I just finished watching Wandavision and the need to write about something wouldn't leave me alone, since I wasn't going to write about Wandavision because half the world is going to do it, I remembered watching this series and wanted to write about it, Psycho-Pass, a very insane series that tackles deep philosophies of life while we see how violence is unleashed uncontrollably around our characters.
Months ago when I started watching the series I did it because I was bored and didn't want to watch anything I had downloaded, and tired of Netflix showing me advertising for Pshyco-Pass I decided to watch the first chapter to decide if I liked it or not, because of the cover they showed I had thought I wasn't going to like it at all, even when the name caught my attention a lot. My surprise was gigantic when I not only liked it, but I loved it completely.
Acabo de terminar de ver Wandavision y la necesidad de escribir sobre algo no me dejaba tranquilo, como no iba a escribir sobre Wandavision porque medio mundo lo va a hacer, recordé haber visto esta serie y quise escribir sobre ella, Psycho-Pass, una serie muy insana que aborda filosofías profundas de la vida mientras vemos como la violencia se desata sin control alrededor de nuestros personajes.
Hace meses cuando comencé a ver la serie lo hice porque estaba aburrido y no quería ver nada de lo que tenía descargado, y cansado de que Netflix me mostrara la publicidad de Pshyco-Pass decidí ver el primer capítulo para decidir si me gustaba o no, porque a causa de la portada que mostraban había pensado que no me iba a gustar para nada, incluso cuando el nombre me llamaba mucho la atención. Mi sorpresa fue gigante cuando no solo me gustó, si no que la amé por completo.
 
Psycho-Pass will place us in a futuristic Japan where the Sybil System was implemented, an Artificial Intelligence that completely monitors the actions of people all day, every day, until the day of their deaths. The Sybil System has a way of quantifiably analyzing the existing probabilities that someone may commit a crime, not only in the present, but also in the future; so even if someone has not committed a crime but is prone to commit one they will be treated as a criminal and all the consequences that come with that.
I love the fact that humans have ceased to be the greatest exponent of the law and technology has surpassed them, but it is still disturbing that only through an analysis your future is decided, whether or not you have committed crimes. It is a perfect future that dehumanizes humans and turns them into objects that can be discarded instantly when they show signs of being defective.
Psycho-Pass nos situará en una Japón futurista donde se implementó el Sistema Sybil, una Inteligencia Artificial que vigila por completo las acciones de las personas todo el día, todos los días, hasta el día de sus muertes. El Sistema Sybil tiene una forma de analizar de manera cuantificable las probabilidades existentes de que alguien pueda cometer un crimen, no solo en el presente, si no también en el futuro; por lo que incluso si alguien no ha cometido un crimen pero es propenso a realizarlo será tratado como un criminal y todas las consecuencias que eso conlleva.
Me encanta el hecho de que los humanos hayan dejado de ser el mayor exponente de la ley y la tecnología los haya superado, pero igual no deja de ser perturbador que solo a través de un análisis se decida tu futuro, hayas o no hayas cometido crímenes. Es un futuro perfecto que deshumaniza a los humanos y los convierte en objetos que pueden ser desechados al instante cuando muestran signos de ser defectuosos.
 
A perfect system of criminal analysis should be the origin of an infinite peace, where people would live happily and feel completely fulfilled, but it is not so, human beings need chaos to be functional, completely ignoring evil or trying to stop it before it happens will only generate a worse disease and it will be too late when it is diagnosed.
That is one of the arguments of Psycho-Pass, how the excess of order and peace can generate in turn a worse evil that will equal in intensity all the good that exists, as long as evil or good does not exceed the other things should be fine, but it is not so, under control or not, what we perceive as good or bad will always be subjective, no matter that an artificial intelligence is making the decision to prevent humans from making it.
Un sistema perfecto de análisis criminal debería ser el origen de una paz infinita, donde las personas vivirían felices y se sentirían realizadas por completo, pero no es así, el ser humano necesita el caos para poder ser funcional, ignorar por completo la maldad o intentar detenerla antes de que suceda solo va a generar una enfermedad peor y va a ser muy tarde cuando se diagnostique.
Ese es uno de los argumentos de Psycho-Pass, como el exceso de orden y paz puede generar a su vez un mal peor que va a igualar en intensidad todo lo bueno que existe, mientras el mal o el bien no supere al otro las cosas deberían estar bien, pero no es así, bajo control o no, lo que percibamos como bueno o malo siempre va a ser subjetivo, sin importar que una inteligencia artificial esté tomando la decisión para evitar que los humanos la tomen.
 
