Source The story structure is actually pretty clever too cause it takes you through different stages of dealing with this apocalypse, starting with Jims complete isolation and confusion when he wakes up to find everyone gone, then moving into survival mode when he meets Selena and Mark who teach him the new rules of staying alive in this nightmare world. Selena is this hardcore survivor who has learned to shut off her emotions cause caring about people will get you killed, she literally takes out her own partner with a machete the moment he gets infected without hesitation, but then you see her slowly opening up again when they meet Frank and Hannah who represent this small pocket of humanity still trying to maintain some normalcy. The themes running through the movie are pretty heavy too, its not just about surviving zombie attacks but about what happens to society when everything falls apart, how quickly people can turn savage or how small acts of kindness become precious in a world gone mad. The infected rage virus works as this metaphor for all the anger and violence that already exists in society, its just been amplified and stripped of any control or reason, and by the third act when they encounter the soldiers you realize that humans without rules or consequences can be just as dangerous as any infected creature.

Source One thing that does show the movies age and budget limitations is the digital video quality which looks pretty rough by todays standards, it was shot on one of those first consumer digital cameras available and you can really tell when you watch it on modern high definition screens, it really took me back to those 2000s home made bootleg DVD when I play it on my 4k monitor, there are those who find it as an artistic choice that adds to the gritty realism but honestly it just looks dated and pixelated now and I love it, dont try to sugar coat it and it just works, especially compared to movies shot on film from the same era that still look crisp today, its one of those technical decisions that seemed innovative at the time but hasnt aged well at all when it comes to new generations, only we who went through all those tech changes would appreciate it. Might be shocking what Im going to say but Cillian Murphy does a decent job as the confused every man thrust into this situation, he was not the star he is now days, he doesnt have a lot of charisma and sometimes you feel like you are just watching things happen to him rather than rooting for him to succeed. Brendan Gleeson is fantastic as Frank the taxi driver who becomes this father figure for the group, bringing everyone together and humor to what could have been a completely random story but unfortunately he doesnt get enough screen time before his character gets wipe out. The movie also has some pacing issues where it drags at certain times especially during the middle part where they are living in Franks apartment building and not much is happening almost like trying to weather the storm kinda moment, I suppose thats realistic since survival would involve a lot of boring waiting around between moments of terror and desperation.

The truth is Smile 2 left me quite disappointed after all the hype they put on it, I was expecting something more similar to the first movie that I liked but this was like a watered down and commercial version that was only made to please the masses without having its own soul. Parker Finn came back as director but it seems like he forgot what made the first part special because here everything seems like it's calculated and predictable as if they brainstormed to decide every scare and plot twist hehehehe. Naomi Scott does her best as Skye Riley but her character is so poorly written that you never connect with her, she's a conceited and narcissistic popstar who is always screaming or crying and I didn't even care about what was happening to her. The movie starts off strong with Kyle Gallner reprising his role as Joel but they kill him off in the first few minutes in a scene that seems more contrived than a natural continuation of the story, it would have been much more interesting to follow his story instead of jumping to this new character who frankly doesn't have half the charisma. That idea of transferring the curse to a celebrity with millions of followers may sound great on paper but the execution falls short because it seems like they're just using it as an excuse to throw in more blood and expensive special effects. The whole fame and media pressure thing is pretty shallow, as if the screenwriters had seen I think they thought that by throwing in a few clichés about the music industry they had enough depth to justify two hours of film and it wasn't like that.

La verdad Smile 2 me dejó bastante decepcionada después de todo el bombo que le metieron por todos lados, yo me esperaba algo mas parecido a la primera película que si me había gustado bastante pero esto fue como una versión aguada y comercial que solo se hizo para complacer a las masas sin tener alma propia. Parker Finn regresó como director pero parece que se le olvidó que fue lo que hizo especial a la primera parte porque aquí todo parece como si está calculado además es predecible como que hicieron una lluvia de ideas para decidir cada susto y cada giro de la trama jejeje. Naomi Scott hace lo que puede como Skye Riley pero su personaje está tan mal escrito que nunca logras conectar con ella, es una popstar engreída y narcisista que siempre está gritando o llorando y la verdad ni me llegó a importar lo qe le pasaba. La película arranca fuerte con Kyle Gallner retomando su papel de Joel pero lo matan a los primeros minutos en una escena que parece más inventada que una continuación natural de la historia, hubiera sido mucho mas interesante seguir su historia en lugar de saltar a este nuevo personaje que francamente no tiene ni la mitad del carisma. Esa idea de trasladar la maldición a una celebridad con millones de seguidores puede sonar uy bien en el papel pero la ejecución se queda corta porque parece que solo lo usan como excusa para meter más sangre y efectos especiales caros. Todo el rollo de la fama y la presión mediática es bastante superficial, como si los guionistas hubieran visto creo wue pensaron que con meter algunos clichés sobre la industria musical ya tenían profundidad suficiente para justificar dos horas de película y no no fue así.

