The replacement soldiers’ integration—a concept rich with potential—remains a surface-level device, and Sobel’s cameo feels gratuitous. Have you ever looked into the eyes of power and asked yourself—if I had the ability to decide who lives or dies, would I be just… or would I simply be another form of evil, cloaked in righteousness?

This isn’t an easy article to read. It’s meant to make you uncomfortable. To make you question things you’ve always thought were absolute. Because when we talk about Death Note, we’re not just talking about an anime. We’re talking about the slow unraveling of human morality, ego, justice, and madness—all under the guise of “doing the right thing.”

Let’s go there together.

Light is not a villain in the beginning. No, that is the scary part.

He starts out just like you and me--angry over the injustices of the world. Angry that murderers go free, weak people are trampled on, how the system lets down good people time and time again.

Enter then the Death Note that falls out of the sky; an item that can grant its wielder the ability to kill anyone by merely writing their name.

Light steals it.

You can almost hear his justification: “If I can rid the world of evil, isn’t it my responsibility to do it?”

Pause here.

This is the point when you are no longer watching an anime. You see a mirror.

Because deep inside all of us, there is a hunger—not for violence, but for control. For the ability to make things right, to punish the wicked, to restore balance.

But what is justice when it’s wielded by flawed hands?

Initially, Light kills criminals. Murderers. Rapists. People you would not mind losing.

But then… his standards get different.

Justice suddenly turns to anyone who happens to be in his path. Investigators. Journalists. Innocents.

Why? Since the mission is pure. This is since the end justifies the means.

This is the way to make insanity appear in moral guise.

It’s slow. Subtle. Logical.

One day you are punishing the guilty. The following, you are writing the names of the people who do not agree with your practices--because they are the danger to the dream.

Death Note teaches us that justice, which lacks accountability, always soured into tyranny.

And that the worst are people who think they cannot be evil.

L vs. Light: Logic vs. Godhood Then enters L—the quirky, insomniac detective who sees through Light’s lies. L represents logic. Cold, unbiased, strategic logic. He doesn’t kill. He doesn’t moralize. He observes.

Where Light sees himself as a god, L sees himself as a student of truth.

Their battle is one of the greatest in anime history—not just because of the twists and mind games—but because it’s a battle of two worldviews:

**Light believes the world needs a god.

L believes the world needs truth. **

One seeks order through fear. The other seeks understanding through patience. Who wins in the end? Who should win?

That is the question that keeps you thinking long after the series ends.

The fact that Light is such a normal guy is what is scary about Death Note. A student. A son. A dreamy boy.

But when power was put into his hand, something ugly showed itself.

It was not so loud. It was not abrupt. It was suave.

That is the way madness usually goes.

We always want to believe that insanity is supposed to appear as a mess, but Death Note shows us that even madness can have a suit, walk to school and score straight As. Insanity can talk in low tones, be well-bred, and actually be convinced that it is doing the correct thing.

Light is an easy target to blame.

However, the question we have to sit with is this: If we had the Death Note… how long before we turned into him?

Justice: An Individual Delusion?

Justice as we see in the Death Note is a gray idea. Not the truth-sword. It is a reflecting glass.

Every individual interprets justice in his/her own way:

To Light, it is eliminating evil even at the cost of innocents.

To L, it is finding the truth, even at the cost of their lives.

To Near, it is maintenance of peace- even at the expense of manipulation.

What is then true justice?

Perhaps there is not one answer.

Perhaps it is not justice of results, and more of restraint. About humility. On the one hand, about knowing that just because you can do something… doesn't mean you should.

Light ends up losing.

But it is not that he dies that is tragic.

The tragedy is that he dies thinking that he was right.

He does not regard himself as a bad guy. He considers himself a martyr.

And is it not the most chilling thing of all?

He transformed the world. He established a reign of terror whereby the criminals went into hiding. He turned into a legend. A god.

But he passed away… in solitude. Unloved. Unmourned.

He lost himself out of it so slowly that he did not realize he had become the thing he vowed to destroy.

