One aspect about watching American movies is that there are some kinds of movies that you watch done by the Americans, and you wonder how they will come up with such an intelligent write-up for a movie, but you know, watching this movie Beverly Hills Coo: Axel F, you just wonder why it is some things good to watch American movies, especially movies which have lots of comedians in it and some comedy lines in it. When I was about to watch this movie on Netflix, I wondered if it was going to be an interesting movie, but I had to check under which genre it falls.

Beverly Hills Cop was released 2024, and it's not just an ordinary movie, but a movie which is full of action and comedy which you can't just afford to miss. This movie was directed by Mark Molloy and written by Will Beall. Axel Foley returned to Beverly Hills after Jane, who is his daughter, and his old colleague and friend lives were threatened. Alex has just one option, which is to act as a Detroit police detective, but he could not carry this out alone but with the help of his friend, Deputy Chief Jeffrey Friedman, to catch some set of thieves who attacked the Detroit locker room.

Alex and his daughter, Jane, had to work together to make sure these guys are brought to justice. Jane had to bring back her ex-boyfriend and his friends to make this conspiracy easy. Seeing the banner of this movie online, I was about convinced because of the Eddie Murphy and I know there is no way you will watch a movie he acted, and you will not laugh. Some of the actors that joined in making this with watching are Eddie Murphy as Axel Foley, Joseph Gordon-Levitt as Detective Bobby Abbott, Taylour Paige as Jane Saunders, Judge Reinhold as Billy Rosewood, John Ashton as Chief John Taggart, Paul Reiser as Deputy Chief Jeffrey Friedman, Bronson Pinchot as Serge, Kevin Bacon as Captain Cade Grant.

Talking about the cinematography, it's not just what you can look down on because the graphics, effects, soundtrack, and all were on the high side, giving this movie a good quality to be watched. I love the quality of the camera used to shoot this movie and also the graphics were also good. But on the other side, some parts that were supposed to be intense were not.

1. Jane aspect sometimes felt slack.
2. Tho the connection between father and daughter was good, but it was not showing the real connection.
3. The movie was quite predictable at some point, tho, but still okay.

Rating: I will rate this movie 4 out of 5 because of the comedy aspect.

But in the real sense, if you truly want a movie that will make you have a relaxing time and give you everything to laugh out your sorrow and be happy, this is a good pick for you. It has the ability to connect the viewer with the movie because you can never have a dull moment when you watch it. If you are a lover a action and comedy movie, this is for you and I hope you enjoy it just like I did.

Anyone who really knows me will testify that last week, especially last weekend was exceedingly tough for me, but I’m super grateful I got through it. At least I would have been, if I didn’t yet another thing to plunge me into near-depression.

I’d gotten a movie I wanted to say, but I heard rumours that the film would make you cry buckets, and frankly, I’d appreciate that on any other weekend where I still have tear ducts left to cry, than this one. So, I opted for comedy. Knowing better, I should have chosen a Korean comedy film, but I unwittingly went for Hollywood comedy. So, hear I am, sharing my horrific story with you.

Kinda Pregnant (2025)

Since Lainy was a kid, she’d always wanted to have a family. Be a Mom, more precisely. But now she’s a woman in her forties, and it seems like her dream of becoming all that she’s ever wanted, is slipping slowly but surely out of her hands.

But there’s hope because Lainy’s boyfriend, Dave, has announced a fancy dinner date to mark their anniversary, and Lainy is sure he’s going to propose. But, he doesn’t, and even goes ahead to make a weird proposition which has Lainy going ballistic. And when her childhood bestie, Kate, announces that she’s gotten pregnant (a prospect she’s always hated), Lainy feels cheated out of life, and decides then to do something outrageous. Fake a pregnancy.

My Thoughts and Rating

Hey, did you hear that? Something dropped now, have you seen it? Well, if you haven’t, I’ll just tell you. That’s one f my brain cells. A nice, well-functioning brain cell of mine that may have just dropped and withered away because of this movie. Seriously, @b0s, I blame you for telling me that I shouldn’t see a movie that will make me cry, and I should watch something fun instead. I know you say I have a thing for stumbling on the worst movies, but you deserve as much hate as will be going to this movie, because how could you? I should have just gone ahead to cry, lol.

