Al inicio parece una simple película policial, pero con el pasar de los minutos todo da un giro extraño. La desaparición de uno de sus compañeros pone a Reneé en la pista de lo paranormal al ver la grabación de su cámara. Los hechos, difíciles de creer, se van intensificando en violencia y ya no se pueden seguir negando, al darse cuenta de que sus compañeros están en peligro.
I warn you that in order to give an honest opinion I will have to expose some spoilers, so you have been warned. Although the argument is born from a cliché of the genre, it is quite well done. The quest for revenge has been used in many other films, however this one has something different. At the beginning it seems like a simple police movie, but as the minutes go by everything takes a strange turn. The disappearance of one of her colleagues puts Reneé on the trail of the paranormal when she sees his camera footage. The events, hard to believe, escalate in violence and can no longer be denied as she realizes that her companions are in danger.

Everything revolves around a woman when she is initially stopped in the street by a policeman, the death of this triggers the search for the woman, who is always present when any strange death happens. Reneé soon begins to investigate who she is, even though no one supports her. The dirty secrets hidden in the police begin to come to light when Reneé discovers a conspiracy involving the death of a teenager, the son of the unknown woman. From this she begins to understand, however discovering just how high up the corruption is takes her by surprise.
La película tiene una tensión fenomenal y te mantiene enganchado hasta el final. Ya que está muy buena la idea de mostrar los hechos a través de las cámaras policiales. Me pareció diferente e interesante, a pesar del cliché de la venganza de un espíritu. Si te gusta el género, no te la podés perder.
The film has a phenomenal tension and keeps you hooked until the end. The idea of showing the events through the police cameras is very good. I found it different and interesting, despite the cliché of the revenge of a spirit. If you like the genre, you can't miss it.
It's been a while since I watched this, so please forgive me if I make little mistakes in the plot. I was going through the animes on my flashdrive and you know, stumbled upon this one. Decided to see some episodes at that moment, but it was cut short because I had books to read.

Alright, let's dive into its plot now. In a world at the brink of chaos, it all begins with two boys, Akira Fudo and Ryo Asuka. Akira is gentle, soft-spoken, and cries at the slightest sadness. Ryo is his polar opposite: cold, brilliant, and oddly charismatic, like someone who always knows more than he’s saying. When Ryo reenters Akira’s life, he brings with him a terrifying revelation which is "demons are real." Ancient creatures from the beginning of time, and they are returning to reclaim the Earth. According to Ryo, the only way to fight them is to become one.
He takes Akira to a grotesque nightclub, a writhing pit of sweat, sex, and strobe lights. (Hope you guys notice the subtle improvement in my vocabulary;)) The atmosphere is feral, like a cage of wild animals disguised as humans. Then Ryo reveals his plan: he’s going to summon demons, on purpose. This leads to chaos. People begin transforming into monsters, tearing each other apart. Amidst the blood and fire, a powerful demon named Amon takes possession of Akira, but something unexpected happens. Akira doesn’t disappear. Instead, he overwhelms the demon and fuses with it. He becomes something new. He becomes Devilman. Laughs maniacally at the background.
This is just me crashing out guys. Forgive me.
The next morning, Akira wakes up different, sharper, taller, faster. His body is stronger, his senses heightened, and there’s a darkness burning just beneath his skin. But his heart is still the same. He still cries. He still feels. And now, he has the power to protect others from the demons crawling back into the world.
Akira returns to his foster family, the Makimuras. There’s Miki, strong-willed, athletic, and kind, someone who believes in goodness even when things start falling apart. She’s the one who grounds Akira, even when his urges grow violent and his dreams become monstrous. Her little brother Taro is fascinated by superheroes, but slowly drifts into darker fantasies. The Makimura home becomes a fragile bubble of warmth, slowly closing in as the rest of the world unravels.
Meanwhile, Ryo becomes more unhinged. Obsessed with exposing demons, he orchestrates violence and death in the name of truth. He films evidence of demons in action and broadcasts it to the world. What follows is a rapid collapse of society. Fear spreads like wildfire. Neighbors turn on each other. People are accused of being demons for looking different, acting strange, or simply being in the wrong place. Mass panic takes root. Governments fall. Religion fractures. The human race begins to devour itself without needing demons to help.

People who, like Akira, bonded with demons but kept their hearts. He tries to gather them, lead them, protect the last scraps of humanity. But the tide is too strong. Every victory is followed by a deeper loss. He battles monsters like Silene, a beautiful, sorrowful demon who once loved Amon. She begs for the demon she remembers, but finds only Akira. She dies crying his name, leaving behind only questions and regret.
And then the world turns. Ryo, ever the puppet master, reveals his final truth. He is not human at all. He is Satan. Reborn into this world without his memories, he had pulled every string from the beginning, summoning demons, pushing Akira into fusion, orchestrating the collapse of mankind, not as a boy seeking truth, but as an angel cast from heaven, trying to reclaim the Earth. The war he started wasn’t just against demons, but against God.
But Ryo made a mistake. He didn’t expect to care.
Somewhere along the way, Ryo fell in love with Akira. Maybe not romantically, but deeply, painfully. He didn’t understand it, not fully, not until it was too late. He wanted Akira at his side in the new world he planned to rule. But Akira wasn’t just powerful, he was human. And humanity, in its flawed, heartbreaking way, was something Ryo couldn’t control.

After these wonderful occurrences, something terrible happens. I genuinely can't remember the battle but it was exciting and made adrenaline pump within me.
Anyways, that's it. The end of my review for Devilman Crybaby. It was...gory. Scary a bit and I would not recommend you watch it with your younger sibling. Don't be like me, always making that mistake🥲.

