  1. (ESP-ENG) Chainsaw Man | Reze Arc - Movie Review!@javyeslava.photo208d

    **

Hello friends, good vibes to all.

    **

Hola amigos, buenas vibras para todos.

    Source!

Of the most acclaimed films this year, Kimetsu no Yaiba has undoubtedly been one, for a number of reasons that were discussed at the time, but friends, this new Chainsaw Man installment from MAPPA is absolutely insane. Seeing its box office numbers, it was clear the film would be high quality, especially since the anime is one of the most beloved by everyone, but it's one thing to assume things and another to actually sit down and enjoy the movie. I'm not lying when I say it's been a while (excluding Kimetsu) since I've enjoyed action fight scenes like the ones in this film; MAPPA's animation really surprised me, and it's easily some of the best they've done in years.

First thing to mention, do you have to watch the first season to understand the movie? - It's not 100% necessary, but it would be helpful to have the necessary context for some of the events. This story begins right after the end of that season. We find Denji living with Aki and Power while they continue working as demon slayers. Denji is still in love with Makima; you know he has a weakness for women, so yes, he's still pursuing her. The thing is, another character enters the picture: Reze. She's a girl who works at a café and quickly shows a strong interest in Denji.

    Source!

That relationship genuinely strengthens, or at least that's what Denji thinks at first, which makes our protagonist lower his guard and feel something real for Reze. But as almost always happens when something seems too good or easy, it usually hides something, and in this case, the sweet girl from the café isn't who she claims to be. This is where a battle begins in which Denji will have to abandon what his heart feels to survive the deadliest confrontation he has ever faced. When people talk about Chainsaw Man, they associate it with demons, violence, gore, and blood, but never with love. Well, let me tell you something: this movie is a love story in which Denji will inevitably have to mature to deal with all the internal conflicts he's experiencing.

I think the most powerful aspect of the film is its visuals. I'm still amazed by what I saw. Almost the entire second half of the film is filled with battle after battle. While it's true they're against the same enemy, the sequences are quite long, making the experience incredibly high-quality. We know MAPPA's quality, but this is on another level. And it's not just the fight scenes that are impressive; the film also features several time-lapse sequences that are true gems. They're a technique that works very well to accelerate time or to show a character's thoughts. Here, they're used both to add emotion and excitement to the plot and to better understand the fights. The last 45 minutes of the film are breathtaking.

The plot itself is really cool because we first see the beginning of their relationship, watching Denji struggle with himself about what to do with Reze, which makes everything funny but not cheesy. I think Denji has grown a lot compared to the kid in the first season. And in the blink of an eye, everything goes from love, dates, and falling in love to chaos, death, and blood. It's a very marked duality, but one that never loses its connection because even while he's fighting, he's constantly thinking about her. But they're not the only ones who appear; we also see other hunters from the first season playing prominent roles. They all appear in just the right amount to contribute their bit and make the scenes even more brutal than they already are.

In conclusion, this is one of the best films to come out in recent times. The animation is a 10/10, the soundtrack is incredible, and the plot is fresh and emotional because the ending has some very interesting twists that I honestly didn't expect. It's a perfect blend of love and survival despite that love. For me, it's a 10/10. Highly recommended; I'll probably watch it again sometime. I've included the trailer below.

  2. Chainsaw Man | | Bloody, Brutal and Brilliant@kristabel123272d

I was scrolling through Instagram one day, when I saw an edit of Chainsaw Man. My first thought about it was "Why would I want to watch an anime about a boy who has a chainsaw for a head?". To me, it seemed absurd and somewhat funny, but I still downloaded and watched the series anyway.

If I'm being honest... I'm glad that I overlooked my initial thought of the anime and watch it instead. Even with all the gore, it was a very engaging and fun watch.

    MV5BZGY2ZTM2MWMtNzA2OS00ZjJlLWIwZTMtMDBhN2EwYjZjZjEyXkEyXkFqcGc@.V1_FMjpg_UX1000.jpg

The anime series follows the story of a boy - Denji. He is poor, in debts and living a miserable life. His only companion is a small chainsaw devil named Pochita. They hunt devils together and pay off what Denji's late father owed little by little. When Denji got betrayed and killed by the people worked for, Pochita sacrifices himself to save him. He merged his body with Denji's. That was how Denji becomes "Chainsaw Man" - a half-human and half-devil.

