan aun muchas experiencias que traigan oscuridades a tu vida.... a su momento llegaran porque todos pasamos por esos abismos espaciales internos.

Sobre todo si llegaste a amar a una mujer, por momentos la tuviste y luego la perdiste. Pienso el sentimiento anterior es el que mas amplifica el protagonista, alli conecte mucho con el porque como añoro los tiempos que pase junto a Margaret, una chica que me gustaba mucho en la Universidad.

La Vida siguio y yo simplemente la perdi 🥲🥲.

Esta si que es una buena pelicula para llorar felizmente por el castigo en la soledad de nuestros recuerdos.

When cinema is used as a tool to criticize a specific subject, it's always interesting to watch from the sidelines what is about to unfold. In the case of this movie, there is a “politically incorrect” critique (so to speak) of the world of vloggers (bloggers in general, but more specifically... audiovisual content creators) and how far they are willing to go to gain more and more subscribers within an increasingly superficial “bubble”.
Morbidly Beautiful
Dealing with the worrying (and growing) decline in subscribers to their monetized travel channel (where the videos are basically reviews of accommodations that serve as recommendations for the audience), Teddy and Claire decide to take a new gamble by staying at a highly sought-after house. Once they arrive, they quickly realize they can also use their seemingly unbalanced host as a “marketing campaign”. However, the couple's plans (who have their own somewhat dramatic issues woven throughout the movie) are thwarted by Rebecca, a host who is actually much more than they believe. Once her intentions are revealed as a true nightmare for them, a battle for survival begins, bringing many unexpected consequences. Blending suspense with touches of comedy and drama, the screenplay has some strong moments.

Basically, the screenplay ends up working better on paper than on screen. The idea of “spitting in the face” of digital content creators by exposing the lack of ethics and morality many of them have (especially through their relentless *clickbaits*, at any cost) is appealing and trough-provoking, but the story fails to deliver the weight needed for the atmosphere to be - *in fact* - as heavy as it should have been (despite trying to achieve this with a few scenes of explicit violence). Here, there are two extremes (and neither of them works very well). The first is relying on exaggeration to create psychologically uncomfortable moments (such as Rebecca's dysfunctional behavior, as she always appears on screen as an unstable person... albeit with strategically “made-up” layers). The other extreme is using the same kind of exaggeration to try to shock the audience with the “unpredictability” of the events.

Amid all this, the screenplay also tries to bring the relationship between the vlogger couple to the forefront as the central dilemma to be resolved, showing the fragility of their relationship and how their work is actually built on the big lies they “weave” while editing their videos. This aspect of the screenplay is also consistent, but it is not developed well enough to become a truly significant issue (even so, the biting criticism is present). **Gracie Gillam** plays a villain who, despite being quite cartoonish at times, manages to win over the audience with a dissonant character who hides very dark secrets. On the other hand, the duo of **Osric Chau** and **Sara Canning** has no chemistry whatsoever on screen and delivers poorly constructed performances. Everything the screenplay tries to build around them feels weak, especially the “investigative” atmosphere surrounding Rebecca's secrets.
Flickering Myth
***Superhost*** truly missed excellent opportunities to become a very relevant movie, and the dual work by **Brandon Christensen** (who not only wrote but also directed the project) is inconsistent throughout its entire premise. The only thing I knew about Strange Darling was that it had received quite a bit of coverage in specialized media last year. I always avoid spoilers, and it wasn't until I finally saw it that I could say I agreed with most of the critics and viewers who had given it positive reviews, because I loved it.

It has a frenetic opening, and from that moment on, it completely captivated me. The first thing I noticed was its aesthetic, which is very reminiscent of 1970s horror thrillers. A brilliant choice; just seeing that first sequence brought a smile to my face because it reminded me of a bunch of movies I used to watch when I rented VHS tapes at the video store.