I wanted to talk about Cash Out (2024) because I saw it a while ago and I also saw a lot of comments on the internet where they were destroying this movie and the truth is I did not understand the reason, because if you understand that it is not perfect and will not win any Oscar as it has its flaws in fact some things got on my nerves, but I did not think it is the trash that many say, not so bad but not as bad as they say out there hehehehe. I thought that in this movie John Travolta is still John Travolta and shows that he still has that charisma that has kept him in the position where he is for years. Travolta plays Mason Goddard a professional thief who is the ringleader of the group and his girlfriend Amelia turns out to be an undercover FBI agent who betrayed them during a car heist. It turns out that Mason decides to retire to his private island, but his younger brother Shawn screws up and plans an inexperienced bank heist, so Mason has no choice but to jump in to save his brother from his own stupidity.
Quise hablar sobre Cash Out (2024) porque yo la vi hace un tiempo y también vi un montón de comentarios en internet donde estaban destrozando esta película y la verdad no entendí la razón, porque si se entiende que no es perfecta ni va a ganar ningún Oscar ya que tiene sus fallas de hecho algunas cosas me sacaron de quicio, pero tampoco me pareció que es la basura que muchos dicen, no tan así pues, mala pero no tanto como dicen por allí jejeje. A mí me pareció que en esta peli John Travolta sigue siendo John Travolta y demuestra que todavía tiene ese carisma que lo ha mantenido en la posición donde está por años. Travolta hace el papel de Mason Goddard un ladrón profesional que es el cabecilla del grupo y su novia Amelia resulta ser una agente del FBI encubierta que los traicionó durante un robo de unos carros. Resulta que Mason decide retirarse a su isla privada, pero su hermano menor Shawn mete la pata y planea un atraco de banco sin tener experiencia, entonces Mason no tiene más remedio que meterse para salvar a su hermano de su propia estupidez.
They thought it was going to be a simple job and it turns into a nightmare when they discover they were not stealing cryptocurrencies but compromising information from an international criminal named Abel Salazar and they get trapped in the bank with hostages while negotiating with the FBI and military forces who want to eliminate them to protect the secrets. To me the movie reminded me of those thrillers from the 90's and early 2000's that I really missed, nowadays they don't make many like that and I thought Travolta handles the character so calmly that he really seems like a seasoned thief who always has a plan.
Ellos creían qie iba a ser un trabajo sencillo y se convirtió en pesadilla cuando descubren que no estaban robando criptomonedas sino información comprometedora de un criminal internacional llamado Abel Salazar y se quedan atrapados en el banco con rehenes mientras negocian con el FBI y fuerzas militares que quieren eliminarlos para proteger los secretos. A mí la película me recordó a esos thrillers de los 90 y también principios de los 2000 que la verdad extrañaba, ahorita no hacen muchos así y me pareció que Travolta maneja el personaje con tanta calma que la verdad parece un ladrón experimentado que siempre tiene un plan.
Among the actors are Kristin Davis as Amelia the FBI agent, Lucas Haas as the troubled brother Shawn and Quavo who plays Anton one of the members of the team and the truth surprised me in his role because he also has some moments of humor that relieves the tension. The chemistry between Travolta and Davis is not the best but it is enough to keep that romantic tension that the story needs. What I liked is that the movie knows what it wants to offer and stays in that line, of course there are moments where logic goes out the window as when they break a hole in a brick wall and then when they pass the hole is completely different and there are other moments that I caught over there but bueh we are already used to that in this kind of movies. Another thing I liked is the rhythm because it keeps your attention during the whole time and something that is not very good are the special effects, some scenes look weird as if they were made with drones, plus there are some strange cuts especially at the beginning of the film that make some scenes look like rushed.
Entre los actores están Kristin Davis como Amelia la agente del FBI, Lucas Haas como el hermano problemático Shawn y Quavo quien hace de Anton uno de los miembros del equipo y la verdad me sorprendió en su papel porque también tiene algunos momentos de humor que alivia la tensión. La química entre Travolta y Davis no es la mejor pero es suficiente para mantener esa tensión romántica que necesita la historia. Lo que me gustó es que la película sabe lo que quiere ofrecer y se mantiene en esa línea, claro que hay momentos donde la lógica se va por la ventana como cuando rompen un agujero en una pared de ladrillos y después cuando pasan el aguajero es completamente diferente y hay otros momentos más que capté por allí pero bueh ya estamos acostumbrados a eso en este tipo de películas. Otra de las cosas que me gustó es el ritmo porque se mantiene la atención durante todo el tiempo y algo que no es muy bueno son los efectos especiales, algunas escenas se ven raras parece como si están hechas con drones, además que hay unos cortes extraños más que todo al principio de la película que hacen que algunas escenas se vean como apuradas.
The story has a lot of changes and I liked that because it keeps things interesting, like when they discover that the job is not what they thought and that they are involved in something much bigger and dangerous, that part of the revelation of the safe and what is inside is something I did not see coming and I thought it was a good strategy because it is not the same as always, Mason has to use all his experience to get through this impossible situation plus he is dealing with his feelings for Amelia who betrayed him but clearly still has feelings for him this is something that is common. The negotiation part between Mason and the authorities is good and I liked Travolta's performance here because he has the confidence of someone who has done this a thousand times. The ending is convenient because Mason manages to get out of the situation in a smart way and I actually liked that they didn't try to make a super complicated ending but kept things simple.
La historia tiene muchos cambios y eso me gustó porque hace que la cosa se mantenga interesante, como cuando descubren que el trabajo no es lo que pensaban y que están metidos en algo mucho más grande y peligroso, esa parte de la revelación de la caja fuerte y lo que tiene dentro es algo que no vi venir y me pareció buena estrategia porque n o es lo mismo de siempre, Mason tiene que usar toda su experiencia para pasar esta situación imposible además de que está lidiando con sus sentimientos hacia Amelia que lo traicionó pero claramente todavía tiene sentimientos por él esto si es algo que es común. La parte de la negociación entre Mason y las autoridades es buena y me gustó la actuación de Travolta aquí porque tiene la confianza de alguien que ha hecho esto mil veces. El final es conveniente porque Mason logra salir de la situación de una forma inteligente y la verdad me gustó que no trataron de hacer un final súper complicado sino que mantuvieron las cosas simples.
The problems with the movie are obvious, you can tell from the top that the budget wasn't huge and some characters are underdeveloped like the team members who aren't Mason or Shawn, there are also plot holes and that thing about the FBI just letting Mason go after the first heist is a little hard to believe. Also in some parts it seemed to me that the movie had been edited too much and it lacked scenes that would explain certain situations better, but I was clear of what I was watching and I have seen movies with much bigger budgets that have similar or worse problems, the important thing is that this one delivers what it promises because it is entertaining, it has action, romance, those twists you don't expect and it has John Travolta so you don't need more than that to have a good time.
Los problemas de la película son obvios, se nota por encima que el presupuesto no era enorme y algunos personajes están poco desarrollados como los miembros del equipo que no son Mason o Shawn, también hay huecos en la trama y eso de que el FBI simplemente deje ir a Mason después del primer atraco es un poco difícil de creer. También en algunas partes me pareció que la película había sido editada demasiado y le faltaban escenas que explicaran mejor ciertas situaciones, pero estaba clara de lo que estaba viendo y he visto películas con presupuestos mucho más grandes que tienen problemas similares o peores, lo importante es que esta cumple con lo que promete porque es entretenida, tiene acción, romance, esos cambios que no te esperas y tiene a John Travolta así que no necesitas más que eso para pasar un buen rato.
My score for Cash Out is 6/10, it's a straight up action movie that isn't going to change anyone's life or redefine the genre but it serves to entertain for the time it lasts, Travolta is still charismatic and believable in this type of role, what I liked is that the story has quite a few twists and turns and kept me interested. I think a lot of the negative reviews come from people who were expecting something different and the idea is to see it without having high expectations as it is a simple heist movie that will surely remind you of the action thrillers of the 90's when this kind of stories were more common. The good thing is that Travolta has fun in the role and that is something that is contagious, it is good to watch it on a weekend without thinking too much.

