   Studio Ghibli has countless films, and despite being familiar with them, I haven't been able to watch them all, but that's something I intend to change. Yesterday, I decided to sit down and watch one of Miyazaki's most popular films, Kiki's Delivery Service. This film, despite being very cool and beautiful, hasn't been one of my favorites because it has a very simple plot; I didn't feel the "magic" that I perceive in other films, even though the protagonist is a little witch. The Studio Ghibli universe is a very striking one, and its stories always explore very specific human emotions; this film was no exception.

   El Studio Ghibli tiene un sinfín de películas que a pesar de conocerlas no he sido capaz de verlas todas pero eso es algo que pretendo cambiarlo. Ayer decidí sentarme a ver una de las más populares del maestro Miyazaki, Kiki: entregas a domicilio. Este film a pesar de ser uno bien cool y bonito no ha sido de mis preferidos porque tiene una trama bien simple, no la sentí con esa "magia" que se le percibe a otras películas a pesar de que la protagonista sea una pequeña bruja. El universo del Studio Ghibli es uno muy llamativo y sus historias siempre exploran sentimientos humanos muy específicos, con este film no fue la excepción.

   Here we have Kiki, a 13-year-old witch who has entered the phase of her life where she must undergo her training period. As tradition dictates among witches, when they turn 13, the little ones must leave their homes for a year so they can begin to fend for themselves. Kiki was the first to want to leave, so she could see the world and, of course, complete her training. One fine night, along with Jiji, her black cat, she decided to head to an unknown place near the sea to settle down and begin living.

Tal y como dicta la tradición entre las brujas cuando se cumple 13 años las pequeñas tienen que abandonar sus casas por un año para que así puedan comenzar a valerse por si mismas. Kiki era la primera que quería irse para así conocer el mundo y claro está, completar su entrenamiento. Una buena noche, junto a Jiji, su gato negro, decide poner rumbo a un lugar desconocido pero que fuera cerca del mar para asentarse y comenzar a vivir.

   Eventually, she arrives in a town where a sweet baker gives her a roof over her head in exchange for helping her at the bakery, while she also starts her own delivery job. From here, we'll see how Kiki navigates the adult world, where she'll be forced to take on responsibilities, be independent, and learn to trust people. Kiki has a problem: she doesn't trust everyone. I think because she's a witch, she thinks she won't be accepted everywhere. This may be a minor inconvenience at first, but later, we'll see her lose that insecurity as she gets to know more and more of the people who surround her.

   Al final llega a un pueblo en donde una dulce panadera le da techo a cambio de que la ayude en la panadería al mismo tiempo que ella comienza con su trabajo de entregas a domicilio. A partir de aquí veremos como Kiki le toca vivir en el mundo adulto en donde se verá obligada a tener responsabilidades, a ser independiente y aprenderá a confiar en las personas. Kiki tiene un problema y es que no se fía de todo el mundo, creo que por ser bruja piensa que no la van a aceptar en todos lados. Esto al principio puede que sea un pequeño inconveniente pero después la veremos perder esa inseguridad conforme va conociendo más y más a las personas que la empiezan a rodear.

   As I said, the plot is very simple but full of adventure. Each delivery she makes is a "journey" in which she experiences different things and in which she will have to test her abilities and her will to do things right. Needless to say, Kiki is a kind, brave, and friendly person with a very big heart. Her desire to "take on the world" and the excitement with which she lives each day are what give the film a moving message. Personally, and knowing that she was a witch, I thought that this training had to do with something related to that world, but that wasn't the case; it's the training of life.

   Como dije la trama es muy sencilla pero llena de aventuras. Cada entrega que hace es un "viaje" en el que vive cosas diferentes y en el que tendrá que poner a prueba lo capaz que es y las ganas de hacer las cosas bien. Está de más decir que Kiki es una persona bondadosa, valiente, amable y con un corazón muy grande. Sus ganas de "comerse el mundo" y la ilusión con la que vive cada día es lo que hace que la película tenga un mensaje conmovedor. En lo personal y al saber que ella era bruja pensé que ese entrenamiento tenía que ver precisamente con algo relacionado a ese mundo pero no fue así; es el entrenamiento de la vida.