But honestly, people. Where do I even start?? This is quite honestly the most ridiculous script I’ve ever had the misfortune of seeing. Don’t get me started on the premise being a little girl whose literal life goal is to be a Mom. Not shading her for it, because there are people like that, and everyone deserves to live and love how and what they want, but basing an entire movie on that? How exactly will that go? I’ll tell you, it goes bad. Really bad.

Then, the humour. I do not know much about the American schooling system, but I know for sure that least thing like cussing out in front of middle schoolers will get your employment terminated fast. Let alone vaping in front of them. Let alone explaining threesomes to them. Let alone setting their school books on fire and causing a fire breakout (even if it’s accidental). The fact that they let the staff of that school get away with all of that is not relatable. It’s just plain insane and borders on the ludicrous.

I know Hollywood productions may have vulgarities going on for them, but this was honestly too crude, inappropriate and frankly, unfunny. I couldn’t stomach it. I was eating a nice meal and I nearly threw up at just how unnecessarily vulgar all of it was. The film could have done just horribly without all that crudeness, but they had to make it nastier with the abundance of lewd and lame jokes. Despicable.

Maybe the film wouldn’t have been too bad. Maybe we would have survived the awful comedy. Maybe we would have survived the non-plot, if the actors were any good. All horrible actors. From the main lead down. Everyone was doing too much. It was painful to see. A hard watch, truly with no real chemistry from even the main lead to her love interest and vice versa. How can everyone in the movie be so unlikeable and annoying. Maybe except, Brianne Howey, because I loved seeing her starring in a movie that was not Ginny and Georgia, and where she didn’t have her infamous Texan drawl.

I wish the film at least focused on Lainy’s relationship with her best friend, and how that was what her prompted her outrageous decision instead of painting her to be that unselfish. Or at the very least, given us a decent ending with she becoming pregnant in the end or finally having the family she wanted, or better still, revealing the truth to Josh before it all went down. But we didn’t get that, and it was quite sad. Can’t be disappointed in a film you never appointed in the first place, but I was expecting to crack a smile a little bit not get nearly mad.

I watched this film, so you wouldn’t have to. You’re welcome. You may be different and love this film because I am seeing crazy reviews, but any right thinking human would find the entire film offensive. Sorry, not sorry. What a way to ruin my night. A 2.5/10... because I’m generous and generally a good person on Sundays. Have a lovely week ahead, everyone.

Tokyo Revengers

Today I'll be reviewing an anime called Tokyo Revengers. This anime is related to time travel. I love animes that include science fiction, drama, and action. It is an incredible combo that you will ever see. This anime caught my attention long ago back in 2021, but for some reason, I didn't watch it, though I don't remember why. After a long time, I felt like watching this anime. This anime has a different aura that made me watch it.

In the trailer, it is seen that our main protagonist is Takemichi. He somehow manages to time travel to change the past, and there are 24 episodes, so it won't take long to finish season 1. I really like it when animes have more than 12 episodes; I prefer it when they're longer. The trailer was interesting, so I thought of watching it as fast as I could.

In the beginning of the story, it is shown that our protagonist is Takemichi. He's leading a miserable life, and no one respects him; even the younger people don't take him seriously. One day, he was at the metro station on his way somewhere, and someone pushed him onto the tracks, and he was about to be hit by the train. Then he remembers that he was only loved when he had a girlfriend when he was younger; other than that, he doesn't remember any sweet memories while dying. But suddenly, we see that he is inside a metro train, and his friends are asking him to get off the train. He follows them, and on the way, he sees a mirror on the road and sees himself with a totally different appearance from what he was 12 years ago. Then he thinks of it as a dream, as he is living his past life. Furthermore, it is revealed that his girlfriend dies in the 12 years in the future, and he is eager to save her. For that, he must change the past in order to prevent that from happening again, even though he doesn't know if it will change the future or not. The story is not only about this, but there are more things that happen eventually.

Okay so the anime is not a romance anime but an action anime. It has a realistic story which is really common in real life. There are gangsters in real life too. The art style is also so good and the intro and outro song is nostalgic. It feels like I have heard this song before but I can not remember. The story is not centered with Takemichi only but the other characters are valued too. This is one of the best anime it has the dark reality, friendship with beautiful bond and love. This anime will give you motivation to beat up the bullies, I have not seen or heard anything like this anime. I was surprised that I could not find any official trailer of this anime on YouTube otherwise I could show a better one, anyway one thing I liked about this anime is that the time passes in the past also the same time passes in the future time, otherwise in other time travel series we would see that the time leaves no effect in the future time.

