  1. Review Blue Lock ⚽ In Search of the Perfect Forward@alienpunklord401d

Welcome to another art post here in the community.

It had been a while since a soccer anime truly excited me.

Not that I don’t like the classic style like Captain Tsubasa, with those impossible plays and the famous “team spirit.” But after watching Blue Lock, I can say with confidence: this anime kicked away any traditional idea of a sports anime.

It’s almost weird to even call it a sports anime.

    untitled.gif

To be honest, Blue Lock feels more like a psychological game with a soccer ball rolling around.

    image.png

That phrase sums it all up, for sure.

And it’s with that mentality that we’re introduced to the Blue Lock project, a system created to find the ultimate striker who will save Japanese soccer. But the method is far from what you'd imagine they lock 300 young talents in a kind of sports prison, where only one comes out on top. The rest? Goodbye, national team career.

Pulling the strings is a bizarre guy named Jinpachi Ego, a coach with crazy ideas and an obsession with the human ego as a creative force in soccer. The premise might seem over-the-top and it is but that’s exactly the charm.

    image.png

The main character, Yoichi Isagi, is your typical average school guy. He’s not the fastest, nor the most technical, but he has something no one else does (ironically, something simple...) field vision. And I don’t just mean seeing the pitch. He sees possibilities, reads the players’ movements like he’s playing real-time chess.

I really enjoyed how the anime builds Isagi’s growth. He starts out insecure, full of self-doubt, until he discovers himself as a true predator on the field. But the best part is that he doesn’t become a perfect hero he becomes someone darker. And that’s something you rarely see in sports anime.

    image.png

If you’re expecting something like Haikyuu!!, full of friendship, motivation, and team spirit, let me warn you now: Blue Lock is the complete opposite.

Here, everyone’s willing to step over each other.

    Literally.

Characters have rage fits, identity crises, and egos bursting at the seams. Some even have existential meltdowns in the middle of a match. I was shocked at several points, like... dude, is this still about soccer? I guess so. But that’s what hooks you. With each new challenge, the confrontations aren’t just technical they’re mental. The plays become almost ideological battles. It’s bizarre and fascinating at the same time.

The animation was done by studio 8bit, which also worked on That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime. There are some really cool moments, like effects during crazy plays or the characters’ expressions when they’re freaking out. But to be honest, sometimes it feels like they forgot to animate half the episode.

Over on Reddit, lots of people are complaining about that and rightfully so. In some parts, it feels more like a dramatic narrated slideshow than an exciting match.

    image.png

I also watched the Nagi movie, and I liked it more than I expected. It shows the perspective of Seishiro Nagi, a character who, honestly, just seemed like a lazy prodigy in the series. But in the movie, we understand where he’s coming from and why he plays the way he does.

The movie's visuals are better than the anime in several aspects. The matches are more dynamic, and the camera work is more fluid. If you’ve seen the anime, it’s worth checking out. Just don’t expect a deep plot. The focus is all about style and crazy plays.

Look, I get why some people don’t like it. Blue Lock is over-the-top. The concept is nuts. Some moments border on the ridiculous. But you know when an anime dares to be something different and just dives into it head first? That’s what got me. It’s bold. It’s uncomfortable. And it’s addictive.

Sites like The Critique Guy praised it for that very boldness. Others, like AS.com, didn’t forgive the production flaws. And that’s okay. This is the kind of anime that splits opinions and I think that’s a good thing. Blue Lock surprised me because it did something few sports anime do: it treated the sport like a battlefield of minds, where victory is more about identity than skill.

    And honestly?

After this, it’s hard to go back to the regular soccer from other anime.

