I looked at the prompt for the week that said 'Tell us your favourite movie with a surprise'. And I thought deeply. Most times, I only remember I've watched a movie when I come across an edit or someone talks about it. But remembering on my own, sometimes is a hassle.
What better way to surprise us viewers, in movies other than through mind blowing plot twists? I've experienced plot twists in the movies that'll leave you shocked. Is it Vincenzo? Where the villain was disguised as a cutiepie. Or is it It's Okay to Not Be Okay, where the villain was working with them all along? Or is it My Name? Where the villain was helping the main character find himself?😂. Kdramas are the only things in the list there, because that's 80% of what I've been watching in the past two years. The remain 20% are for cartoons, anime and movies.
After I thought and thought, unsatisfied with everything I had thought out😂 and was about to let the thinking continue some other time, I remembered that one K-drama. That one K-drama that took me by surprise. I was a mess after watching it because of how unexpected things happened.

BIG MOUTH is a 16 episode Korean drama starring actors Lee Jong Suk (Park Chang-Ho), Im Yoona (Go Mi-Ho) and Kim Jo Hoon (Choi Do-Ha)
Park Chang-ho, a lawyer happens to get involved in a murder case and is framed as a swindler known as Big Mouse. Due to this, he is imprisoned. Meanwhile, his wife Go Mi-Ho, a nurse does all within her power to clear her husband's name. It all seems like a futile effort because the upper class have a hand over every aspect of their lives but the couple are determined nonetheless.
If you have watched it, you know it is a tragic kdrama. I decided to watch it when a friend of mine recommended it but because I never entertain spoilers, I didn't know what was in stall for me. I wasn't prepared for the ending. And to say she was my favourite character.
One of my greatest surprises in this drama was Mi-ho's death. She was such a strong woman who fought alongside her husband against those who were framing him and she died in the most tragic way possible. She didn't even deserve to die. Apart from books, deaths in movies take a lot to make me cry. But with this drama, I cried so much because of how sudden her death was to me. They were a very happy couple and loved each other so much. So you can imagine how painful it was to have her die within less than a month of things looking up for them. It all seemed so unfair. Her death wasn't the highlight of surprises but it was one of my most unexpected happenings in this movie.
I can remember the pain on Chang-ho's face when he found out about her cancer. That scene was so heartbreaking.
The villain also, wasn't someone I expected. He was even the last person I expected to have done that. He appeared and acted so innocent whereas he could have passed for the devil's first son. His wife as well, although she suffered for her actions at the end, she appeared too good for what she was helping her husband cover. And to think that initially, we were made to believe she had no idea about her husband's crimes. Her husband was even evil to the extent that he tortured her and made her appear crazy when she began to work against him. With how just he appeared at the start, one would easily be deceived.
While he did not appear too good, he was the least expected person to have been the villain. But that's the thing. A good movie is never predictable.
Even more surprising was finding out who the real Big Mouse was. He was a huge supporter of Chang-Ho when he kept on acting as Big Mouse in prison whereas he actually was the one all along. He was even giving Chang-Ho tips on how to handle those that think he is not the real big mouse. A genius swindler he was😂. I was so shocked when he did a face reveal.
This movie gives a vivid representation of what happens when power is placed in the wrong hands. Those in power did so many things that when their crimes were being revealed, you'll wonder if that was even possible. Although they all went through the consequences of their actions at the end, their actions were unhinged.
It's been over a year since I watched this movie. I loved it back then and I still do. It had a very good storyline, mind-blowing plot twists and a very nice character representation. I hadn't watched any Lee Jong Suk's movie before then and I loved his acting here. Im Yoona as well. I didn't really like her acting in her other movies I've watched but she did an exceptional job with this character.
Big Mouth is a very nice kdrama. Although the ending was a little bit rushed, I still loved it. If you are a K-drama fan or not, do check it out. If you read till the end, I've spoilt it already for you. But you sure are going to love it.

