Life is a complicated journey as Elizabeth says, but we human beings are free to walk it the way we want, in search of our dreams and to build it for our benefit. To run, or to jog in order not to get tired, to pause when we are exhausted and when the day to day suffocates us. At the beginning our parents help us, then they push us and motivate us to keep going. At least this is what is expected, but it may not happen.

It is in the childhood stage that adult guidance is required. Sometimes I am a bit extreme on the subject of parents, parenting and family. But for me they are the fundamental piece in the formation of the character and the way of behaving of human beings, especially the role of Mothers. It is in childhood and adolescence where traumas or positive moments of joy that will govern us all our lives begin and are marked.

On this subject, psychologists have made many approaches and emphasized the importance of these early years for human beings to incorporate and adapt to society. However, some parents do not take it into consideration.

As a child, any attitude from adults, no matter how small, carries a great emotional burden. However, despite having a difficult history, there are many who manage to get out of the hole where they have arrived. They recognize their mistakes and start a new life, assuming their responsibilities to society. Their experiences help them to grow spiritually and develop their full potential.

On this subject, psychologists have made many approaches and emphasized the importance of these early years for human beings to incorporate and adapt to society. However, some parents do not take it into consideration.

Some people, when it comes to vicious and toxic circles, fail to break these patterns and this results in them not making decisions and holding others responsible for their failures. They constantly punish themselves and compare themselves with others. Above all, they have low self-esteem and this leads them to be submissive people who allow all kinds of abuses.

In “The Life List”, sensitive issues are dealt with and there is a lot to cut through. Sometimes you stop dreaming, believing in yourself and fighting for your goals to please others or because some event changed your perspective. At first glance Alex is a normal girl, but when you look at her attitudes you see that she is controversial. What she thinks goes on the one hand, what she feels on the other and how she acts.

In this film, Alex takes us by the hand of his very personal world and the other where he lives by appearances. In which he feels he was never a part of and only shared it with his mother. Deep inside, he always knew there was a mystery. In turn, her siblings felt their mother's preference for her. They, too, felt left out. Similarly, Alex, she felt that her father ignored her.

It is an endless chain, in which the whole family is involved, due to misunderstandings and lack of communication. Alex's problem directly involves her brothers, Lucas and Julian. She is an insecure young woman, unable to fight for what she wants. Her mother wanted her to find her way and her purpose in life, which is reflected in her wish list and where her dreams and desires are implicit. As her mother Elizabeth says:

“This list is a reflection of who you are.”

Pero es que para mí son la pieza fundamental en la formación del carácter y la manera de comportarse de los seres humanos, sobre todo el papel de las Madres. Es en la infancia y en la adolescencia donde comienzan y quedan marcados los traumas o los momentos en positivo, de alegría que nos han de gobernar toda la vida. De este tema, los psicólogos han hecho muchos planteamientos e hincapié sobre la importancia de estos primeros años para los seres humanos incorporarse y adaptarse a la sociedad. Sin embargo, algunos padres no lo toman en consideración. Cuando se es niño, cualquier actitud de los adultos, por muy pequeña que sea, conlleva una gran carga emocional. Sin embargo, a pesar de tener una historia difícil, hay muchos que logran salir del hueco donde han llegado. Reconocen sus errores y comienzan una nueva vida, asumiendo sus responsabilidades ante la sociedad. Sus experiencias los ayudan a crecer espiritualmente y desarrollar todo su potencial. Algunas personas, en lo que respecta a los círculos viciosos y tóxicos, no logran romper con esos esquemas y esto les trae como consecuencia que no toman decisiones y responsabilizan a otros de sus fracasos. Constantemente se autocastigan y comparan con otros. Sobre todo, tienen la autoestima baja y esto los lleva a ser personas sumisas que permiten todo tipo de abusos. En “The Life List”, se tratan temas delicados y de los cuales hay mucha tela que cortar. Algunas veces se deja de soñar, de creer en uno mismo y de luchar por sus metas para complacer a otros o porque algún evento cambió la perspectiva. A simple vista Alex es una chica normal, pero cuando vez sus actitudes se observa que ella es controversía. Lo que piensa va, por un lado, lo que siente por otro y cómo actúa. En esta película, Alex nos lleva de la mano de su mundo muy personal y el otro donde vive de apariencias. En el cual siente que nunca formó parte y solo lo compartía con la madre. Muy dentro de sí, siempre supo que había un misterio. A su vez, sus hermanos sintieron la preferencia de su madre por ella. También ellos se creyeron relegados. De igual manera, Alex, considero que su padre la ignoraba. Es una cadena sin fin, en la cual toda la familia está involucrada, por malos entendidos y falta de comunicación. El problema de Alex, involucra directamente a sus hermanos, Lucas y Julián. Ella es una joven insegura, incapaz de luchar por lo que quiere. Su madre deseaba que ella encontrara su camino y su propósito de vida, lo cual plasma en su lista de deseos y donde quedaron implícitos sus sueños y anhelos. Como dice su madre Elizabeth: “Esta lista es un reflejo de lo que eres.”