The main character is not over powered this vulnerability makes him relatable with the audience it allows the viewers to connect with the characters struggles personally. Well, I can guarantee everyone will definitely fall in love with the side characters, my favourites are Mikey, Baji, Mitsuya, and many more. Every character has their own personal stories that kept me watching throughout the anime series.

After a long time I am writing a movie review post again. Now the movie is not seen as before, the time does not match. However, this Eid was finally coming home after getting a big holiday. And what I really do at home - I take that old laptop and watch the movie in one corner. That's how I sat down this time to see some new release, and then I saw from the world of John Wick: Ballerina-John Wick's new spin-off. That is to say, it was not a chance to miss John Wick lover at all.

At the beginning of the movie, a stagnant atmosphere is made, absolutely in that classic wick style. The main character is Rooney, whom we first see in the Ruska Roma Training Camp, where children grow as assassins'. A group of murderers killed his family in a cold head, and that tragedy became the beginning of the Rivey Revenge Journey. This Revenge-Driven plot is nothing new, but the way the movie presented it is different.

Ana de Armas is great in the character of Rooney. An exclusive fighting style stands at his face, his action style, and his dance movement with his dance movements. Gun-Fu was there, along with Ballet, a graceful but seriously terrifying execution. Some sequences seemed as if he was dancing, but in every movement, someone was dying. This style is true to speak the truth.

The mysterious organizations in the John Wick Universe, such as The High Table, Ruska Roma or The Director - were interested in these. In this movie I see a little different aspects of them. The presence of The Director (Anjelica Huston), especially, bring back the old nostalgia. And coming to the screen of John Wick (Keanu Reeves) as a small camera is absolutely cherry on top. Frankly, that short moment brings a different excitement to the whole movie.

However, the speed was stopped at some places in the middle of the movie. It seemed like the plot could have been a little tight. The viewer's emotional connection was not created at the end as some characters did not develop well. There was also some dissatisfaction with the villain. The way Rooney jumped like a fire, he needed an opponent in front of him - that threat was not made well.

Nevertheless, movie cinematography, lighting, sound design, and fight choreography - everything was an eye -catching experience. The light of the city, the terror of the closed house, the sound of the shot and the background score of the trembling background-a package that will be enjoyable for John WIC lovers.

Lastly, the Ballerina movie has shown a different aspect of the John Wick Universe. It's not like WIC, but a new character in its shadow is the stylish and emotional tragedy. Those who hold the love for the WIC, do not make the mistake of watching this movie. Ana de Armas proved himself, and his Rooney character opened the door to more prospects in the future.

Today, it's time for South Korean Cinema. As i have stated multiple times, Korean Cinema, in my opinion, is one of the best out there. It's like the Hollywood of Asia if i could say it. The Handsome Guys is 2024 movie that can fall under different genres like Horror, Comedy and Action.

The movie is like a parody of the Evil Dead or to be more precise, it's the Korean version of Tucker and Dale vs Evil. In fact, the writer is the same :P So don't expect something original.

Plot

So we got brother's Jae-pil and Sang-gu who look like some tough creep hilibilies that are going to buy a house in the woods, which was their dream. Along their journey they meet some teens in a supermarket who are afraid of them due to how they look.

Continuing our journey, the teens hit with their car a black goat and somehow an evil that is tied to the demon Bahomet is unleashed. Like this wasn't enough, the house that the guys bought was the house of a priest that had moved to the area years ago in order to exorcise that demon. Thus, a series of horror events but in a funny way takes place and we the viewers, will see who will prevail!

Good and Bad

To begin with something can be deemed as both good and bad is the fact that you might have seen the American version. If you have watched that 2010 film you basically know pretty much everything. If you liked it then it could be considered a positive to watch that movie and if you hated you already know that you have to skip it.

In terms of acting in general, it can't go wrong if you watch a Korean Film. Most of the actors are doing this and training for this since they were children, so honestly, they are top! Even though there are some differences in terms of our sense of humor with some Asian countries, in terms of them having a more "goofy" like humor, i caught myself laughing and enjoying it sometimes.

It's not like i burst into tears laughing, though. What i really enjoyed was the "make-up" and costumes of the demonized people. They actually did a pretty good job there, except for the dead goat, which was like it came out of a B-rated movie. Overall, it wasn't like the best comedy movie i have seen, not even in the top 10 but i can say that i enjoyed it!