What I liked least about Smile 2 is that they threw out the window all the rules they had left in the first movie, now the entity can do whatever it wants without any logic or consistency. The scares are all the same, people smiling in a creepy way followed by a loud noise that doesn't really scare, you can tell they relied too much on noise to create tension instead of building real atmosphere. The hallucinations are so exaggerated that they lose all the wonder, in the first film there was some doubt about what was real and what wasn't but here everything is so obvious that you never doubt what is going on. Lukas Gage appears as Lewis the drug dealer and although his death is well done to the technical I found it a carbon copy of scenes I had seen before. The obsession with the blessed Voss water bugged me after the tenth time you see her drinking the stuff, enough is enough they put it in the soup. Drew Barrymore shows up playing herself in the show and while I thought it was funny for a few seconds, it was also like unnecessary filler that gave nothing to the main story. Ray Nicholson as Paul Hudson the dead boyfriend is okay but his character exists only to justify Skye's trauma.

Lo que menos me gustó de Smile 2 es que tiraron por la ventana todas las reglas que habían dejado en la primera película, ahora la entidad puede hacer lo que se le de la gana sin ninguna lógica o consistencia. Los sustos son todos iguales, gente sonriendo de manera creepy seguido de un ruido fuerte que no asusta de verdad, se nota que dependieron mucho del ruido para crear tensión en lugar de construir atmosfera de verdad. Las alucinaciones están tan exageradas que pierden todo el asombro, en la primera película había cierta duda sobre lo que era real y que no pero aquí todo es tan obvio que nunca dudas de lo que está pasando. Lukas Gage aparece como Lewis el repartidor de drogas y aunque su muerte está bien hecha a lo técnico me pareció una copia de papel carbón de escenas que ya había visto antes. La obsesión con la bendita agua Voss ya me fastidió después de la décima vez que la ves bebiendo esa cosa, ya fue suficiente la metieron hasta en la sopa. Drew Barrymore aparece haciendo de ella misma en el show y aunque me pareció divertido por unos segundos, también fue como relleno innecesario que no le dio nada a la historia principal. Ray Nicholson como Paul Hudson el novio muerto está bien pero su personaje existe solo para justificar el trauma de Skye.

The worst problem Smile 2 has is that it doesn't respect the audience's intelligence, everything is explained ad nauseum as if we were five year olds who can't understand a hidden meaning. The mother manager played by Rosemarie DeWitt is the typical adult character who doesn't understand and only serves to create conflict which by the way is quite artificial and is only there for when the story gets slow. Dylan Gelula as Gemma the best friend also doesn't have much to do other than show up when the script needs someone to tell Skye that she is acting weird, these characters are definitely obligatory filler instead of real people that exist in the world of the movie. Peter Jacobson shows up as Morris the guy who supposedly knows how to break the curse but that whole subplot comes later and to me it was that they realized too late that they needed to give us some kind of hope so it wouldn't be so depressing. The scene in the abandoned Pizza Hut is ridiculous and it's clear they shot it on a cheap set, all the tension they had built up is lost when you realize you're watching actors pretending to be scared in a place that is obviously fake. Miles Gutierrez Riley as Joshua the assistant is there to make bad jokes and be the comic relief but what he says is so poorly written that I felt sorry for him. The soundtrack also hit it because it tries to sound like real pop music but you can tell it's very generic, Skye Riley's songs don't sound like something that would be in the first place I felt it lacked some personality.