I believe that no human being is prepared for our life's journey. Along the way we even the burdens, rectify, fall down and get up. You must also let go of fears to face the obstacles that are encountered. Yes, it is necessary to go to a psychologist to let go of childhood and adolescent traumas.

Perhaps, some people need more strength to move forward and not die trying. "Tears of the Sun" is a story with many mixed feelings to which the protagonists give answers and this helps them to heal and find themselves.

My emotions made me shake so many paradigms of society and reaffirm that we live in a world of appearances so as not to expose our true feelings and present them to others. Also, sometimes we live the life that others want and leave aside what really makes us happy.

One of the aspects that I consider most relevant in a film is the environment and the spaces where it was filmed. I always imagine myself passing through those places I don't know. To live and feel like the protagonist. This helps me to connect with the characters.

This movie is not just an animation for kids . It's like a subtle reflection of what's going on inside our heads , especially when a new character named Anxiety appears . It's so relatable... so touching .

•From Joy to Anxiety : Our Emotions Mature Too

Riley is now a teenager , and like many of us , her life is getting more complicated . What was once Joy , Sadness , Anger , Fear , and Disgust - now comes an army of new emotions . And Anxiety is immediately dominant . He speaks fast , his eyes are big , and his energy is high like after drinking 5 cups of coffee .

From the video I watched , it really felt like Anxiety wasn't an evil character .. It's like an emotion that has good intentions , but makes us overthink , stressed , and sometimes even stuck in place .

•Even though it's only through YouTube, the emotions still arrive

I watched it on the Mistake Redeemed channel and it was quite powerful. Some scenes in the video made me feel like I was looking into my own head. Riley trying to be someone else to be accepted... duh, it's an old story that is still repeated often.

I've been in that position. Where I pretend to be happy, pretend to be strong, but in my heart? It's chaos. And this movie-even though I watched it on YouTube-is reminding me to slowly make peace with my own feelings.

•Anxiety is not an enemy , but an alarm...!

Anxiety sometimes arises at important moments : when you want to make a decision , when you feel inadequate , or when you realize the world is moving too fast . It's like a friend who panics but actually loves us.

And through Inside Out 2 , I learned one important thing : not all anxiety needs to be banished . Sometimes we just need to listen to them , talk to them, and not reject them outright .

•Learning from Colorful Emotions

Pixar is good at incorporating the concept of emotion into simple yet profound visuals. Even from the YouTube video, you can feel the increasingly complex vibe of Riley's control room. Anxiety's hair that looks like tangled wires, her anxious expression, everything makes us think, "I have her in my head too."

•Messages that Get stuck in the Head...!

What stuck with me the most was : that being human is complicated , but that's not a bad thing . We have many voices in our heads , many feelings in our hearts , and they all want to be heard . This movie reminded me not to be too hard on myself .

We don't always have to be the perfect version...Sometimes it's by accepting our fears , anxieties , and failures that we get to know who we really are...

The name of the movie is Blancanieves a little different, a little quiet, but a heart-touching story. This movie left a deep impression on me, so I thought I would share my personal experiences and thoughts with you too. It feels great to share it with you. ‎ ‎I always love watching movies that are a little different, a little quiet, but heart-touching. Blancanieves is just that kind of movie. When I first heard the name, I thought it would be something like Snow White? But as soon as I started watching the movie, I realized that it was something completely different. It can be said that this movie is one of the most realistic, most exceptional fairy tales I have ever seen. ‎ ‎ Image source ‎

Story summary and my review.

‎The story is about a girl named Blanca, who was born into the family of a famous bullfighter. Her mother's death, her father's accident, and the cruelty of her stepmother Encarna all made her childhood very difficult. The character of her stepmother is shown so realistically that sometimes I felt anger, hatred, and helplessness all at once. Seeing such cruel treatment of a little girl breaks my heart. Blanca later runs away from home. On the way, she meets some dwarf bullfighters. From here, the story takes a different turn. Blanca gradually discovers the power hidden within her. She becomes a bullfighter herself which was completely unimaginable at that time. I really liked this place of a girl breaking the rules of society and creating her own place.

