  1. Movie recommendation: Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron.@fieryfootprints573d

I hope that I have not written about this movie yet. I said that Major Payne was a movie from my childhood. The same can be said about this movie as well. It is a story about adventures and struggles of an unexpected hero- A stallion. The story begins with stallion mother giving birth to a baby horse. That baby horse(our brave, curious and strong hero) quickly grows up into a fine young mustang. He becomes the leader of the herd. He spends his time playing with other stallions and fighting of threats to his friends. After some time he encounters new weird animals who walk on two feet and consider themselves rulers of the world- he meets with humans. More specifically with US cavalry. He is captured and meets with his greatest nemesis yet- Colonel. Colonel wants to break the stallion's spirit and tame him. In order to do that he orders that stallion would not be given any food or water. But stallion will remains strong and he escapes with another prisoner of soldiers: Lakota named Little Creek. After that stallion and Little Creek becomes friends but stallion still doesn't let anyone ride him. Stallion falls in love with a mare of Little Creek. After a while Little Creek sets them both free. It seems that a mare intends to go with stallion but at that time US cavalry attacks Lakota village. Mare rushes back to save her master Little Creek. She is woonded and seamingly dying. She is wounded and seemingly dying. After that the stallion was captured again and forced to drag trains with other horses. After some time stallion is rescued by Little Creek who followed him. The colonel and his men chases Stallion but he and Little Creek makes an insane jump and lands on the other side. One of the soldiers wants to shoot the Stallion but Colonel stops him. Stallion and Little Creek have both earned their freedom. After that Stallion and Mare(who also survived) travels back to his herd and live free.

For me this was an inspiring story telling that a stubborn enough individual can accomplish great things. Years later the same lesson was retold by Spartacus and even later by Guts from Berserk. But Stallion of the Cimarron was probably the first time I saw that lesson on tv. And to this day this movie seems kinda special to me.

    fuente/https://blizzarradas.blogspot.com

Hello my dear friends and movie lovers, today it is time to review a classic animated film from Dream Works Animation in 2002.

    fuente/https://blizzarradas.blogspot.com

The ensemble cast of the animated production was represented by Matt Damon who gave his voice to the steed and by James Cronwell who played the role of the villain in the story.

    fuente/en.m.wikipedia.org

Its soundtrack was made by the musician Bryan Adams if the same who made classic songs like Everthing i do and I really love you woman the latter was featured in the film Don Juan de Marco of Jhonny Depp and Marlon Brandon which we will talk about later. I really love you woman

What I liked most about the film in general were its landscapes and wonderful scenes which were set with the wonderful soundtrack that reflected moments of tension and joy and also many tears. I don't have a favorite scene because each one reflected and left wonderful memories of my childhood when we were not yet completely dominated by technology.

Every minute of the film was unique and each animation sequence showed the dedication and detail that the splendid work group knew how to dedicate. Hence its success on the big screen. It is a pity that the story is a little short, but it is worth watching it in the company of the little ones at home who will surely identify with the curious and indomitable steed that achieved his freedom in spite of his obstacles.

So for those who have not yet enjoyed the delivery that I just shared, I recommend that you do not stop looking for it to see it in the company of your children or younger siblings and I assure you that it will be an unforgettable pleasant time.

  3. "Let my spirit carry me"- Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron (2002). (ENG/ESP).@divinojupiter1000d

A story with an animation that takes us back to those golden ages of childhood for many, that stands out for its music, the nature it shows and for its ideals; a film with a simple narrative that shines for the complexity of its message; that is "Spirit: The Untamed Jail". When I first encountered this film, I was just a child, and yet it made such a deep impression on me that it is still a film I remember and admire to this day. The story of Spirit is one of those that you can watch again no matter how many years go by, because its message simply doesn't get old.

Our introduction to this story comes from two very important voices: the voice of Spirit himself, which in its original language (English) is dubbed by Matt Damon (Good Will Hunting; Saving Private Ryan) and by the musical voice, which thanks to Hanz Zimmer (The Lion King; Gladiator; Pearl Harbor) in collaboration with Bryan Adams, are responsible for conveying all the anger, helplessness and desire for freedom of our protagonist, the mustang horse Spirit. After witnessing his birth, Spirit places us in a meadow where all his experiences, sorrows and pains take place. It is to see the scenario in which we are already accustomed to see the cowboys with their stories of the old west, but with the protagonist that until now had gone unnoticed: the horse.

After his birth, Spirit, who lives with other horses, realizes that they are not alone in this magnificent piece of land, because he also lives with humans who do not have the best interests, who care very little about the freedom of a horse if they can take it for their benefit. Curiosity leads Spirit to experience hard times that violate anyone's will, but what difference does it make that the hero does not become a hero until he he heeds his call, even if his path seems like hell. Thus, the indomitable Spirit falls into the hands of an American cavalry, where the colonel in command tries to tame him after all the failed attempts of his subordinates.

I consider that this scene not only perfectly summarizes what I mentioned before, about how the music gives voice to our protagonist in a film where there is very little dialogue, but it also pits Spirit against his antagonist and rather than the latter being a jailer, this pair just have a very different concept of freedom for each other; for Spirit it is being indomitable and loyal to your ideals, but in the case of the colonel, freedom comes from power, from being in a position where you can subdue.

