So just a few days ago a South Korean series was released named Head Over Heels. I started watching this series at that time but I could not review it because this series was not available in English, when it was initially released. But now finally it has been released in English also on Prime Videos. So far, seven episodes have been released. There are three more episodes left which will be released in the future. But how did I feel after watching these seven episodes? Does it have negatives? what is positive? What is the basic story? You will know everything, keep reading.
Let's talk about the basic story in which we get to see the story of South Korea where a girl who does the work of something spiritual, makes amulets, removes the shadow of ghosts from people and people come to her and tell her their problems which she solves and along with that she is also studying in high school. But in her high school class nobody knows that she also does the work of something spiritual.
But one day a boy comes and on seeing him she immediately falls in love with him and she feels that this is the boy whom she has to marry. But the problem is that this boy is going to die in 21 days and how will this girl save him and on the other hand, this boy has also come to her school to study with her in her class where he does not know what this girl actually does, so where will their love story go, how will she save him, you will get to see all the same things in it.
Let us talk about the negatives first. Because I do not find much negative, first of all it becomes an over dramatic series where overacting can be seen at some places, in which the majority of people who overact, females are at the top. Meaning, she doesn't do everything. There are some females. Especially our male needs sometimes start over-acting, which looks quite childish. But if you remove him then no one else overacts. But yes, the series becomes a bit over dramatic. Rest, the pacing of the series is a bit slow. That's it. And I didn't find anything major negative.
Now let's talk about the positive. The story of the series is quite good. The kind of strange romance that was shown in it. A fantasy romance series that looks really nice. This story is very good that a girl has fallen in love with a boy and now that boy is going to die within 21 days so how will she save him? We also need to know the answers to more questions. So there remains interest in knowing all those things.
And all the visuals that have been shown, whether it is ghost scenes or fire scenes, that is, whatever scenes are there in it, they look very good. Very much means that they do not look fake at all. They blend easily into the situation and look absolutely real. The story of the rest of the series is also quite engaging but the pace is a bit slow. You have to remember this. So overall I think this series will be liked by those who like watching Korean dramas.
People who like to watch romance. People who like to watch ghost fantasy will like this. And yes, if we talk about scary scenes involving ghosts, then those are the ones that might scare some people. But sometimes they do not succeed in intimidating the majority. So don't go into this thinking that this is a horror series. This is a dark fantasy series. It is a romance series. This series will be liked by the majority of the people. Those who like to watch Korean dramas frequently.
It has got a rating of 8.6. Well, not many people gave it. I think around 500 people have given it. But still my rating will remain around 8. The performance of all the other actors is quite good. Leaving aside some over-acting, our hero's acting is quite amazing. And I would especially like to praise their makeup department. What amazing makeup you do. The actors who are shown in this series , I have seen them in big movies and have seen them in many movies where sometimes they look older and in some series they are made children.
It is like a high school student has been made to sit inside it and looking at it it does not seem that some adult has been made to sit here, so these people do the make-up quite well. He cannot find out. Rest this is my recommendation. If you like watching Korean dramas then you should definitely watch this series from Must Watch. Now it has come in Hindi language also. Seven episodes are out. There are a total of 11 episodes. The rest will come later.
Translation:
Qual é a história básica?
So finally after a long wait the trailer of Stranger Things season 5 has been released. For which we were waiting for a long time. There was a lot of silence for the last some time, I mean for months. I could not understand what would happen next and what not. But after watching the trailer, this is my reaction and I have become even more excited for it.
We will talk about the rest of the things. But along with this I will also tell you how many episodes are being released in how many parts because all the episodes are not being released at once. Yes, because it is a very big series. It has received 8.2 million views in 12 hours. Because of which I also knew this and those who know Netflix well also know that unless they squeeze a series completely, these people will not leave it because this is a company.
For this reason, instead of releasing all the episodes together, they will be released in three different parts. And it is not like it will be released just after a few days. No no no, not like that. There is a very long time left in him too. I will tell you that also later. Along with that, I will also tell you when it will be released in India as per Indian Standard Time ( IST) , what time will it be released in America , you will get to know all this inside this.
I will even tell you the name of each episode in this video. But first let's talk about my reaction after watching the trailer. The visuals that have come out , the powers that are being shown, the world that is being shown, I am completely shocked by seeing it. And one thing is clear after watching the trailer that the quality of this trailer or this series is very good.
The series has taken a lot of time to bring season five and it seems that the reason why it took time is because these people worked very hard in enhancing the visuals a lot in making the story really good, meaning that they focused a lot on the overall quality which is clearly visible in the trailer, new powers are visible, different worlds are visible which we have seen before as well, but the quality of the mind has not degraded from anywhere, no, in a hurry or because the series has become too popular, half-baked VFX and CGI are released, nothing like this has been done, technically the series is looking very good just by watching the trailer.