    MV5BM2E0ZmNmOTItNTczOC00ZWVkLWJiNDAtZGM5YTBlNWUyZWQ2XkEyXkFqcGc@.V1_QL75_UX776.jpg

Denji is then taken in by Makima, who recruits him into the Public Safety Devil Hunters. There, Denji meets Aki and Power.

I won't even lie, Denji and Power's chaotic duo is one of my favourite things in the anime. Their bond is the definition of beautiful madness. They fight, argue, make stupid jokes and someone brings out the most genuine sides of each other. Power's energy and action was so unpredictable and the way Denji dealed with her made me laugh a lot.

    MV5BZGM4ZDliYTItNDgxMi00MTE4LWIwMzYtZGRmZjJiOGFhYmU5XkEyXkFqcGc@.V1_QL75_UX804.jpg

I really liked that Denji wasn't the typical noble hero seen in many other series. He was, very simply, just a boy with simple dreams to live a comfortable life and enjoy good food. It is refreshing for my own personal enjoyment, to see a character whose goals is not about saving the world but about experiencing the basic things of life. There was something about his desperation for affection and normalcy, even while he's knee-deep in blood.

    MV5BYmVlY2M1MWUtOTNiNC00MGIxLTg2NTktODlhMTM3Y2ZkOGQ1XkEyXkFqcGc@.V1_QL75_UX776.jpg

Then Aki, the calm and serious one, who acts like he's above Denji and Power's nonsense but deep down, he truly cares. The three of them formed this strange family. And then Himeno. Her death was one of the hardest scene for me to watch. I liked her from the start. The way she went out sacrificing herself for Aki, actually broke my heart.

    MV5BOGI3MjVhZDMtMDJhYS00M2Y5LTkyNGYtNGUyMTg2ZWU3NWM0XkEyXkFqcGc@.V1_QL75_UX776.jpg

MAPPA's animation was top-tier as always. The fights were brutal and fluid, especially the final one - Katana vs Chainsaw. That last battle had me glued to the screen. I actually watched that particular scene twice. It was actually very personal. Denji's twisted sense of justice in the end? Let's just say it was perfectly Denji.

The music deserves its own praise too. Every episode had it's own theme at the ending and each one fit the mood so well. That was actually one of the things that made this anime different from the others that I have watched before.

    MV5BYjg3MGFkNDMtOGU2Yi00YTYxLWJhYWUtYmU5OWVjMDIwOWExXkEyXkFqcGc@.V1_QL75_UX768.jpg

For me, Chainsaw Man, is a 9 out of 10. I thought it would be just another bloody horror anime when I started it. But it was actually more than that - it made me laugh, shocked me and was enjoyable to me all at once.

  3. Chainsaw Man: The Hype is Real 【 🇪🇸 - 🇺🇸 】@pannavi291d

Saludos estimados Otakus de #TheAnimeRealm. Ayer me picó la curiosidad y decidí ver Chainsaw Man.

Greetings, dear Otakus of #TheAnimeRealm. Yesterday I got curious and decided to watch Chainsaw Man. I must be honest, the series wasn't what I had expected. It's totally crazy, but what do you think? I loved it and now it's among my favorites. I'm here to share my thoughts on it without giving away any spoilers.

    ![sepmin.png](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/pannavi/23tbRfkrpvd8THgJwEU8ZrY9pFP7TwotCERSYbD7D26AjZkjgHnYRyShpuL2decZwNLtK.png)

    **𝔼𝕟𝕘𝕝𝕚𝕤𝕙**

    ![sepmin.png](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/pannavi/23tbRfkrpvd8THgJwEU8ZrY9pFP7TwotCERSYbD7D26AjZkjgHnYRyShpuL2decZwNLtK.png)

The series started quite pessimistic, dark, and bloody. Also, when I started watching it, I had doubts about whether to continue watching it at one point because I couldn't stand how incoherent it was. Seeing the main character with chainsaws everywhere seemed quite disturbing, illogical, and even ridiculous to me.

    1.png

But one thing remained constant with the main character. I don't know what really hooked me about the series, Denji's honesty or his pathetic dream of continuing to live, yearning for a better quality of life.

    2.png

The truth is, Denji is unique. Because of him, I continued watching all 12 episodes, and after finishing the first season, I admit I don't regret watching it at all. In fact, I consider it one of the best series I've ever seen, for its plot, its characters, and, above all, for the visual designs, with which Mappa pulled out all the stops.