Hello to all anime fans, friends of Hive, I hope you are doing great... on this occasion, I want to share with you all my impressions and opinions of the second season of Blue Lock... a season that has been a roller coaster of emotions, with some episodes that have been the target of memes and mockery for different reasons that I will talk about later, but well... I consider necessary to wait to finish watching the whole season to be able to give my opinion, if you have followed the series, you will know that this season has been a hot topic for many reasons, both bad, but also for some good ones. Let's go a little deeper because I feel there is a lot to comment about it... first of all, I'm going to talk about the good things, episode 14.. if you saw it, you know exactly what I'm talking about, it's as if the animators have saved all their energy, passion and obviously budget for these last episodes... and boy, I think it was worth it! and boy do i consider it was worth it, the quality of the animation was amazing, honestly, it's comparable to some scenes in an anime movie, from the fluidity to the unique movements.. wow, also the use of cinematic angles.. I consider all of that screams perfection, something worthy of the last confrontation of these two experienced teams.. I don't want to sound exaggerated, but i really liked it.. The sequence where Sae goes into beast mode and Rin reaches her flow state, literally gave me goosebumps.. it was amazing to see these characters go head to head, you could really feel all the frustration and determination that went into every pass and every dribble, seriously it was unique.
But well, you have to backtrack a bit because being honest, this season didn't start off perfectly well... sure many of you must have seen the memes about the moving PNGs and the excessive use of mediocre CGI, they were very difficult moments to watch, these things put many fans off from the beginning, the inconsistency in the animation was just hard to ignore.. especially when you're watching a sports anime, where the main point is to feel the intensity and movement of the matches, that was the main reason that attracted many fans to watch this anime. There were moments where the characters looked so aesthetic that it seemed like I was watching a slideshow instead of an anime, something that completely broke the immersion and was quite disappointing... I even met some friends who went as far as to abandon this series because they were disappointed by the lack of visual quality they were seeing, and not to mention how some key moments of the manga that were adapted in a disappointing way. This made even me rethink whether to continue with the series or not... I must say that I was very close to abandoning it.

That being said, I have to admit that the story was what kept me hooked and made this one go chapter after chapter, even when the animation failed quite a bit, the plot completely grabbed me... the third team arc, plus the U20 match, the introduction of new characters and the ever changing dynamics between the already known characters, were enough reasons to keep me coming back week after week. Watching Isagi, our protagonist, grow and strategize during the matches was exciting, even if the visuals weren't always up to par... plus, the character development played a crucial role in compensating for the technical problems, especially with Rin and Sae, this well-built rivalry that seems a bit strange, made it always have an interesting emotional tension. Characters like Bachira, Barou, among others, brought their unique style of play and an interesting internal struggle that made me feel inside their moves, waiting for them to keep shining again and again, making the scenes where it appeared captivating.
And obviously we have to talk about Shido, this new problematic character that undoubtedly became one of my favorites and I still don't quite understand why... his personality is so monstrous that could make many hate him, but he has a certain charm at the same time that makes you can't stop watching him, his goals were one of the few moments where the animation really shined before the end and I loved them. . the energy and chaos he brought to the field was electrifying, they added a different layer that elevated each match... I didn't quite know what was going to happen with this crazy character.
Now back to the ending, because honestly that's all I can think about, I feel like the change in animation was so drastic that I felt it was a completely different anime, it looked nothing like what we had seen before.. they left behind the overly stiff characters and presented us with many fluid and dynamic moments that perfectly captured all the intensity of the match, the use of innovative techniques that eliminated shadows to focus on fluidity was a bold choice but it worked beautifully. It's these kinds of decisions that make you appreciate the artistry behind the animation... these last few episodes served as a catapult for characters that hadn't shined at all this season to shine in unique ways, making many of us fans feel that excitement for Blue Lock again.

Another thing I really liked about this season was the relationship between Rin and Sae, they showed us their past and how this intense rivalry came about... all the flashbacks seemed very interesting to me because we got to know much more about this character who was quite quiet and mysterious, we see where his fascination for soccer comes from and how he ends up hating his talented brother. . the way in which they planted this relationship, which was not always the one we know, I found it emotionally captivating, as it did not turn out to be what I thought it would be, I imagined a much more typical origin in this character, but he ended up surprising me and I give him points for that.
Another thing I loved was Isagi's goal, my god, that goal... the decision to remove the background music and leave just the sounds of the stadium, and the skill of our protagonist was great... this season I had felt he didn't shine as much as he should have, but the ending was so raw and real, you could actually feel like you were right there on the field with him. When that ball hit the net, the stadium just exploded...obviously I was thrilled with everyone else, but I have to say, as amazing as the ending was, it's hard to ignore all the previous shortcomings of the rest of the season. It's a shame how the studio ended up making those decisions... if they had put the same effort and love into the rest of the season, everything would have been different.
Although I admire these animators for achieving such a spectacular ending, I leave with a bittersweet feeling, because it makes me sad to think how wonderful the season would have been if they had had more time and resources. Well, in a way it is inspiring to see how the team tries to overcome its limitations and evolves more and more, and more... to know that all that effort and energy ended in a satisfactory end, is a nice feeling that leaves you very satisfied, I think many of you will be looking forward to more games just like me.