How exactly good it will be will only be known when the fifth season is released. But it already looks like season five is going to be really awesome. Where this series will be released in three volumes. Volume one will be released on November 26, which will have episodes one to four, that is, four episodes and it will be released in India at 6:30 am. You heard it right as it is releasing in the US around 5:00 PM IST. For this reason, you will see it at 6:30 in the morning in India. But here I have a small doubt because here it is mentioned that it will be released in America on 26th November. But in India, I think it will be released on 27th November, early in the morning, because if Netflix releases it early in the morning in America, like it releases it at 6:30 in the morning, then here we get to watch it at 1:30. But if Netflix releases something at night, it releases it in America or Europe.
So here we get to see the next day. So here I have complete doubts that we will be able to watch this series on 27th November at 6:30 am in India. This time of 26th November is for America. This is for Pacific Time. The remaining second volume will be released on December 25. Exactly one month later, on Christmas day, its volume two will be released which will have a total of three episodes 5, 6, 7 and this too will be released at the same time at 6:30 pm. But I also think that instead of releasing it on 25th December, it will be released on 26th December in India.
Maybe we can fix this somehow. It is possible that the same release may be done at both places in real time. But I think its chances are low. I think it will be released in India a day later, on 26th December. Because this has happened many times. There was a series called The Last of Us. When the series was about to be released, I was sitting with Hotstar open on that day, but it was not released and then I came to know that it would be released the next day early in the morning at 6:30 am.
So for this reason I think that it will be released in India the very next day on 26th December. After that, the third volume will be the final volume in which only one episode will be released, that will be the eighth episode, which will have a total of eight episodes in it. Many people might be angry after hearing this that since there are only eight episodes, they should have been released all at once, which I also think, but here Netflix is well aware of the popularity of this series. That's why they want to squeeze out everything completely. That's why whatever will be its final episode, something will happen here in America on New Eve. That's why it will be released on 31st December 2025 at 6:30 am.
This means that we will get to watch this final episode here in India on January 1st, the New Year. And if we talk about the name of each episode, then the first episode will be named Chapter One The Crawl. The second episode will be titled Chapter Two: The Vanishing Of. The third episode will be titled Chapter Three The Turnbow Trap. The name of the fourth episode will be Chapter Four Sorcerer. The name of the fifth episode will be Chapter Five Shockjack. The sixth episode will be titled Chapter Six Skip from Camzords. The name of the seventh episode will be The Bridge. The name of the eth episode will be The Right Side Up. Rest, what I told you, it is almost confirmed that all these episodes will be released one day after the American release date as per American standards, that is, in India, the first episode will be released on November 26. So it is confirmed that it will be released in India on 27th November only. And volume two will be released worldwide on December 25th, Christmas.
But in India or rather in the whole of Asia, we will get to see it on 26th December. And the final episode, which will be released on December 31 everywhere else, that is, on December 31 in western countries, we will be able to watch it in India on January 1 at 6:30 am. This is almost confirmed. There is no doubt about this. If Netflix makes some change and releases both the films in real time then it is a different matter. But this does not happen. They release it at the same time all over the world. There must be some protocol like that so whatever would have happened before, I do n't know.
But this will definitely be pretty much because I have seen this before, the same thing has happened in the big series Last of Us on Hotstar. So I hope everything is clear to you. After watching the rest of the trailer, it seems very interesting and if we talk about it, will this be the final season? I am telling you that this is the final season. But season 3 of Squid Game was also the final season but a spin off is coming so anything can happen. This is n't to say this is the final season. Well, that is it for now but its spin-off will definitely be made because it is a very popular series.
Some time ago, I watched a series called “The Mayfair Witches,” and it was one of those hidden gems. It's the kind of series that literally no one knows about, the kind of series that, when you discover it, you wonder why no one is talking about it. This series is based on books written by Anne Rice, a very famous American writer who has written quite a few fantasy and gothic books. She is the author of a literary series called The Vampire Chronicles. These books, along with others that are a little more religious. She also has many very famous novels that I have wanted to start reading at some point in my life. The first season of this series introduces us to the life of a girl named Rowan, who discovers at a certain point in her life that she has magical powers and that she comes from a family of witches. Since this is a spoiler, I won't tell you much about how she finds out, but obviously in this review of the second season, you will see a few spoilers.