Final Reflection: Your Death Note You may never hold a black notebook with the power to kill. But every day, you make decisions that ripple through the lives of others. Through your words. Your judgments. Your silences. Do you rush to condemn before understanding?

Do you believe the worst about others while excusing your own flaws?

Do you sit in the seat of justice… without empathy?

We all hold a metaphorical Death Note. And how we use it defines who we are becoming.

So today, ask yourself:

Are you becoming justice—or madness?

*Because in the end, Death Note isn’t about Light. It’s about us. Our thirst for control. Our dance with power. And our fragile grip on what it means to be human.

Let me start with the question: what will you expect when you are about to see an animated story that you have heard more than 100 times, and have already seen in movies, series and comics? It's difficult to pay attention to the flow of the story or the movie. In recent years, there has been a shift in Indian cinema to portray Hinduism and the stories based on the Hindu teachings. There are the likes of Adipursh, Kalki 2898 AD, which fail on every aspect as movies. (I will take some time to beat them up again) There are bad ones like the Singham again and Ramsetu. (Honestly, they were just trying to capitalise on the crowd sentiments.) There are good movies like Hanu-Man here and there. And then there is this, a direct retelling of the story. Mahavatar Narsimha is the direct retelling 4th incarnation of Lord Vishnu. Source

SPOILER ALERT: I know many of us are already familiar with the story, but to those who are not. Go and watch this movie. You will not be disappointed. I am not going to discuss the story here. But overall movie and quality.

This movie is beautiful and Awesome. Not perfect, but awesome. I enjoyed it thoroughly. And that's a big win, I say. The challenge was the language in which it was released in Trichy. The Movie was released in Hindi, Kannada, Telugu, Malayalam and Tamil. My understanding of Tamil is a little broken. I understand Tamil, but it is a movie depicting the Satyuga. The language had very difficult-to-understand words. And I was heavily reliant on the subtitles. There were scenes that felt too wordy. I mean, I know the story, but certain dialogues were lost on me. To be honest, the start of the movie got me a little nervous. The scene with Diti and Kashyapa Rishi. But once the demons were introduced, the story kicks the high gear oh!! Boy. It's hard to describe the beautiful introduction of Bhoodevi, the introduction of the Varha avatar, followed by the epic fight scene. With the matras lining up as background score, just super nice. What I liked the most was that depictions. Sometimes it's hard to depict something that's beyond our imagination. And we are not even halfway through the movie. Even when I knew what was about to happen next, I was still caught looking at the big screen in awe. You have no idea how much hardly I am suppressing my urge to share the list of awesome moments from this film, but that might ruin your experience when you watch it. This is the movie that people should watch and recommend. One can complain about the quality of animation, but keep in mind that this was done with a budget of 15CR.

Hi Folks I took my son to this movie. This is my young one’s first theatre experience. I wanted Jurassic World: Rebirth to be his first theatre experience, but after watching this movie, I am glad we missed Jurassic World. It was a joy watching him jump on his seat during the action scenes and experiencing the movie magic. My dad took me to Jurassic Park, and that was my first movie experience. I wanted to share something similar with my son. And now I have. So Yay!!!!. He enjoyed the movie. He is too young to understand the message of the movie, but he understands that 'Lion ne gande man ko maar diya.'

Psycho pass anime take place in a futuristic version of Japan in which the country is governed by Sibyl an AI system than scan people mental states and rate them. This mental state and rating is making a "crime coefficient" which is a number predicting the probability/possibility that the person commit a crime. If the crime coefficient a certain threshold they can go in prison or be executed without further paperwork.

The anime is very well made and story have a good rhythm, antagonist & protagonist are both really well written.
I won't spoil it to you, but basically a rookie Akana have strong morals and question the system and if it still is justice or just hazardous. In the anime the antagonist is a sir that can commit as much crimes as he want without his psycho pass changing which make him "unbeatable" and will bring the protagonist to question her work.