So, how's the season? For me, these Blue Lock episodes were a mixed experience... the plot and the way some of the characters unfolded I thought was excellent, as always, but the animation problems were a big drawback... the finale is the kind of episode that makes you forget almost all the flaws and just dive into that big showdown, but you can't cover the sun with a finger, so my final rating would be a 7.5 out of 10. The story and the characters deserve a lot of praise, but the technical problems drag it down a lot, although there were episodes in which they also shined, I must mention that, for example, Shido's goal in chapter 10 was a flash of what the series could achieve when it focused a lot on the visual quality, and in Barou's entrances they added an explosive energy that transmitted a lot of intensity, which I found spectacular, although unfortunately not all the episodes reached the expected level.
But well, that potential was always present, and it was a pity that it was not fully exploited, the ending alone is a 10/10, no doubt, but it can not be separated from the rest of the chapters that had a pretty... bad development... as I said, this is an experience. If you are some of those who abandoned this series, I invite you to pick it up again to realize the small improvements that come in the last chapters... I think they deserve to be seen. But well, I'm curious, what do you think, were you as impressed by the ending as I was, or were you too frustrated by the previous shortcomings of the season? You can leave me your opinions about these last chapters... that would be all of today's review. I hope you liked it. I'll leave you the opening of this season, which honestly wasn't one of my favorites either, I feel it was a bit weak, but I can't say it was ugly either... See you in the next reviews, take care, bye bye.

Precisely because of this I was looking for a movie or anime to watch and to comment here and I found a movie that was recommended by some people, which I decided to give it a chance. This time I'm talking about Blue Lock: Nagi's movie, which is basically a movie that focuses on one of the secondary characters of the series. Without further ado, I want to give you a bit of context of it and of course, tell you about my opinion.

The connection between Nagi and Reo is also a fundamental aspect of the story, as both partners need to find a balance between their friendship and their own aspirations.

I know it may seem strange that I watched this movie without first watching the anime as such, but I must tell you that according to what I read in some places, this movie could be a good summary in case you didn't have time or didn't want to watch the full anime. And the truth I managed to realize that this is how this movie is according to several opinions and what I could see has half of its content repeated from the anime, therefore by watching this movie I wouldn't need to watch the anime to understand what it is about, how it goes, the plot, the characters and other things

The truth is that I had not seen any anime focused on soccer, since they are not of my special interest, but as lately I have enough time, I decided to give this movie a chance and so I can more or less understand what the whole anime is about as such. I didn't expect great things from it, since, as I said, I don't love this kind of anime, but it did have quite a few surprises that gave me more than anything else going for the part of how it looked visually, since for me it is a spectacle taking out those moments where it comes to look like the FIFA video game.

Something that I find very interesting to see is the connection of friendship that exists between the protagonist of this film and his friend. At different moments we get to appreciate the vibe and presence of the protagonist of the anime as such, but mostly seen from the eyes of the protagonist of this film who is a totally different person much more introverted without real extreme passion for soccer and showing us the two sides of the coin of this world.

Something I should mention is that I felt that the plot was a bit stagnant, sometimes there was a feeling that the story wasn't going anywhere and that there was no real content and some moments seemed a bit forced as if they were trying to force certain characters into certain scenes, which was unnecessary. To give a good example of this is that in some moments they tried to fit in some scenes or characters that appear in the main anime, which in this movie were not relevant.

Although I commented that I really like the visual part of this anime I must confess that there are certain parts that seem a bit generic and bits taken directly from the anime which for me as a person who has not seen the anime is fine, but for others it can be a bit boring and repetitive. The truth, the soundtrack seemed very good to me, which helps to create an exciting atmosphere during the games.

In conclusion, if you are a soccer fan or simply liked this series a lot, this movie can be very good for you and I can entertain you quite a lot, although, according to my opinion, it has quite a few repetitive parts. The good thing is that it offers many interesting moments, although personally it could have been much better with some pretty basic changes. If you expect a good story, with epic plot twists, with a good soundtrack and pretty good visual effects, this movie can be for you, although if you saw the series you might be a little disappointed.

Thank you very much for stopping by and for coming here! This movie for me is pretty good, not amazing, but it's enjoyable. Although I do think that there are many details to fix, I feel that if there is another movie or continuation of this anime, they can fix them and it will be a better installment than this one. Without further ado, see you!

A week ago the second season of Blue Lock ended. And most of us were positively surprised by the way it ended.

In this blog I come to bring you my opinion and my vision of what was this season in general and what I hope for next season.

To begin with, a brief summary. Blue Lock is a series based on soccer. It is about Yoichi Isagi, a young Japanese soccer striker. He along with 299 other youngsters are secretly recruited into the Blue Lock program. It's about creating a striker good enough to lead Japan to win the World Cup.