El peor problema que tiene Smile 2 es que no respeta la inteligencia del público, todo está explicado hasta el cansancio como si fuéramos niños de cinco años que no podemos entender un significado oculto. La madre manager interpretada por Rosemarie DeWitt es el típico personaje de adulto que no entiende y que solo sirve para crear conflicto que por cierto es bastante artificial y solo está para cuando la historia se pone lenta. Dylan Gelula como Gemma la mejor amiga tampoco tiene mucho que hacer mas que aparecer cuando el guión necesita que alguien le diga a Skye que está actuando raro, estos personajes son definitivaente un relleno obligatorio en lugar de personas reales que existen en el mundo de la película. Peter Jacobson aparece como Morris el tipo que supuestamente sabe como romper la maldición pero toda esa subtrama aprece después y para mi fue que se dieron cuenta muy tarde que necesitaban darnos algún tipo de esperanza para que no fuera tan deprimente. La escena en el Pizza Hut abandonado es ridícula y se ve claramente que la filmaron en un set barato, toda la tensión que habían construido se pierde cuando te das cuenta que estás viendo actores fingiendo estar asustados en un lugar que obviamente es fake. Miles Gutierrez Riley como Joshua el asistente está ahí para hacer chistes malos y ser el alivio cómico pero lo que dice está tan mal escrito que me dio pena ajena. El soundtrack también la pegó porque trata de sonar como música pop real pero se nota que es muy genérico, las canciones de Skye Riley no suenan como algo que estaría en primer lugar me pareció que le faltaba algo de personalidad.

The special effects are way overdone they look like a cpmiquita each demon transformation is more exaggerated than the last until you lose all sense of dread and start laughing at how absurd it all looks. The final scene at the concert was supposed to be the climax but it feels out of place because by that point I had seen so many fake hallucinations that it didn't matter if it was real or not. The message about trauma and mental health is watered down, they try to touch on serious issues like addiction and abuse but they do it in such a superficial way it didn't feel genuine to me. I also think they abuse too much of the reverse shots that by the way had already become cliché since the first movie, every time they turn the camera I knew a cheap scare was coming and although the pace was decent I felt that the movie lasted thirty minutes longer than necessary, there are too many subplots that go nowhere and characters that appear and disappear for no reason. Another thing is that the environment should look dark, dirty and rather it looks too clean and produced, I didn't believe I was in a real world but it looked like an expensive movie set.

Los efectos especiales están muy sobrecargados parecen una cpmiquita cada transformación del demonio es mas exagerada que la anterior hasta que pierdes toda sensación de terror y empiezas a reírte de lo absurdo que se ve todo. La escena final en el concierto se suponía que iba a ser el lo maximo pero se siente fuera de lugar porque ya para ese punto había visto tantas alucinaciones falsas que no importaba si era real o no. El mensaje sobre trauma y salud mental está diluido, intentan tocar temas serios como la adicción y el abuso pero lo hacen de manera tan superficial la verdad no me pareció que fuera algo genuino. Además creo que abusan demasiado de los planos invertidos que por cierto ya se habían vuelto cliché desde la primera película, cada vez que voltean la cámara ya sabíua que venía un susto barato y aunque el ritmo decente sentí que la película duró treinta minutos mas de lo necesario, hay demasiadas subtramas que no van a ningún lado y personajes que aparecen y desaparecen sin ninguna razón. Otra cosa es que el ambiente debería verse como oscuro, sucio y más bien se ve demasiado limpio y producido, no me creía que estaba en un mundo real sino que parecía un set de película cara.

I think Smile 2 is an unnecessary sequel it seems to me that it exists only because the first one made money and not because they had an interesting story to tell or something new to bring to the table. Although Parker Finn proved with the first one that he had potential as a horror director here I don't know if it was that others got in too deep and didn't let him do his job well but the result was a movie that is nothing special. My score is 6/10 I think it's a step backwards compared to what they achieved in 2022, I hope if they make a third part they go back to the roots of what made this franchise work in the first place. It's a shame because the concept of expanding the curse through a massive concert had potential but they wasted it on expensive special effects and over the top performances that don't look real. If you like cheap scares and don't care that the movie makes sense maybe it will amuse or entertain you for a while otherwise I recommend you watch something else, I was really looking for something with more substance and more when I liked the first movie.

Yo creo que Smile 2 es una secuela innecesaria me parece que existe solo porque la primera hizo dinero y no porque tuvieran una historia interesante que contar o algo nuevo que aportar. Auqnue Parker Finn demostró con la primera que tenía potencial como director de terror aquí no sé si fue que otros metieorn demasiado la mano y no lo dejaron hacer bien su trabajo pero el resultado fue una película que np tiene nada de especial. Mi puntuación es 6/10 creo que es un paso atrás comparado con lo que lograron en 2022, espero que si hacen una tercera parte regresen a las raíces de lo que hacía funcionar esta franquicia en primer lugar. Es una lástima porque el concepto de expandir la maldición a través de un concierto masivo tenía potencial pero lo desperdiciaron en efectos especiales caros y actuaciones exageradas que no se ven reales. Si te gustan los sustos baratos y no te importa que la película tenga sentido tal vez te divierta o te entretenga por un tiempo sino te recomiendo que veas otra cosa, yo la verdad estaba buscando algo con más sustancia y más cuando la primera película si me gustó.