Doramas are not my thing. That's what I was saying when this trend became trendy. And you could see on instagram or Facebook a lot of memes and short videos about the most popular doramas of the moment. But as life takes many turns my life changed and my opinion regarding doramas changed too. Since I got married I got to know much more what these Asian series offered in emotions in action in memorable scenes. And that's when I liked them so much that I even started looking for more popular Dora titles to watch with my wife.
Los doramas no son lo mío. Era lo que yo decía cuando esta tendencia se puso de moda. Y podías ver en instagram o en Facebook muchos memes y videos cortos sobre los doramas más populares del momento. Pero como la vida da muchas vueltas mi vida cambió y mi opinión con respecto a los doramas también cambió. Ya que desde que me casé conocí mucho más lo que ofrecían estas series asiáticas en emociones en acción en escenas memorables. Y fue cuando me gustaron tanto que hasta empecé a buscar títulos de Dora más populares para ver con mi esposa.
I have seen a lot of good titles that I liked a lot such as I hear your voice, Pinocchio, while you were sleeping and more recently Big mouse: con artist. Of course all these doramas have one thing in common and that is that Lee Jong-Suk is the main protagonist, and honestly speaking he does great as all his roles are pretty good. So talking a bit more about Big mouth, I can comment that it is one of the doramas with more suspense, action and plot twists of better quality that I have seen lately. In fact I watched this dorama because it was recommended in the movies and TV shows community, and seeing that Lee Jong was the main protagonist, I didn't hesitate to watch it. So in this post I will share my opinion about this amazing action-thriller dorama. But first let's start with a brief description of the plot.
He visto muchísimos buenos títulos que me han gustado bastante como por ejemplo oigo tu voz, Pinocho, mientras dormías y más recientemente Big mouse: artista de la estafa. Claro todos estos doramas tienen algo en común y es que Lee Jong-Suk es el protagonista principal, y hablando de manera honesta lo hace de maravilla ya que todos sus papeles son bastante buenos. Así que hablando un poco más de Big mouth, puedo comentar que es uno de los doramas con más suspenso, acción y giros en la trama de mejor calidad que he visto últimamente. De hecho yo vi este dorama porque en la comunidad de movies and TV shows lo recomendaron, y al ver que Lee Jong era el protagonista principal, no dude en verlo. Así que en esta publicación compartiré mi opinión sobre esta increíble dorama de acción y suspenso. Pero antes comencemos con una breve descripción de la trama.