Through various challenges, tests, tournaments and competitions, the aim is to eliminate strikers. Until the one who will be chosen to represent Japan in the World Cup remains.

It could be said that the second season started badly and ended very well. One complaint many of us had was that the animation was pitiful during the first few episodes. You could even say that there was almost no animation. At times it was static images moving back and forth. Where the ball simply bounced off the feet to simulate a play.

    3.png

This was something that disappointed and annoyed fans a lot. Because we are not talking about just any series. We are talking about an anime that harvests hundreds of thousands of fans around the world. It was disrespectful to the viewer.

But towards the end something happened, something changed. I don't know if they listened to the critics or if they had planned to pull out all the stops for the finale, but there was a 180° turn. To the point that Blue Lock became unrecognizable. As if I was watching another series.

In the last chapters the animation was a FUCKING SHOW. The movements became very fluid. They practically stopped using CGI animation to use 2D and traditional drawing. The level of detail increased a lot. Leaving us incredible shots. In general, this aspect improved considerably over the end.

This case reminded me a lot of what happened with Dragon Ball Super. At the beginning it also suffered from a horrible animation and drawing. That was the cause of many criticisms and mockery on the Internet. And that at the end they gave us an incredible animation during the battle of Goku, No. 17 and Freeza against Jiren.

I thought the match between Japan U20 and Blue Lock was amazing. I thought the duel between Sae and Rin was fantastic. Especially when Rin awakens the “flow” state where she plays with her tongue out and her arms dangling. Footballistically they don't make sense, but I loved it.

King Barou's goal was another great moment. Entering from behind, undetected, he scored the equalizer. And for more pleasure, celebrating like Cristiano Rolando.

Finally and best of all, Isagi's goal. After Rin has won the duel against his brother Sae, the ball is rejected in the air. Isagui, making use of luck (the same resource that Rin used to beat him before) finds the ball and using his direct shot in the last minute, scores the winning goal. Leaving the score 4 to 3.

  5. I Finally Watched "BLUE LOCK: Episode Nagi"... <3@tegoshei587d

After my mom and I rewatched the first season of Blue Lock, we finally watched the movie ***BLUE LOCK: Episode Nagi***. Thankfully, we didn't have to wait that long for the movie to be available online. *(Thanks, Netflix! lol)*
We're going to watch the second season soon, but we're still making it pile up more episodes before watching.
So for now, let me talk about *Episode Nagi*...

BLUE LOCK: Episode Nagi is a spin-off of Blue Lock which focuses on the character Nagi Seishirou.

Nagi is an extremely lazy and unmotivated person. Despite going to school every day, he's often seen either napping or playing games on his smartphone. He loves doing nothing and finds everything else troublesome to do. He's also often lethargic, be it in his actions or his speech.

However, the moment his path crossed with "the rich kid who gets what he wants" Mikage Reo, his carefree and hassle-free life started to disappear.
Although reluctantly, he found himself going with the flow and catering to the young master's whim... especially in terms of playing soccer together.

It didn't take long for their names to be known in the world of high school soccer as they continuously defeated powerhouse schools in their area. Reo being an awesome all-rounder paired with the unmotivated soccer genius Nagi... they were a force to reckon with.
And because of this, they were then invited to BLUE LOCK. Let me show you the trailer of the movie below.

    [VIDEO SOURCE](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1Sb9hSmjN9U)

Nagi is among my favorites (Bachira is still number one for me, though), so it was enjoyable watching Blue Lock from his point of view. It's giving me Haikyuu! The Dumpster Battle vibes since the movie was also done in Kenma's (a rival character) POV.
It was amusing to see how he and Reo met and how they started their partnership in more detail. Through this movie, the impact of how their relationship progressed in the anime became heavier.
I also like the part when the audience got a peek at Reo's mind after the second selection. It was heart-wrenching, but heartwarming at the same time. I love it when a sports anime shows more raw emotions apart from the excitement they give during matches.

Although the movie can be appreciated even without watching the series, I believe it's so much better to watch season one first. It'll give you a clearer view of what the film is about and you'll get to appreciate the characters even more.
It was a great watch! The movie only lasted for one and a half hours, but it's packed with not only fun and excitement but also inspiration... and anticipation of what's yet to come.
So, if you're into sports or soccer anime... or if you're a fan of Blue Lock, Episode Nagi is a must-watch! I hope you enjoy it as much as I did!
I'll end my post here. Thanks a lot for reading and see you around! I have to catch up with the manga soon. haha
    Have a good one!