Hi Hivers and movie lovers, in my last movie post where I spoke about Watching the Big Bang Theory from a different Character POV, I have developed a new strategy for watching movies - stay focus on one character and imagine what it would be like to be in their shoes.

In this post, we will be talking about the brilliant performance from Rami Malek in his 2025 action movie, The Amateur. It was quite surprising for me to see him in an action lead role and not a supporting role, given that his roles tend to lean towards thrillers like The Little Things with Denzel Washington and Jared Leto or musical documentary like Bohemian Rhapsody, where he was exceptionally good in portraying the life story of the British lead singer, Freddie Mercury. His performance led him to win an academic award for best actor in a leading role in 2019, the Satellite Award for Best Actor in a Motion Picture, and the movie went on to win:

Honestly speaking, I see why when talking about Rami Malek, one cannot do without referring to his acting role in Bohemian Rhapsody. Although some of his fans from Mr. Robot would not be shocked by his action appearance in The Amateur, since they have been expecting more stuff like this from him. I think it is high time I get started with the series Mr. Robot because it has been on my playlist for quite a while, and Netflix's removal probably contributed to why I haven't started yet.

With this talented acting and awards from Rami, you will think that is what got me to watch the movie The Amateur. Sadly, it was not. It was his interview with Jimmy Fallon on the Jimmy Fallon show, where he spoke about how you would impersonate his twin brother, just to help him pass an exam, and how he got some stunt tips from the PRO, Tom Cruise, for his action role.

Rami outrightly told Tom that the movie would not require any stunts, but Tom, being a professional, to him to get prepared either way, and guess what happened the next week during shooting? He got an email informing him about the changes in the movie and the stunts that will be coming up.

The Amateur is a movie that focuses on Charlie Heller, a CIA cryptographer who is out to avenge his wife's death at the hands of a hostage situation that goes bad. The movie was based on the 1981 novel by Robert Littell with the same title. I have not read the novel, so I cannot give my honest comparison on which is better, the book or the movie.

The driving force in the movie for me is not how Charlie enacts his revenge plan, but the lengths he is willing to go to achieve it. When his wife was killed since she was taken hostage when she was trying to save someone else, and more devastating is that they needed to kill her. I guess the kidnappers wanted to send a message to the police at the premises that they were serious and they should be treated as so.

Even after tracking down one of the kidnappers through the use of the CIA technology at his disposal and his brilliant hacking skill, all the assistant CIA director could say is they want the entire network and not just one person and since it happened in Europe, it is a matter of Natioanal security, they have to act with caution.

Note: Do not tell this to a man who just lost the love of his life.

When Charlie got to see that the CIA won't help, he took matters into his hands. He recovered a dozen of files exposing the shitty dealings of the assistant CIA director and his allies and encrypted them into a file, Then hid the files in plain site but hard to find, while he used it to blackmail the CIA to train him into becoming an agent. Now you see why I do not underestimate a man in love, he is willing to undergo the rigorous training of the CIA to be an agent for his revenge. Imagine a computer nerd with zero combat experience wanting to become a CIA field agent.

While the CIA tries to uncover where a man with a high IQ hid the incriminating files, Charlie is busy undergoing training. But when Charlie's handler sees his combat skills are extremely poor, he switches up the training by telling Charlie to focus more on his engineering skills to build explosive and hacking abilities. This takes the training to a whole different level.

The best part comes in when Charlie is finally out in the world, carrying out his revenge one person at a time under an alias. He becomes an intelligence quotient killer with an agenda while being hunted by CIA operatives who want the incriminating files. Revenge is a strong tool, but avenging the death of a loved one is a deadlier tool. Check out The Amateur if you are a fan of action movies with a storyline.

K.O. stands for Knock Out. And this is a film that really knocks the viewer out some times during its plot.

KO was released in 2025, I just saw it in Netflix and I admit that it is one of the films that I enjoyed watching (not fell asleep). Will it be your next movie night pick? Read on and let me know what you think!

At the moment its IMDb rating is 5.8/10 - which is in the limits of the films that I do see (Even though, this time I saw the rating after watching the movie)

The title may be minimalistic, but the film itself is far from it. I would say it is packed with adrenaline, fast plot turns, and some intense fight scenes. Right from the start, OK delivers an entertaining movie ride.

Even though I used to practice martial arts, this is not my favorite type of movie. However I did find this one interesting right from the start.