Since its cinematography is so striking, I started researching who the director of photography was, and I was in for a big surprise. The actor Giovanni Ribisi was responsible for capturing that aesthetic. I was completely unaware that this actor also worked as a director of photography. Perhaps his name doesn't ring a bell, but if you look him up, you'll know who I'm talking about, as he has an extensive filmography, including James Cameron's Avatar films.

I'm not going to tell you much about the story, because the key to enjoying the film is knowing as little as possible about it, or letting yourself be guided by what you see in the trailer, which I like because it plays with mystery. I'll just say that a woman flees an apparent serial killer terrorizing a region of the United States and must fight for her life.

The story is told in chapters, but the chronological order is omitted, which gives the narrative a bit more dynamism and, of course, also helps reveal the plot twists and surprises. It uses the genre's clichés, and the non-linear narrative isn't exactly original either, but the film doesn't pretend to be anything more. The good thing is that this combination and the director's style work.

This is the second film by filmmaker J.T. Mollner. The first was Outlaws and Angels, which I haven't seen yet. I'm already looking for it, because I'm sure his style is already evident in it, and the story must have some good plot twists. It's a Western, but I have to find out where it's available in my country. Before these two films, the filmmaker had only made short films.

The director is already working on a new project, which will feature Oscar-winning actress Brie Larson. The success of Strange Darling has undoubtedly made it easier for him to take on new projects with larger budgets. He will also be working with actor Kyle Gallner on his new film. Gallner is one of the stars of Strange Darling, playing the man who pursues the beautiful young woman. I recently reviewed a film where Gallner also shines in his performance: Carolina Caroline.

Actress Willa Fitzgerald plays a woman whose story begins with a one-night stand and ends in a hunt that leaves a trail of death. Her performance is excellent and demonstrates several shifts in tone as the story unfolds.

Lo único que sabía de Strange Darling era que había recibido bastante cobertura en medios especializados el año pasado. Plot

The movie begins by showing us what appears to be a large mansion from the inside, ending at the entrance where two men are trying to steal a sports car. When they hear the alarm, they both speed off in the car while trying to escape from a police patrol through the city. The Black man driving the car calls himself Rock Keats, and his loudmouthed, troublemaking partner is named Archie Moses. The two seem to be good friends, but the truth is that Rock is an undercover police officer trying to befriend Archie so he can turn him in to his boss.

La película inicia mostrándonos lo que parece ser una gran mansión desde el interior, terminando en la entrada donde dos hombres intentan robarse un auto deportivo. Al escuchar la alarma, ambos se van corriendo con el auto mientras intentan escapar de una patrulla de policías por la ciudad. El hombre de color que va manejando el auto se hace llamar Rock Keats y su compañero gritón y busca pleitos se llama Archie Moses. Honestly, after watching this movie for the last time, I had serious doubts about whether or not to talk about it. Bulletproof is one of those “guilty pleasures” that I’m sure everyone has when it comes to movies. I say this because it’s the worst of the worst when it comes to direction, screenplay, story, characters, and so on. The only thing that saved it was the excellent duo of Adam Sandler and Damon Wayans. It’s already hilarious enough to see Sandler playing himself in a cop movie or something like that, and adding the Wayans brother to the mix gives it a unique twist.

Also, this was one of those movies that would air very occasionally on cable TV at my house ever since I was a kid. So, just like the vast majority of Adam Sandler movies, Bulletproof is also part of my childhood and adolescence. Saying this might sound worse than you’d imagine, since watching a movie with adult humor like the one we have here is NOT AT ALL recommended—especially not with kids around, seriously. I have to admit that Sandler ruined my childhood, just like horror movies did.

Sinceramente, luego de haber visto por última vez esta película, me entraron unas fuertes dudas de si hablar de ella o no. Bulletproof es uno de esos “gustos culposos” que seguramente todo el mundo tiene al momento de ver películas. Lo digo porque es lo peor de lo peor en cuanto respecta a dirección, guión, historia, personajes, etc. Lo único que lo hizo salvable es la excelente dupla que hacen Adam Sandler y Damon Wayans. Ya de por sí me da mucha risa ver a Sandler ser él mismo en una película de policías y cosas por el estilo, la suma del hermano Wayans a esta fórmula le da un toque único.