I have been waiting for a long time for the day that Squid Game Season 3 will be released on Netflix. I didn't wait any longer when I returned from the office yesterday—I sat straight in front of the screen without eating or refreshing myself. Today I finished the entire season, and now I am writing this article, unable to contain my excitement and love. I am a hardcore fan of Squid Game, and Season 3 has added another layer to the places I like.
The reason I like this season so much is that they have brought deeper human feelings and emotional tension than before. It is not just a survival game or a matter of killing and surviving, but this time the hidden past, sacrifices, and some unclear questions behind each character have been answered in Season 3, which many people had in mind after watching Season 2. Especially, there has been a new kind of transformation in the character of Gi-hun (Lee Jung-jae). He is no longer just a game player, but he has now become a symbol of fighting against this entire unjust system. His acting beautifully captures that inner pain, hesitation, and willpower.
Season 3 has given straightforward answers to many of the stories from the end of Squid Game Season 2. In particular, the questions about what happened to Jun-ho's (Wi Ha-joon) brother, Front Man, have reached a huge climax here. And a new character has arrived, played by Yoo Ji-tae as the game's new Controller. I am truly fascinated by the kind of mystery that emerges from his icy eyes, restrained dialogue, and cunning manner.
The biggest surprise of this season was a female character played by Kim Da-mi who enters the game for her child. The way she gradually becomes a brave and human character can bring tears to many eyes. Some of her scenes were absolutely heartwarming.
However, I was a little disappointed in some places. The VIP characters got more focus this season, but their dialogue and acting seemed very artificial to me. This was a problem in Season 1, and it's even more annoying this season. Also, some parts of Jun-ho's story felt a little drawn out to me, which didn't match the original thrill of the story. And some plot twists felt a little predictable to me, which is a bit disappointing for a series like Squid Game.
For those who haven't started watching Squid Game Season 3 yet, I'd say don't delay. This is not just a series, it's a symbol of a person's struggle for survival, the conflict between good and evil, and the distorted form of the social system. For those who have watched Season 1 and 2, Season 3 is a rich emotional pay-off.Squid Game is not just a story of blood-games, it's a story of our inner struggle where we fight for survival every day, play some game to survive. And this Season 3 has shown that reflection in a way that brings tears to the eyes and awakens a strength in the mind.
I can say today that Squid Game Season 3 has delivered more than I expected. And if you really want to know, if you want to see the best thriller, suspense, and social reality of this time together, you should not miss this season.
Last weekend, I had the chance to see a film with my Dad. It had been a minute since we did that and with everyone otherwise occupied in other parts of the house, we found a station playing a film he absolutely adored. My Dad is a huge fan of Morgan Freeman and he said the year this film was acted was a pivotal year in his life, so yeah, we turned up the volume and settled to see this cinematic masterpiece .
The Bucket List (2007)
Two elderly men meet for the first time at a hospital where they’ve both been diagnosed with terminal lung cancer. Carter who is a mechanic and Edward who is a billionaire and also the owner of the hospital they are in. The two of them discover common ground as they talk about their lives, their joys in life and their regrets. Carter playfully makes a bucket list of things to do before he dies but discards it when he finds out that he has just a year to live.
Edward finds this list and urges him to do everything on the list, promising to fund the financial expense. Reluctantly, Carter agrees, and with Edward who adds his own items to the list, they begin traipsing around the world, and ticking off items on their bucket list. With shared stories and disclosed confidences, these two try to make the most out of their time together as the clock of life ticks steadily but surely against them.
Just as much as you would laugh watching this, you’ve got to also have a box of tissues nearby. This movie is laced with so many heartfelt scenes that just leave you clutching your chest as tears roll down your cheek. I was drawn to all the lights and colours. First off, masterful direction by Robert Reiner and Justin Zackham also delivered a flawless script. It is predictable, especially if you seen it now instead of the almost two decades ago it was created, but it still does not leave you frustrated.
The casting for this movie was just sublime. Morgan Freeman and Jack Nicholson delivered in a way that only a natural does. At some point, you almost forget that these people are actors and just get lost in how into it they are, their chemistry and all. The family guy, Carter and the cynical billionaire divorcee, Edward. Their personalities are distinct just as their beliefs in life but they manage to make their friendship work in the best ways possible.
The movie is filled with fun, laughter, faith, trust, family and most of all, friendship. It is a brilliant piece if you want to a cinematic bonding with family and friends. I certainly had that with my Dad. I do understand, however, that this subject as it borders cancer is quite a touchy one and people may find all the humour in it offensive, as the illness is no fun-fair. It honestly depends on how you see it and what you hope to draw from it. Hope, guilt or despair. Hope you enjoy!