In the first season, we were left with a rather dramatic ending, and here we start right away with our protagonist Rowan and her baby. Lasher's birth is very important to the Mayfair witches because of their connection to him, especially for Rowan. From the beginning, both she and the other witches try to understand all of Lasher's powers and, obviously, the consequences of his birth. At the same time, a conflict arises with a guy named Julien, who is Rowan's uncle. While she also tries to control and understand her own powers, more dark secrets are revealed about the witch family and all the things they hide. Our protagonist confronts her family and also faces some very difficult decisions about her own destiny, along with Lasher's, in the finale.
I liked this season much more than the previous one because it explores many things and answers many questions that the first season left me with, especially since the first seasons are a bit introductory. In this season, we explore a little bit of everything, the past, the present, and it makes us ask questions about the future of certain protagonists. I must say that if the first finale had drama, this one has twice as much drama because it's always interesting to see how they left a protagonist deciding something. In addition, the series is fantasy where something magical happens at the end that increases someone's powers, it always leaves more questions than usual, and that's what I really like. I'm going to tell you that it's going to be hard for me to wait for the next season. I always say that I'm going to read the books to find out what happens, and I never do, but what I will do is recommend this series to you, because it's really good and you can get it on Prime Video. I hope you enjoyed hearing my thoughts on this series. See you soon!

Hello, friends of The Anime Realm! It’s a pleasure to be with you once again to share a review of one of the anime that has revolutionized the action genre in recent times, Solo Leveling, specifically its first season.
This story based on a Korean web novel written by Chugong and later adapted to manhwa and anime, presents us with a plot that unfolds between fantasy, action and the supernatural. There we meet a teenager named Sung Jinwoo, a hunter of low rank and little physical strength who tries to survive in a world where some humans possess special abilities and must fight against monsters that emerge in inter-dimensional portals known as dungeons, all this in order to protect humanity.
¡Hola, amigos de The Anime Realm!
If we focus on the first season I can say that my impression of the series did not meet all those great expectations I had, because it had been recommended to me on numerous occasions and I can even say that I had been pressured enough to see it, however now that I'm watching the second season the picture looks much better and the immense hype that has had the series is justified much more.
Going back to the review of the first season, after seeing the protagonist barely survive an incredibly powerful type of dungeon and that an enigmatic program called the System chooses him exclusively as its player, giving him the ability to continuously level up, several questions began to haunt my head: How did the inter-dimensional portals come about, who is the creator of the mysterious program known as the System, why does the System choose precisely the weak young Sung Jinwoo, among others? I guess as the story unfolds and the seasons progress these questions will be revealed.
In particular, I’m very interested in the part of the plot in which Sung Jinwoo struggles to get an antidote to cure his mother of a rare disease that arose precisely since the appearance of the dungeons and that has her prostrated in a deep sleep that seems to have no end. I’m very struck by how the protagonist will manage to find a solution to this situation that for him must be painful and desperate and therefore represents a great personal motivation in the development of the story.
When I saw the results of the Crunchyroll Awards 2025 and when I learned that the voting was to take into account only the first season of this series, I was left with my doubts about whether Solo Leveling deserved the award for best anime of the year, above other anime of the caliber of Frieren and Dan Da Dan. Now, from what I have seen so far, I consider that the second season does have what it takes, but I understand that it will be taken into account for next year's awards.
Official Trailer – Season 1
Thanks for joining me here, I'll see you soon with another review, maybe to talk about my impressions of the second season or my opinion about other anime I've been watching at the same time. Take care!

A few minutes into Perfect Days, I felt something loosen in my chest. This wasn’t a film trying to entertain or provoke. It was simply offering a quiet place to breathe. Koji Yakusho, in one of the most understated performances I’ve ever witnessed, becomes Hirayama, a man who cleans public toilets in Tokyo. That’s his job. But somehow, by watching him go about this life with such calm attention, I felt like I was being invited to observe my own life differently. The way he folds his futon, selects a cassette tape, steps into sunlight—it all carries a kind of sacred weight, though nothing is treated as sacred.
There’s no narration explaining who he is. No dramatic past lurking behind his smile. Still, every movement tells us something. Hirayama doesn’t need backstory because his present is so fully inhabited. He’s not numb or detached. He’s tender. He cares for his plants with quiet devotion, captures trees on a simple analog camera, listens to Lou Reed with a subtle nod. Nothing about him demands attention, yet everything draws you in. The more I watched, the more I questioned my own habits. How much of what I call my life is really mine, and how much is just noise I’ve learned to perform.