Hace días se estrenó La Peor Película del 2025, "War of the Worlds", producción original de Amazon Prime Video; la cual es el tercer film basado en la novela de ciencia-ficción escrita por H. G. Wells en 1898 y en esta oportunidad la historia es relatada desde el punto de vista de "Will Radford" un agente del Departamento de Seguridad de los Estados Unidos, quien también a la par de sus importantes funciones está el de ser padre, aunque ese no es su mejor trabajo, ya que la relación sobreprotectora hacía sus dos hijos genera una relación distante y conflictiva; todo lo antes descrito tendrá suma importancia para la historia porque de manera inesperada, La Tierra es víctima de una invasión alienígena lo cual hará que un hombre encargado de la vigilancia de la nación americana deba salvar al mundo, pero principalmente salvar a sus hijos.

Desde el primer instante que vi el tráiler de esta película, era sumamente notorio que sería una muy mala, aunque la idea en que la historia estuviera relatada desde el punto de vista de un hombre que justamente ve el mundo desde el monitor de su computadora usando redes sociales, canales de noticias, camaras de vigilancia, drones y satélites, no la encuentro para nada mal aunque eso sí, es para nada original por lo ya visto en otros filmes como "Searching" (2018) y "Missing" (2023); mi opinión o la definición que di de esta producción al ver minutos de promoción, era con respecto a lo pobre la producción y las malas actuaciones, una mezcla que pude confirmar al momento de ver está película con una duración de mucho más de una hora.

Está no será la primera y última producción que usa "War of the Worlds" como base para algún relato en dónde la humanidad y su actuación sea los principales protagonistas al enfrentar un evento catastrófico; el problema de esta película es que justamente el desarrollo de su historia es lo más pobre que he visto en los últimos años, los diálogos y la resolución de muchos de los eventos que ocurren son risorios, nada emocionantes y justamente es eso lo que actualmente está atrayendo a muchas personas a ver está película lo cual posiblemente la conviertan en un film de culto por lo mala que es.

Prime Video's War of the Worlds is the worst movie of the year. Forget about any other production; nothing can beat this poor story that tries to cover science fiction, family drama, government conspiracy, action, and suspense. It fails in all those areas and only succeeds in generating memes and using the poor acting of Ice Cube to gain relevance and encourage the audience to watch this disaster. Despite all that, as I tried to finish watching this movie, I couldn't help thinking that this bad production had the potential to be a comedy and make the audience laugh at the absurdity of it all. Nous sommes toujours sur Netflix pour ce film américain, d'une durée d'1h39 et classé dans la catégorie comédie romantique. Il est disponible depuis février 2025.

Synopsis :

Eric (Scott Foley), homme d'affaires américain, se rend en Italie, plus précisément en Toscane. Sa fille Olivia (Maia Reficco) a, en effet, décidé de s'y installer. Olivia souhaite profiter de l'offre des villas à 1 euro, dont on a beaucoup entendu parler. En Italie, des villages, reculés et abandonnés par les jeunes partis étudier et travailler dans les grandes villes, ont décidé de ramener du monde dans ces villages, en proposant les vieilles maisons délaissées à 1 euro, à condition d'y effectuer les travaux de rénovation nécessaires assez rapidement et d'en faire sa résidence principale.

Olivia est décidée, elle doit incessamment rencontrer la maire du village pour visiter les villas mises en vente. Eric arrive juste à temps pour commencer les visites.

Eric essaye de convaincre sa fille de renoncer à cette folie. Toutes ses économies pourraient y passer. Il la laissera pourtant faire ses preuves, après avoir appris pourquoi elle le faisait.

Il ira même jusqu'à prolonger son séjour, en travaillant à distance. Comment résister au charme de l'Italie (et de ses habitants) ?

Mon avis et petites infos :

Tout ne se déroule pas comme prévu dans nos vies, c'est d'ailleurs rarement le cas ! Décider de changer de vie, c'est un gros pari .. décider de changer de pays, c'est, déjà en soi, un fameux défi .. Mieux vaut se préparer un minimum, au moment où c'est envisagé.

Il y en a pour qui tout réussit et c'est tant mieux pour eux, cela fait de jolies histoires à raconter, même s'il y a toujours quelques obstacles, comme dans ce film. Il suffit parfois d'oser, mais j'ai bien dit "parfois".

