Who else has watched Breath of Life? I've watched the movie before, and honestly, I couldn't forget it. I had no choice but to download it again and watch it.
The movie is about Timi, an intelligent man who becomes a clergyman. He returns to Nigeria with his wife and daughter. Everything seems to be going well, and Timi is a man of God. He feared God. And suddenly, a terrible thing changed his life completely. There was a certain man who was very dangerous. No one talked about him. When you crossed his path, he would make sure he dealt with you.
The man killed someone, and Timi saw the event. So he couldn't keep quiet. He decided to speak out. This is when the dangerous man hunted Timi's family. He killed his wife and his only daughter. This is when the film begins to be interesting. Because the death of his wife and daughter was very terrible. The evil man set a fire in the car, and Timi watched his wife and daughter burn to ashes.
This incident made Timi become a different person. Timi was very heartbroken. He lost his faith and even tried to kill himself.
I find this part so interesting because God has a plan for him. It isn't the time that God set for him to die. And so Timi used a gun and tried to shoot himself, but it wasn't working. When he shot another place, it worked. He was so hopeless at that moment.
Many years later, no one comes to Timi's house because he is very dangerous. He's no longer the man he used to be. But somehow, Elijah comes into his life as a housekeeper. Elijah is a young man who wants to start a church, and he's very serious about his faith. Timi treats him harshly, but with time, Elijah understands him, and they later build a relationship slowly.
What I observe and love in this story again is how Elijah actually turned Timi back to the person he was. You can't call God's name in the presence because he disagreed that there is a God since the incident that happened to him. But slowly, Elijah makes him call God's name again. I find that part so interesting.
Along the way, Elijah fell seriously ill. Because of his breathing condition, he needed a lung transplant. Timi realises that he can give Elijah the chance to live. He decided to give his lungs to Elijah, and he knew fully well that he wouldn't survive the operation. Also, he knows that this is what God kept him for so long. And one thing I like about it is that he dies in joy. Timi Left Elijah with some saying "words I've lived my life it's time to live yours"
I actually learned a lot of things from this story. Purpose. Everyone has a purpose in this life. We just need to figure it out with calmness and patience, and also forgiveness. The story is very, very amazing and interesting. I absolutely like Timi's action scenes. [All screenshot are from the movie]