  6. Bluelock[ENG/SPA]@omokhafue650d

[ENG] It was some time ago last year I watched the season one of this sports anime. I was privileged to watch the movie that premiered earlier this year two weeks ago and it was amazing. The movie talked was about the background of Nagi and how he met Reo,his only friend.

Blue lock is an anime that revolves around the world of football, with its main character as Isagi and other amazing side characters. A brief summary about blue lock would be a program designed to create strikers and top footballers in Japan. It is run by Jinpachi Ego and his main aim is to create a striker like the likes of Ronaldo,Messi, Neymar, etc out of an ordinary football player. He says the driving force to this is ego. This drives players to prove themselves on the field but only a true striker;someone determined to make a difference,a quick adapter no matter the situation can do this. Ego believes to be a striker you have to get rid of all forms of team work and play to go for the goal yourself. That's where adapting come in, that's also where evolving comes in. You can't evolve without adapting first. Evolving means changing from one's previous state to a one of more glory if that makes any sense. And you can't try to prove yourself without having a large ego. Pride is very sensitive here as it has some resemblance to a large ego.

The first season of Blue lock premiered 2022, around the same time the world cup was going on and to say it was a known anime during that particular period was an understatement. It was everywhere in otaku corners,TikToks and Instagram. The beauty about Blue lock is its amazing side characters. I wasn't the least impressed with the tech and football tricks but I was impressed with Nagi's trick. Yes, I'm a fan girl.

2c533654e1f73765bf482d7008f0533c.jpg Source With that, I'll be on about Episode Nagi. Episode Nagi is a Blue lock movie created to tell us the story about the history between Nagi and Reo. Nagi is weird, an introvert and gamer,he has no friends, didn't care about it and considered everything a hassel. Reo is a wealthy kid with everything at his disposal and had everything he wanted. He was bored of it. Bored of having everything at his disposal and being good at everything until he saw a video of some players playing football. That's when he got intrigued, excited and wanted to do that. Wanted to play football. Episode Nagi shows us how Reo and Nagi became friends, how they got theirselves in bluelock and it reflected a bit on the breakout between them. A heartbreaking scene, seeing Nagi depart from Reo. Their friendship was the best in the entire cast.I love them so much!

I'm going to take a step back from sport animes for a while. I want to watch a bl and throw my phone to one edge of my bed whenever one of the characters do something cringe and I recieve first hand embarrassment for him. Blue Lock is a good anime, although it was basic in a way but it was really good. I can't rate it cause I'll be biased,I love Nagi and Reo and yes,*I would def rate it higher because of the two of them and not because of the plot or anything.

    Thanks for reading.

One thing that amazes me about the Japanese is their ability to take any sport and turn it into an entertaining anime. They have the ability to take a sport that isn't that interesting and make it very engaging. Like for example Haikyū! With volleyball or Kuroko no basketball.

This time I want to talk about Blue Lock, a series that focuses on soccer. This sport is not at all boring by itself, but I consider that this work manages to give it unique spices and emotions.

The protagonist of this story is Isagi Yoichi, a 17-year-old boy who loves soccer and dreams of becoming a professional. It all starts when he loses a school tournament because of a play where he preferred to make a pass instead of scoring a goal. That decision cost him the win and the game. This caused him to be left out of the nationals.

Then arriving home discouraged and desolate, he finds a letter from the Japanese soccer union. An invitation to a training program called Blue Lock. It consisted of searching for the best striker. In the hope that his national team could win a world cup.

The Blue Lock program is made up of 300 good strikers from all over Japan. Participants are exposed to various competitions and challenges to exploit their skills and potential. Those players who are not able to overcome the challenges have to leave the program. What this does is to gradually decrease the number of players.

One thing that fascinates me about this series is how many interesting characters there are. Apart from the protagonist, Isagi, there are several that are very striking and remarkable. I love seeing how so many personalities and so many game modes can coexist perfectly in the same work. The best part is that each character has a particular effect, expression, color or animation when playing. This aspect is excellent, in my opinion.

On the other hand, a big mistake is that it is only about forwards. By rescinding so many positions and concentrating only on one, the series loses a lot of sense. What I mean is that during several stretches they are forced to form teams of 3, 5 or 11 to face other teams. Therefore, some of them will have to take the position of goalkeepers, defenders and midfielders. It is incomprehensible that you are supposedly looking for the best striker and most of the participants do not play in that position.

    5.png

Isagi is a great protagonist. A young man with a unique talent for sniffing out goals and getting ahead of the play. He would be something like the brains of the team. It was nice for me to see how little by little his game grew and evolved, along with his personality. Putting aside insecurities and fears to gradually become a great striker and footballer in general.