    13.png

This is one of those series that, at some point, you can't stop watching until it's over. The story takes an unexpected turn at some point that makes you wonder: What happened here? What's this? What's next?

    3.png

Questions you'll only answer if you continue watching the series. But one thing you should know is that the series is highly violent, gory, and grotesque. For me, it was a bit too risqué in several ways because it also includes sexual themes, so it's not a series for everyone.

    11.png

Another thing worth highlighting is that to fully enjoy the series, I think it would be best to watch it in your native language. In my case, it's Spanish, so the translation they gave, including words and insults dubbed into Latin American Spanish, was an unexpectedly nice extra touch for me.

    9.png

Y no me malentiendan.

And don't get me wrong. I love watching anime series in their original language, but after watching Dandadan (the first season in Japanese) and the second season in Latin American Spanish, I'm definitely sticking with the Latin American version. These kinds of series, heavily worded with colloquial phrases or insults typical of certain places, are only enjoyable in one's native language, because something funny happens afterward, and it doesn't feel as funny as it does when you watch it in Japanese with subtitles.

    8.png

So I won't make that mistake twice. Anyway, back to the plot itself, Chainsaw Man is a series full of mystery, suspense, and a lot of visual dynamism. Both the characters and the plot reminded me a bit of the style of Jujutsu Kaisen, another of my big favorites.

    6.png

However, like any other series, the story starts on a very illogical note, strange things happen, and not much is explained until after the second episode or so. So if you watch it, you'll probably doubt you'll want to keep watching for the first four episodes.

    12.png

At least, that's what happened to me, but Danji intrigued me so much with his pathetic life that I had a moral clash with him. I mean, like him, I've hit rock bottom. I know what it's like to have nothing to offer the world, but despite all that, he clings to a stupid dream to keep living. And for that matter, why is his dream so stupid? Why is it so easy to achieve?

    4.png

Maybe many aspire to do great things in their lives, but in my case, I completely understand Denji, and at the end of the first season, you can see his strengths amidst all the madness, which makes you love him a little more. For my part, I'm eagerly awaiting his movie. So if you dare to watch something different and risqué, I highly recommend it. I give it all five stars.

  4. Anime Review: Chainsaw Man@seunruth303d

Chainsaw Man hit me in a way I didn’t expect. You know how most shonen shows give you that clean-cut hero with this big noble dream? Denji isn’t that. His dream is as raw and human as it gets—he just wants the basics: food, shelter, maybe a touch of affection. It’s so messy and almost pathetic on the surface, but that’s exactly why it gets under your skin. Because haven’t we all, at some point, wanted something so simple it almost feels embarrassing to admit out loud? That part of Denji stuck to me like gum on the sole of a shoe.

And then there is this gut-punch beat the show goes through--one minute you are laughing at Denji being an utter fool, the next minute the show cuts to something so bleak and sorrowful that you feel like your stomach has just dropped. That scene with [spoiler redacted unless you desire not to be spoiled]--I tell you I sat there and watched the screen silent after it was over--not simply because it was a shock, but because it was grief--and you could almost hear the silence in the room after. MAPPA did not pull any punches and you can question yourself why you ever believed that this would be another cool action anime.

But it’s not all bleak. Power—god, Power cracked me up. She is an anarchy with a human face, though also one of the few who provides Denji with something approaching a real relationship. I laughed outright at them because they were ridiculous in their sibling-like bickering. Even these little bits, such as a fight over food or making dumb promises, struck me more than even some of the bloody fight scenes because it was, after all, human. Dishevelled, noisy and oddly gentle.

Even the chainsaws or the gore, what lingers with me more is how the anime puts you in this predicament as you watch it: what does it take to live not to survive? Denji does not speak eloquently of it, he is not a philosopher, but you can feel that desire to live that hunger in him in every decision he makes, every offer he accepts. And it returns that question to yourself.

What I remember most is not even the chainsaws or the gore, it is how the anime makes you sit and ask yourself this question: what does it mean to really live, not just to survive? Denji is not eloquent about it, he is no philosopher and you feel that he has that hunger to live in all his decisions, all his deals. And it has you turn the same question on yourself.