‎To be honest, I never imagined that such a beautiful black-and-white movie could be made. Every frame is like a picture, worth holding in your eyes. The play of light and shadow, facial expressions, camera angles, everything together is a great visual experience. There is no dialogue here, yet every moment speaks. When Blanca touches her father's face, or when she stands in the bullfighting ring, these scenes are presented in such a way that tears come to the eyes. Since there are no words, music is the main language here. And this music, to be honest, touches the heart. At each moment, the melody has been used in such a way that I felt the pain buried in my chest. She is not just a girl, she is a symbol of struggle, courage, love, and suffering. Blanca has become a character for me who will be remembered for a long time. She is soft, yet tough; she cries, and stands up again. Bullfighting, clothing, and folk customs are beautifully portrayed. The tradition of Spain has become a character here. ‎ ‎ ‎ Image source ‎

‎😐 What I found a little bad or difficult: ‎To be honest, not everyone will be able to watch this movie. For those who are looking for action, dialogue, and fun, it may also be boring. I myself checked my mobile repeatedly for the first 15 minutes, but when I started watching it with my mind—everything changed. The pace of the movie felt quite slow at some places. Some scenes were a little too long, which if they had been a little shorter would have been more acceptable for the general audience. I wanted a happy ending. But this movie doesn't give us that familiar ending of our fairy tale story. Blanca's story ends with suffering, and that in a way takes the reality of this movie to a higher level. Still, I wanted some peace in my heart. I sat in silence for a long time while watching this movie. I didn't feel like talking to anyone. I went into a trance. It felt like I myself had become a part of that story. Sometimes I thought, maybe there are many Blancas around me those who endure silently, struggle, but can never tell their stories. Blanca has taught me courage, taught me to dream even in the midst of suffering. I watch many such movies, I like them, but after how many movies do I feel like this? ‎

So, if you want to change your eye habits, if your heart wants to float in some new colors, then you must watch this movie. Watch it, feel yourself, and then tell me how much your world has changed. ‎

And we're back with the One Piece anime, I've been a little absent from everything because a week ago I had a wisdom tooth extraction and the recovery has been quite slow, so I didn't want to be so long sitting at the pc, but now I feel better and I'm looking forward to continue making posts. This week's episode of One Piece anime, 1133, adapts in its entirety the whole chapter 1099 of the manga, which, I consider that this episode of the anime surpassed what was seen in the pages of the manga, since besides having made an excellent adaptation by adding new scenes compared to the manga and also extending some scenes compared to certain vignettes of the manga, also the musical work and the voices of the characters were quite outstanding. This was an episode that like in the manga felt quite fast to watch and although interesting things happen, they really happen quite fast or at least that was my perspective and it felt more like a transitional episode/chapter of what is to come, which is more interesting and informative, although that does not mean that this particular one was not.

Episode 1133 of the One Piece anime begins by showing us the wreckage and chaos being caused by the King and his lackeys, who let's remember that previously the Revolutionary Army had driven them out and overthrown them, but in the previous episode we were shown that they had returned with more vengeance. The King's lackeys have set a huge fire in the poorest village in the kingdom, thus killing a lot of people and although Kuma went to their aid, it was already too late. I must emphasize that both in the manga and in the anime, Kuma's fury at that moment was spectacularly represented, being this one of the drawings that Oda has done where the anger of a character is quite projected and in the anime they also made an excellent adaptation of that page of the manga.

Kuma goes to the king's palace and after defeating his lackeys, he attacks the king by expelling them once and for all. Being later that the action of Kuma was reported directly to Saturn, which is the cause of almost all the bad things that Kuma has lived. A little time passes and peace returns to the kingdom and this time Kuma was elected as the new king of the kingdom, being a decision that Kuma does not like much, but even so he accepts in a certain way. In this moment where we see for the first time Bonney's adult form, something that surprises everyone since it was something totally unexpected, everyone believes that she has eaten an “Akuma No Mi”; although that will be explained later, because it really wasn't like that.

The real king of the country goes to the church to show Kuma what is being said about him in the newspapers and Kuma is branded as a throwaway who has expelled the former king with violence, so Kuma decides to leave the kingdom as he can not live there while they have the threat of the former king on them, so he decides to leave and also go in search of the cure for Bonney's disease. On his journey he finds the former King of the Sorbet kingdom along with a fleet of ships that are going to attack him and this moment in the anime was done in a spectacular way, not only because the animation when Kuma attacks the ships is visually outstanding, but the animators, as a way of joke recreated the famous Willem Dafoe meme, which for this situation where they are seeing that Kuma is charging a huge attack towards them, fits perfectly. This way Kuma wipes out the king and the navy fleet once and for all. Although I can't explain why Kuma didn't finish off this king earlier when he was attacking the palace.