Now my opinion of this series is that it is a marvel. For example, when you are looking for a production to watch to entertain you, you want it to have all aspects of action, emotion, suspense, drama, romance and unexpected plot twists. And to my surprise this series has it all including excellent acting by the actors. As they are also wrapped up in the roles they make you live with a lot of emotion every scene. In addition, the special effects such as stabbing, bleeding, blows or when someone is hanged. They look extremely real, so much so that it can scare you how some characters almost die.
I also really liked how this series exposes the power of the elites in society. And how they hurt everyone to achieve their own benefit. It is also extraordinary how they show that those who have a lot of money have more privileges and opportunities to survive than those who do not. On the other hand you can also see in this series how politics and corruption is intertwined in an unimaginable way, and that if we see the newspapers or the news and television we will see that it is something that happens in every city in the world.
Ahora mi opinión de esta serie es que es toda una maravilla. Ya que por ejemplo cuando buscas una producción para ver para entretenerte busca que tenga todos los aspectos ya sea acción, emoción, suspenso, drama, romance y giros inesperados en la trama. Y para mi sorpresa esta serie lo tiene todo incluyendo una excelente actuación por parte de los actores. Ya que se envuelven también en los papeles que te hacen vivir con mucha emoción cada escena. Además los efectos especiales como por ejemplo las puñaladas, los de desangramientos, los golpes o cuando ahorcan a alguien. Se ven sumamente reales, tanto que le puede asustar como casi mueren algunos personajes.
También me gustó mucho como esta serie expone El poder de las élites en la sociedad. Y cómo hacen daño a todos para lograr el beneficio propio. Además es extraordinario como muestran que aquellos que tienen muchísimo dinero tienen más privilegios y oportunidades para sobrevivir que aquellos que no lo tienen. Por otro lado también se puede observar en esta serie como la política y la corrupción está entrelazada de una manera inimaginable, y que si vemos los periódicos o las noticias y la televisión veremos qué es algo que pasa en todas las ciudades del mundo.
In conclusion Big Mouth master of the con is a fascinating series that you may like if you get to see it and that can catch you from the first episode as it starts with a fairly strong and high tone. I got this Korean drama in my phone almost a month before I decided to see it, I couldn't bring myself to see it after I saw the first two scenes from the first episode. I won't say it wasn't interesting at first but I just wanted something fun and romantic at that time so I skipped seeing the drama then. About two weeks back, I went back to it since I had no other drama in my phone I've not see and it turned out to be that I have been missing out on a great drama.
There are just those movies we never know what to expect until we see it to the end... This is one of those movies and I'm highly recommending it to anyone who loves crime movies.
"Big Mouth" isn't just a crime filled drama but has other genre like "Legal and action". While all that are more obvious in the drama, there are funny scenes too and I guess that helped the tension I got from seeing it reduced. The drama was released in July this year and has a total of 16 episodes with so much budget spent on it (₩30 billion). Each episodes comes with something else to look forward to as it is full of suspense and thrills.
The drama is set to be one that shows how life is for prisoners and how people are wrongly accused to become someone else. It also shows so much brutality, power and connections. I'm not a huge fan of these kinds of movie since I get scared or tend to be irritated by some sight but this one was an exception for me and I found myself enjoying these scenes as it helped me get closer to what I wanted to find out.
The movie starts off with an incompetent lawyer trying to win a case for a group of people who were scammed by cryptocurrency guru. He loses the case and got into a fight with his defenders who felt he purposely lost the case because he had collected bribe. The lawyer happen to have a sharp mouth (Loves to talk about his future success) but his reality never connects to what he says.
He is married to a very confident and beautiful nurse, the couple lives with the lady's father who is very fond of his son in law. The family live together, managing their tiny incomes in hopes that the their lawyer will get a highly paid case to elevate them.
The lawyer gets a huge case, got paid highly but it was a start of a great change to his everyday life which he didn't realize until the situation got worse. What kind of case did he agreed to? What happened to him that changed his life? Did the drama had a happy ending? You'll have to see the drama to find out.
Main characters in the drama
Park Chang-ho (Lee Jong-Suk) is the main lead and the one with the "Big Mouth" who is all talks and no actions. He became a lawyer with the help of his girlfriend who became his wife but it turns out that he was incompetent to win cases so he hardly got cases to solve.
At a proposal, he accepts a huge case from a random man who called him and revealed that he is in need of an incompetent lawyer for the case. Even though it hurt his pride, he accepted the case after being promised of going big but what he never knew was that his greed would lead him to becoming the popular most dangerous swindler "Big Mouse".
Who framed him to go to prison for someone else? How was his life in prison when he was accused wrongly? Was he able to vindicate himself, how? All these part are the most interesting part of the drama.
Ko Min-ho (Im Yoon-ah) is the wife to the main lead, a character that I admired how bold and daring she is in the drama. She was the perfect wife for any lawyer especially the ones facing difficulties in their cases. Even though she's a nurse in the drama, he role as the wife of a lawyer was worthy of emulation.
She becomes a nurse in the penitentiary just to fight the case with her husband who was held captive by the real "Big Mouse". She made a lot of sacrifice even risking her life to get her husband out of prison, you'll have to see the drama to see how wonderful this woman's role is.
Kim Joo-hun (Choi Do-ha) One of the shocking character for me, a handsome married man who is a mayor but has a dark past and got involved with crimes that couldn't be forgiven. He calls for an incompetent lawyer who he later finds as a threat to his evil deeds, he decides to have him killed.
His role in the drama can simply not be overlooked, he did a great job acting as someone he is not and got close to people he didn't trust to get what he wanted. Until the very end, he is bent on hiding his evil deeds but "Big Mouse" was out to get him.
There's always that supporting character in kdramas that are exceptional in their roles... I found one in this drama as well and he is Yang Kyung-won (Gong Ji-hoon)
A Funny, conceited and annoying character in one... I literally laughed at everything he does in the scenes he appeared in. He isn't a good guy but I enjoyed watching how bad he can be, betraying his colleagues and acting nonchalant to situations.
He tries to kill the fake "Big Mouse" but failed and in the end, he became an acquaintance to him after he was released from prison.
An Overall personal view of the drama
Every character did a great job in their roles, the action was there and I specially love the suspense and how busy they kept my mind finding out the real "Big Mouse". I also got to learn a few things about cancer and their causes. The drama isn't just for entertainment, it brings one into the reality of the world today.
Reading through a review I saw after seeing the movie, I realized that there were just so many clues to catch the real Big Mouse before they actually did reveal him but then, only the viligant movie watchers would take note of them.

Recibí este drama coreano en mi teléfono casi un mes antes de que decidiera verlo, no me atreví a verlo después de ver las dos primeras escenas del primer episodio. No diré que no fue interesante al principio, pero solo quería algo divertido y romántico en ese momento, así que no vi el drama. Hace aproximadamente dos semanas, volví a él porque no tenía otro drama en mi teléfono que no haya visto y resultó ser que me había estado perdiendo un gran drama.