Chainsaw Man was not a clean or comfortable movie to watch, it was jagged, funny, depressing, thrilling, and sometimes all of that at the same time in ten minutes. It was more like viewing an anime than like banging your head against the skull of a child who is desperately trying to find some bits of happiness in a cruel world. And that is why I will never get it out of my head.

  5. THOUGHTS ON CHAINSAW MAN@mikeart343d

Chainsaw Man has to be one of the wildest anime I’ve ever seen. It’s bloody, chaotic, darkly funny and somehow, it still manages to hit you in the heart. But the character that really pulled me in is Denji. He’s not your typical hero. He doesn’t fight for justice. He fights to eat good food, touch boobs, and have a roof over his head. He’s brutally honest about what he wants, and in a world full of lies and monsters, that kind of raw, shameless humanity stands out. Denji is messed up, but real and that’s what makes him powerful. The first drawing I made was a rough, inky black-and-white sketch raw, jagged, full of movement. I wanted it to reflect Denji’s unstable, explosive energy. That moment when he transforms into Chainsaw Man, it’s not polished or heroic it’s desperate, chaotic, like he’s tearing his way through life just to survive. Then I created the second version with glowing chainsaws, orange lighting, and a supernatural vibe. That glow represents the hellfire Denji walks through every day. It’s not just about cool effects; it’s about how this kid lights up a dark world with nothing but rage, pain, and that little spark of hope that keeps him going. Both versions show different sides of the same character. One is raw and grounded. The other is fiery and otherworldly. That’s what Chainsaw Man is to me gritty reality clashing with insane fantasy. And Denji? He’s the heart of that madness. Hope y’all like it. Please you can give an up-vote to support and if you want to see more of this💪.

  6. Anime Review ~ Chainsaw Man ~ Liberation in Blood.@naturaluttom401d

‎Hello friends, I hope you are all well and having a great time. Once again I present to you a great anime Chainsaw Man – a supernatural, psychological thriller, I hope you will like it very much. ‎

    (Story Summary)

‎At the beginning of the story, we see the character Denji, a poor teenager, who is forced to work as a Devil Hunter to pay off his dead father's debt. His only friend was Pochita, a small devil with a head like a chainsaw machine. Unfortunately, it has to be said that Denji was betrayed and killed at some point. Here Pochita sacrificed her life to merge with Denji, turning him into Chainsaw Man. Another scary thing here is that I saw a half-human with chainsaws coming out of his head and hands. After seeing this, I was very scared. After that, Denji joined the government Devil Hunter unit, where he faced various types of terrible devils, powerful comrades. ‎

‎Denji had a dream woman named Makima, but she was not the one he loved at all. She was a devil who wanted to control people, even Chainsaw Man. Makima actually wanted to use the devil, because Chainsaw Man had defeated many powerful devils in the past. Makima believed that he would use this power to protect the good of mankind and maintain order, but in reality he was terribly selfish and cruel. But the devil never completely dies. After a while, the control devil was reincarnated in the body of a little girl named Nayuta. Denji, wanting to live like a normal person, sees Nayuta as an older brother, and starts life with a new responsibility. ‎ ‎

    (My Review)

‎I usually watch anime in the action or horror genre very selectively. But ‘Chainsaw Man’ really moved me not only for the blood and fighting, but also for its characters, philosophy, and depth of sadness. Yes, there is bloodshed. Fighting with Chainsaws' machines, the screams of demons, and monstrous enemies. But underneath it all is Denji's loneliness, his childhood deprivation, and a few dreams like eating good food, hugging someone, surviving as a human. I was surprised to notice that Denji's little dreams raise many of the big questions in our own lives.

At first I liked him. Elegant, mysterious, sensitive, I was just as fascinated as Denji. But as I progressed, I realized that he was a terrible symbol of control in the name of love. The way Denji ate Makima in the end was symbolic revenge. Love destroyed him, and he consumed that love. This scene will remain in my heart for a long time. In the end, the character of Nayuta becomes a ray of hope. Denji's new responsibility, his new humanity, proves that he is not just Chainsaws' devil, but also a human being. It's like a message to all of us that the future can always be written by our own hands. ‎

‎After watching this anime, I had a heavy burden on my mind for a while. Some character deaths, some broken dreams all in all I wouldn't call it just entertainment . It's messy difficult yet beautiful like life. ‎

  7. Chainsaw Man: Denji's Wild Ride - Review@zoe01404d

    Chainsaw Man

    credits

    Spoilers Ahead!