También que este era de esas películas que muy de vez en cuando se transmitían en la televisión por cable de mi casa desde que era un niño. Así que, al igual que la gran mayoría de películas de Adam Sandler, Bulletproof también forma parte de mi infancia y adolescencia. Decir esto puede sonar peor de lo que te imaginas ya que ver una película con un humor para adultos como lo es esta que tenemos aquí no es PARA NADA recomendable verla y menos con niños presentes, de verdad. Debo admitir que Sandler destruyó mi infancia, al igual que lo hicieron las películas de terror.

The Mandalorian and Grogu Review - Just an Extended TV Episode?
After not being too thrilled with the third season of The Mandalorian, I finally decided to check out the franchise's newest movie, The Mandalorian & Grogu. I was pretty curious why they didn't just do a fourth season instead, but I was even more surprised that it got a theatrical release, seeing as we haven't had anything from the Star Wars universe on the big screen since 2019.

Ever since Lucasfilm was bought by Disney, pretty much everything Star Wars-related has been garbage—and I say that as a die-hard fan of the original trilogy. The only things I've genuinely enjoyed and would recommend without hesitation are Andor and The Mandalorian. The latter blew up because it dropped right during the pandemic, leaning into that winning mix of cuteness, sci-fi, and action that really clicked with younger generations.

Personally, I loved the first two seasons, wasn't a huge fan of the third, and figured a fourth season would finally give the story a definitive conclusion. Instead, we get this movie, and it doesn't really wrap up the plot either. Once again, we find Mando and Grogu cruising through space, hunting down the leaders of the Imperial remnant with bounties on their heads issued by the New Republic, which is now running the show and trying to bring order to the galaxy.

As you might remember, Mando is a bounty hunter, so he takes these New Republic contracts. That leads straight into the opening action sequence on an ice planet, with Mando tearing through Stormtroopers and ultimately taking out another target. It’s a sequence worthy of the Star Wars universe, though definitely nothing we haven't seen before. He takes on another gig, but this time it involves the Hutts, tracking down Jabba’s lost son.

And that’s pretty much how the whole movie goes: chasing down characters and bagging bad guys. I won't say too much to avoid spoilers, but the plot doesn't really bring anything new to the table, neither in story nor in character development. I feel like it missed a massive opportunity to let Grogu evolve—without sacrificing the cuteness people love—by exploring his skills and showing him using the Force more effectively so he could become more independent. After all, his species lives a really long time, and he won't be able to stay with Mando forever.

At its core, the movie feels like an extended episode of the series. I think Disney ran out of ideas a long time ago; aside from Andor, there's nothing truly new and exciting to watch. I'm not saying I didn't enjoy the movie—it was fun in its own way—but it’s packed with the exact kind of Star Wars clichés that have exhausted fans and turned so many people off the franchise. Frankly, I wouldn't waste money on a movie ticket for this; it's definitely worth waiting for it to hit streaming. It’s a solid flick for a family movie night, though.

Recientemente me animé a ver la nueva adaptación de La casa de la pradera, una serie que cuenta con 8 episodios en total, de los cuales ya he disfrutado los tres primeros. Verla me despertó una hermosa nostalgia, trayéndome a la memoria aquellos años 70 cuando era una niña y esta historia acompañó gran parte de mi niñez y adolescencia. Aunque no estoy segura de haberla visto por completo en su momento, sí recuerdo haber seguido el crecimiento de Laura Ingalls hasta convertirse en mujer. Investigando un poco, me impresiona enormemente pensar en la magnitud de aquella producción original, que contó con 9 temporadas y más de 20 episodios cada una; ¡una labor titánica y admirable!