The story is entertaining and interesting but that's not what we are here for, what i was paying the most attention at while watchin the anime was the core themes of this anime especially something that wouldn't really be concevable in today world, punishing people for crimes they might possibly commit in the future. I don't know for you but if tomorrow we change our current legal system (that is not perfect) for this supposedly perfect legal system i'm unsure if i would still enjoy life/ the way of living the same way. Another thing in this anime society is that every one seem like empty after always doing everything "perfectly" is it not everyday non-planned surprises that make the worth living ?

On a more strictly legal level, how could we know that the system is working correctly and not having any défaillance that send innocent people to prison or to death. What if we use a similar technology to detect "probable criminal" and then bring them to some sort of social help centers in which we understand what the trouble is and "heal" the want to commit a crime without ever punishing before a crime we could still afford to reduce crime but at the price of scanning everyone actions 24h/24 would you like such a system that kinda erase your privacy to reduce the criminality rate.

You can go deeper in the analysis and theorize a bit about how you would setup a similar system.

Hace poco ví una película con mi hermana que estaba en nuestra watchlist de Letterboxd ya que ella conocía al actor que hace de protagonista en esta historia. Es una película poco escuchada y la verdad es que no tenía mucha idea de que trataba más que de una relación entre un profesor y su alumna, así que como me gustan las películas de drama y está es de este género me animé a verla, los invito a leer mi reseña de Blame.

I recently watched a movie with my sister that was on our Letterboxd watchlist since she knew the actor who plays the main character in this story. It is a little heard movie and the truth is that I had no idea what it was about more than a relationship between a teacher and his student, so as I like drama movies and this is of this genre I encouraged me to see it, I invite you to read my review of Blame.

La trama nos cuenta la historia de Abigail una estudiante de secundaria que fue retirada de la escuela por una situación que vivió dentro de ella y que ahora por la motivación de sus padres regresa de nuevo para retomar sus clases presenciales. Pero ella tiene un historial de ser una chica problemática o al menos así la pintan algunas alumnas que estudiaron con ella en años anteriores, sin embargo ellas no son las mejores estudiantes ni tienen el mejor comportamiento dentro y fuera de la institución, son las típicas adolescentes que buscan ser vistas de alguna manera a costa de cualquier cosa. Y ellas no harán que el regreso de Abigail sea facil mucho menos cuando se enteren de que hay un posible romance entre ella y su profesor Jeremy Woods.

The plot tells the story of Abigail, a high school student who was withdrawn from school due to a situation she experienced inside the school and who now, due to her parents' motivation, returns to take her classes again. But she has a history of being a problematic girl or at least that's how she is painted by some students who studied with her in previous years, however they are not the best students or have the best behavior inside and outside the institution, they are typical teenagers who seek to be seen somehow at the cost of anything. And they won't make Abigail's return easy, much less when they find out that there is a possible romance between her and her professor Jeremy Woods.

La historia comienza de una manera bastante común como lo harían en una película de adolescentes mostrando cómo cada uno de los estudiantes interactuan entre si y como son las clases que tienen, dónde van a conocer a su nuevo profesor Jeremy Woods quien está interesado en hacer una obra de teatro como parte de la nota final de la materia escolar. Entre los grupos está Melissa una chica sumamente problemática, poco empática, con una apariencia mayor a lo que se supone debería verse para su edad y una actitud completamente desafiante, junto a ella se la pasa otra chica más tímida llamada Sophie quien desea de alguna manera formar parte de los chicos "cool" de la escuela por lo que hace todo lo necesario y lo que Melissa quiera para poder encajar y además ser vista por Eric uno de los chicos populares de la escuela. También junto a este grupo de chicas está Ellie una joven más introvertida que intenta formar parte del grupo de Melissa pero sabe que las cosas que está chica hace no son buenas o al menos no para ella y lo que espera vivir en la secundaria.