A algunos les ha funcionado el rapto de cupido, pero otros han pagado con cárcel su osadía.
Si la caza no funciona, se pueden visitar páginas de citas a ciegas, citas rápidas con casamenteros, parejas de compañía y la familia. En los últimos casos, matrimonios, asistidos, concertados, contratos, entre otros. Cada quien escoge el método que mejor le parezca. Y pregunto cómo en la película:

Puedo responder como el chiste. ¡Muérete, que no era pecado! Pero también como una mujer actual. ¡Nada de nada! El amor verdadero llega después con la convivencia.

Pero amigos de #Hive, se acaba, hace ¡Boom! y se esfuma.

Pero… el problema es consérvalo y que se quede a nuestro lado. Sin barrotes que les quite su libertad. Les aconsejo darle cariño, respeto, tolerancia y comprensión. Algunas veces nos enfrascamos en cosas que no valen la pena y desviamos la mirada a lo verdaderamente importante. Y permitimos que se apague el fuego y después no prende ni con gasolina.
Puede suceder que el amor está muy cerca y por andar viendo hacia otro lado y muy alto, no se dan cuenta de que está ahí. Y este amor, se cansa de esperar que lo vean y da la vuelta y busca y encuentra en otro lugar. Se quedan “sin el chivo y sin el mecate” como decimos los venezolanos.
La discriminación entre las razas, la religión, el amor y el matrimonio fueron los temas en los cuales se trató en el filme "¿Y qué tiene que ver el amor con esto? Por otro lado, felicitaciones para las actrices y actores, porque todos los personajes me gustaron. En especial, la actuación de Emma Thompson es excelente. En realidad, las madres, cuando las hijas llegan a una edad determinada, comienzan con el fastidio del matrimonio y de que se van a quedar a “vestir santos”. Unos aplausos para los padres de Kaz, y como ellos, hay muchos matrimonios en el mundo que han permanecido unidos, buscando un equilibrio a pesar de sus matrimonios haber sido arreglados. Donde la mayoría se conoció el día en que se casaron.
Zoe y Kaz, una linda pareja, muy dispareja. Entre estos dos, a pesar de que no hubo besos apasionados, su actuación es muy buena. Al final reconocen que entre ellos había química y amor. En definitiva, la historia de amor de estos dos “chiquilines”, es muy particular, pero cuando se trata de amor no hay peros que valgan ni reflexiones.

We are introduced to part of the culture of the Pakistani people. Wow. The marriage festivities of Kaz and Maymouna, is a beauty. The script is by Jemina Khan and it lasts about one hour and forty minutes.
For me the score of a film is fundamental and helps the plot to develop. There is a song they hear in the marketplace that, for me, is the most beautiful part. Their hearts meet and their souls recognize each other and they "Clip". I leave my heart squeezed with love and dreaming of true love.