J'aime beaucoup la Toscane et je me suis souvenue d'un autre film "Sous le Soleil de Toscane", qui est dans le même style.

Ce sont des films agréables à regarder, qui donnent de l'espoir et qui font réfléchir : "Est-ce qu'on oserait, nous, nous lancer dans ce genre d'aventures ?" Pas sur un coup de tête en tout cas. Nous aurions trop peur de perdre le peu que nous avons.

A propos des acteurs, Scott Foley ne m'est pas inconnu. Je l'ai aperçu dans des bandes annonces de séries tv comme Scandal, Dawson, The Unit, Grey's Anatomy, True Blood, .. il joue aussi dans Scream 3. Je ne connais pas (encore) les autres acteurs.

Si vous n'avez pas vu ce film et que vous cherchez quelque chose d'agréable, sans prise de tête, pour passer un bon moment, je vous conseille chaleureusement ce film.

Bring Her Back is one of a the most effective and unsettling horror films I’ve seen in years. The kind of film that doesn’t just settle for scares, but instead gets under your skin and stays there, forcing you to confront uncomfortable ideas long after the theater lights come up—that's exactly what I look for when I want to watch something powerful. The modern "horror" landscape is, frankly, quite dull and full of clichés (when has it not been?), and I think we're finally moving past the wave of "evil hauntings, evil revelations, evil dolls, etc." It’s hard for a skeptical mind to take films seriously when they’re about things that don't exist, like ghosts. But Bring Her Back doesn't necessarily escape this; however, what undoubtedly sets it apart is exactly how the story is told and the elements present within it. The film is directed by brothers Danny and Michael Philippou, who had already shown immense talent in Talk to Me (which I haven't seen, but have heard great things about).

Horror cinema has been undergoing a remarkable transformation, largely driven by the A24 studio. The company has become synonymous with a type of film that uses fear not as an end in itself, but as a lens to examine complex human dramas. And you know what I love most about them? They're probably the biggest champions of "daylight horror" and that commands respect! Making a horror film in broad daylight is far more serious and confident than taking refuge in eternal shadows. I can only thank these people who are finally making movies you can actually see. It's absolutely awful when films have dark scenes, and some films are entirely dark. A24 consistently supports auteur visions and stories that prioritize character psychology and the construction of a dreadful atmosphere over relying on cheap scares. Hereditary, The Witch, Pearl, Beau is Afraid, and Midsommar are all examples of how the studio has given horror (and those films that are hard to define) the space to explore themes like grief, fanaticism, psychosis, pagan cultures, and trauma in profound ways. Bring Her Back fits perfectly into this legacy, and it may be the most brutal and focused example of them all.

The story begins with a situation already fraught with pain: teenage siblings Andy and little Piper, who is blind, are left in the care of a foster mother, Laura, played by Sally Hawkins. Laura is also living through a deep grief over the loss of her own daughter. What could be a story about healing and the formation of a new family quickly turns into a psychological nightmare. The Philippous' direction is impeccable in its ability to build tension. They use the camera in a way that makes us accomplices, forcing us to witness Laura's manipulation.

The pillar that supports the film is Sally Hawkins' extraordinary performance. Known for sweet and vulnerable roles, her casting is a masterstroke. She uses this audience expectation against us, slowly revealing the monstrosity hiding behind a fragile facade. Hawkins' Laura is no cartoon villain. She is a woman whose pain has completely consumed her, turning her love into a destructive obsession. The most frightening part is how believable she makes this journey, showing us glimpses of the real agony that fuels her terrible actions. In short, despite the absurdities, perhaps those of you who are parents can understand the path of mental deterioration from grief that would lead her to these fateful decisions.

The third act of Bring Her Back is where the film truly shows its courage. The expectation of a grand confrontation with a demonic entity, common in the genre, is brilliantly subverted. The ritual Laura performs doesn't open a portal to hell in the traditional sense. By summoning a demon to handle the logistics of a soul swap (taking her daughter's spirit from a slowly decomposing frozen body and placing it into her new adopted daughter), she uses an innocent little boy who is gradually degraded and corrupted by evil forces. He becomes a kind of puppet for the beast, an insatiable creature constantly battling its own hunger. This leads to the best scenes, like when he tries at all costs to eat a knife (in close-up) and when, unsatisfied by the vicious bite he takes out of Laura, he proceeds to eat a piece of the countertop, unbothered by the cost of having his teeth ground down by the hard wood.