Rarely do we see a film that allows for this kind of stillness without making it feel empty. In Perfect Days, silence never equals absence. What we’re seeing is a man who has stopped chasing what doesn’t matter. There’s no rebellion in his lifestyle, no statement to prove. But make no mistake, there is power in that choice. While the world scrolls and updates and perfects itself, Hirayama reads used books, takes slow bike rides, and eats his lunch on a bench beneath the trees. His life isn’t aesthetic. It’s intentional. That difference feels more radical than any plot twist ever could.
What surprised me most was how familiar he began to feel. I don’t live in Tokyo. I don’t clean bathrooms. But I know what it is to seek peace in routine. I know the comfort of hearing the same song each morning or watching light shift across a wall. Hirayama reminds us that a person doesn’t need a grand destiny to be complete. His minimalism isn’t design. It’s a language. And without ever raising his voice, he speaks directly to something we’ve forgotten in our endless thirst for optimization. To live simply, quietly, fully, is not to live small. It is to live with honesty.
By the time the final scenes arrived, I wasn’t hoping for resolution. I wasn’t asking for more. I was just grateful. Perfect Days is a cinematic pause, a whisper that it’s okay not to strive for more when what you have already holds meaning. Koji Yakusho doesn’t act the part—he becomes it. And in doing so, he offers a mirror to anyone willing to look. You don’t need applause to have worth. You don’t need spectacle to be seen. Maybe the real act of living begins when we stop performing and start paying attention.
I've always been a fan of the Final Destination series. For me, these movies have had a big impact on my life because they show such absurd and strange deaths that I developed new fears. I always remember the scene with the logging truck that causes a huge accident, which made me afraid of big trucks in front of me on the highway, or the scene where they're doing eye surgery and death appears. This scene in particular made me give up on having surgery for my myopia when I had the chance, ha ha ha. It's crazy, but I'm a person who lives in fear of death and imagines scenarios as absurd as those presented in the Final Destination series. I recently had the opportunity to see the latest installment of this saga, and I wasn't too excited to see it since the last Final Destination movies were a bit disappointing. Although we can't expect too much from a plot that is clear from the beginning and always repeats the same formula, that is the essence of Final Destination: death simply comes sooner or later, and if you are destined to die, you cannot stop it.
One of the things I like most about this series is that it also has a touch of humor. Seeing Death at work in such macabre ways fits perfectly with the irony and dark humor, and this latest installment is no exception, I have to say that I really liked it this movie. It all begins, as always, with an accident in which many people die. This time, the setting is a huge futuristic tower in the 1960s. The accident starts with a coin and ends with the tower collapsing completely. Even those who manage to get out in time are not saved, as their fate was obviously to die. But then we find out that everything we saw before was a dream, and we return to the present day where we meet Stefanie, a college girl who has been unable to sleep for months because she has this nightmare every night. This has affected her academic performance, and she decides she must find answers to end this cycle of nightmares. Stefanie goes home with her family, and there we learn that her grandmother (who appeared in her dreams) is estranged from the family, and they don't want to talk about her because she went “crazy.” Stefanie decides to find out where her grandmother is, and that's when the real terror begins.
Although the same formula is repeated, death after death, in this film we see something different: death takes an entire family. Stefanie's grandmother managed to save many lives on the day she had that accident, many lives that should have been lost that day continued in this world, with families, grandchildren, and normal lives. However, we are told that one by one they died. Death took time to arrive because there were too many survivors from that day. It took years until Stefanie had that crazy dream that led her to her grandmother's house, where, in a desperate attempt to warn her granddaughter and her entire family, she died after years of being locked up to keep herself safe and prevent her entire family from dying. The grandmother's death triggers the death of everyone else, one by one, even those who try to interfere with the plans of destiny.
I thought this movie was good, I really liked the characters, and the deaths were a bit unpredictable at times because they made you think something was going to happen, but it turned out to be something completely different. We were even sure that one of the characters would die second, but it turned out that he wasn't even on the “death list,” which was pretty funny.
Perhaps the only thing I could complain about is that in some scenes they overdid the CGI effects to create the deaths. I know it's necessary to make it look realistic, but sometimes it looks so computerized that it takes you out of the story a bit. In some deaths, there was too much blood, as if they had killed three people at once, haha.
Something that surprised me when I finished the movie was a dedication to actor Tony Todd, who died last year. I didn't know about his death, and besides that, when I saw him on screen, I felt like he had already been in that movie, but he looked so different that I had trouble recognizing that he had always been present in all the Final Destination movies. When I realized it, I was excited to see a character who has been a recurring figure in this saga appearing in this latest installment, and also to get a little context about how he is involved in all this. And it's quite curious how he said goodbye to the movie as if he were really saying goodbye to everyone, thus leaving his last appearance in these movies and also leaving a little nostalgia in those of us who saw him act in different films. Rest in peace.