Anyway, Kuma begins his journey towards finding something or someone that can help Bonney cure his illness, during his journey we see the places where Kuma would send the Straw Hats after he separated them in the Sabaody Archipelago. Which is something quite interesting to see since we are shown that Kuma didn't send them to random places, but rather he had those places already pretty much planned out so that Luffy, Zoro and the others, could train very well. Later Kuma meets Dragon and the Revolutionary Army again and Dragon tells him to go meet Vegapunk, which he is sure he will help him find the cure for Bonney's illness. Kuma goes with Bonney to where Vegapunk is, which would be the island that would later be called “Egghead” and curiously at that point in the story Vegapunk had not yet cut off his head and much less had made his clones (Satelites). And after an interesting conversation between Kuma and Vegapunk, in which Kuma agrees to be a kind of experiment for Vegapunk to the point of making clones of him since Vegapunk is surprised to learn that Kuma is a Buccaneer, begins what would be the beginning of the “end of Kuma's consciousness”, since he would start the “Pacifist” project.

A pretty good episode, excellently adapted, which I personally liked much more than the pages of the manga. Unfortunately the next episode is a compilation of past episodes, so to see the continuation of this story we will have to wait a week and a few days more.

Y estamos de vuelta con el anime de One Piece, he estado un poco ausente de todo porque hace una semana tuve una extracción de cordal y la recuperación ha sido algo bastante lenta, por lo que no quería estar tanto tiempo sentando en la pc, pero ya me siento mejor y con ganas de seguir haciendo posts. El episodio de One Piece del anime de esta semana, el 1133 adapta en su totalidad todo el capítulo 1099 del manga, el cual, considero que este episodio del anime supero a lo visto en las páginas del manga, ya que además de haber hecho una excelente adaptación al agregar nuevas escenas a comparación del manga y además, extender algunas escenas a comparación a ciertas viñetas del manga, también el trabajo musical y en las voces de los personajes estuvo bastante sobresaliente. Este fue un episodio que al igual que en el manga se sintió bastante rápido de ver y es que aunque ocurren cosas interesantes realmente pasan bastante rápido o al menos así fue mi perspectiva y lo sentí más bien como un episodio/capitulo transitorio de lo que viene, lo cual es más interesante e informativo, aunque eso no quiere decir que este en concreto no lo fuese.

El episodio 1133 del anime de One Piece empieza mostrándonos el destrozo y el caos que está provocando el Rey y sus lacayos, que recordemos que anteriormente el Ejército Revolucionario los había expulsado y derrocado, pero en el episodio anterior se nos mostró que había vuelto con más venganza. Los lacayos del rey han provocado un enorme incendio en el pueblo más pobre del reino, matando así a un montón de personas y aunque Kuma fue en su ayuda, ya era demasiado tarde. Debo destacar que tanto en el manga, como en el anime se logró representar espectacularmente la furia de Kuma en ese momento, siendo este una de los dibujos que ha hecho Oda donde refleja la ira de un personaje se ve bastante proyectada y en el anime también hicieron una excelente adaptación de esa página del manga.

Kuma va hacia el palacio del rey y al derrotar a sus lacayos este ataca al rey expulsándolos de una vez por todas. Siendo posteriormente que la acción de Kuma fue informada directamente hacia Saturn, el cual es el causante de casi todas las cosas malas que ha vivido Kuma. Pasa un poco de tiempo y la paz vuelve al reino y esta vez Kuma fue elegido como el nuevo rey del reino, siendo una decisión a la que Kuma no le gusta mucho, pero aun asa acepta de cierta manera. En este momento donde vemos por primera vez la forma adulta de Bonney, algo que sorprende a todos ya que fue algo totalmente inesperado, todos creen que ella ha comido una “Akuma No Mi”; aunque eso se va a explicar mas adelante, porque realmente no fue así.

El verdadero rey del país va a la iglesia para mostrarle a Kuma lo que se está diciendo sobre él en los periódicos y es que tachan a Kuma de un tirado que ha expulsado al anterior rey con violencia, por lo que Kuma decide irse del reino ya que no podrá vivir ahí mientras tengan la amenaza del anterior rey sobre ellos, por lo que decide partir y además, ir en búsqueda de la cura para la enfermedad de Bonney. En su viaje encuentra al anterior Rey del reino Sorbet junto con una flota de barcos que van a atacarlo y este momento en el anime fue hecho de manera espectacular, no solo porque la animación cuando Kuma ataca a los barcos es visualmente sobresaliente, sino que los animadores, como forma de chiste recrearon el famoso meme de Willem Dafoe, el cual para esta situación donde están viendo que Kuma está cargando un enorme ataque hacia ellos, queda a la perfección. De esta manera Kuma acaba con el rey y la flota de la marina de una vez por todas. Aunque no me explico porque Kuma no acabo con este rey anteriormente cuando fue atacar el palacio.