All in all, the experience of Bring Her Back was a breath of fresh air that I hadn’t felt in these bloody genres since Pearl, and perhaps have never seen before in terms of the quality and detail in its technique of gore and discomfort. It has a bit of everything, and as we know all too well, the pain of grief can lead us to very dark places within ourselves. What a beautiful surprise this film was! As soon as I can, I'm going to watch Talk to Me, from the same directors, which some even say is better. If you appreciate well-crafted, adult cinema, definitely give this one a watch!

Faça ela voltar ou Bring Her Back é um dos filmes de horror mais eficazes e perturbadores que vi em muitos anos. Esse tipo de obra que não se contenta em assustar, mas que se infiltra na mente e permanece ali, nos forçando a confrontar ideias desconfortáveis muito tempo depois que as luzes do cinema se acendem é exatamente o que eu procuro quando quero assistir algo poderoso. O repertório de "terror" do mundo moderno é deveras chato, cheio de clichés (e quando não foi?) e acho que finalmente estamos passando da onda "assombrações do mal, revelações do mal, bonecas do mal, etc". É muito difícil abstrair-se da seriedade cética assistindo filmes que ficam falando sobre coisas que não existem (fantasmas, etc). Mas Bring her back não necessariamente foge disso, porém, sem dúvidas o diferencial é exatamente como a história é contada, e os elementos presentes ali. O filme é dirigido pelos irmãos Danny e Michael Philippou, que já haviam demonstrado um talento imenso em Fale Comigo (que eu não vi, mas ouvi falar muito bem).

O cinema de horror tem passado por uma transformação notável, em grande parte impulsionada pelo estúdio A24. A empresa se tornou sinônimo de um tipo de filme que usa o medo não como um fim em si mesmo, mas como uma lente para examinar dramas humanos complexos e sabe o que eu mais gosto neles? É que são provavelmente os maiores propagadores do "daylight horror movies" e isso é de se ter respeito! Fazer filme de horror em plena luz do dia é muito mais sério e confiante do que refugiar-se na eterna penumbra, eu só tenho a agradecer a essa gente que finalmente está fazendo filme que dá pra enxergar. É totalmente péssimo filme com cenas escuras e tem filmes que são inteiramente escuros. O A24 consistentemente apoia visões autorais e histórias que priorizam a psicologia dos personagens e a construção de uma atmosfera de pavor, em vez de depender de sustos fáceis. Hereditário, A Bruxa, Pearl, Beau is Afraid, Midsommar são exemplos de como o estúdio deu espaço para o horror (e esses filmes que não tem como definir muito bem) explorar temas como luto, fanatismo, psicose, culturas pagãs e trauma de formas profundas. O terceiro ato de Bring Her Back é onde o filme realmente mostra sua coragem. A expectativa de um grande confronto com uma entidade demoníaca, comum em filmes do gênero, é subvertida de forma brilhante. O ritual que Laura executa não abre um portal para o inferno nos moldes tradicionais; ao invocar um demônio para fazer a logística de troca de alma (tirar o espírito da filha que está no corpo congelado em decomposição lenta e coloca-lo na nova filha adotiva) ela utiliza-se de um garotinho inocente que é pouco a pouco degradado e deturpado pelas forças do mal tornando-se uma espécie de fantoche da besta, uma criatura insaciável que luta contra a fome o tempo todo e trás as melhores cenas como quando tenta a todo custo comer uma faca (em close) e quando insatisfeito pela mordida violenta que dá em Laura, ainda come um pedaço da bancada sem incomodar-se com o custo de ter seus dentes moídos pela madeira dura demais.

Enfim, a experiência de Bring her back me deu um frescor que eu não via desde Pearl nesses gêneros sanguinolentos e provavelmente não havia visto até hoje em qualidade e detalhismo na técnica do "gore" e do desconforto. Tem um pouco de tudo aqui e como sabemos bem, a dor do luto leva para cantos muito obscuros dentro de nós mesmos. Que bela surpresa foi esse filme! Assim que possível eu vou para o Talk to me, dos mesmos diretores, que parece inclusive ser até melhor, para alguns. Se você gosta de cinema bem feito e adulto, vai firme nesse daqui!

I'm convinced that this is one of the most underrated movies in the cartoon industry. I saw a clip when I was surfing YouTube, and it just made me smile watching it. Even without taping on the clip yet, I could remember vividly and tell that it was Spirit. I found this gem around the year 2007; I was still pretty small. I always saw the CD in the movie stack at home, but I didn't pay attention to it until one day, I got bored and saw that I had seen almost all the movies in the stack except that particular one, so I decided to try it out. (One of the best decisions I've ever made). I really hope there are people here that would still remember this gem. I want to talk about itttt.

