  1. "In the Heat of the Night" (1967) - To The Point - Movie Review@gamemapmaker1398d

Racially themed thriller, (a movie back from the 60's) when racism was mostly still socially accepted in some parts of the USA. "Accepted" as in where a black person could still get killed for some bullshit reason, in public and nobody would blink and eye, or dare say anything about it. Pretty sickening stuff that happened not so long ago, and still happens today. Not so blatantly, i'd say, but still happens. HS900484_poster_1920_1080.jpg Image source: https://hollywoodsuite.ca/

Movie's about an out-of-state black policeman working a case in a town that is not so "progressive" as others, and the trappings he finds himself. While imposing himself as a person (and a powerful thing to watch) towards even his fellow policemen, he's not at all surprised, even expecting to find himself in situations that in his mind are unacceptable, but as a single person cannot put a stop to.

That doesn't mean he gives up, however.

A movie that depicts racism, one black man that stands above it, and the shift of mentality of some of the people in the town.

There's a series also, probably based on the movie, or maybe the book in which the movie was based on, that run from 1988–1995, if this type of story/drama is something you'd like to watch.

    Rated: " Pretty good movie".