In conclusion, this series is very good. Obviously, it has its bad things. But overall, it's very worthwhile. And even more so if you're a soccer lover. You'll enjoy it even more.

  8. Review: BLUE LOCK | The search for Japan's best striker all times [ENG-ESP]@jessuses1381699d

Greetings, and welcome to all, anime lovers! 💗

Hello to all anime and manga fans, this time I want to share with you a new review.... This time I will talk about the anime: BLUE LOCK. A sports anime focused on soccer, but with an aesthetic and a unique premise... BLUE LOCK is one of those anime that catch you from the first moment, I think the end of the first chapter leaves you completely impressed and tells you perfectly that this is not a sports anime any, the plot seemed to me quite innovative... here the story focuses on a very ruthless project that wants to create the perfect striker so he can lead Japan to win the world cup... This striker will have to be an amazing player, but above all he has to be selfish, he has to prioritize his own success above all others.. this approach tells you that this anime leaves a little aside, at least in the first instance, to the team dynamics...
This series has an amazing cast of characters, each with their own unique personalities and abilities that serve to bring a lot to the story individually. In this story, the protagonist will be Isagi Yoichi, he is a talented young man who ends up being dragged into this project.. being in this project and living with the other participants, he begins to realize that to survive he needs to develop a unique and selfish instinct.. This at first generates a very interesting and satisfying conflict to see within the character himself, we see how a part of him rejects this selfish nature, but at the end of the day it is something he will need in order to go further.
Also the secondary characters are amazing, my favorite without a doubt was Bachira, who has a dazzling technique and a very charismatic personality, another character that I also liked a lot was Barou.. he has a super powerful attitude and an egocentric presence that brings a lot of authority.. we also have many more characters that without a doubt have a lot to contribute both in the story and in the skills, the story shows all the internal struggles of the players and little by little you see yourself immersed in their lives and motivations.

    image.png

Another aspect that I really liked about this anime is how it handles the different matches, each match is a really strategic battle where these players have to learn to adapt and change their way of seeing the game constantly... these matches are intense and exciting, with moments of great tension that make you enjoy a lot. The series manages to capture the whole essence of soccer, not only as a simple physical sport, but also as a mental game where you need to use your head and employ different strategies, players have to think fast, adapt and overcome their opponents using both their physical ability and their intelligence and ability to prevent things.
The character design and animation are top notch, the moments of action and tension are really well animated, the characters have unique designs that I found amazing... each one perfectly reflects their personality. In addition, the music and sound effects perfectly complement all this atmosphere of rivalry, fighting and sports competitiveness, it is very interesting to analyze the philosophy behind BLUE LOCK. The idea that selfishness can be a virtue in soccer can be quite controversial and may go against what many consider or teach about what soccer is all about, however, the series shows you an approach that can somehow turn out to be effective. Through eccentric monologues, the series even makes you question your own idea about sports and what it means to be in a competition and to be able to represent a team or a city or a country.

I also really like how this anime is not afraid to touch on realistic issues, we see how these players face constant pressure, and how they even have to make many significant personal sacrifices in order to succeed or try to succeed, since, as in many sports, success and victory is never assured. The series does not sugarcoat these aspects, this makes it much more realistic, surely if any soccer fan or soccer player manages to watch this anime they can come to identify with some aspects.
As for some negative things I noticed, I can say that sometimes the series feels a bit repetitive, mainly in the matches, sometimes it seems that certain teams always use the same strategies and the same techniques over and over again, but make no mistake, this does not diminish the overall enjoyment of the series at all, because as I was saying, even with this, the matches are always the best thing about this anime... somehow they manage to bring something new and different in the story.
BLUE LOCK really shines for its ability to inspire, even when it comes to selfishness, these young people really fight with everything they have to achieve their dreams... they are not just empty people who are bad people or selfish people just on a whim, but these characters really want to achieve a dream, and that is what the series conveys to you, it reminds you of the importance of dedication, effort and passion, no matter what you do or how good you are. The series brings and also shows you the good things about having self-confidence and fighting with everything you have to achieve your goals.