Let's Gist About this Cartoon Movie

You might have been wondering what this cartoon movie entails when you saw the title 'Spirit' Don't be scared; it's not about ghosts. Spirit teaches us more about having grit to keep pushing. This is a story of a herd of horses whose home got invaded by humans. There is a stallion who did everything in his power to stop the humans from capturing his family. On the verge of defending his home and fighting off the humans valiantly, he got captured. I still remember that scene with the soundtrack; it was brilliant but yet heartbreaking. The humans took him to the camp where other horses that they had captured were kept. This stallion had a tenacious spirit; no matter how much the men in the stables tried to break his spirit so they could ride him, he remained strong and didn't allow any of them climb his back. I remember a funny scene where the boss of the camp wanted to break him; the Stallion threw him and embarrassed him, lol. The stallion got punished after that hilarious moment though; he wasn't given food and water.

During his isolation from the other horses, he met a man who was imprisoned by them too. This stallion and the man became friends and eventually escaped together. I was thinking the new relationship between them would give the stallion a soft heart to let the man he escaped with ride him, but alas, he didn't LOL. The stallion was ever adamant. It took a long time before he gained the trust of the stallion to be able to ride him. As the story continued, the stallion met a female horse whom he fell in love with. The love between them almost got me a bit jealous, LOL. However, the story took a U-turn when the pursuers from early in the series tracked them and tried to capture them again. The female horse got shot, I can't remember vividly if she died; it's been years since I watched it. I might have to rewatch it again and update you guys later in the comment section. Although I remember the scene as really heartbreaking.

The stallion and man fought for their freedom and won it. That was one of the few underrated and epic cartoon movies I saw as a child. It really taught me to have a strong spirit and never give up.

I have been away from Hive because I was busy with schoolwork and was really depressed about life, but when I saw the clip of the movie, I remembered the vitality it gave as a child, and I just decided to take time to write this post. I really enjoyed writing this and don't regret using the time I should be using to study for my exams to write this LOL. Well, I guess I'd have to burn the midnight oil to compensate for the lost time.

It's funny and crazy how I was supporting a horse instead of my fellow human in this movie. It turns out that I wouldn't be a fan of animal cruelty. LOL

So finally, the second season of the Wednesday series has been released. You all must have been waiting for it for a long time. But here's a twist: only Part One has been released. This means only four episodes have been released. There are a total of eight episodes. The remaining four episodes will come out on September 3. This means you’ll have to wait for about a month, which is a bit frustrating.

But let’s talk about what we get to see in it without any spoilers. You must have seen in the trailer that our main heroine, Wednesday, is having some very strange dreams in which she sees her friend dying. So her one mission in this entire series is to save her friend from dying, no matter what.

But when you watch the four episodes, you’ll forget that she wants to save her friend from dying. Because in the series, you’ll see many different stories and many different plots. You’ll see a lot of different things that are quite interesting and enjoyable to watch. Because of this, your attention shifts from that plot to all the other things, like, okay, what will this corpse do now? Okay, what will she do now? Okay, what will he do now? These kinds of things start running through your mind.

So this series won’t confuse you. But yes, all these things together shift the focus a bit from the main plot. But just when the focus is about to return, the way the series has been ended, on that cliffhanger, it feels like the series was designed very thoughtfully, and the decision to keep four episodes was also taken very carefully. Because of the cliffhanger where the series ends, now we just want to know what happens next, and for that, we’ll have to wait a month helplessly.

After that, we’ll see what happens next. Because of this, many people will feel frustrated, but we can’t do anything about it. But for now, I’ll say it’s been a very enjoyable experience. These four episodes have been quite enjoyable. But yes, don’t watch it while eating. You’ll see some very disgusting things.

If you’ve watched Season One, you’d know. In Season One, there was more focus on that academy, that school, Nevermore. But in Season Two, there’s focus on our main heroine, Wednesday, her family, her legacy, and all those things, which feel really good to watch, and all the other subplots together make the series a very enjoyable experience.

So for now, I’ll say that if you’re a huge die-hard fan of this series, do one thing: wait. Don’t watch these four episodes now. When all the episodes come out together on September 3, watch all the episodes together; it’ll be more fun. Because if you start watching now, you’ll feel a bit frustrated about what happens next. But if you watch at that time, you can watch all of them at once and complete it. This will make your experience even better.