   The value of friendship is also present, as Kiki meets Tombo, a boy who wants to be her friend and, with great desire, ends up winning our protagonist's heart. Kiki also goes through something that will test everything she is and show her that self-love and self-confidence are just as important, if not more so, than everything else. Speaking of animation, it's not very different from what we know from Ghibli: very well-crafted lines, a very specific color palette, good details, and a top-notch soundtrack. Studio Ghibli always highlights everything visual; they don't have bad or ugly animations; they're all incredible.

   El valor de la amistad también es algo que está presente y es que Kiki conoce a Tombo, un niño que busca ser amigo de ella y que con muchas ganas se termina ganando el corazón de nuestra protagonista. También Kiki pasa por algo que pondrá a prueba todo lo que es ella y que le demostrará que el amor propio y la confianza que se puede tener hacia uno mismo es igual o más importante que todo lo demás. Hablando de la animación pues no muy diferente a lo que conocemos de Ghibli, trazos muy bien logrados, la paleta de colores es muy específica, buenos detalles y la banda sonora es muy top. Todo lo que tiene que ver con lo visual siempre Studio Ghibli lo va a destacar, no tienen animaciones malas o feas, todas son increíbles.

   In short, a very cool film that's perfect for passing the time. It teaches us about hard work, the value of wanting to achieve things on our own, that it's important to let ourselves be helped sometimes, and above all, to trust people who have good intentions. Kiki is courage and fear rolled into one, and that makes it super realistic. Highly recommended, although, as I said, it's not my favorite of Miyazaki's works. I'll leave the trailer below.

   En fin, una película muy cool y que es perfecta para pasar el rato. Nos enseña el trabajo duro, el valor de querer conseguir las cosas por nosotros mismos, en que es importante dejarse ayudar a veces y sobretodo en confiar en las personas que tienen buenas intenciones. Kiki es valentía y miedo en una sola persona y eso la hace super realista. Muy recomendada aunque y como ya dije, no es mi preferida de las obras de Miyazaki. Les dejo el tráiler por acá abajo.

   Happy Saturday, friends! I hope you are all doing well with your families. For some time now, I have been really into several of the films by Studio Ghibli, which is one of the most respected studios in the world. Its unique style of animation, its characters, and the beautiful messages conveyed in each of its films are what make it so unique and special. Today, I want to share my thoughts on the beautiful film “Kiki's Delivery Service.” As usual, I don't want to give away too much about the movie, just tell you what I think, or the message that I personally took away from it, and I love being able to recommend something that you may not have seen yet.

   Like many Studio Ghibli films, this movie is set in a fantasy world where witches exist and, upon reaching the age of thirteen, must make the decision to leave for a time to gain independence and develop their powers. She has a black kitten named Jiji with whom she has a very strong connection. They communicate with each other. By the way, I want to make an important aside because I loved this kitten character. He really brought a special freshness to the film. He is very funny, and as a lover of the little things, I loved seeing him. The thing is, Kiki flies away on her broomstick to a small town to be a big girl, grow up, and be independent, which later becomes quite a challenge for her. It's something new and undoubtedly a very important new stage in her life.

   

   I feel that what this film has left me with most is that it shows us, through the story of this little girl, the changes that happen to us in life, how hard it can sometimes be to be in a new place, with people who may not be very attentive to you, that you have to fend for yourself, that everything is new and overwhelming, that life can make you doubt yourself, your gifts, and your abilities, that we should never compare ourselves to anyone else, and that we all have a different destiny.

   Kiki felt sad at times. She didn't know what was wrong with her. She felt overwhelmed by people who perhaps didn't connect with her or didn't appreciate what they had. She began to doubt herself, and that weakened her confidence. We can't always go it alone in life. I know what it feels like to arrive in a new place, where there are situations or cultures that you don't fully understand, and you withdraw as a form of self-defense. However, it's important to gradually open up to the world. If there were people who helped Kiki, I had people who supported me and made both situations easier and that new path to becoming more independent successful and bearable. It's a beautiful film, I highly recommend it. It leaves a very interesting message and, of course, I love the animation. The fact that it was created in 1989 seems incredible and wonderful to me.    Hello everyone, I hope you all are doing well. Today I want to share about one of Studio Ghibli's movies which is Kiki's Delivery Service. This anime was released in 1989 and it is a old one, but trust me, when you watch it you won't feel like it's that old. I always had this on my watch list for a while, and I never got the time to watch it peacefully but finally, I've got enough time to watch it. It's 1 hour and 42 minutes long, and you will not realise how quickly the time passes because the movie is truly captivating. I have learned many things from this movie, and I really admire the hard work of the production team for creating such mesmerizing animations as they are the perfectionist also the dialogues are amazing, and the voice artists play an important role.