En fin, Kuma empieza su viaje hacia la búsqueda de algo o alguien que pueda ayudar a Bonney a curar su enfermedad, durante su viaje vemos de los lugares a donde Kuma enviaría a Los Sombrero de Paja luego de que él los separara en el Archipiélago de Sabaody. Lo cual es algo bastante interesante de ver ya que se nos muestra que Kuma no los envió a lugares aleatorios, sino que tenía ya esos lugares bastante planeados para que Luffy, Zoro y los demás, pudieran entrenar muy bien. Posteriormente Kuma se encuentra nuevamente con Dragon y el Ejército Revolucionario y Dragón le dice que vaya a conocer Vegapunk, el cual está seguro que él lo ayudara a encontrar la cura para la enfermedad de Bonney. Kuma va junto con Bonney hacia donde se encuentra Vegapunk, la cual sería la isla que posteriormente se llamaría “Egghead”y curiosamente en ese punto de la historia Vegapunk aún no se había cortado su cabeza y mucho menos había hechos a sus clones (Satelites). Y luego de una interesantemente conversación entre Kuma y Vegapunk, en la que Kuma acepta ser una especie de experimento para Vegapunk a tal punto de hacer clones de él ya que Vegapunk se sorprende al enterarse de que Kuma es un Buccaner, empieza lo que sería el inicio del “fin de la conciencia de Kuma”, ya que iniciaría el proyecto de los “Pacifista”.

Un episodio bastante bueno, excelentemente adaptado, el cual personalmente me gustó mucho más que las páginas del manga. Lastimosamente el próximo episodio es uno recopilatorio de episodios pasados, por lo que para poder ver la continuación de esta historia tendremos que esperar una semana y unos días mas.

Set in the peaceful (but fictional) city of Colorado (in the United States), South Park is a sitcom aimed primarily at an adult audience. In the plot (which is fueled by diverse events, since it focuses on the lives of the inhabitants who live in a community in this place and how they relate to each other in the face of the most diverse everyday situations), four children (Stan Marsh, Kyle Broflovski, Eric Cartman and Kenny McCormick) lead an excellent animated cast, and in each episode, the audience follows them on their adventures full of absurd and very comical moments.

Without a doubt, the idea behind this project has remarkable creative potential, and immeasurable reach. It is no coincidence that the work done by the duo Trey Parker and Matt Stone (the minds behind this TV series developed by Brian Garden, especially for the Comedy Central channel) has been on the small screen since 1997, the year it was launched, with an enviable narrative consistency, because it keeps up to date with the most relevant things happening in the world. Any and all types of real-life situations take on anarchic overtones here, and that is the “magic” of the project.

The dynamics established within each episode mix a range of elements, which have as their main foundation the adventures in which each character is inserted, and at the same time, using acidity, dark humor, wit and a small list of swear words that have already become a kind of “identity” in this sitcom. In addition, the project bets on surreal approaches (some far beyond the trivial) to talk about routine topics, and with that, it manages to break (although not completely) social taboos that are normally not discussed so easily or frequently.

The protagonists have distinct personalities, and this favors the growth of conflicts between them. Just like other characters (in this case, the supporting characters) are also very different from each other, fostering a diversity of concepts and ideas that only makes this series grow even more in its narrative quality. Even characters that only appear in a single episode (special appearances, which are usually a good satire of famous personalities in real life in different types of segments) are usually very well worked within this “madness”.

Even though it has a purposefully “sloppy” technical production and very simple lines, this is a very intelligent animated sitcom (although it is not visually beautiful), and it relies on a much more “peculiar” type of humor to create its space and win fans around the world, having as its main asset making jokes (which oscillate in their approaches) with sharp timing and captivating characters. This is definitely a sitcom that needs to be more prominent because the essence of what it brings is not something easy to replicate (especially in the world of television).

En la trama (impulsada por diversos acontecimientos, ya que se centra en la vida de los habitantes de una comunidad de este lugar y en cómo se relacionan entre sí ante las más diversas situaciones cotidianas), cuatro niños (Stan Marsh, Kyle Broflovski, Eric Cartman y Kenny McCormick) lideran un excelente elenco animado, y en cada episodio, el público los sigue en sus aventuras llenas de momentos absurdos y muy cómicos.

Sin duda, la idea detrás de este proyecto posee un potencial creativo notable y un alcance inconmensurable. No es casualidad que el trabajo del dúo Trey Parker y Matt Stone (los cerebros detrás de esta serie de televisión desarrollada por Brian Garden, especialmente para el canal Comedy Central) haya estado en la pantalla chica desde 1997, año de su lanzamiento, con una consistencia narrativa envidiable, ya que se mantiene al día con los acontecimientos más relevantes del mundo. Cualquier tipo de situación de la vida real adquiere aquí connotaciones anárquicas, y esa es la “magia” del proyecto.