Today I'll be reviewing an awesome anime, but it's not that impressive because of some ecchi moments. I will explain my thoughts about it in my post. There are many reasons for me to make this comment, so you have to read my post to understand. Anyway, the name of the anime is Chainsaw Man. This is a popular anime, and I hope anime lovers have watched it. If not, then you can gain some knowledge from my post. This anime was released in 2022, and it's now 2025. I'm watching it years later. The reason I didn't watch it back then was that it was very hyped, and I try to avoid things that are overhyped; I don't know why. However, after years, I finally decided to watch it, and I'm not completely satisfied or dissatisfied—I'm somewhere in the middle, you could say.

The trailer looked amazing, as I like to see unique types of concepts, so I thought I might like it. The voice I heard in the trailer truly slayed; I got goosebumps within a few seconds. I saw a few dialogues, which made me guess that the theme is about fighting devils, as they are devil hunters. It's about protecting humankind from these devils, so I liked the concept. Also, the movements in the fighting scenes looked great, the animation looks cool to me, and the music rocks. There was a lot of bloodshed, and the trailer looked cool to me, making me want to watch the anime instantly.

    credits

The story begins with a guy and his monster pet. He has no one and only works for others as a devil hunter. He finishes off the devils with the help of his pet. The guy's name is Denji, and the pet's name is Pochita. The pet cannot talk, but he communicates with his pet all day; they seem to have a great bond. One day, he was hired to eliminate a monster and got tricked. That monster was huge, and he could barely survive; he got caught. He was brutally killed, but his monster pet saved his life, although Pochita vanished. We get to see a past life of Pochita, where Denji and he grew up together and how Denji helped him survive and took care of him. So, the pet decided to give up his life and instead wanted Denji to fulfill his dreams, as devils have to make a deal in exchange for something. Denji regained his senses but was devastated by not being able to find Pochita. Lateral, we see that he pulls the string on his chest, and his head transforms, activating his chainsaw-like hybrid form, and he kills the huge monster, taking revenge for Pochita. In the end, he was discovered by Maki. The story follows that Maki will take care of Denji's needs, and in return, he has to work as a hunter under their company. Denji is happy, as he never had anyone around, and now he can have a proper portion of food. He dreams of having Maki as his lover.

    credits

As the story progresses, we see that he is very fond of sexual things, and many other things on his wishlist. He feels motivated to fight because of this wishlist; otherwise, he does not have any other reason to fight the monsters. Anyway, He is seen fighting the monsters, but he is not always overpowered; sometimes he is. Also, he meets many people on his journey, Maki forms a team for him, and he works with them.

    credits

To be honest, I really liked the fighting scenes. Sometimes I felt Denji was overhyped, but not always; it would be no fun if we kept seeing him winning without losing, as it's very common to see the protagonist win. In this anime, every character is given screen time, and there are some awesome characters. The only thing I didn't like is that Denji is not a character that I would look up to. Yes, he is crazy good at fighting, but I don't like his personality at all; he only thinks of sexual things all the time, and his main goal is hilarious to me. Seriously, why is the character so annoying? I found him very annoying, and I really don't like this type of character as the main protagonist at all; actually, it's my personal opinion. They could have chosen a better concept to make it unique; to make it unique doesn't mean you make someone with zero personality. It was funny, though, to see him say things like that, but honestly, I didn't enjoy these scenes at all. What kept me watching this anime was the fighting scenes and the other characters; I liked all the other characters. I just wanted to avoid all of the ecchi moments. Well, I would like to see Denji's character improvement. Of course I liked the animation the most, for that reason they should be admired.

IMG_20241203_191945.jpg In 2022 I drew chainsaw man for an art competition I didn't win but I was in the top 3 I'm still glad about that but that was over 3 years ago and I've gotten better since then so I decided to draw the cover of chainsaw man chapters 1 an I like it . For this artwork I used a calligraphy pen and permanent marker for the inking process

Lo que mas me gusto / What I liked the most

Denji isn't your classic noble or vengeful hero; he's a simple boy with basic dreams: eating well, sleeping in a comfortable bed, and touching a few... things. His way of thinking is ridiculously realistic and honest, making him a refreshing and entertaining protagonist.