The story begins in a fairly common way as they would in a teen movie showing how each of the students interact with each other and how are the classes they have, where they are going to meet their new teacher Jeremy Woods who is interested in doing a play as part of the final grade of the school subject. Among the groups is Melissa an extremely problematic girl, not very empathetic, with an appearance older than what is supposed to look for her age and a completely defiant attitude, next to her is another more shy girl named Sophie who wants somehow to be part of the "cool" kids of the school so she does everything necessary and whatever Melissa wants to fit in and also be seen by Eric one of the popular guys at school. Also along with this group of girls is Ellie a more introverted young girl who tries to be part of Melissa's group but knows that the things this girl does are not good or at least not for her and what she hopes to experience in high school.

El problema se enfoca en que Abigail empieza a tomar protagonismo ante la clase cuando su profesor Jeremy Woods la escoge como una de las actrices principales de la obra de teatro. Esto genera mucha rabia entre Melissa y su grupo, pero sobre todo ella porque siente que Abigail es una molestia y le impide sobresalir como siempre quiere ella lograrlo en cualquier ámbito de su vida. Obviamente al comienzo el profesor Woods no ve a Abigail más que como su estudiante, pero luego con pequeños encuentros y charlas se va interesando en ella sin llegar a sobrepasarse de la línea. Y esto es parte de toda la trama principal de la película, ver cómo Abigail intenta que Woods se fije en ella mientras que Melissa planea vengarse de ella por sentirse inferior y a la vez demostrarle quién "manda" dentro de la escuela.

The problem focuses on the fact that Abigail begins to take center stage in front of the class when her teacher Jeremy Woods chooses her as one of the main actresses in the play. This generates a lot of anger among Melissa and her group, but especially her because she feels that Abigail is a nuisance and prevents her from excelling as she always wants to achieve in any area of her life. Obviously at first Professor Woods doesn't see Abigail as anything more than his student, but then with small encounters and small talk he becomes interested in her without ever stepping over the line. And this is part of the main plot of the film, to see how Abigail tries to get Woods to notice her while Melissa plans to take revenge on her for feeling inferior and at the same time show him who "rules" in the school.

Me recuerda mucho a la película Mean Girls, donde el grupo de chicas andan liderando la escuela y escogen a la víctima que más les sea facil de usar a su favor. Solo que Abigail es mucho más que una persona extraña como todos la catalogan, ella es un poco silenciosa y nunca se mete en problemas pero aún así tiene este pasado que despierta la curiosidad del por qué dicen que ella es una psicópata. Es muy entretenida la historia mientras que vemos cómo cada uno de los personajes van enfrentando diferentes situaciones propias de la edad y de la poca madurez que se tiene cuando se es joven.

It reminds me a lot of the movie Mean Girls, where the group of girls are leading the school and they choose the victim that is easiest to use to their advantage. Only Abigail is much more than just a strange person as everyone labels her, she's a bit quiet and never gets into trouble but still has this past that makes you curious as to why they say she's a psychopath. The story is very entertaining as we see how each of the characters are facing different situations typical of age and the little maturity you have when you are young.

Realmente me encantó la participación de Chris Messina cómo Jeremy Woods, a este actor lo ví en la serie de Heridas Abiertas y fue uno de sus mejores papeles hasta ahora, realmente se siente la tensión y el tormento que genera en él el deseo de estar con Abigail siendo su alumna, es algo que sucede mucho pero que en las películas algunas veces lo romantizan demasiado, en este caso la película no llega a ese punto de unir a los dos, simplemente cada uno comprende en la situación en la que se encuentran y aceptan lo que sintieron como una atracción pero no llega a más de allí. Abigail interpretada por Quin Shephard quien además de hacer de protagonista fue la directora de la película y debutó con esta historia para mí lo hizo increíble, tanto que me pareció muy poco el tiempo de la duración de la película para una trama que generó tanta intriga y emoción cuando la vi.

I really loved the participation of Chris Messina as Jeremy Woods, I saw this actor in the series of Open Wounds and it was one of his best roles so far, you can really feel the tension and torment that generates in him the desire to be with Abigail being his student, it is something that happens a lot but sometimes in movies they romanticize it too much, in this case the film does not reach that point of uniting the two, simply each one understands the situation in which they find themselves and accept what they felt as an attraction but does not go beyond there. Abigail played by Quin Shephard who in addition to playing the lead was the director of the film and made her debut with this story for me did amazing, so much so that I found the length of the film very little time for a plot that generated so much intrigue and emotion when I saw it.