Hello everyone, dear Movies and TV Shows community, I hope you're all well, as you can see, this time I'm here to give you my honest opinion of a series, and well, my people, make yourselves comfortable, bring yourselves a coffee, because today we're going to talk about Yellowstone... and seriously, where the hell have I been all this time? I know, I know, the series is YEARS old and everyone was talking about it, but I just got around to watching it and... wow! Seriously... wow, I just binged everything there is available and I'm still sort of processing it all, my head racing... First of all, have any of you seen it yet? Or are you thinking about getting into it? Because, honestly, the hype does have its reason to be, at least for a good part of it, I had heard little things, I saw it mentioned everywhere, I even saw some sports commentators discussing it live once... to give you an idea of how HUGE this series became, especially over there in the United States, from what I read, it became the most-watched series over there, with some crazy numbers!, like 12 million people watching the season premieres... and its rating on IMDb is very respectable... so, when I started, I said, 'okay, this has to be good, right?'
The plot goes more or less like this: it focuses on the Dutton family, led by the patriarch, John Dutton - played by Kevin Costner, who kills it in that role, seriously! He even won a Golden Globe for it, well deserved! They own this ridiculously HUGE ranch in Montana, crazy big! The largest in the US they say, the whole show is basically about their constant and pretty brutal fight to keep that land… it’s been in their family for generations, and literally everyone wants a piece of it… we’re talking real estate developers, corporations with tons of money, the neighboring Native American reservation which is led by a super cool chief with his own stories and legitimate grievances, even those pesky Californians who keep moving in… it’s a non-stop pressure, from all sides!
Hola a todos, querida comunidad de Movies and TV Shows, espero que estén bien, cómo verán, en esta ocasión les vengo a dar mi honesta opinión de una serie, y bueno, mi gente, pónganse cómodos, tráiganse un cafecito, porque hoy hablaremos de Yellowstone.. y en serio, ¿dónde carajos he estado metido todo este tiempo? Ya sé, ya sé, la serie tiene AÑOS y todo el mundo hablaba de ella, pero apenas me animé a verla y... ¡wow! en serio... wow, me acabo de echar todo lo que está disponible y todavía ando como procesando todo, con la cabeza a mil.. Primero que nada, ¿alguno de ustedes ya la vio? ¿O andan pensando en entrarle? Porque, honestamente, el hype sí tiene su razón de ser, por lo menos durante una buena parte, yo había escuchado cositas, la veía mencionada por todos lados, hasta vi a unos comentaristas deportivos discutiéndola en vivo una vez.. para que se den una idea de lo GIGANTE que se volvió esta serie, sobre todo allá en Estados Unidos, por lo que leí, llegó a ser la serie más vista por allá, con unos números ¡de locos!, tipo 12 millones de personas viendo los estrenos de temporada.. y su calificación en IMDb es muy respetable.. así que, cuando empecé, dije, ‘okey, esto tiene que estar bueno, ¿no?’.
La onda va más o menos así: se centra en la familia Dutton, liderada por el patriarca, John Dutton – interpretado por Kevin Costner, que la rompe en ese papel, ¡en serio!, hasta se llevó un Globo de Oro por eso, ¡merecidísimo! Son dueños de un rancho exageradamente GIGANTE en Montana, que locura de tamaño!, el más grande de Estados Unidos, según dicen, toda la serie es básicamente sobre su lucha constante y bien brutal por no perder esa tierra.. ha sido de su familia por generaciones, y literal, todo el mundo quiere un pedazo.. estamos hablando de desarrolladores inmobiliarios, corporaciones con un montón de plata, la reserva indígena vecina que está liderada por un jefe súper interesante con sus propias historias y reclamos legítimos, y hasta los californianos fastidiosos que se mudan para allá.. es una presión que no para, ¡por todos lados!
But the problems don’t just come from the outside, no way! The drama within the family is just as intense, or maybe even more so. John Dutton has children… well, he had four… the oldest, Lee, seemed like the most like him but… well, let’s just say he doesn’t last long in the story, then there’s Jamie, the lawyer son, super intelligent but what a complicated guy!, always caught between what he wants for himself and loyalty to the family… and THEN there’s Beth. Phew, Beth Dutton, played by Kelly Reilly, is a force of nature, a tough, brilliant, no-nonsense businesswoman who comes back to help her dad fight for the ranch.
And Casey, the youngest son, an ex-Navy SEAL who’s trying to balance his own family with the hustle and bustle of the ranch… the dynamic between all of them, especially John with his children, and that explosive argument between Beth and Jamie… is pure fire! Seriously, the story between them is murky, dark, and their first encounters are some of the most tense scenes in the series... that's what hooked me, I think. They sell it as a western, and yes, the Montana landscapes are spectacular! Beautiful... the mountains, the plains, they make you want to pack up everything and go there, the whole cowboy lifestyle, the horses, the cattle herding... things that I thought would bore me but not at all, they make it seem incredibly cool and even attractive, who would have thought! But it's much more than a simple western... I would describe it as a "western soap opera", like a good soap opera but with cowboys, it has that addictive thing of "Oh my God, what's going to happen now?!"
There are twists and turns in almost every episode, betrayals, tests of loyalty, violence that can be quite graphic, and then boom! Moments that leave you breathless. It feels like The Sopranos or Succession, but on a ranch. They operate by their own rules, bend and break laws, and do whatever it takes to protect what’s theirs. Nothing is off the table! My girlfriend and I were so close! The first season was… okay? a little slow maybe, just finding its rhythm. But the second and third… wow, incredible. There was one day, I swear, we spent like half a day just winding up. You finish an episode, look at the clock – it’s like 1 in the morning – and you know you should go to sleep, but you just look over at your partner and they’re like, “…one more, huh?” Before you know it, it’s already dawn and you’re trying to see if you can get another one in before real life calls.
Pero los problemas no vienen solo de afuera, ¡qué va! El drama dentro de la familia es igual de intenso, o capaz hasta más, John Dutton tiene hijos… bueno, tenía cuatro.. el mayor, Lee, parecía como el más parecido a él pero… bueno, digamos que no dura mucho en la historia, luego está Jamie, el hijo abogado, súper inteligente pero ¡qué complicado el tipo!, siempre atrapado entre lo que quiere para él y la lealtad a la familia.. y LUEGO está Beth. ¡Ufff, Beth Dutton, la interpreta Kelly Reilly y es.. una fuerza de la naturaleza, una mujer de negocios ruda, brillante, que no se anda con cuentos y que vuelve para ayudar a su papá a pelear por el rancho.
Y Casey, el hijo menor, un ex-Navy SEAL que anda viendo cómo balancea su propia familia con el jale del rancho.. la dinámica entre todos ellos, especialmente John con sus hijos, y ese pique ¡explosivo! entre Beth y Jamie… ¡es pura candela! En serio, la historia entre ellos es turbia, oscura, y sus primeros encontronazos son de las escenas más ¡tensas! de la serie.. eso fue lo que me enganchó, creo. Te la venden como un western, y sí, los paisajes de Montana son ¡espectaculares!, una belleza… las montañas, las llanuras, te dan unas ganas de empacar todo e irte para allá, todo ese estilo de vida cowboy, los caballos, arrear ganado… cosas que yo pensé que me iban a aburrir y para nada, lo hacen ver increíblemente cool y hasta atractivo, ¡quién diría! Pero es mucho más que un simple western.. la describiría como una “telenovela western”, como un culebrón de los buenos pero con vaqueros, tiene esa cosa adictiva de “¡Dios mío, qué va a pasar ahora?!”.