La dinámica de cada episodio combina diversos elementos, basados en las aventuras de cada personaje, y a la vez, recurre a la acidez, el humor negro, el ingenio y una pequeña lista de palabrotas que ya se han convertido en una especie de "identidad" en esta comedia. Además, el proyecto apuesta por enfoques surrealistas (algunos que van mucho más allá de lo trivial) para abordar temas cotidianos, rompiendo así (aunque no del todo) tabúes sociales que normalmente no se discuten con tanta facilidad ni frecuencia.

Los protagonistas tienen personalidades distintas, lo que favorece el desarrollo de conflictos entre ellos. Al igual que otros personajes (en este caso, los secundarios), también son muy diferentes entre sí, lo que fomenta una diversidad de conceptos e ideas que impulsa aún más la narrativa de la serie. Incluso personajes que solo aparecen en un episodio (apariciones especiales, que suelen ser una buena sátira de personajes famosos de la vida real en diferentes segmentos) suelen estar muy bien trabajados dentro de esta "locura".

A pesar de su producción técnica deliberadamente descuidada y diálogos muy simples, esta comedia animada es muy inteligente (aunque no visualmente atractiva), y se apoya en un humor mucho más peculiar para crear su espacio y ganar seguidores en todo el mundo, teniendo como principal atractivo sus chistes (con enfoques variables), una sincronización ingeniosa y personajes cautivadores. Sin duda, esta comedia necesita mayor protagonismo, ya que su esencia no es fácil de replicar (especialmente en el mundo de la televisión).

Sem dúvidas, a ideia por trás desse projeto tem um potencial criativo notável, e de alcance imensurável. Não por acaso, o trabalho feito pela dupla Trey Parker e Matt Stone (a mente por trás dessa série de TV desenvolvida por Brian Garden, especialmente para o canal Comedy Central) já perdura nas telas pequenas desde 1997, ano em que foi lançada, com uma consistência narrativa invejável, porque se mantém atualizada com o que há de mais relevante acontecendo pelo mundo. Todo e qualquer tipo de situação da vida real ganha contornos de anarquia aqui, e essa é a “mágica” do projeto.

A dinâmica estabelecida dentro de cada episódio mistura uma gama de elementos, que tem como alicerce principal as aventuras nas quais cada personagem é inserido, e ao mesmo tempo, usando acidez, humor negro, sagacidade e uma pequena lista de palavrões que já se tornaram uma espécie de “identidade” nessa sitcom. Além disso, o projeto aposta em abordagens surreais (algumas muito além do trivial) para falar sobre temas rotineiros, e com isso, consegue quebrar (ainda que não completamente) tabus sociais que normalmente não são discutidos com tanta facilidade ou frequência.

Os protagonistas tem personalidades distintas, e isso favorece o crescimento de conflitos entre eles. Assim como outros personagens (neste caso, os coadjuvantes) também são bem diferentes uns dos outros, fomentando uma diversidade de conceitos e ideias que só faz essa série crescer ainda mais na sua qualidade narrativa. Até mesmo personagens que aparecem apenas em um único episódio (participações especiais, que costumam ser uma boa sátira as personalidades famosas na vida real em diferentes tipos de segmentos) costumam ser muito bem trabalhados dentro dessa “loucura”.

Mesmo tendo uma produção técnica propositalmente “desleixada” e traços muito simples, essa é uma sitcom animada muito inteligente (apesar de não ser visualmente bonita), e que aposta num tipo de humor muito mais “peculiar” para criar o seu espaço e conquista fãs ao redor do mundo, tendo como o seu principal trunfo fazer piadas (que oscilam nas suas abordagens) com um timing afiado e personagens cativantes. Definitivamente, essa é uma sitcom que precisa ter mais destaque porque a essência do que ela traz não é algo fácil de ser replicado (em especial, no mundo da televisão).

The only reason I had to seeing this series was because "Gong Yoo" from "Guardian: The Lonely and Great God" and "Squid Game" starred in it. The series has a bit of a weird storyline and new faces on the cast but I figured it'd be something different to see "Gong Yoo" in such a storyline and it turned out way better than I had expected.

Spoiler alert! I would recommend this series anytime to whoever loves some mystery and enjoys how contract marriages works in movies but not without the downsides that this story has in store. What is a story without some scenes to leave it's viewers or readers trying to understand or solve, it makes the whole experience exciting.

The series "The Trunk" was released in November, 2024 and is starred by Seo Hyeon-jin, Gong Yoo and Jung Yun-Ha. Directed by Kim Kyoo-tae the director of "Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo" and "It's okay, that's love". A mini series of 8 episodes that focuses on deep mysteries in marriages with entangled secrets.