Es una historia llena de drama y que te mantiene mirándola hasta el final, lo más increíble es que no esperas que termine de la manera en la que lo hizo. Sucedió algo completamente inesperado que le dió el toque final a la historia, así dando a entender el por qué de la forma en la que actuaba uno de los personajes principales. Eso fue el toque que me dejó perturbada y a la vez hizo que me gustara mucho está historia que no es una más de adolescentes que pelean por ser los populares, sino que buscando destruir una mentira se destapó la verdad de otros y puedo decir que vale completamente la pena ver está película, hay mucho drama y tensión así que si les gustan este tipo de historias tal vez está sea una de sus próximas favoritas.

It's a story full of drama that keeps you watching until the end, the most incredible thing is that you don't expect it to end the way it did. Something completely unexpected happened that gave the final touch to the story, thus giving you to understand why one of the main characters acted the way he did. That was the touch that left me disturbed and at the same time made me really like this story that is not one more of teenagers fighting to be popular, but seeking to destroy a lie the truth of others was uncovered and I can say that this movie is completely worth watching, there is a lot of drama and tension so if you like this kind of stories maybe this will be one of your next favorites.

There are movies that you have to see several times just to decide if you like them, and not because they are so complicated or deep, but because they leave you with that weird vibe, like not knowing if you just saw something good or just a studio experiment that worked by chance, that's what happened to me with Constantin, the 2005 film, which I saw again recently with more desire to make sense of the whole mess, the first time I saw it in the cinema years ago I was a bit cold, I don't know if it was because Keanu Reeves has that face that always looks bored of being famous, but the truth is that over the years I ended up liking the movie, although it still has some things that don't convince me but I was still entertained from beginning to end and I have to admit it. Since it starts with the spear of Destiny and the man who seems possessed in Mexico, you already know that this is not going to be an action movie, they added some supernatural horror and even a bit of thriller, the thing with Constantine is that it never feels neither so dark to scare you nor so funny to take it lightly, it moves between those two worlds and at times it seems a weird mix of Marvel mixed with horror movie of the 90s.

Hay películas que uno tiene que ver varias veces solo para decidir si le gusta, y no porque sean tan complicadas o profundas, sino porque te dejan esa vibra rara, como de no saber si acabas de ver algo bueno o solo un experimento de estudio que funcionó medio de casualidad, así me pasó con Constantin, la de 2005, que la volví a ver hace poco con más ganas de encontrarle sentido a todo el enredo, la primera vez que la vi en el cine hace añosss quedé medio fría, no sé si porque Keanu Reeves tiene esa cara de siempre que parece aburrido de ser famoso, pero bueno lo cierto es que con los años me terminó gustando la peli, aunque todavía tenga unas cosas que no me terminan de convencer pero igual me entretuvo de principio a fin y eso hay que reconocerlo. Desde que arranca con el rollo de la lanza esa de la Destino y el man que parece poseído en México, ya uno sabe que esto no va a ser una peli cualquiera de acción, metieron algo de horror sobrenatural y hasta un poco de thriller que le ha sentado bien, el tema con Constantine es que nunca se siente ni tan oscura para asustarte ni tan cómica para tomarla a la ligera, se mueve entre esos dos mundos y a ratos parece una mezcla rara de marvel mezclado con película de terror de los 90.