Each character has a unique personality and an intriguing backstory. Makima is manipulative and mysterious, Aki is typically cold but with a deep emotional backstory, and Power is chaotic, selfish, and funny. Together they form a dysfunctional but incredibly entertaining team.

Although it starts off lighthearted, the plot quickly turns dark and profound. It's not all blood and action: Chainsaw Man has moments of reflection, loss, and despair, where the characters suffer, grow, and change.

Lo que no me gustó - What I didn't like

Some episodes have a slower pace, which may frustrate those expecting nonstop action. However, these moments help build the atmosphere and the characters.

If you don't like extreme violence, absurd humor, or protagonists lacking heroic ideals, this anime may not be for you. Its tone doesn't follow the typical shonen rules, which may surprise or turn off some viewers.

  10. Action Comedy Fantasy~ Chainsaw Man- Review@infinitejourney545d

Hello everyone today I want to share with you my opinion and review of a well known famous anime series I think most people have seen the name of anime ChainsawMan. It is a very popular anime these days. So, going to give full review of this anime.

    Summery

When Denji's father dies, Denji is burdened with a huge debt owed by his father. The burden of this debt was so great that Denji could not repay it in his lifetime. Denji saved a demon dog named Pochita who became his good friend and eventually a battle Pochita merged with Denzi.

    Story

We start with the childhood of Chainsaw Man character Denji, where he is a child and he is fighting to save his life. When Denji was young, his father was drunkenly aggressive. Denji killed his father for some reason. The yakuza called the incident a suicide. But Denji's father had many debts which meant that Denji would inherit his father's debt. But Denji's father was in so much debt that no one in his kingdom had the power to repay the debt. Although Denji was only young. Denji fought small monsters every day. He was small so he couldn't fight big monsters so he fought small monsters and killed them and he was paid some money to do it. However, the chained devil was fighting the four horsemen of hell at that time. Pochita could not fight the horsemen as he was losing. So he went towards the human world to hide in his weakened state. This is where he meets Denji. Denji became very good friends with him. The two of them defeat a very powerful monster together and the money they get for doing this is not enough to pay off the debt they owe. Denji spends his teenage years dreaming with Pochita, fantasizing about simple things like eating bread with jam, going to school, and having a girlfriend.

Denji had so much debt that the Yakuza knew he would never be able to repay the debt, which is why he chose to betray him. They sent Denji on a mission to defeat a demon and Denji was accompanied by a hostage devil. Denji was unable to fight the demon. Finally, the demon killed Denji, and Pochita was not in a good condition. He was in a very bad state. Pochita gives Denji a new life. He fuses with Denji instead of letting him die. Denji's heart was turned into a chainsaw hybrid. Pochita allowed him to use his powers.

After Denji transforms into Chainsaw Man and defeats all the monsters, Denji is quickly found by the public security and the most notable person in this anime is Makima. He offers to bring Denji to Tokyo and hire him as a member of public security. Denji is then assigned to Public Safety Division 4 and sent on a trial mission with Aki Hayakawa. In the first stage, both of them could not fight properly. Makima then orders Aki to let Denji stay in her house. Allowing Denji to fulfill his dreams of eating good food, showering regularly, and hanging out with Makima.

A popular character name in this anime is Power the Blood Fiend. He also has the same powers as Denji, and spent most of his life with a demon, a cat named Meowee. He spent most of his time with him. When a demon kidnapped the cat, Power went to Denji for help. Denji was making a condition to Power. Confused about how to get Denji to help him, Manley agrees, and Denji helps him rescue his cat from the Bat Devil.

However, but it was a ruse to get it, he hands Denji over to the Bad-Devil. He knocks out Denji but the devil quickly learns that Denji is not human and eats Miwi and Power as punishment for bringing him bad-tasting blood. Denji single-handedly defeats the Bat Devil and saves Power and Meowee from the Bad Devil. Eventually, the rest of Public Safety Division 4 arrived to help. Aki used the Con to defeat the Devil and eventually the Bat Devil died

Gun Devils attack humans first, where Gun Devils kill almost everyone in the organization. Kobeni and Arai are attacked while they are on patrol, resulting in the attack and the attacker fleeing unarmed. During this fight, Denji is badly knocked out and Hinomo is fatally shot, and Aki is the most seriously injured and near death. Using Fox Devil, Aki attacks Katana Man. As a result, Aki's life span is limited. Angi continues to fight by relying on swords. In order to save Anki, Himeno and his contracted devil ask the Ghost Devil to completely surrender to him and fight with Katana to save Aki. Just as Ghost Devil was winning, Sawatari used his Snake Devil to devour Ghost Devil. Himeno wakes the Chains Man by pulling Denji's rope at his last moment. This concludes the creation of the anime

    Trailer

This trailer made it look very interesting from me. This anime looked very interesting and I want to watch it because everyone says it's a good one. The animation is also great, I think the next season will be even better than this.