Final Destination: Blood lines is a film that respects its roots and also tells us several stories in one, involving family relationships and typical problems that are overshadowed by death, which seeks to wipe them all out because they should never have existed. It is full of crazy deaths, but it still has that essence of making you think of a thousand ways to die, and there are also moments where you can laugh a little. Don't expect to be scared, just prepare yourself mentally and know that no one escapes death; your destiny is written from the moment you are born.
Its catching up time and I didnt want to leave haing on Episode 5 of Dead City Season 2 in fact it was better that the first four imo and it felt like the show finally found its groove again after that kinda slow first four episodes. The whole power struggle between the Dama and the Croat reached a boiling point and watching Negan manipulate everything from the shadows was just like the kiss of death. This episode literally changed everything, from Maggie almost getting hanged to that brutal scene where the Croat just lets the Dama burn alive, it was chaos from start to finish and it was very satisfying although Narvaez death was too easy, after all the series is not perfect and I dont not expect it to be as its a spin off aka milk that cow. The way they killed off multiple group leaders in one episode was bold as hell since its a big reset button, especially considering how long they have been building up these factions. Narvaez from New Babylon getting taken out by walker Roxanna was poetic justice at its finest, the woman who preached about order and control gets destroyed by the very chaos she helped create. The whole Central Park execution scene was intense too, with those foragers doing their mourning ritual that attracted all the walkers, it was actually pretty smart storytelling but still look a bit low effort or just too evident still I guess it was all about this big reset for the series. Hershel's confession about working with the Dama hit different this time around, you could see how torn up Maggie was about her own son being manipulated by this woman and in the case of Hershel I really thought he would take Dama's side but with her diying it would not make sense. The character development this season has been way better than season 1, everyone feels more real and less like they are just going through the motions. Ginny turn out to be bitchy AF this season, from the quiet girl to pointing a gun at Hershel was a moment that made me actually gasp, like tf you doing but then she redeemed herself by saving Maggie later so I guess we are good.
The methane facility stuff and all the political maneuvering between the different groups was handled way better than I expected especially with Negan trying to convince Christos to join their side only to watch the Croat gas everyone I didnt see that coming, I thought Negan would have a bigger confrontation with the Croat although revenge was so sweet. That whole sequence where they reveal Christos was actually protecting women and children was a nice touch, it gave his character more emotion instead of just being another tough guy villain, same as when he explain how they were just surviving and basically had to look though but they are rely not into it but just playing along. The way the Croat showed up and just wiped out the entire group was brutal but also showed how unstable he has become, this scene really reminds me of good old savage Negan, dude is clearly losing it and taking everyone down with him. Negan's reaction to all the innocent people dying was interesting too, you could see him questioning whether he is on the right side of this war. The fight over power between all these factions have been the strongest part of this season, way more interesting than the generic zombie action we usually get. Bugal showing up at the end was perfect timing and I love how he has been playing everyone against each other from the background. The production values continue to be top notch, that Radio City Music Hall location was gorgeous and the whole burning building sequence looked incredible. The acting has stepped up too, especially from the actor playing the Croat, his breakdown scene with the Dama was really something special from the moment he first loose it after feeling Nega had his back but then feels he didnt right away, thats he moment Croat realize he fucked up and too the bait, that is exactly why then he goes back to Dama to talk and basically apologize.
What really worked for me was how they handled the Dama's death scene, because I was getting tired of her whole mysterious puppet master thing. The Croat calling her out for being nothing without him was a long time coming and watching their partnership implode was satisfying in a twisted way, it was about damn time. The rat symbolism throughout the episode was heavy handed but effective, especially with that final shot of Negan cleaning the guts off his boot, I mean we all knew it was him. It's clear he orchestrated the whole thing by killing the Dama's pet rat and then convincing the Croat that she doesn't respect him, classic Negan manipulation using people's insecurities against them to get what he wants. The fact that he didn't have to get his hands dirty this time shows how much he has evolved as a character, he is smarter and more calculating now. The Croat's descent into madness has been building all season and this episode was the perfect payoff for his story, his decision to let the Dama burn was cold blooded but also understandable given how she has been treating him like garbage. The whole power vaccuum this creates is gonna be interesting to watch, especially with Bugal positioning himself as the new big bad ass in town. I'm curious to see how Negan handles being the leader of this methane operation without the Dama pulling the strings, because if Croat accepts he killed Dama on purpose then him and Negan might stay together, after watching episode 5 it felt like it has been worth watching the series so far.