The movie starts in the ring, and what happens there between two MMA fighters, is the main theme of the movie.

While some action scenes stretched a little longer than I would have preferred, they were still well-executed and fun to watch. The movie rarely slows down — the plot moves quickly, and there’s little room for boredom.

The actors do a great job in their roles, making the characters both believable and engaging. The story proceeded ok, without having great voids, and there was suspense and some interesting happenings.

Having said that, please note that there are some brutal scenes so maybe its better for children to refrain from watching it. There is some shooting, some gang wars and of course among all that, you should realize that they speak french during the movie (of course)

I am only saying this because some may prefer action movies in English (not me), so you should take this under consideration if you fall under this case.

I would put a solid 6.2 rate for this movie and I’d recommend KO to anyone looking for something exciting and entertaining. Definitely not for viewers who prefer deep dramas or complex thrillers, but it’s a solid action movie that respects the genre.

Happy Sunday friends, how are you? Today I had the day off and I decided to finish a 2024 K drama that had fascinated me a lot, you can find it on Netflix and I highly recommend it, it's a super compelling and engaging drama! It contains all the elements for an excellent plot, suspense, secrets, lies, scandals and obviously a great love story. I'll tell you a little about it! The protagonist of this drama is Hong Hee joo, a girl who seems docile and delicate and who suffers from a form of mutism, trapped in an arranged and unhappy marriage with one of the most promising young politicians in Korea, Sa yeon. Both families expect this marriage to remain secret because initially the bride was supposed to be the protagonist's stepsister who mysteriously disappeared before the wedding.

But Hee Joo and Sa Yeon's married life is cold, they can barely stand each other and he has a detached and almost annoyed attitude towards her. He Joo is not happy in her life, her only consolation is her job as a sign interpreter and her best friend a psychiatrist with a sad past in an orphanage. Hee joo's life changes drastically when one day she is kidnapped by a stranger who calls her husband threatening to kill her, Sa Yeon instead of despairing for her kidnapped wife, responds with indifference hurting Hee jo a lot who was hoping for a little concern and humanity from her. Hee joo manages to free herself from her kidnapper and in the escape takes her phone.

Lo pueden encontrar en Netflix y se los recomiendo muchísimo. ¡Es un drama súper cautivador y cautivador! When I say I am super proud of the movie industry in my nation "I mean it with every fiber in me." Before now, I didn't think anyone would catch me watching a Nigerian movie; I didn't try it because if I did, I'd be disappointed, and I don't want that for my mental health. Disappointment doesn't sit well with me.

That is the major reason I run away in order not to be disappointed; I think in certain situations, it is better to avoid it. So, the fact that I can sit down on my couch and spend an hour and a few minutes finishing a Nollywood movie means something was involved, and that is an improvement. My nation's movies keep improving, and I'm super proud of that.

This particular movie was released in 2019, and at that moment, it was the most trending. There was no way it was going to trend silently without me getting to know about it. Quick question: what would you do if you came across $800,000?

The Plot

The movie tells the story of three sugar sisters who accidentally discovered $800,000 (in dollars) in the house of a corrupt chief, Douglas. In the next couple of days, they start spending the money, or you can say lavishing the money only to meet their Waterloo when the mafia comes to claim the money.

Also, the news got to the EFCC when the sugar sisters were issued a search warrant, but they weren't able to find money, you can say, "The sisters were smart, right?" But then, how smart can they be?

They thought Christ came down from heaven to hide the money, unaware that one of the sister's boyfriends had been peeking at their conversation. So he stole the money. Unfortunately, as they were trying to get the money from him, he lost his life. The movie contained so many plot twists and unveiled so many predictable scenes.

The Review

The first thing that attracted me to the movie were the cast; you can say my favorite actors were stared in it, and maybe that is the reason I was crazy about the movie back then, but I just realized that now.

The movie was hilarious; I know the storyline didn't portray the movie to be a comedy movie, but then, at every point, I found myself laughing my lungs out.

I love the bond that existed between the three sisters and how they were able to overcome the situation that befallen them despite the arguments and disagreement that happened, but then, just like they say, "blood is thicker than water," that bond always prevails.

The movie was an amazing piece. Kudos to the director and all the team for making this piece and for the creativity they put in. I'm gonna rate this movie an 8/10; you might be wondering, despite all the incredible things I've said so far, why eight? Well, I feel like more things would have been added to the piece and the end part was kind of predictable.