Si bien todo eso es más obvio en el drama, también hay escenas divertidas y supongo que eso ayudó a reducir la tensión que sentí al verlo reducido. El drama se estrenó en julio de este año y tiene un total de 16 episodios con mucho presupuesto gastado (₩ 30 mil millones). Cada episodio viene con algo más que esperar, ya que está lleno de suspenso y emoción.
El drama está configurado para mostrar cómo es la vida de los prisioneros y cómo las personas son acusadas injustamente de convertirse en otra persona. También muestra tanta brutalidad, poder y conexiones. Personajes principales del drama
Park Chang-ho (Lee Jong-Suk) es el protagonista principal y el que tiene la "boca grande" que es todo palabras y nada de acción. Se convirtió en abogado con la ayuda de su novia, que se convirtió en su esposa, pero resulta que era incompetente para ganar casos, por lo que apenas tenía casos que resolver.
A propuesta, acepta un gran caso de un hombre al azar que lo llamó y le reveló que necesita un abogado incompetente para el caso. A pesar de que hirió su orgullo, aceptó el caso después de que le prometieran ir a lo grande, pero lo que nunca supo fue que su codicia lo llevaría a convertirse en el estafador más peligroso y popular "Big Mouse".

Ko Min-ho (Im Yoon-ah) es la esposa del protagonista principal, un personaje que admiré por lo audaz y atrevida que es en el drama. Era la esposa perfecta para cualquier abogado, especialmente para aquellos que enfrentaban dificultades en sus casos. Aunque ella es una enfermera en el drama, el papel de la esposa de un abogado era digno de emular.

Siempre hay un personaje secundario en los kdramas que son excepcionales en sus papeles... También encontré uno en este drama y es Yang Kyung-won (Gong Ji-hoon)
Un personaje divertido, engreído y molesto en uno... Literalmente me reí de todo lo que hace en las escenas en las que aparecía. No es un buen tipo pero disfruté viendo lo malo que puede ser, traicionando a sus colegas y actuando. indiferente a las situaciones.
Intenta matar al "Ratón Grande" falso, pero falla y, al final, se convierte en un conocido para él después de que lo liberaron de la prisión.
Una visión personal general del drama
Todos los personajes hicieron un gran trabajo en sus papeles, la acción estuvo ahí y me encanta especialmente el suspenso y lo ocupada que mantuvieron mi mente descubriendo el verdadero "Big Mouse". También aprendí algunas cosas sobre el cáncer y sus causas. El drama no es solo para el entretenimiento, lo trae a uno a la realidad del mundo de hoy.
Al leer una reseña que vi después de ver la película, me di cuenta de que había tantas pistas para atrapar al Gran Ratón real antes de que realmente lo revelaran, pero luego, solo los observadores de películas vigilantes tomarían nota de ellas.

En pocas palabras, es un experimento que terminó funcionando sorprendentemente bien, en dónde la aventuras de Nick y Andrew, dos jóvenes que se encuentran en medio de su despertar sexual, deben lidiar con ciertos de problemas que nosotros como adultos, ya hicimos parte de nuestra vida diaria o simplemente superamos en su totalidad.
El deseo sexual se representa a través de un monstruo imaginario que nos guía (A veces bien y a veces mal) mientras que criaturas similares surgen con respecto a los miedos de nuestros protagonistas, sus momentos de ira, sus constantes inseguridades, dictando sus acciones y llevándonos a dónde sienten que desean estar.
¿Y cuál es el problema? En sus momentos más positivos Big Mouth es una brillante alteración de la caricatura dominguera que evoca la nostalgia en sus espectadores, reviviendo las experiencias del pasado que forjaron nuestro carácter de formas exageradas y fantasiosas... Pero en su momentos más negativos a veces innecesariamente grotesca, que se regodea en perturbar a su audiencia sin brindarnos nada de valor real a cambio.
Este ha sido un problema que el paso de los años ha agravado y en su quinta temporada parecen ser más marcados que nunca, estos chicos se han construido de manera orgánica a través de cada episodio, pero a veces, su comportamiento se tuerce sin seguir una lógica clara, más bien para servir la narrativa del momento.
No quiero que me malinterpreten, a pesar de mi indignación siento que es una serie importantísima, y más allá de su vulgaridad hay muchas ideas importantes que se están transmitiendo, se reconoce la naturaleza sexual de este grupo de preadolescentes dejando atrás cualquier forma de prejuicio.
Opera bajo una lógica saludable, que puede impactar bastante, por supuesto, pero encaja a la perfección con los cambios que está sufriendo nuestro mundo.
¿Es volátil? claro que sí, y de vez en cuando las cosas van muy lejos... Pero nunca me atrevería a desear sj fracaso solo porque no estoy listo para oír una buena porción de su mensaje, o mejor dicho, porque no me gusta la forma tan explícita en la que nos los presentan.
Esta sin duda alguna es una serie muy divertida, con la cualquiera se podrá identificar ya que la misma centra su narrativa en la pubertad y en todos los cambios que vamos experimentando no solo a nivel , físico si no emocional y mental.