So if you want, you can watch all the episodes together. And if you can’t control yourself, you can watch these four as well. I really liked the story of this series. The way different subplots have been added, even if it distracts our mind a bit from what’s going to happen in the main plot, it’s still a lot of fun.

Visually, the series is quite stunning. The new ways in which Netflix’s logos are shown also look great. In terms of production budget, there doesn’t seem to be any lack. There’s no flaw in its actors either. Whenever Wednesday appears, even in the biggest situations, her face is such that it deflates the other person, and they come back to their place. These things look really good to watch.

So for me, this series has been a very enjoyable experience, and I’d say to you, if you can wait, do wait. Watch all the episodes together on September 3. If you can’t, then go watch this series now. It’ll be a lot of fun. You can’t watch it with family because, at the start of the series, you’ll see a couple kissing passionately, and there are kissing scenes throughout the movie.

So for this reason, you can’t watch it with family, but if you can, go ahead and watch it, but I wouldn’t suggest watching it with family or while eating. You might feel like vomiting while eating. So keeping all these things in mind, you can go watch this series now or wait.

I don’t want to give this series a rating for now. I’ll watch the remaining four episodes first, and then I’ll give my final word. For now, it’s been a very enjoyable series that you should definitely watch.

I know it has been a while since my last movie review post. That does not mean I have not been watching movies; on the contrary, I have gone back to watch some old classics I still find funny in today's world.

Recently, I have discovered that I am beginning to find comfort in watching comedy movies, especially late at night, as it puts a smile on my face before bed. I know it might sound clichéd, but it even helps add some beauty to late-night dreams while keeping nightmares away.

First on my list was Happy Gilmore 2. I have to add that there is still room for improvement on Netflix when it comes to comedy movies, as there are only a handful of them. Only a few funny Kelvin Hart movies, and even my favourite comedy actor, Adam Sandler, has only grown-ups and a few others on Netflix. I suspect that is the reason for Netflix's recent shift into making more movies, as they are trying to widen the scope of movies they have on their platform. Hence, the making of Happy Gilmore 2.

For those who do not know it yet, Happy Gilmore is a 1998 comedy classic starring Adam Sandler as Happy Gilmore, a hockey player with some pretty short temper issues, which leads to his disqualification from playing the sport of hockey after a physical confrontation on the hockey field.

Here is the funny thing, one would think that is the end for Happy, but it is only the beginning, as new information about his Grandma's house getting seized by the mortgage bank if she doesn't pay off her long overdue mortgage debt comes to light. In the desperate attempt to raise cash for his grandma, Happy ventures into golf when he sees how big the prize money is.

I must confess that what grabbed my interest in watching Happy Gilmore was the scene of how he hates it when people are slow, which reminds me of the blog story I read about a man beating his opponent on the golf course because he was wasting too much time. In chess, it's like giving your opponent a hot slap for thinking too much and wasting too much time when it is already a mate in one, and there is nothing he can do. No doubt that if it happens, it will be on the blogs of chess news.

In a nutshell, Happy Gilmore 2 is all based on Happy coming back to golf after years of not playing, just so he can raise money for his daughter to go to ballet school in Paris, which costs $300,000. The comedy in this movie is not only about happy moments, but the entire character in general, especially Shooter McGavin. If that is not enough to get you to watch the movie, just know that a bunch of stars like Eminem, Post Malone, and many more are playing funny roles. Happy Gilmore 2 brought in about 43 million views on the first day, and I am sure it must have gone up because I did not watch it on the first day.

After watching Happy Gilmore, I felt it would not be bad to watch another Adam Sandler movie. This time, a classic as well, and it was Don't Mess with the Zohan. It is a 2008 movie that talks about how a counter terrorist soldier fakes his death and runs away to America to chase his dream of cutting hair.

Although I watched the Zohan movie years ago, it was nice to watch it again, but this time I understood the inside jokes better. If you are looking for a comedy classic to watch over the coming weekend, you can never go wrong with a Sandler movie.

🩸 Anime Review ~ Demon Slayer: A Dance of Grief, Vengeance, and Flame

Hello everyone, I hope you're doing well. Today, I’m bringing you one of the most visually stunning and emotionally charged anime ever made. It’s an anime where pain fuels purpose, love fuels vengeance, and every swing of the sword carries a memory too heavy to forget.

At first glance, Demon Slayer might seem like just another samurai-meets-demon fantasy. But trust me, this story dives much deeper than that. It’s about holding on when everything is taken from you. It’s about what it means to protect something — or someone — even when you have nothing left. This is the world of Tanjiro Kamado — and it hurts to watch, but you won’t be able to look away.