   The story is about a teenager witch her name is **Kiki** and she's 13 years old. She has a cat called **Jiji** who is always there by her side, **Kiki** is now prepared to take on the world, to begin her new life she started to live in European seaside village. There she faces many difficulties but still manges to survive through everything.

   When you watch the trailer, you will find good vibes in it. When I first watched the trailer, it felt like it was full of positivity. The music in the trailer gives off old-time vibes.

   At the beginning of the story, we see how Kiki belongs to a family of witches, and she is very confident and ambitious about her abilities. She wants to live in a different place on her own, believing that she has become a grown witch. Kiki's parents are very supportive of her, and her mother gives her own broom to Kiki as a gift when she is leaving home.

   Kiki leaves her parents with her cat, Jiji and everyone comes to see her off. When Kiki reaches the European seaside village, she is amazed by it, as she has never seen anything like it before; everything is new to her. She is very excited to meet new people, but once she starts to have a conversation with someone in public, she realizes that the people from this place do not like witches and tend to avoid them. This situation makes Kiki very sad.

   However, she meets Tombo, who seems to approach her to be friends, but Kiki is not that interested in him and wants to avoid him.

   After a while, she cannot find a place to live, and then a woman named Osono gives her shelter, but she has to deliver her things to the customer. Kiki is happy that she has found a place to live and also a job to work on. Most of the time we see that Kiki is always talking with her cat, they both could understand each other as Kiki had powers to understand her cats language. There was a great bond seen between them.

   While delivering one day, the product she was delivering was a cat doll, but she lost it in the jungle, where she met Ursula, who helped Kiki complete her delivery.

   On the other hand, we see Tombo is very interested in Kiki, and he is always curious about her. He has a dream to fly like Kiki, so he starts to craft a plane. In the end, Kiki and Tombo become friends, but somehow Kiki gets upset because of Tombo's other friends, and she loses her powers to fly due to some circumstances. She cannot even understand the words of her cat anymore. This situation leads Kiki into depression.

   Then again, Ursula comes to help, and she makes Kiki realize that not always being perfect is not required; it's a normal process everyone goes through, and there's nothing to worry about. Kiki starts to feel better when Ursula helps her through her depression. To be honest this scene made me realize not to overthink a lot when I can't do something right but I always end up thinking negatively. Ursula's words has helped me a lot to heal.

   Kiki gets her powers back when she sees her friend Tombo in trouble. She tries her best to save him, and in the end, we see all the people of the European seaside village cheering for Kiki. This scene was amazing to watch, it felt like Kiki has finally made her dream come true, I felt the happiness in my heart for her.

   Undoubtedly all Studio Ghibli films are great stories, entertaining, with a good development and message in their characters, along with its peculiar and unmistakable aesthetic that now after so many years causes us a great nostalgia, at a time when Studio Ghibli is in the mouth of everyone thanks to the fashion of creating your own images with that style thanks to the AI, I wanted to see some of their classic movies that I have not seen yet and this time I decided to watch Majo no Takkyuubin also known as Kiki`s Delivery Service, an interesting story about a little witch who undertakes the journey and adventure necessary to become a complete witch.

   

   

   

   Majo no Takkyuubin presents the story of Kiki, a young witch of 13 years old where at this age it is customary for all witches to leave home and venture a year living alone in some unknown town as a test to start their lives as witches, Kiki after knowing that there was going to be a clear moon night decides to start her adventure and go in search of a town where to live and prosper a year away from her family thanks to her witch skills, for this adventure she says goodbye to her parents and acquaintances and simply leaves with her broom and Jiji her little black cat.

   

   Although it seemed that the story was based on a more medieval or ancient time, Kiki ends up arriving to a large coastal city full of many people, vehicles and apparently no witch despite being a very large town, it is curious that although the technology is not completely modern if there are vehicles such as cars, trains and even airships, a society like the beginning of last century, and yet although they are not used to the witches if they know of their existence and are pleasantly surprised with Kiki although others simply see it as something of the past without much importance.