Now, here we have two very different human personalities, as we meet Little Creek, of the Lakota tribe, who is also a prisoner of the general's lust for dominance and power. Little Creek is all the counterpart you might expect: a lover of his land, of his animals, of his people, of his origin, and above all, a lover of the freedom of every living thing that dwells there. Of course, at first for Spirit there will be no difference from one human to another, but Little Brook will gain his respect and trust, and together they will join forces to get out of the confinement imposed by the colonel.

There are current animated films with captivating stories and wonderful animations, eccentric or simple, because for all tastes there are all kinds of content, but despite falling into the cliché I consider the formula of this film is unrepeatable, and is full of memorable scenes that stay with you over the years, for its ingenuity in conveying their messages: Loyalty, love for nature and living beings, the dark side of humanity, the violence of the hand of weapons, and also for showing us that in healthy coexistence and respecting the value of every living being, human and animal can coexist. I have not seen a film like this one nowadays, but perhaps that is also the point of creating and building a story, to make it in such a way that there is no room for comparisons. I invite you to remember it if you have already seen it, or to be impressed if you haven't, by Spirit's life in his struggle to take care of one of the most valuable and precious things in the world: freedom.

  4. CineTV Contest: Movie That Represents Winning: Spirit Stallion of the Cimarron / Spirit: el corcel indomable@santiago-yocoy1296d
    image.png
    https://peakd.com/hive-121744/@cinetv/cine-tv-contest-41-movie-that-represents-winning

    Introduction

The film is about the life of the horse Spirit, from his birth in a herd of horses on the prairies of the American West, through his capture and his quest for freedom and returning home to his herd.

It is narrated by Spirit himself with a voiceover and songs and instrumental music describing his emotions, and his behaviors are equine but with human-equivalent emotions and intentions, with a great display of these especially through the animation of his eyes.

    Winning freedom

The parallel to human reality is very obvious in this film and so can easily resonate strongly with anyone.

The history of mankind has been and still is the story of a group of free or wanna-be free people against the group of slaveholders or wanna-be slaveholders; between the peaceful ones who just want to live and let live against those who want to live and impose their desired way of living on others by force.

Spirit is a free being, a horse who tells his story as a human although his animation is perfectly equine (great animation by Dreamworks). With him we see how his happy life in freedom with his family and friends is taken away from him by different groups that he will resist with all his might, which even inspires the horses that had already surrendered. We also see how he does not simply want to change from more violent masters to kinder ones, such as changing from being a horse of the military to being a horse of the Indians, something that other horses that Spirit helped to free do accept; he does not want a tranquil servitude, but freedom in the open, even if he himself has to face a lion to defend his herd.

    [Song: You can't take me]

Don't judge a thing until you know what's inside it
Dont' push me - I'll fight it
Never gonna give in - never gonna give it up no

If you can't catch a wave then you're never gonna ride
    You can't come uninvited
Never gonna give in - never gonna give it up no
You can't take me I'm free

    image.png

On the other hand, in the humans there are two main ones: the colonel and Little Creek: both try to tame Spirit, the second without violent methods (so also Spirit responds to him with less violence than to the military), but without letting him go anyway, at first, until he understands that he will not let anyone ride him and then he lets him go, but just then is when the village is attacked and due to Spirit helping Rain, Little Creek's mare, he is recaptured.

After that, for the first time Spirit is completely devastated as he is transported by train, but then he remembers his home and his pack:

    [Song: Sound the bugle]

Sound the bugle now - play it just for me
As the seasons change - remember how I used to be
    Now I can't go on - I can't even start
I've got nothing left - just an empty heart

I'm a soldier - wounded so I must give up the fight
There's nothing more for me - lead me away...
    Or leave me lying here

Sound the bugle now - tell them I don't care
There 's not a road I know - that leads to anywhere
Without a light I fear that I will - stumble in the dark
Lay right down - decide not to go on

Then from on high - somewhere in the distance
There's a voice that calls - remember who you are
If you lose yourself - your courage soon will follow
So be strong tonight - remember who you are

Ya you're a soldier now - fighting in a battle
    To be free once more...
    Yeah that's worth fighting for

After Spirit's recapture, however, Little Creek, after the horse had saved his life from a soldier in the attack, goes looking for him to return the favor and finally succeeds in his task by saving Spirit from a fire that Spirit himself had ended up causing when fleeing from his last captors, after which, when the last hunt that the colonel and his men perform against Spirit and Little Creek begins, Spirit happily lets him ride him to escape together.

    image.png https://idolosolvidados.com/spirit/

Finally, both Little Creek and the colonel, in the face of Spirit's touching persistence, have come to admire and respect him, and Spirit wins his freedom: in the face of oppressors in what is perhaps an eternal battle, freedom is not obtained because they give it to you, but must be won and defended against them.

[Canción (fragmento): Nadie me va a dominar]

    Ya nadie me va dominar
    Yo voy a pelear
No me rendiré nunca yo me rendiré, no

Atrapado estoy pero no me montarán
    Jamás lo verán
No me rendiré nunca yo me rendiré, no

    No puedo seguir
    Fuerzas ya no hay
    Solo tengo ya
    Vacío el corazón

    Me han herido
Tanto que ya no puedo luchar
    No hay nada que desear
    Déjenme ya
    Mejor morir aquí

    Suenen el clarín
    Nada importa ya
    No hay camino que
    Seguir para poder huir
    Sin una luz sé
Sé que pronto caeré en la oscuridad
    Decidido ya esta
    Quedarme aquí

    Pero allá
    lejos en la distancia
    oigo una voz que dice
    no pierdas tu valor

    Si te rindes tú
no habrá ya quien te salve
    cobra fuerza hoy
    recobra tu valor