The execution scenes were probably the most intense moments Dead City has ever done, except for that time Maggie fought that fkn huge zombie in the underground tunnels and I'm not just talking about the hanging itself but the whole build up to it, how Maggie goes back and still gets caught because Ginny help, which in fact make her look stupid because then she backtracks latter on the episode. Narvaez's plan to use Maggie as bait to lure Negan and the Croat into a walker trap was actually dumb af, I was rooting for Narvaez to get killed asap and Im glad she got killed the moment she grab some power. The way the foragers accepted their fate and didn't fight back against the walkers was haunting, something I didnt expect, I though they were going to at least turn around, it showed how different groups have adapted to this world in their own ways and just accept how some things are. The walker attack on the execution site was chaos but good chaos, with everyone scrambling to survive while the dead poured in from all sides. Roxanna coming back as a walker to kill Narvaez was probably the most satisfying death in the entire series so far, that woman had it coming. The fact that they managed to make me care about these side characters before killing them off shows how much the story telling has improved. Pearly's role as the voice of reason throughout all the madness was important too although he still look stupid like when Maggie tried to save him from the box and he decided to stay in with Roxanna tf??, although he has become a solid supporting character. The whole sequence with Maggie almost dying really showed how much Hershel means to her and you could see the desperation in her eyes, this episode proved that Dead City works best when it focuses on character relationships rather than just zombie action.
The series have been ramping up and Season 2 of Dead City is starting to feel like an improvement and making it fit with the other two spin off actually going on too, I think it represents everything that has been working about season 2 so far, the political mind games, the character development and the willingness to make big changes to the point of resting the rules of the game with Dama and Narvaez death, who is going to remain as the leaders and what will be their actions?. The way they handled multiple character deaths without it feeling cheap or just for shock value was impressive, each death served the story in some way. There is also the Croat's transformation from loyal follower to potential main villain has been one of the best character story lines in the Walking Dead universe in the last few years along with Negan's return to his manipulative roots felt natural and it's clear he has learned from his past mistakes. The pacing of this episode was perfect, it never felt rushed but also never dragged, every scene had purpose. I'm actually excited to see where they take the story from here, even though I can watch all the other episodes Im planing on finish two per week as I catch up with other series. The balance between the different factions has been maintained really well, no other group feels overpowered or under powered, imo this episode gets a solid 7.5/10 from me, it's everything I wanted Dead City to be from the beginning, dark, complex and willing to take risks with its characters, I know this is not a series for everyone but I did enjoy watching.
If you like strange stories, this movie is for you. I must say that I didn't quite understand it, and the reason I started watching it is because it said it was about a hitwoman who leaves no trace and never fails. Everything related to serial crimes and suspense strongly appeals to me.
Ingrid is the assassin who dresses mysteriously when she goes to work, wearing a swimming cap and plastic gloves. She is tall and athletic, with an expressionless face, and the film begins with one of her murders, which was the perfect hook for me.
After she commits a murder, she returns to her home, which is a kind of shed, giving the impression of being a container where she has a space to explore art with her creations and a kind of map that she creates with mental images. The strangest thing is that she takes off her cap and a milky liquid comes out of the middle of her head, which she pours into a drawer or trunk that is half full. It is like her spinal fluid, and it becomes gelatinous. As this liquid flows out after the murders, I quickly realized that she kills to obtain this liquid and collect it, but the most important question is why or for what purpose. We understand the answer at the end.
When it started, I thought it would be one death after another, but that wasn't the case. She was hired by two clients at the same time, and both wanted to kill the other. The thing is, she couldn't refuse either of them because they were very dangerous, even to herself, and since she was close to filling her trunk with liquid, she decided to go ahead with both missions.
The fantasy gained momentum as the film progressed, ceasing to be a thriller. Now the mystery of childhood trauma was mixed with current reality, and a symbolism began to emerge between the sculptures owned by the mobsters who hired her and the legends that connected her to them.
She was a lonely woman, hardly uttering a word, feeling sad and empty, with no family or friends. Ah, but that prevented her from having a brief romance. I confess that this part made me happy. I thought she would become vulnerable and her lover would be pleased, but I was wrong, poor man.
Our protagonist was robbed in her home and they took what was most precious to her, her trunk with liquid, driving her crazy and also taking away her power because apparently her strength, concentration, and pulse were connected to her trunk.
The fantasy world was photographically beautiful, a kind of lonely asteroid with contoured dunes and dark areas, very cold, where our girl arrived and felt sad. She explored carefully, taking small steps, looking for someone, but no one came out.
The ending was sad and confusing, at least for me. Some things made sense, but others didn't. Maybe if I saw it again, I would understand its message, but I think it's one of those movies where logic doesn't apply because reality doesn't exist in the fantasy world.