   

   After an accidental arrival to the town and having a moment of frustration Kiki discovers that one of her main qualities as a witch is to be able to fly with her broom and with this she decides to open a delivery business in order to make a living in the town, although she seems to have her doubts, Kiki with the support of Osono a local baker makes the decision to stay and thanks to a change of attitude everything seems to be improving with her goal of living alone in the new town. Kiki's personality manages to empathize a lot with the viewer and at the same time seems very mature for her age, she turns out to be hardworking, kind and concerned about doing things right and besides fulfilling her tasks, she also likes to feel that she gave a fair treatment to people no matter the situation, although she also has moments where she acts more like a 13 year old girl and gets carried away by her emotions.

   

   

   

   Although Kiki is an attentive girl with a good attitude with almost everyone, from the beginning she has a cold and somewhat arrogant attitude with Tombo, a boy who loves aviation and who since Kiki's arrival has been fascinated with her witch abilities, especially the ability to fly with the broom, But thanks to Kiki's incident when she arrived in the city and Tombo's outgoing personality, Kiki simply ignores him and even seems a little annoyed every time he tries to approach her, but little by little she changes her attitude when she sees Tombo's kind and sincere way of being. Throughout the story we see how Kiki gradually realizes that she is not acting in the best way and changes her attitude.

   

   An interesting and profound aspect in the story is how we are shown that the magical ability of the witches is directly related to their feelings and self-confidence, for this reason when Kiki loses her confidence and realizes that she is acting badly with Tombo, she ends up losing her ability to fly on a broom and even loses the ability to understand Jiji her partner who now perceives him as a simple cat. This causes her to lose even more confidence in herself almost to the point of giving up, but little by little it is shown how you should always keep calm and trust in yourself and even if the situations look complicated you must trust that you will be able to get ahead, so at the most important moment Kiki faces her fears and shows that with the necessary help you can overcome any obstacle. Majo no Takkyuubin besides being an entertaining story also presents a very interesting approach to self-confidence.

   Sin dudas que todas las películas del Estudio Ghibli son grandes historias, entretenidas, con un buen desarrollo y mensaje en sus personajes, junto a esto con su estética tan peculiar e inconfundible que ahora luego de tantos años nos causa una gran nostalgia, en un momento en donde el Studio Ghibli está en la boca de todos gracias a la moda de crear imágenes tuyas con ese estilo gracias a la IA, quise ver alguna de sus películas clásicas que aún no haya visto y en esta ocasión decidí ver Majo no Takkyuubin también conocida Kiki`s Delivery Service, una historia interesante sobre una pequeña bruja que emprende el viaje y la aventura necesaria para volverse una bruja completa.

   

   

   

   Majo no Takkyuubin nos presenta la historia de Kiki, una joven bruja de 13 años en donde en esta edad es costumbre para toda las brujas dejar su casa y aventurarse un año viviendo solas en algún pueblo desconocido como prueba para comenzar su vida de brujas, Kiki luego de saber que iba haber una noche de luna despejada decide comenzar su aventura y salir en búsqueda de un pueblo donde vivir y prosperar un año lejos de su familia gracias a sus habilidades de bruja, para esta aventura se despide de sus padres y conocidos y simplemente parte junto a su escoba y a Jiji su pequeño gato negro.

   

   Aunque parecía que la historia estaba basada en una época mas medieval o antigua, Kiki termina llegando hasta una gran ciudad costera repleta de muchas personas, vehículos y al parecer ninguna bruja a pesar de ser un pueblo muy grande, es curioso que la tecnología aunque no sea completamente moderna si existan vehículos como carros, trenes y hasta dirigibles, una sociedad como de inicios del siglo pasado, y aun así aunque no están acostumbrados a las brujas si conocen de sus existencia y se notan gratamente sorprendidos con Kiki aunque otro simplemente la ven como algo del pasado sin mucha importancia.