What I really appreciate is the design of those scenes when they are in hell and everything looks destroyed but without falling into cheap effects, those shots of Los Angeles all rotten are great and the demons have some details that do not look so video game, there the special effects team and director Francis Lawrence got serious and that this movie does not have the technology of today, because they keep you glued even if everything is full of smoke and weirdoes. Another thing that surprised me when I saw the movie again is how they put so many characters in so little time and still most of them remain in the memory, there is the detective Angela played by Rachel Weisz, very well by the way, she keeps the mystery during the whole movie and by the way she plays two roles because she is also her twin sister, which for me was unnecessary but well, that's Hollywood, the plot of the twins serves for Constantine to have an excuse to walk around with a suffering face all the time, What I did like was how they mix the religious with the profane and it's not forced, they seem to be part of the same mess, there is the angel Gabriel played by Tilda Swinton, that woman really steals every scene where she appears, she looks so real that one even believes she is a supernatural being, I don't like her character but that's good, because she is one of those angels sent to bother instead of helping, rarely do you see that in gringo movies, to be honest.

Lo que sí rescato a morir es el diseño de esas escenas cuando están en el infierno y todo se ve destruido pero sin caer en efectos baratos, esas tomas de Los Angeles todo podrido están buenísimas y los demonios tienen algunos detalles que no se ven tan de videojuego, ahí sí el equipo de efectos especiales y el director Francis Lawrence se pusieron serios y eso que esta peli no tiene la tecnología de ahorita, porque te mantienen pegado aunque todo se esté lleno de humo y bichos raros. Otra cosa que me sorprendió al ver la peli otra vez es cómo meten tantos personajes en tan poco tiempo y aún así la mayoría queda en la memoria, está la detective Angela que hace Rachel Weisz, muy bien por cierto, ella mantiene el misterio durante toda la peli y de paso hace dos papeles porque también es su hermana gemela, que para mí fue innecesario pero bueno, así es Hollywood, igual la trama de las gemelas sirve para que Constantine tenga una excusa de andar con cara de sufrimiento todo el rato, lo que sí me gustó fue cómo mezclan lo religioso con lo profano y no es forzado, más bien parecen partes del mismo despelote, está el ángel Gabriel que lo hace Tilda Swinton esa mujer de verdad se roba cada escena donde sale, se ve tan real que uno hasta cree que es un ser sobrenatural, su personaje no me termina de caer bien pero eso es bueno, porque es de esos ángeles mandados a molestar en vez de ayudar, rara vez uno ve eso en pelis gringas la verdad.

The weapons and the action scenes work well, especially the one in the mirror at the beginning and the one in the hospital when everything is turned upside down, here you can see the hand of someone who understands the visuals, but the rhythm is sometimes a bit choppy, like they jump between one thing and another like crazy and you lose the thread of why the characters are in such a mess, but I never got bored.

A Keanu Reeves le queda el papel de tipo perdido y cansado de vivir con todo lo que ha visto, ahora lo del cigarro a cada rato es un detalle que no entiendo cómo no lo sacaron en esa epoca pero bueno, aquí es parte del personaje y hasta le da sentido a la historia especialmente la parte cuando habla con el doctor y le tiran de una que tiene cáncer, eso sí logra hacer que uno hasta le agarre algo de compasión. La relación con Chas el personaje de Shia LaBeouf es de lo más normal, el típico sidekick medio inútil que solo sirve para que Constantine tenga a quien gritarle, pero de vez en cuando cae en gracia, aunque sigo pensando que el final con él no aporta gran cosa, una escena más de relleno que otra cosa. La película es bastante técnica en cuanto a gadgets y herramientas, las balas de oro bendecidas, el encendedor con la imagen de San Benito, los tatuajes raros que se activa tocando las muñecas juntos, todo eso le suma a la mitología de la peli, no lo explican mucho y me gustó ese toque de dejar que uno se imagine el resto, creo que si lo hubieran sobre explicado perdería el encanto. Igual las armas y las escenas de acción funcionan bien sobre todo la del espejo al inicio y la del hospital cuando todo se pone patas arriba, aquí si se ve la mano de alguien que entiende lo visual, pero el ritmo a veces es como cortado, como que saltan entre una cosa y otra a lo loco y uno pierde el hilo de por qué los personajes están metidos en tanto lío, pero igual nunca me aburrió.