Hay giros y vueltas casi en cada capítulo, traiciones, pruebas de lealtad, violencia que puede ser bastante gráfica y de repente ¡pum!, momentos que te dejan sin aliento, se siente como Los Soprano o Succession pero en un rancho.. operan bajo sus propias reglas, doblan y rompen leyes, y hacen lo que sea necesario para proteger lo suyo.. nada está fuera de la mesa! Mi novia y yo quedamos ¡pegadísimos! La primera temporada estuvo… ¿okey?un poquito lenta quizás, como encontrando su ritmo. Pero la segunda, y tercera.. wow, increíble.. hubo un día, se los juro, que nos echamos como medio día puro vientdo.. y es que terminas un episodio, ves el reloj – es como la 1 de la mañana – y sabes que deberías irte a dormir, pero nomás te volteas a ver con tu pareja y dicen “… ¿uno más, no?”.. cuando te das cuenta, ya está amaneciendo y estás viendo si te echas otro antes de que la vida real te llame.
Okay, so a big part of why you get hooked on this show, at least for me, was Rip Wheeler and Beth Dutton... I mean, Rip, the ranch foreman, loyal to John Dutton to the death, a tough guy... and his vibe with Beth is... the best, they're my favorites, super intense, complicated, loyal to each other in their own twisted way... they just crack up on screen! But really, the whole cast is incredible, right? Costner's like the mainstay, obviously, but Kelly Reilly as Beth, Cole Hauser as Rip, Luke Grimes as Casey, Wes Bentley as Jamie... even characters like Lloyd, the ranch veteran! They all add their own special touch, and the show also delves into some interesting themes, you know? like the whole American Western vibe: freedom, being yourself, that toughness, fighting for what’s yours… but it also touches on the clash between the old and the new, caring for the land or building more, political moves, family legacy, betrayal, loyalty… it gets into a lot of things, and for a while they did it really well, without it seeming like they were lecturing you or that it was boring.
Buuuut… and this is where things get weird, and maybe that’s why I was hesitant to get into it before… it seems like it didn’t always maintain that high level, for me, around the third season, going into the fourth, the quality kind of started to go down, the writing, which was so good, so powerful, started to feel… I don’t know, weird? Repetitive? Even weak, I would say... that heavy fight between Beth and Jamie that I was telling you... at first it was captivating, it came from real pain, but four seasons later, it's the same round of threats and backstabbing over and over again, and the truth is, it's started to tire me out a little. Like, okay, okay, they hate each other, we get it! Can we continue with something else? and other characters seemed to go around in circles or the plot mistreated them just to create drama, there's a character, Monica, Casey's wife, who basically something horrible happens to her every blessed season, some trauma, depression...
After a while it felt like too much, you know? honestly, people on the internet say that she fast-forwards her scenes, and now I kind of understand them a little... that also dragged Casey's character down. Even Beth and Rip, when they were more relaxed as a couple, lost a bit of that dangerous spark that made them so great. Then, it seemed, the writers liked Beth so much that... they started making copies? Suddenly, other super-capable, sharp-tongued women appeared who felt like "lite" versions of Beth, whose only differences were their hair color or which "team" they played for... it felt like they took the easy way out, really.
Okay, gran parte de por qué te enganchas con esta serie, al menos para mí, fueron Rip Wheeler y Beth Dutton.. o sea, Rip, el capataz del rancho, leal a John Dutton a morir, un tipo durísimo... y su onda con Beth es.. lo máximo, son mis favoritos, super intensos, complicados, leales el uno al otro a su manera medio retorcida.. es que sacan chispas en pantalla! Pero, la verdad, todo el elenco es increíble, ¿eh? Costner es como el pilar, obvio, pero Kelly Reilly como Beth, Cole Hauser como Rip, Luke Grimes como Casey, Wes Bentley como Jamie... ¡hasta personajes como Lloyd, el veterano del rancho! Todos le ponen su toque especial, la serie también se mete con temas interesantes, ¿sabes? como toda esa onda del Oeste gringo: la libertad, ser tú mismo, esa rudeza, pelear por lo tuyo.. pero también toca el choque entre lo viejo y lo nuevo, cuidar la tierra o construir más, las movidas políticas, el legado familiar, traición, lealtad.. le entra a un montón de cosas, y por un buen rato lo hicieron súper bien, sin que pareciera que te estaban dando una clase o que fuera aburrido.
Peeero... y aquí es donde la cosa se pone rara, y quizá por eso yo dudaba en entrarle antes... como que no mantuvo ese nivelazo siempre, para mí, por ahí después de la tercera temporada, entrando a la cuarta, la calidad como que empezó a bajar, la escritura, que era tan buena, tan potente, se empezó a sentir... no sé, ¿rara? ¿Repetitiva? Hasta floja, te diría.. esa pelea tan heavy entre Beth y Jamie que les decía... al principio era atrapante, venía de un dolor real, pero cuatro temporadas después, es la misma vuelta de amenazas y puñaladas por la espalda una y otra vez, y la verdad, ya me empezó a cansar un poco. Como que, ¡ya, ok, se odian, lo entendimos! ¿Podemos seguir con otra cosa? y otros personajes como que daban vueltas en lo mismo o la trama los maltrataba solo para meter drama, hay un personaje, Monica, la esposa de Casey, que básicamente cada bendita temporada le pasa algo horrible, algún trauma, depresión...
Ya después de un tiempo se sentía como mucho, ¿sabes? la verdad, la gente en internet dice que adelanta sus escenas, y ahora como que los entiendo un poco.. eso también arrastraba al personaje de Casey. Incluso Beth y Rip, cuando ya estaban más tranquilos como pareja, perdieron un poco de esa chispa peligrosa que los hacía tan geniales, luego, como que a los guionistas les gustó tanto Beth que... ¿empezaron a hacer copias? De repente salían otras mujeres súper capaces y con lengua filosa que se sentían como versiones 'light' de Beth, que solo cambiaban por el color de pelo o para qué 'equipo' jugaban.. se sintió como que tomaron el camino fácil, la verdad.
Well, the main story, the plot itself, also kind of started to get stretched out a bit too much, you know? At first, the first few seasons, you had super-clear villains you could believe, the guys they wanted to build up, Chief Rainwater, the Beck brothers, who were actually scary! But later on, things felt less focused. Season 4 really kicked off after that crazy ending in Season 3, but then it kind of started to digress. It felt like that central "us against the world" struggle was lost a bit, that vibe that made the first seasons so exciting, and Season 5, well, the first part at least, felt even more like a slow-burn political drama, kind of like a family soap opera, and with the same threat from that corporation that's been nagging us since Season 3... seems like people noticed, huh?
They say the ratings went through the floor in that first half... it went from being one of those nail-biting shows to having, I don't know, 10 or 15 minutes of something really good in each hour-long episode, and the rest was just so-so. On top of that, add in all the behind-the-scenes nonsense now, like Kevin Costner is leaving or already left before the final episodes, or maybe there's a beef with the creator, Taylor Sheridan... Sheridan, by the way, is the one who created the show and, watch out!, it seems like since season 3 he started writing all the episodes himself... if you look at the list of other things he has in the works - like other shows and movies, the spin-offs like 1883 and 1923 (which I haven't seen, but they say they're good) - he took on too much at once... maybe Yellowstone, the main series, the original, started to pay the price for that. So, after all this, what's my final verdict? Is Yellowstone worth watching or not? Look, despite the drop in standards in recent seasons and all the off-camera noise...
I still think so, especially, especially!, the first three seasons... it's really good television - it hooks you in, it's spectacularly filmed, the acting is top-notch, with characters you'll love, hate, and root for, sometimes all at the same time, it's like an epic saga, kind of chaotic, violent, and even has its weird romantic touch. The thing is... it's infuriating, you know? It's frustrating! Because it was SO good, I'd easily give it a 9 or 9.5 out of 10 at the beginning... but that drop in the quality of the writing in the later seasons lowers the rating, overall, I think I'd stick with an 8/10. It's still better than a lot of stuff out there, and the good moments it had were great... you just have to be mentally prepared for the fact that towards the end it loses a bit of steam, it slows down a bit... and well, that would be all for today, we'll see you soon... take care of yourselves, bye!