   

   Luego de una accidentada llegada al pueblo y tener un momento de frustración Kiki descubre que una de sus principales cualidades como bruja es el poder volar con su escoba y con esto decide abrir un negocio de entregas áreas para poder ganarse la vida en el pueblo, aunque parece tener sus dudas, Kiki con el apoyo de Osono una panadera local toma la decisión de quedarse y gracias a un cambio de aptitud todo parece ir mejorando con su objetivo de vivir sola en el nuevo pueblo. La personalidad de Kiki consigue empatizar mucho con el espectar y al mismo tiempo parece muy madura para su edad, resulta ser trabajadora, amable y preocupada por hacer las cosas bien y además de cumplir con sus encomiendas, también le gusta sentir que dio un trato justo a las personas sin importas la situación, aunque también tiene momentos en donde actúa mas acorde a una niña de 13 años y se deja llevar por sus emociones.

   

   

   

   A pesar de que Kiki es una niña atenta y con una buena actitud con casi todo el mundo, desde el principio tiene una actitud un poco fría y algo arrogante con Tombo, un niño amante de la aviación y que desde la llegada de Kiki quedo fascinado con sus habilidades de bruja en especial el poder volar con la escoba, pero gracia al incidente de Kiki al llegar a la ciudad y la personalidad tan extrovertida de Tombo, Kiki simplemente lo ignora y hasta parece un poco molesta cada vez que el trata de acercarse, pero poco a poco va cambian su actitud al ver la forma de ser tan amable y sincera de Tombo. A lo largo de la historia vemos como Kiki poco a poco va percibiendo que no esta actuando de la mejor manera y va cambiando su actitud.

   

   Un aspecto interesante y profundo en la historia es como se nos muestra que la habilidad mágica de las brujas está directamente relacionada con sus sentimientos y confianza propia, por este motivo cuando Kiki pierde su confianza y se da cuenta que esta actuando mal con Tombo, termina perdiendo su capacidad de volar en escoba y hasta incluso pierde la capacidad de poder entender a Jiji su compañero el cual ahora lo percibe como un simple gato. Esto provoca que pierda aún más la confianza en si mima llegando casi al punto de darse por vencida, pero poco a poco se muestra como siempre se debe mantener la calma y la confianza en ti mismo y aunque las situaciones se vean complicadas debes confiar en que serás capaz de salir adelante, por ello en el momento más importante Kiki enfrenta sus temores y demuestra que con la ayuda necesaria puedes superar cualquier obstáculo. Majo no Takkyuubin además de ser una historia entretenida también presenta un enfoque de confianza propia muy interesante.

   Continuing with my walk through the films of Japan's most famous animation studio (Ghibli) today it was the turn of Majo no Takkyūbin or as it is known in Spanish “Kiki, entregas a domiciolio” and Kiki's Delivery Service in English, a film with many nuances and a depth that may not be perceived at first glance, but once you detect it remains in your subconscious, pulling out a sigh of nostalgia. I am definitely enjoying watching all these movies but without further ado let's start with this review.

   Siguiendo con mi paseo por las películas del estudio de animación más famoso de Japón (Ghibli) hoy le tocó el turno a Majo no Takkyūbin o como se conoce en español "Kiki, entregas a domiciolio" y Kiki's Delivery Service en inglés, una película con muchos matices y una profundidad que tal ve no se percibe a simple vista, pero una vez que la detectas permanece en tu subconsciente, arrancándote un suspiro de nostalgia. Definitivamente estoy disfrutando mucho ver todas estas películas pero sin más dilación comencemos con esta review.

   Kiki is a thirteen year old witch who, as tradition dictates, must leave home to start a life on her own. Despite her insecurities that her only skill is flying a broomstick, Kiki sets out on her journey accompanied by her beloved cat Jiji. Arriving in a huge city, she initially feels a bit overwhelmed, but then realizes that her unique skill is the perfect key to start her own business “home delivery service”. But along the way Kiki will learn valuable lessons that will serve her for life.

   Kiki es una bruja de trece años, la cual, tal como manda la tradición, debe abandonar su hogar para iniciar una vida por su cuenta, a pesar de sus inseguridades respecto a que su única habilidad es la de volar en escoba, Kiki emprende su camino en compañía de su amado gato Jiji. Al llegar a una enorme ciudad, ella al inicio se siente un tanto abrumada, pero luego se da cuenta de que su única habilidad es la clave perfecta para iniciar su propia empresa "servicio de entregas a domicilio" Pero en el camino Kiki aprenderá valiosas lecciones que le servirán para toda la vida.