I had thought this story will have less of romance scenes as the cast is of older characters and how the first episode played out, starting with a marriage agreement with no exciting scenes before it. But I got hooked until the end as all the excitement are brought in slowly, it will be understandable if viewers give up on 1st episode.

I was made to almost not like the character played by "Gong Yoo" because of how deeply hurt he is from a past incident. While some of his actions are not clear, his fear of the Chandelier in his mansion was very clear and it was so sickly to watch his past replay again because of his wrong choice in marriage before the contract.

"Seo Hyeon-jin" had me on a roller coaster with her role, she is a romantic on one side and a dull perfect wife on the other side. Her contract with fifth and last client (Gong Yoo) felt forced and too perfect at first but it got exciting from when she found out it was all staged by his divorced wife to satisfy her love for being in charge over her man.

I think this series has two villains and the first is the former wife "Jung Yun-Ha whose reason for doing all she did made no sense to me. She got jealous at first, started to erase everything about her rival who isn't even aware she is one, she lost a child she purposefully tried to kill and she feels her man needs to be punished for everything.

The story shares a darker side of what jealousy and unsettled past can cause, even though Jung Yun-Ha tried to make up for all she did, I still didn't find her character appealing but it was a great end for all of us as her actions brought together, two hearts that were meant to be. I got pissed at Seo Hyeon-jin for holding unto a past.

The second and most annoying villain "Kim Don-won", a stalker of Seo Hyeon-jin with no history of why he started stalking her. I got a hunt that he was once a husband she had to make contract with and he didn't want to let go but it could have been stated more clearly than it was. He kinda really messed up the story in my own opinion.

And another aspect of the story is the unnecessary screenplay they gave the other characters especially the couple who were not in any form of contract and had two kids that the mother is tired of caring for. It just kinda makes marriage seem impossible and uninteresting if it is not staged or contracted which is not cool.

De donde vengo, la ideología por décadas ha ido dejando estragos en las personas. En general, se ha comido tanta basura, que daría para una fuente inagotable de películas. El arte cubano, por los siglos de los siglos, ha sido uno de los encargados de cargar con ese peso, ponerle voz a lo prohibido, a lo dictatorial. Desde la sátira de un chiste subido de tono, el eco de las tablas en el teatro, el dibujo gráfico y sus otras manifestaciones plásticas.

Where I come from, ideology has been wreaking havoc on people for decades. In general, it has eaten up so much rubbish that it could be the subject of an inexhaustible source of films. Cuban art, for centuries and centuries, has been one of those in charge of carrying that weight, giving voice to what is forbidden, to what is dictatorial. From the satire of an off-color joke, the echo of the stage in the theatre, graphic drawing and its other plastic manifestations.

Es el cine, uno de los más destacados, en donde habría mucha tela por donde cortar, ya que ha sido capaz de ponerle imagen y voz, a la vida de vicisitudes que ha arrastrado la población. Muchos de estos temas, incluso los más ocultos y represivos, los ha tocado el cine. A su manera inteligente, por supuesto, ya que todo, sea lo que sea, siempre ha pasado por el filtro del gobierno. Entre todos estos títulos, del amplio capítulo del cine cubano, hay uno en especial.

Cinema is one of the most prominent, where there is much to be cut through, as it has been able to give image and voice to the life of vicissitudes that the population has been dragged through. Many of these issues, even the most hidden and repressive, have been touched upon in the cinema. In its own clever way, of course, since everything, whatever it is, has always passed through the government's filter. Among all these titles, from the broad chapter of Cuban cinema, there is one in particular.

Que, en mi modesta opinión, considero que se presentó como esas películas adelantadas a su época, en la que se tocó de todo un poco. "Fresa y Chocolate" es una película del año 1993, dirigida por los cineastas cubanos Tomás Gutiérrez Alea y Juan Carlos Tabío. Esta cinta llegaría a convertirse en una de las cátedras obligatorias, en el estudio del cine cubano. Se trata de un largometraje que aborda temas de tolerancia, identidad y libertad, en el contexto de la Cuba revolucionaria de finales de los setenta.

Which, in my humble opinion, I consider to be one of those films ahead of its time, which touched on a little bit of everything. Strawberry and Chocolate" is a 1993 film directed by Cuban filmmakers Tomás Gutiérrez Alea and Juan Carlos Tabío. This film would become one of the obligatory lectures in the study of Cuban cinema. It is a feature film that deals with themes of tolerance, identity and freedom in the context of revolutionary Cuba in the late 1970s.