Al principio, las primeras temporadas, tenías villanos súper claros y que te creías, los tipos que querían construir, el Jefe Rainwater, ¡los hermanos Beck que sí daban miedo de verdad! Pero ya después, como que la cosa se sintió menos centrada, la temporada 4 arrancó con todo después de ese final de locos de la 3, pero luego como que se puso a divagar. Como que se perdió un poco esa lucha central de "nosotros contra el mundo", esa vibra que hacía que las primeras temporadas fueran tan emocionantes, y la temporada 5, bueno, la primera parte al menos, se sintió todavía más como un drama político a fuego lento, medio telenovela familiar, y con la misma amenaza de la empresa esa que viene dando lata desde la temporada 3.. parece que la gente se dio cuenta, ¿eh?
Dicen que los ratings se fueron al piso en esa primera mitad.. pasó de ser de esas series que te comes las uñas a tener, qué sé yo, 10 o 15 minutos de algo realmente bueno en cada capítulo de una hora, el resto, meh. Encima, súmale todo el rollo que hay detrás de cámaras ahora, que si Kevin Costner se va o ya se fue antes de los últimos capítulos, que si hay bronca con el creador, Taylor Sheridan.. este Sheridan, por cierto, es el que creó la serie y, ¡ojo!, parece que desde la temporada 3 empezó a escribir todos los capítulos él solito.. si ves la lista de otras cosas que tiene andando – como más series y películas, los spin-offs como 1883 y 1923 (que no he visto, pero dicen que están buenos) agarró demasiadas cosas al mismo tiempo.. a lo mejor Yellowstone, la serie principal, la original, empezó a pagar los platos rotos por eso. Así que, después de todo esto, ¿cuál es mi veredicto final? ¿Vale la pena ver Yellowstone o no? Miren, a pesar de que bajó el nivel en las últimas temporadas y todo este ruido fuera de cámaras...
Yo todavía creo que sí, obre todo, ¡sobre todo!, las primeras tres temporadas.. es televisión de la buena, de verdad – te engancha, está filmada espectacular, las actuaciones son de primera, con personajes que vas a amar, odiar y apoyar, a veces todo al mismo tiempo, es como una saga épica, medio caótica, violenta y hasta tiene su toque romántico raro. Lo que pasa es que... da coraje, ¿saben? ¡Frustra! Porque era DEMASIADO buena, fácil yo le ponía un 9 o 9.5 de 10 al principio.. pero esa caída en la calidad de la escritura en las últimas temporadas, pues le baja la calificación, en general, yo creo que me quedaría con un 8/10. Sigue siendo mejor que un montón de cosas que andan por ahí, y los momentos buenos que tuvo fueron geniales.. nomás tienes que ir mentalizado de que hacia el final pierde un poco de fuerza, le baja un poquito el ritmo.. y bueno, eso sería todo por hoy, nos veremos pronto.. cuidense mucho, byebye!