   My Opinion/Mi Opinión

   It is one of the most beautiful films of the studio, it is based on the book of the same name by Eiko Kadono, and as you may have noticed (those who saw it) it has no villains, since the protagonist must face the challenges of life itself, it is a film about maturity and responsibility, in which Kiki goes through a path that will lead her to understand things that she didn't before. Getting out of her comfort zone and what she is used to, obviously makes her question her “lack of skills” beyond just knowing how to fly, but she will soon realize that she can be very useful. She is discovering, as we all do on our way to becoming adults, that she must manage her money and her time, and at the same time something very important happens, she discovers that not everything is what it seems, on the one hand she tries to avoid Tombo thinking he is a little ruffian just because he likes to hang around with his friends aboard a car, but soon she realizes that he is quite the opposite, he is a productive and creative boy, so much so that he has even been working on a prototype of a flying machine from a propeller and a bicycle, while the granddaughter of the Madamme, is a spoiled girl who dismisses the work that her grandmother invests in baking cakes for her, she does not recognize or value the effort and this saddens Kiki a lot.

   Es una de las películas más bellas del estudio, está basada en el libro homónimo de Eiko Kadono, y tal como se pudieron dar cuenta (los que la vieron) no tiene villanos, ya que la protagonista deberá enfrentarse a desafíos propios de la vida misma, es una película sobre madurez y responsabilidad, en la cuál Kiki transita por un camino que la llevará a entender cosas que antes no. El salir de su zona de confort y a lo que está acostumbrada, obviamente hace que se cuestione sobre su "Falta de habilidades" más allá de solo saber volar, pero pronto se dará cuenta de que puede llegar a ser muy útil. Ella va descubriendo, como lo hacemos todos en nuestro camino a convertirnos en adultos, que debe administrar su dinero y su tiempo, y al mismo tiempo pasa algo muy importante, ella descubre que no todo es lo que parece, por un lado intenta evitar a Tombo pensando que es un pequeño rufián solo porque le gusta andar por ahí con sus amigos a bordo de un auto, pero pronto se da cuenta de que es todo lo contrario, es un chico productivo y creativo, tanto que hasta estuvo trabajando en un prototipo de un artefacto volador partiendo de una hélice y una bicicleta, mientras que la nieta de la Madamme, es una chica malcriada que desestima el trabajo que su abuela invierte en hornear pasteles para ella, no reconoce ni valora el esfuerzo y esto entristece mucho a Kiki.

   Por otra parte tenemos un hecho bastante relevante y que es lo que nos causa a la mayoría) algo de tristeza, y es que llega un punto en el que Kiki pierde sus poderes, tanto su capacidad para volar como la de hablar con Jiji, su gato, quien hasta ese momento había sido su consejero y mejor amigo, pero a pesar de que al final ella recupera su magia, nunca más pudo ser capaz e hablar con Jiji, lo que sucede es que Jiji, al igual que Headwig, la mascota de Harry Potter, representa la niñez de Kiki, esa desconexión con la realidad que todos tenemos a esa edad, la independencia, las responsabilidades y los desafíos propios del día a día hacen que poco a poco dejemos atrás a ese niño interior, la ingenuidad y la fantasía, Jiji por su parte también encuentra su propio camino al formar una familia, además, con quien menos imaginó.

   Greetings to everyone in The Anime Realm community. Today I'm joining today to share with you a new Japanese animated movie review. This time we will be talking about "Kiki: Home Delivery", produced by Studio Ghibli and directed by Hayao Miyazaki in 1989. As it is well known, Studio Ghibli is one of the most famous and prestigious Japanese animation production houses worldwide, thanks to its great productions such as: Spirited Away, Princess Mononoke, Ponyo, My Neighbor Totoro and more. That is why it will always be a good idea to review the filmography of this director. Such is the case of Kiki. So let's start with it.