This anime is a work that stands out mainly for its originality, for its cast of varied and charismatic, as well as complex characters, and its exciting action and animation... if you are a soccer fan or just enjoy sports anime, you should definitely give this series a chance. I feel like it really has a lot to offer, and it sure keeps you very entertained, I was mainly kept waiting every week to see the next episode. It has some plot twists that I found really surprising, and the animation in certain moments is amazing, it has very good openings and endings as well, so within the technical aspects, I feel it's way above average, and I think that's perfectly reflected in the fame it has achieved. I give it a 9/10 rating.
It's a series that not only shows you something different in the approach to sports anime, but also leaves a lasting impression. I mean, you finish watching it and you really feel like you saw something different, and you really want to continue to see how these characters are going to develop...I find myself very anxious to see the second season. I think the first season set a pretty high standard, and I have no doubt it will continue to surprise us more and more. Well, I hope you liked this review. If you haven't seen this anime, I highly recommend it. I will share the intro below so you can watch it. Take care, I'll see you in the next reviews. Bye bye.

In the 2022 World Cup, 2 new soccer-themed anime series were released, one of them was Ao Ashi and the other one, the one I am writing about this time, Blue Lock. A 2nd season has already been confirmed for this anime. The first one had 24 episodes, being its directors Tetsuaki Watanabe and Shunsuke Ishikawa. Developed by 8-Bit studio.

Synopsis: Yoichi Isagi is a young soccer player. After suffering a defeat for giving an unused pass, frustration depresses him; however, he will have a chance when he and 299 other young soccer talents are selected for the Blue Lock project. The purpose of this project will be to create the ultimate soccer forward.

If I had to sum up this series in one sentence it would be to mix your classic soccer anime with Squid Game. And I say this, because the idea of the Blue Lock project is to create the ultimate striker out of 300 candidates, whereby the vast majority of participants will be eliminated after various phases. At the same time, there is talk of the selfishness that a striker must have and that is one of the qualities sought in Blue Lock.

Having said that, we will see a great variety of characters that will try to get as far as possible in this race, where they will have to compete in different ways. There is a lot of tactics and soccer strategy, but we'll also see the diverse personalities of the characters, and they will try to advance even with unethical or honorable methods.

Entretiene bien.

Although at the beginning you had doubts, the truth is that it feels dynamic, and that the defeat is definitely paid. It entertains well.

About the animation, you can say that it is quite compliant, without being the most outstanding, at least it knows how to make a good game of lights for the most crucial moments. The music doesn't stand out much, I'm not convinced by the openings and endings. The design of the characters is good, most of them can be differentiated without problems.

Recomendable.

If you like soccer and you like reality shows where there is only one winner, you will love this mix. Recommended.

  10. BLUE LOCK (anime) Didn't Fail My Expectations <3 <3 <3@tegoshei1149d

A few years back, I got so crazy about a certain a sports manga I randomly read online. It's a soccer manga and I found it really unique and different from all the other soccer manga and anime I have read and watched. Because of how hyped up I was after reading it, I remember making a post about it and wanting to have an anime version of it. *[I found the post here!](https://peakd.com/hive-158489/@tegoshei/two-sports-manga-that-im-hoping-to-have-an-anime-adaptation-blue-lock-and-bungo3-3-3)*

And guess what? Just almost a couple of years after that, the animated series of Blue Lock was announced. It made me so happy and I really was expecting something great from it.
I didn't watch it until a couple weeks back. I tried to stop myself from watching it while it was ongoing because I wanted to binge watch the whole season... and so I did.

    image.png IMAGE SOURCE

The anime didn't fail me. It was greatly made and was as awesome as I expected it to be. The visuals, the animation, the music they used... *chef's kiss!*
I especially like it when the animated version actually follows the manga. It was superb! I fell in love with the manga version the first time I read it years back and after watching the anime, it made me fall all over again. The manga is still ongoing, but I'm more than willing to read again from the beginning. *haha*
It's awesome that I could still feel pretty excited watching it even though I'm already aware of the story. I guess it's the impact of the animation. Seeing the characters move and play extraordinary soccer. The effects were as crazy as I have imagined them to be. And the art style... *ugh!* I've been all-praise to it with the manga, but seeing a colored version in the anime is beyond amazing!

As you see in the trailer, BLUE LOCK isn't the usual soccer anime people are familiar with.
BLUE LOCK is a facility where "diamond in the rough" strikers gather. They're going to undergo crazy challenges and trainings to produce amazing and egoistic strikers that would make Japanese soccer better than the rest of the world.
Inside the Blue Lock, you have to survive and prove your worth... otherwise, you won't be able to see yourself in the soccer world ever again. Well, at least that's what they claim it to be. ***It's a world of eat or be eaten.***