One of the main sources from where Sybil gets information is from the police, which Akane Tsunemori has just joined, since before she joined there had been great tensions in the city, but the control disappears and waves of unexplained crimes begin to happen, but there is a factor that no one had foreseen or of which they were not aware that it could exist.
All people have a Psycho-Pass, or what would come to be the quantified representation of criminal intent or their state of mental health, this is represented in colors and numbers, the lighter your color and the lower your number, the higher your mental health or you have very little criminal intent, but if your number is very high and therefore you have a cloudy color, it means you are in a very bad mental state and are a possible future criminal.
Cops can also become criminals when their color is clouded by all the horrible things they have to deal with, you can't face monsters without ending up becoming one, and that's why cops have helpers called Enforcers, Enforcers are latent criminals with a great disposition to commit crimes, and they are the ones who get the worst part of the job always, or the best, considering they are already criminals.
Una de las principales fuentes de dónde Sybil obtiene información es de la policía, a la cual se acaba de unir Akane Tsunemori, desde antes de que ella se uniera se habían estado desatando grandes tensiones en la ciudad, pero el control desaparece y olas de crímenes sin explicación comienzan a suceder, pero hay un factor que nadie había previsto o del cual no eran conscientes que podía existir.
Todas las personas tienen un Psycho-Pass, o lo que vendría siendo la representación cuantificada de la intención criminal o su estado de salud mental, esto está representado en colores y números, mientras más claro sea tu color y más bajo sea tu número, mayor es tu salud mental o tienes muy poca intención criminal, pero si tu número es muy alto y por lo tanto tienes un color turbio, significa que estás en un muy mal estado mental y eres un posible criminal futuro.
Los policías también pueden llegar a convertirse en criminales cuando su color se enturbia por todas las cosas horribles con las que tienen que lidiar, no se puede enfrentar a los monstruos sin terminar por convertirse en uno, y es por eso que los policías tienen ayudantes llamados Ejecutores, los Ejecutores son criminales latentes con una gran disposición a cometer crímenes, y son ellos los que se llevan la peor parte del trabajo siempre, o la mejor, teniendo en cuenta que ya son criminales.
 
At the same time that Akane Tsunemori joins the investigation department and crime waves are unleashed, there is the appearance of a person who cannot be identified by the Sybil System as a criminal, even while committing a crime.
The police have special weapons that can only be used by those who are authorized, and they measure in real time the Psycho-Pass of the people and only if it is very high or above the acceptable level, they allow to shoot to immobilize or in the worst case, to kill. If the perfect system that measures the criminal intent of people, says that someone is not fit or cannot be considered a criminal, even when that person is about to commit a crime or is committing a crime, is it really perfect, can that system be trusted?
Akane Tsunemori is going to struggle a lot with herself and the world, she defends with all her life the Sybil System, but she does not understand how a criminal cannot be categorized as a criminal. If the system won't let her take charge, should she or someone else do it on their own and pay no attention to authority? I love those kinds of philosophical questions we're going to encounter in this series.
Al mismo tiempo que Akane Tsunemori se une al departamento de investigación y las olas de crímenes se desatan, ocurre la aparición de una persona que no puede ser identificada por el Sistema Sybil como un criminal, ni siquiera mientras está cometiendo un crimen.
Los policías tienen armas especiales que solo permiten ser usadas por aquellos que están autorizados, además de que miden en tiempo real el Psycho-Pass de las personas y solo si es muy elevado o está por encima del nivel aceptable es que permite disparar para inmovilizar o en el peor de los casos, asesinar. Si el sistema perfecto que mide la intención criminal de las personas, dice que alguien no es apto o no puede ser considerado un criminal, incluso cuando esa persona está a punto de cometer un crimen o lo está cometiendo, ¿es realmente perfecto?, ¿se puede confiar en ese sistema?
Akane Tsunemori va a luchar mucho consigo misma y con el mundo, ella defiende con toda su vida el Sistema Sybil, pero no entiende cómo un criminal no puede ser catalogado como tal. Si el sistema no le permite hacerse cargo, ¿debería hacerlo ella o alguien más por su propia cuenta y no prestarle atención a la autoridad? Amo ese tipo de preguntas filosóficas que nos vamos a encontrar en este serie.
 
Psycho-Pass will leave you with thousands of unanswered questions, it will make you think too much about things you may never have thought about before. The human is not a peace-keeper, at least not in its entirety, it will always be inclined towards war and chaos, it needs the adrenaline of the unexpected in order to be halfway functional. I love Psycho-Pass too much and I need to finish watching the movies and series I haven't seen because I can't get them.

Psycho-Pass not only raises all those existential and philosophical questions, it will also give us a great dose of drama, blood, death, crimes and undetectable psychopaths, it is well worth watching and I know you will not be disappointed, or maybe yes, only you will know.
Psycho-Pass te va a dejar con miles de preguntas sin respuestas, te hará pensar demasiado en cosas que quizás nunca antes hayas pensado. El humano no es un se paz, al menos no en su totalidad, siempre va a estar inclinado hacia la guerra y el caos, necesita la adrenalina que le produce lo inesperado para poder ser medianamente funcional. Amo demasiado Psycho-Pass y necesito de terminar de ver las películas y series que no he visto porque no las consigo.
Aquí les dejo el mejor de los peores trailers que conseguí en youtube, igual pueden ir a la página de netflix y ver el trailer que ellos tienen ahí. Psycho-Pass no solo plantea todas esas cuestiones existenciales y filosóficas, también nos va a dar una gran dosis de drama, sangre, muerte, crímenes y de psicópatas indetectables, vale mucho la pena verlo y sé que no se van a decepcionar, o quizás sí, solo ustedes lo sabrán.