Hello everyone! Let me introduce myself... I'm Kyara and this is my very first movie review ✨
I just watched a movie called DEMON HUNTERS, also known in Spanish as "Las guerreras K-pop" or "Cazadores de demonios K-pop". Just by reading the translated title and the synopsis, I thought it would be a movie very focused on famous idols or the whole K-pop world, but I still decided to give it a shot...
SYNOPSIS:
When they're not filling stadiums, K-pop superstars Rumi, Mira, and Zoey use their secret superpowers to protect their fans from supernatural threats.
REVIEW:
As I mentioned, I started the movie with low expectations, thinking it would heavily center on K-pop themes, but I was curious because it's animated and has a somewhat dark aesthetic.
Despite being a bit fantastical — since it blends supernatural elements with everyday life — the movie does a good job creating a fun universe where demons and hunters exist. Their music plays a central role in uniting and protecting people. Just when the hunters are about to create a powerful barrier, the demons come up with a rather “unusual” plan...
WHAT I LIKED:
THE ANIMATION: Even though I don't often watch animated films with this particular style, I truly enjoyed it. I haven't appreciated animation this much since Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse or Arcane. Some scenes had a visual language that reminded me a lot of anime... I laughed a lot when the hunters meet their "rivals" for the first time.
ENTERTAINMENT VALUE: The plot holds your attention and is very easy to follow. I MUST highlight the cat — it totally stole the show! Even though its scenes are short, it's an absolutely adorable character.
CHARACTER CHEMISTRY: I really liked the "romance" element — it doesn't dominate the story, but it adds charm. There are great comedic moments, and overall it’s fun and engaging. I won't spoil anything, but let’s just say this movie broke my heart a little... I'm still recovering.
THE MUSIC: So catchy! Whether you like it or not, at least one of the songs will get stuck in your head. Personally, I chose to watch the movie in English, but I really would’ve liked to hear the songs in Korean first. While the English versions are fine, considering it’s a K-pop group and knowing who's behind each track, I would have preferred the original Korean versions.
WHAT DIDN’T WORK FOR ME:
LACK OF DEVELOPMENT FOR SOME CHARACTERS: The story focuses a lot on the main trio, especially Rumi (the lead vocalist). I would’ve loved to see more background or personality from the other hunters and even the Saja Boys. Some of the side characters seemed really interesting, but they didn’t get much screen time or development.
PREDICTABLE ENDING: If you’re familiar with similar genres or tropes, you might be able to guess how things will wrap up. Still, that doesn’t take away from the fun. The movie leaves the door open for a sequel, which could be very exciting.
FINAL THOUGHTS:
It’s an enjoyable film — not too deep or complex, but definitely fun, visually appealing, and full of memorable moments. I’d rate it around 7.5 to 8/10, because it totally pulled me in and I had a great time watching it.
I also heard (not sure if it's confirmed) that some scenes were cut for timing reasons. If true, those moments could’ve added even more depth or emotional impact to the story — and possibly given us an even bigger existential crisis 😅 I recommend watching this movie even if you're new to it and don't know much about idols and K-pop, since the language they use is very easy to understand.
If you’ve already watched it and want to share your thoughts or opinions, feel free to do so! I’d love to talk about it! 😍
Hola a todos! Me presento...
Estaré dispuesta a conversarlo.😍

Although I don't consider them masterpieces of the seventh art, I've always had a lot of affection for all the Karate Kid films, and I even feel that the first seasons of its spin-off (Cobra Kai) were entertaining adaptations that managed to bring the formula into the 21st century, even though as the years went by things got out of hand and the narrative became increasingly sloppy.
Perhaps this is why I had quite high expectations for "Karate Kids Legends," the film directed by Jonathan Entwistle that not only promised to serve as a sort of reboot, but would also attempt to bridge the original canon of Daniel Larousse and Mr. Miyagi with the divisive story of Han and Dre (the protagonists of 2010's The Karate Kid).
Honestly, this all felt like a recipe for success, which, regardless of its quality, would at least give us the pleasure of seeing all these characters coexisting, and maybe, with a little luck, we could ignore the illogicality of having them all together.
What I'm saying in a nutshell is that my expectations for the final result, at least in terms of plot, were very low, as long as the film could provide us with pure entertainment.
Ironically, after watching it, it's pretty obvious to me that the experiment failed, and Karate Kids Legends not only fails to deliver iconic sequences, but also ends up as a hodgepodge of ideas that go nowhere, with familiar faces performing unrecognizable actions and an anticlimactic ending.