   Saludos a todos en la comunidad de The Anime Realm. El día de hoy me uno por aquí para compartir con ustedes una nueva reseña de película japonesa animada. En esta oportunidad estaremos hablando de, "Kiki: Entregas a domicilio", producida por Studio Ghibli y dirigida por Hayao Miyazaki en el año 1989. Cómo es bien sabido, Studio Ghibli es una de las casas productoras de animación japonesa más famosas y con mayor prestigio a nivel mundial, gracias a sus grandes producciones tales cómo: El Viaje de Chihiro, La Princesa Mononoke, Ponyo, Mi Vecino Totoro y otros más. Es por eso que siempre será un acierto revisar la filmografía de este director. Tal es el caso de Kiki. Así que comencemos con ello.

   Majo no Takkyūbin (as the film is originally titled), tells the story of young Kiki, a 12-year-old girl who lives in a rural area with her parents in a world where magic and witches are normal. They are part of everyday life. Kiki comes from a family of witches where it is a tradition for girls to leave home on their 13th birthday to prove themselves as witches abroad. On her birthday, Kiki embarks on this adventure with her faithful companion Jiji, her cat. Soon Kiki finds a city that is to her liking, but where people are not so familiar with witches. It is a more modern place and witches are not as common as in her hometown. However, Kiki has a great charisma and makes friends with a family of bakers who give her a place in their house and she starts working there, making home deliveries (thanks to her good magic broom). The point is that at a certain point in her routine, Kiki begins to lose her powers and must find a way to get them back. Besides consolidating herself as a real witch.

Forman parte de la vida diaria. Kiki viene de una familia de brujas dónde es tradición que las niñas al cumplir 13 años de edad partan de casa para probarse cómo brujas en el exterior. Es así cómo el día de su cumpleaños Kiki se embarca en dicha aventura junto a su fiel compañero Jiji, su gato. Pronto Kiki encuentra una ciudad que es de su gusto llamada "Koriko", pero dónde las personas no están tan familiarizadas con las brujas. Es un lugar más moderno y las brujas no son tan usuales cómo en su pueblo. Empero, Kiki tiene un gran carisma y hace amistad con una familia de panaderos que le dan un lugar en su casa y comienza a trabajar allí, haciendo entregas a domicilio (gracias a su buena escoba mágica). La cuestión está en que en un punto dado de su rutina, Kiki comienza a perder sus poderes y deberá encontrar la manera de obtenerlos. Además de consolidarse cómo una verdadera bruja.

   The film is beautiful for several reasons. One of them is how it uses the theme of magic to deal with other complex issues such as the development from childhood to adulthood. Especially in girls. Kiki's journey forces her to face several situations on her own and although she is a very confident, optimistic and energetic child, those qualities are not enough to cope with her reality.    La película resulta muy bella por varios motivos. Uno de ellos es cómo se utiliza el tema de la magia para tratar otros temas complejos cómo el desarrollo de la infancia a la adultez. Especialmente en las niñas. El viaje de Kiki la obliga a enfrentarse a varias situaciones por su propia cuenta y aunque ella es una niña muy confiada, optimista y enérgica, esas cualidades no bastan para poder hacer frente a su realidad. Debe crear nuevas herramientas, competencias y actitudes para también adaptarse a esa modernidad. El ir perdiendo sus poderes, cómo no poder hablar más con Jiji (su gato) y no poder montar su escoba, puede representar la perdida de la niñez. Cómo cuando uno ya no disfruta de los mismos dulces, juegos y travesuras. Esa magia de la niñez. Sin embargo, no todo está perdido pues la llegada de la adultez también trae cosas muy bellas. Kiki deberá atender a todo esto y conseguir su lugar en el mundo. Finalmente, la película es una buena recomendación para ver en familia: buena animación, música, guión y demás.    Hello, Sketchbook friends! 🔮🧹

   Several days ago I told you that I had watched some Studio Ghibli movies with my boyfriend, and I shared with you the drawing of Totoro. Well, I also saw Kiki's Delivery Service. A 13-year-old witch who, according to tradition, has to leave her home and find a place where she can live alone for at least a year to be considered a real witch.

   I liked it so much that I wanted to draw Kiki and Tombo. Tombo is a very cool and thoughtful boy.

   At first I thought I couldn't do this drawing because it had too many details, as you know, I'm still learning. But I decided to dare and make it as simplified as possible.

   I think it turned out better than I expected. Although, of course, it has its details. For example, Kiki's eyes were deformed 😅 next time I'll do it much better.

