¡Hola amigos! En el día de hoy les traigo otra película navideña, pero esta es poco convencional y es más comedia y fantasía que otra cosa, lo aclaro para los que no son fans del romance. Les estoy hablando de Querido Santa.
Hello friends! Today I bring you another Christmas movie, but this one is unconventional and is more comedy and fantasy than anything else, I clarify for those who are not fans of romance. I'm talking about Dear Santa.
Trama - Plot
La historia gira en torno a Liam, un niño de 11 años que está atravesando un momento difícil a nivel familiar. Liam tiene dislexia, se confunde el orden de las letras en una palabra, por lo que cuando decide escribirle una carta a Santa para hacer feliz a su madre que tiene un espíritu navideño muy arriba, se la termina mandando a Satán. Este al recibir la carta se sorprende porque no es normal que un niño le escriba para pedirle deseos, pero no le importa porque al enterarse de que lo confundió con Santa Claus decide seguir el juego y concederle 3 deseos al niño a cambio de que este le venda su alma.
The story revolves around Liam, an 11-year-old boy who is going through a difficult time at the family level. Liam has dyslexia, he gets confused the order of the letters in a word, so when he decides to write a letter to Santa to make his mother happy, who has a very high Christmas spirit, he ends up sending it to Satan. When Satan receives the letter he is surprised because it is not normal for a child to write to him to make wishes, but he does not care because when he finds out that he mistook him for Santa Claus, he decides to play along and grant the child 3 wishes in exchange for selling his soul.

Creo que la idea original de esta película estuvo muy ingeniosa, se las arregló para ser divertida y no caer en lo absurdo. Me llamo la atención que contará con actores como Jack Black que es sinónimo de que habrá risas aseguradas y no estaba equivocada, pero me super sorprendió la participación del cantante Post Malone. Bueno, a decir verdad, si cayó en lo absurdo en algunas escenas, pero fue todo muy entretenido de ver por lo que no es una queja.
I think the original idea of this movie was very ingenious, it managed to be fun and not fall into absurdity. I was surprised to see actors like Jack Black, which is synonymous with guaranteed laughs and I wasn't wrong, but I was super surprised by the participation of the singer Post Malone. Well, to tell the truth, it did fall into the absurd in some scenes, but it was all very entertaining to watch so it's not a complaint.
Liam me pareció un niño muy bueno y carismático a su manera, me daba cierta ternura y risa, creo que se desenvolvió muy bien a pesar de su edad y los problemas que podría tener. Solo le faltaba un poco más de seguridad. Por otro lado, sus padres son otra historia, en un momento cuando Liam les contó todo este enredo con Santa y Satán se preocuparon mucho por su salud mental y trajeron a un psicólogo infantil, pero en realidad los que necesitaban asistencia eran ellos.
Liam seemed to me a very good and charismatic boy in his own way, he gave me a certain tenderness and laughter, I think he handled himself very well despite his age and the problems he might have. He just lacked a little more confidence. On the other hand, his parents are another story, at one point when Liam told them all this mess with Santa and Satan they were very concerned about his mental health and brought in a child psychologist, but in reality the ones who needed assistance were them.
Es una película en la que predomina la comedia por lo que me pareció desafortunado que incluyeran cierta tragedia que termina aportándole un dramatismo que no pega tanto con la historia que querían vender en un principio. Siento que quedó un poco colgado, sobre todo porque no se sabe bien que paso hasta el final y ahí te mandan el golpe bajo que me hizo emocionar bastante.
It is a film in which comedy predominates, so I found it unfortunate that they included some tragedy that ends up providing a drama that does not fit so much with the story they wanted to sell in the beginning. I feel that it was a bit hung up, especially because you don't really know what happened until the end and then they send you the low blow that made me quite emotional.
Se ve que no puede faltar el que me conmueve con las películas de aires navideños aunque sean tontas y algo absurdas. Pero la disfruté bastante, es una película entretenida y está buena para pasar el rato y ver algo en familia, ya que puede ser del agrado de todos. Tiene sus detalles, pero fue más de lo que esperaba de la historia. Así que por mi parte se las recomiendo.
I can't help but be moved by Christmas movies, even if they are silly and somewhat absurd. But I enjoyed it quite a lot, it is an entertaining movie and it is good to pass the time and see something with the family, since it can be liked by everyone. It has its details, but it was more than I expected from the story. So for my part I recommend it.