Otro que destacó mucho fue Jonah Hill, pues pude ver que es algo más que su típico papel de adolescente cansino, dando sobriedad al analista detrás del éxito de esos Oakland Athletics.

There is not much complexity in the plot really, everything is well explained and best of all, there is a clear ending without much confusion.
The negative thing I see is a little more depth in the characters, to understand them better, especially in the protagonist, to understand him better and his longing to be human, something was missing. In addition, the pace also becomes slow a little more than halfway through the story, so it makes the attention to the details of the given arguments decay.

Shin Woo-yeo puede parecer un escritor guapo e inteligente, pero, realmente es un gumiho o zorro de 9 colas que ha vivido 999 años, recolectando energía humana a través de su perla roja, misma que debe ser azul para poder convertirse en un humano y la cual se romperá en el transcurso de 1 año si no termina de recoger toda esa energía necesaria. Sin embargo, su sueño toma un giro inesperado, cuando una estudiante universitaria de historia, Lee Dam, se traga accidentalmente su preciada perla.

¿Cómo se desarrollará la convivencia y la relación de estos dos? ¿será capaz nuestro protagonista de cumplir su sueño de ser humano?
En lo personal, esta historia se me hizo muy divertida y fresca, las químicas entre los protagonistas fueron muy dinámica y las interpretaciones de cada uno fue muy bien ejecutada, me hizo introducirme a la historia misteriosa que nos estaban dando, agregando un toque de humor, que la enriquece en muchos sentidos, sobre todo con la protagonista, sus ocurrencias y expresiones se me hicieron auténticas y espontaneas. No hay mucha complejidad en la trama en realidad, todo se explica bien y lo mejor de todo, hay un final claro y sin mucha confusión.
Lo negativo que le veo, es un poquito más de profundidad en sus personajes, para lograr comprenderlos mucho mejor, más que nada en el protagonista, entenderlo mejor y su anhelo de ser humano, falto como que algo. Aunado el ritmo, también se vuelve lento como un poco más de la mitad de la historia, por lo que hace decaer la atención en los detalles de los argumentos dados.

I like the fact that the film seems to be a social critique of something that has always existed but is certainly very current today, wars, that absurd insistence on obtaining power and resources only brings hatred, destruction and death.
El mar de putrefacción, osea, la jungla tóxica tiene su propia fauna y equilibrio, de allí provienen unos insectos gigantes a los que la gente teme y repudia, pero Nausicaä es la única que siente respeto por ellos, porque entiende la importancia de su existencia. Por mi parte yo creo que son de alguna manera como la representación de la voracidad de la naturaleza, ella puede ser gentil pero también una fuerza arrebatadora que despierta muchas veces por causa la irresponsabilidad del hombre. Me gusta el hecho de que la película parece ser una crítica social a algo que siempre ha existido pero que por cierto está muy vigente hoy en día, las guerras, esa absurda insistencia de obtener poder y recursos solo trae odio, destrucción y muerte.

In summary, this film teaches us the value of planet earth for human beings and why we should take care of the ecosystem, that absurd wars that only bring destruction are useless, I think our protagonist represents an alternative to violence and destruction. I have watched the two seasons that have been released and I really don't regret for a second that I made that decision because this series is absolutely fascinating in every aspect of the work. For those who have not seen this anime I tell you in a general way that the story is about the adventures of Maomao, a young talented apprentice apothecary living in the Tang Dynasty era of imperial China, who is forced to work as a servant after being kidnapped and sold to the inner palace. Our protagonist is curious and very intelligent by nature, which is why she is ready to solve the many mysteries and enigmas inside the imperial city.
Les comento que he visto las dos temporadas que han salido a la luz y de verdad no me arrepiento ni un segundo de haber tomado esa decisión porque esta serie es absolutamente fascinante en todos los aspectos de la obra. Para los que no han visto este anime les cuento de forma general que la historia trata de las aventuras de Maomao, una joven talentosa aprendiz de boticaria que vive en la época de la dinastía Tang de la China imperial, que se ve obligada a trabajar como sirvienta después de ser secuestrada y vendida al palacio interior. Nuestra protagonista es de naturaleza curiosa y muy inteligente, es por eso que está lista para resolver los muchos misterios y enigmas que hay dentro de la ciudad imperial.