   Hace varios días les comenté que había visto algunas películas del Studio Ghibli con mi novio, y les compartí el dibujo de Totoro. Pues, también vi Kiki's Delivery Service. Una brujita de 13 años que como indica la tradición, debe irse de su hogar y encontrar un lugar en donde pueda vivir sola por al menos un año para ser considerada una verdadera bruja.

   A mi me gustó tanto que quise dibujar a Kiki y a Tombo. Tombo es un niño muy genial y atento.

   Al principio pensé que no podría hacer este dibujo porque tenía muchos detalles, como bien saben, aún estoy aprendiendo. Pero decidí atreverme y hacerlo lo más simplificado posible.

   Creo que que me quedó mejor de lo que esperé. Aunque, claro, tiene sus detalles. Por ejemplo, los ojos de Kiki me quedaron deformes 😅 a la próxima lo haré mucho mejor.

   El día de hoy quiero contarles de otra de las películas del Studio Ghibli, sus películas me encantan no solo por la calidad de su animación y sin por la magia que tienen, pensar que película fue estrenada el mismo año que la Sirenita y la calidad de la animación es tan buena como la de Disney considerando que son empresas completamente diferentes.

   Kiki: entregas a domicilio es una historia de maduración y crecimiento, dónde vemos como una niña pequeña tiene que encontrar su camino en la vida a través de los pocos o muchos conocimientos que ha adquirido, en este caso sobre brujería. La historia nos cuenta que todas las brujas cuando llegan a la adolescencia tienen que dejar la seguridad de su hogar para irse volando por todo el país hasta encontrar una ciudad o pueblo que no tenga ya una bruja, y una vez asentadas en su nuevo hogar tienen que utilizar sus conocimientos en brujería para hacerse de una forma de vida, esto puede ser bastante fácil para una bruja con talento que aprendió a hacer posiciones para curar enfermedades entre otro tipo de habilidades. Básicamente es la historia de cualquier joven recién graduado que tiene que aplicar sus conocimientos para no morir de hambre.

   Kiki's: Delivery Service, is a story of maturation and growth, where we see how a little girl must find her way in life through the few or many knowledge she has acquired, in this case about witchcraft. History tells us that all witches when they reach adolescence have to leave the safety of their home to fly around the country until they find a city or town that does not already have a witch, and once settled in their new home they have To use your knowledge in witchcraft to make a living, this can be quite easy for a talented witch who learned to do positions to cure diseases among other skills.    Pero esta no es la situación de Kiki, nuestra protagonista parece que no tiene muchos talentos, pero eso no es una limitante para que ella desee a vivir su propia aventura, así que decide emprender vuelo para buscar suerte en otra ciudad, cargando con ella solo una vieja radio de su padre, una escoba voladora de su madre y su fiel compañero, un gatito negro llamado Jiji.

   But this is not Kiki's situation, our protagonist seems that she does not have many talents, but that is not a limitation for her to want to live her own adventure, so she decides to take flight to seek luck in another city, carrying her alone an old radio from his father, a flying broom from his mother, and his faithful companion, a black kitten named Jiji.

   En general es una película muy memorable, que te enseña que el trabajo duro siempre tiene sus recompensas, que no importa que tan lejos estés de casa siempre podrás hacer amigos si estás dispuesto a abrirte a los demás y que no importa que tan malo seas para algo si trabajas duro, te esfuerzas y prácticas podrás mejorar, y por último que, si tienes un talento, no lo regales 😉 hay que cobrar caro por lo que sabemos hacer.

   Overall it is a very memorable film, which teaches you that hard work always has its rewards, that no matter how far you are from home you can always make friends if you are willing to open up to others and that no matter how bad you are for Something if you work hard, make an effort and practice, you can improve, and finally, if you have a talent, don't give it away 😉 you have to charge dearly for what we know how to do.

    Plot

    In exchange for accommodation, Kiki helps Osono, the kindly and heavily pregnant owner of a bakery. She opens a "Witch Delivery Business", delivering goods by broomstick. Her first delivery goes badly; she is caught in wind and loses the black cat toy she is supposed to deliver. Jiji pretends to be the toy until Kiki can retrieve the real item. She finds it in the home of a young painter, Ursula, who repairs and returns it to Kiki so she can complete the delivery and rescue Jiji.