The scene where Lucifer appears done by Peter Stormare steals the whole movie, the guy looks more like an insurance salesman than a demon and still scary, he has that presence that can burn everything with just a gesture, that detail of the feet full of black tar, the dirty white suit and the calm voice makes me not forget that sequence easily. What I didn't like is that the movie tries to put so many concepts and mythology in two hours that sometimes I feel that each character has its own separate movie and doesn't manage to connect at all, the idea of hell as a twisted mirror of the real world is great, but one is left wanting to see more of that side and less of the stilted conversations, plus the ending is kind of rushed, it seemed to me that they didn't know how to close all that stuff of celestial and demonic rules and opted for the typical redemption at the last minute. Maybe the closing with Constantine doing the good deed to save Angela's sister works for the character's arc, but the hell and sacrifice scene is a bit forced for my taste.

En cuanto a la historia, aquí sí tengo mis problemas porque aunque pegan bien ese ambiente noir, la trama se enreda con tanta explicación sobre el equilibrio entre los demonios y los ángeles y el bendito trato de no interferir directamente, parece que todos hacen trampa excepto Constantine, pero bueno nada de esto importa realmente porque al final todo se resuelve a puro golpe, agua bendita y cruce de miradas duras. La escena donde aparece Lucifer hecha por Peter Stormare se roba la película completa, el tipo parece más vendedor de seguros que demonio y aún así da miedo, tiene esa presencia de que puede quemar todo con solo un gesto, ese detalle de los pies llenos de brea negra, el traje blanco sucio y la voz calmada hace que no olvide esa secuencia fácilmente. Lo que no me gustó es que la película trata de meter tantos conceptos y mitología en dos horas que a veces siento que cada personaje tiene su propia película aparte y no alcanza a conectar del todo, la idea del infierno como un espejo retorcido del mundo real está genial, pero uno queda con ganas de ver más de ese lado y menos de las conversaciones rebuscadas, además el final es como apurado, me pareicó que no sabían cómo cerrar todo ese rollo de reglas celestiales y demoníacas y optaron por la típica redención a última hora. Igual el cierre con Constantine haciendo el buen acto para salvar la hermana de Angela funciona para el arco del personaje, pero la escena del infierno y el sacrificio queda medio forzada para mi gusto.

In the end Constantine is one of those movies that may not grab you like it did me, but I found that it has the style and personality to stand the test of time, it was never a classic nor is it going to be the best comic book adaptation, but if you look at it as a story with some dr noir, with very good visual scenes and a supernatural world that doesn't take it so seriously you'll have a good time, of course it has its script mistakes and flat acting at times, but it's one of those movies that if you catch it started on TV you'll stay watching it until the end just to see Keanu killing demons with relics and cigarettes hehehehe. My score for Constantine is 7.5/10 more out of affection for the eighties horror details that appear and because few movies nowadays dare with this kind of mix where it looks like nobody knew if they were making serious movies or just a visual excuse to show surprising effects, so recommended if you are looking for something different and don't mind being left with more questions than answers.

Al final Constantine es una de esas películas que puede que no te agarre de una como me pasó a mí, pero me di cuenta de que tiene estilo y personalidad para aguantar el paso del tiempo, nunca fue un clásico ni va a ser la mejor adaptación de cómics, pero si la ves como una historia con algo dr noir, con escenas visuales muy buenas y un mundo sobrenatural que no se lo toma tan en serio te la vas a pasar bien, claro que tiene sus errores de guión y actuaciones planas por momentos, pero es de esas pelis que si la agarras comenzada en la tele fijo te quedas viéndola hasta el final solo por ver a Keanu matando demonios a punta de reliquias y cigarrillos jejeje. Mi puntuación para Constantine es de 7.5/10 más por cariño a los detalles ochenteros de horror que aparecen y porque pocas pelis hoy día se atreven con este tipo de mezclas donde se ve como que nadie sabía si estaba haciendo cine serio o solo una excusa visual para mostrar efectos qe sorprendieran, así que recomendada si tienes ganas de algo diferente y no te importa quedarte con más preguntas que respuestas.