It's a cheap film that directly rejects the popcorn style of the classics, something that even the 2010 reboot captured very well.
It has a couple of strengths, such as the use of New York as a setting, and a couple of solid musical pieces that make the experience more bearable. Unfortunately, it doesn't represent the path I want for the Karate Kid franchise, a franchise that has enough potential to reinvent itself and take its concept to a genuinely interesting level.
Past iterations seem to hinder the most interesting elements of Legends, and a lot of half-baked ideas remain that may have made sense on paper, but are far from working in reality.
The 2010s were the Golden Age of Television, but not so much for MTV. A television channel that for decades had been one of the pillars of global pop culture, exerting an immeasurably large (and not always positive) influence on other people’s film and television work, and dictating everything young people were supposed to love, has recently been forced to copy other people’s trends at the time. This is evident not only in how reality shows began to dominate its programming lineup instead of music videos, but also in its live-action shows lacking any particular originality. One such example is the TV series The Chronicles of Shannara.
The first season was based on The Elfstones of Shannara, a sprawling fantasy novel by Terry Brooks, which was the second part of his The Sword of Shannara trilogy. The story unfolds in the so-called Four Lands, a world that at first glance resembles a typical Tolkien-esque realm of elves, dwarves, trolls, gnomes, and wizards. Yet within it, one can occasionally stumble upon the ruins and other artefacts of a modern world that had apparently disappeared in a nuclear apocalypse thousands of years ago, after which survivors turned to magic instead of science. In the elven kingdom stands Ellcrys, a magical oak tree that begins to wither, opening a dimensional rift through which demons led by the dark wizard Dagda Mor (Jed Brophy) will surge into the world. Elf princess Amberle Elessedil (Poppy Drayton), a member of the order tasked with guarding Ellcrys, discovers that the tree can only be revived if a mysterious artefact hidden in the land of the trolls is found. On this perilous journey, she is accompanied by Will Ohmsford (Austin Butler), a young healer of mixed human-elf heritage who possesses “elfstones” that enable combat against demons, and Eretria (Ivana Baquero), a young woman raised among a band of roaming human scavengers.
Lack of originality has dogged Shannara since its first literary incarnation, namely the 1977 novel The Sword of Shannara, which critics lambasted for being overly inspired by Tolkien’s The Lord of the Rings. These comparisons, however, did not prevent Brooks’ book from becoming a bestseller and the foundation for an extraordinarily successful series that, until 2020, spanned 25 novels. Attempts to adapt Brooks’ world for big or small screens were numerous, though they were often hindered by the success of other projects—Peter Jackson’s Tolkien adaptations, Game of Thrones, and the general perception that the current television landscape was too small for three such major fantasy franchises. The Shannara Chronicles also suffered in comparisons with Legend of the Seeker, a 2008 fantasy series based on Terry Goodkind’s epic cycle, which shared much of Shannara’s setting, locations, ambition, and, ultimately, fate, being cancelled after two seasons.
Brooks’ world was adapted to television probably because MTV executives concluded that Shannara could benefit from other pop culture trends, particularly those tied to Game of Thrones or young adult dystopian sci-fi novels. The series is thus tailored primarily for a teenage audience, especially American. This is immediately evident in the characters speaking modern American English instead of British accents—rather unusual for fantasy fare—which, like certain Valley-speak phrases, will shatter immersion for some viewers. This is a far smaller issue than the noticeable budget constraints, which make epic battle scenes look far less spectacular than those in Game of Thrones, while exotic creatures resemble 1960s Star Trek humanoids. Comparisons with Game of Thrones suffered further by The Chronicles of Shannara adhering to a PG-13 rating: under MTV’s standards, explicit bloodshed and beheadings were permissible for teens, but no coarse language or nudity was allowed.
On the other hand, the first season of The Chronicles isn’t a complete waste of time for those who invest ten hours in it. The plot is adequately fleshed out (with a mini-cliffhanger left hanging for good measure), and the cast tries hard—particularly British newcomer Poppy Drayton and Spanish actress Ivana Baquero (famous for her role in Pan’s Labyrinth). Both of them handle American accents flawlessly, and their pairing with young Austin Butler creates a sufficiently engaging love triangle (with room for discreet lesbian undertones). New Zealand’s fantasy-ready locations are well exploited, and the country’s talent pool—home to actors known for Spartacus, including Manu Bennett, here impressively cast as the druid Allanon—adds depth. The standout, however, is the electronic score by Felix Erskine and Lucas Barton, which creates an indelible atmosphere and distinguishes the series enough from its far more famous and superior inspirations to spare viewers cringe-worthy déjà vu.