Desarrolla uno de los temas más polémicos, en las normativas sociales del ser humano. Históricamente, se ha visto la homosexualidad como una mala práctica social, castigada por las escrituras de Dios. Tampoco ha escapado al rechazo y la penalización de la ley de los hombres, siendo algo que se ha arrastrado por décadas, hasta nuestros días. Como los mejores en prohibiciones y esas cosas, en Cuba, este tema no escapó a los polémicos primeros años de la, entre comillas, "Revolución".

It develops one of the most controversial issues in human social norms. Historically, homosexuality has been seen as a bad social practice, punished by the scriptures of God. Nor has it escaped the rejection and criminalisation of the law of men, something that has dragged on for decades, right up to the present day. As the best in prohibitions and such things, in Cuba, this issue did not escape the polemic first years of the, quote unquote, "Revolution".

Por eso digo, que es una película adelantada a su tiempo y contó con un elenco actoral de lujo, como el caso del actor y director de cine Jorge Perugorría. Quien estuvo interpretando de manera magistral a Diego, un hombre de inclinación homosexual y de una educación culta en cuanto a temas del conocimiento literario cubano y universal se trata. Todo esto unido a sus costumbres refinadas y una manera muy particular de vivir la vida.

That is why I say that it is a film ahead of its time, with a luxury cast, such as the actor and film director Jorge Perugorría. He masterfully played Diego, a man with a homosexual inclination and a cultured education in terms of Cuban and universal literary knowledge. All this together with his refined habits and a very particular way of living life.

La historia se centra en la improbable amistad entre Diego y David (interpretado por el actor cubano Vladimir Cruz), un joven estudiante universitario y ferviente defensor de los ideales revolucionarios. La película, como tal, explora las tensiones entre el individuo y el sistema, el arte y la política, el amor y los prejuicios. Se logra recrear una química entre David, que representa la rigidez ideológica de la juventud adoctrinada en conflicto, y Diego, que encarna la sensibilidad, la libertad creativa y la resistencia frente a la homofobia y la censura.

The story centres on the unlikely friendship between Diego and David (played by Cuban actor Vladimir Cruz), a young university student and fervent supporter of revolutionary ideals. As such, the film explores the tensions between the individual and the system, art and politics, love and prejudice. It succeeds in recreating a chemistry between David, who represents the ideological rigidity of conflicted indoctrinated youth, and Diego, who embodies sensitivity, creative freedom and resistance in the face of homophobia and censorship.

En un contexto donde la homosexualidad era estigmatizada y reprimida, la película rompió tabúes al presentar a un personaje gay complejo y humano, desafiando los prejuicios arraigados. ¿Quién se iba a imaginar, que un par de años después, la misma entre comillas "Revolución", permitiría el matrimonio entre el mismo sexo? En "Fresa y Chocolate", no solo se toca la homosexualidad como uno de los clichés que más empañaron esta etapa de la historia, por los derechos de la comunidad LGBTIQ+ en Cuba.

In a context where homosexuality was stigmatised and repressed, the film broke taboos by presenting a complex and human gay character, defying ingrained prejudices. Who would have imagined that a couple of years later, the same quote-unquote "Revolution" would allow same-sex marriage? In "Strawberry and Chocolate", homosexuality is not only touched upon as one of the clichés that most tarnished this stage of history, for the rights of the LGBTIQ+ community in Cuba.

Se muestra, además, toda esta persecución ideológica, incluso represiva, que recibieron los que simplemente pensaban diferente. Es una cita para experimentar una de estas páginas de la historia, en donde todo lo que venía de una fuente externa, a lo que la entre comillas "Revolución", se consideraba indecoroso y una amenaza a la integridad. Hoy en día, muchas de estas conductas, pudieran ser vistas como aberraciones y errores cometidos en el pasado.

It also shows all this ideological persecution, even repression, of those who simply thought differently. It is a quote to experience one of these pages of history, where everything that came from an external source, the quote-unquote "Revolution", was considered unseemly and a threat to integrity. Today, many of these behaviours could be seen as aberrations and mistakes made in the past.

Como todas esas imágenes en blanco y negro en las que todavía se trabaja, o se intenta cambiar, bastante lento por cierto. Aunque hay cosas que nunca cambian, y que al parecer llegaron para quedarse. Los convido a ver la película "Fresa y Chocolate", uno de los rostros más identitarios de la cinematográfica en Cuba, volviéndose referente cultural y marcando un hito en la vida social cubana.

Like all those black and white images that are still being worked on, or tried to be changed, rather slowly by the way. Although there are some things that never change, and it seems that they are here to stay. I invite you to see the film "Fresa y Chocolate", one of the most distinctive faces of Cuban cinema, which became a cultural reference and a milestone in Cuban social life.