There are a bunch of monstrous players inside Blue Lock, but this character really caught my eye ever since I started reading the manga. Sure, every character is awesome and has really interesting abilities, but I just can't take my eyes off Bachira. I guess it's because I love eccentric characters... as well as those with gap moe. He can transform from an adorable and innocent baby to a monster ready to devour his prey.
Anyway, I'm looking forward to watching the second season. It'll get even better from now. :) And I'm also planning to read the manga again because when I caught up with the latest available chapter last time, I decided to stop and wait for it to pile up so I could binge read... but as always, I forgot what chapter I last read was. So, from the beginning it is! <3
If you're into sports anime, I recommend you give this one a shot! It'll be worth it. ;) See you around otaku(s)!!! I'm going to be actively talking about anime again... I hope this community thrive on Hive, too. <3

This is a manga written by Muyuneki Kaneshiro and illustrated by Yuusuke Nomura. It is staged after the 2018 FIFA world cup, Japan lost in the 16th round. The Newest member of the Japanese Football Association (JFA) Anri Teieri is sure that Japan can do better and convinces the JFA president to move forward with the Bluelock project, which would be directed by the eccentric Jinpachi Ego. The aim of the project is to creat the world's best striker and to meet that aim; talented highschool players were scouted and put in a strict training regimen in a prison-like facility and begin their training for the 2022 FIFA world cup.

Isagi Yoichi is a 2nd year forward of Ichinan highschool and he is the main protagonist of the series. In chapter 1, his team was playing against Matsukaze Kokuō for a spot to play in Nationals. At the last minute Isagi managed to get the ball and was in a spot to shoot but he passed to a teammate who shoots and misses thus making them lose the match. Soon after the loss he gets an invitation to the Bluelock program, on getting to the venue he meets Ryosuke Kira the forward of Matsukaze Kokuō. Although the meeting didn't last long for he was expelled in the Dormitory Test.

    Isagi-Yoichi-2-1-878x1024.jpg nntheblog.com

Dormitory test This was the first test in the Bluelock program. In this test the 300 invitees were divided into 25 groups of 12 people. Each group of 12 people are held in a large room and the last person who is "it" or has possession of the football by the end of 136 seconds is disqualified. At the end of the test one person is disqualified and the 11 people left form a "team" and proceed to the next selection. Coincidentally Ryosuke Kira was in Isagi's group and he was "it" at the ending of the 136 seconds. He threw a fit about how unreasonable the test was and asked Ego what he was trying to prove. Ego proceeded to explain in his own special sadistic way how the test correlates to football and the making of a perfect striker and still told Kira to be on his way or in harsher terms "fuck off" 😂

    Kira_confronts_Ego.png fandom.com

After the Dormitory test, the remaining 11 players in each group where brought up as teammates and made to go through other tests together, and compete in the blue lock league in order to make the perfect team consisting of only strikers. Isagi's team Z was one of the most outstanding with almost all of the members growing at such unprecedented paces. Giving them the strength to beat the unbeatable Team V.

Blue Lock vs Japan U20 The president of the Japanese Football Association demanded results from the Bluelock project so Ego goaded him into sanctioning the Japan U20 vs Bluelock match. With the match being sanctioned the Bluelock players worked harder to get their ratings high enough so they could be picked as the starting 11. The match was filled with blood boiling scenes of pure football skills passing rivalry. With Itochi Sae leading the U20 team and Itochi Rin in bluelock team the brothers battle was a heated one. The match later ended in bluelock favour with Isagi scoring the winning goal. The match was livestreamed all over Japan at such everyone saw the Japan national team beat by highschool kids.

The manga is currently on the neo-egoist league Following Blue Lock's triumph in the Japan U-20 match, which was broadcast to Japan and the entire world, Jinpachi Ego was granted full control of the Japan National Team, and a slew of eager investors stepped forward to place bets on the Blue Lock Project and its potential. With greater control and more resources, Ego made the decision to not only train his players more thoroughly in anticipation of the World Cup, but also to turn the training into a big entertainment undertaking that would involve and be seen by the entire world.

Along with the regulars from the last Japan U-20 team, Ego invited all Blue Lock players who advanced to the Third Selection and forced them to choose a country to practice in so that the players would be able to combat the world in the next world cup. When the players choose their respective countries. They would train using that countries ideals and whatever reaction that is produced is put to test on the field. After initial training is over the master striker of the country which will act as the coach of that country would pick a starting 11 from with his club or the blue lock players that chose his country. They would play in a tournament and when the tournament is over the top players would be picked as Japan's U20 regulars for the world cup. Personally I give this manga a 10 out of 10 considering all sport animes out there. That's all on the manga for now folks. I really hope the anime airs this fall🥺 and for those who haven't read it, I recommend Blue Lock for your sporty anime needs.