  12. Chainsaw Man Anime Review [Eng/Esp]@seki1853d

There are a lot of anime's that are quite good in the dark genre. Yet none did it quite like the dark trio. With the amount of gore, blood, demons and deaths, it's a stretch to say this anime's are for kids and the young one. The members of the dark trio are anime's with adult and horrific themes with toes curling action. They include Jujutsu Kaisen, Hell's Paradise and last but not least, Chainsaw Man.

    Chainsaw Man

*** ### Plot > Denji, a teenage boy ridden by the debt that his father accumulated has hit rock bottom. Now to pay back the money to the loan sharks he hunts devil's with his pet devil Pochita. On a mission, he was betrayed and killed, sacrificed to another devil. Pochita, gives Denji his heart, therefore giving him the power to come back to life and use Pochita's chainsaw powers. After killing the gang who betrayed him, he joined the state service of devil hunters, hunting devils, earning a living and going after his dreams. *** This is an anime that can be said to be in the same world has Jujutsu Kaisen. Their characters are almost the same, the demons and curses work in the same manner and their individual authors both have no problem in letting beloved characters die off. Yet this anime has its own individual and unique pizazz✨ *** ####

    What I Liked.

*** ##### - The Characters This is one thing that Chainsaw Man excelled in. It excelled in making up great characters. Characters which one can relate to in this human world. Unlike other Shōnen anime where the MC is all about Justice and making everything right, Chainsaw Man's Denji, is like normal people such that they'll intuitly go for justice. > It's impossible

Denji, pays attention to Justice but won't go out of his way or to incredible lengths to chase justice for a complete strange

    -The Animations

As always, MAPPA did a wonderful job on this show. The action scenes were flexible and well coordinated. The fights are always a joy to watch. One thing that's rather special about this show is how the quality looks a bit grainy, as though they're paper drawings while at other instances they look 3D. These inconsistencies at first seemed like mistakes but it then became clear that it was intentional, the 3D animation method was used mostly during conversations and dialogue while the 2D drawings were used during fights. Now I don't know if it's because of money cuts or whatever but these two animation forms were still put in appropriately, making me appreciate the mastery of the animation crew.

    - The Themes.

Chainsaw Man, despite it's rough and battle looking outlook managed to capture a lot of themes in the show. From the ideas of poverty and desperation, the will to survive and the value of life which was seen in Denji's story to the hatred of loneliness and need for accompaniment that's seen in Power's story. These subtle touches really brings a heartwarming look to the otherwise cold action anime.

    - The Insane Plot Twist.

Now I haven't read the manga, but I have seen spoilers and although I'm not bothered by spoilers, I'm not about to spoil it for anybody reading this. All I'll say is that, as the Jujutsu Kaisen Shibuya Arc was, the deaths that'll be coming later on in this show would be numerous and personal. Then the reveal of the main villain, the twists that are coming is just something that makes me jump in anticipation. I really can't wait for the Rize Arc Movie.

    Overall Review 📝

*** This is a lovely show which I believe all horror anime fantasy loves should watch. If you love dark anime, then this is the perfect choice for you 😍🔥

    *** *** #

    ESPANOL

  13. Chainsaw man's Makima | fanart@mojiko-blog874d

    Greetings

I am new here in this community and I have recently joined it. I have seen here that most of the members are sharing reviews and their own ideas about anime.

To be honest I'm still a bit confused while posting this article as after reading all basic rules I found on the site I found pile of pinned posts which were about some updates and some were about monthly contests and curation but still if I made any mistake so please guide me as it is my first time in this community.

When chainsaw man series was released it was one the most hyped anime art his time to be honest it was way much popular like ( one piece )or ( demon slayer ) are overall denji was much liked as it was supposed to be the main character of the series but in my opinion Makima stole the show with it's cool devil and calm, tall, young and wise chracter she is the devil hunter we have see her in well disciplined manner and soft speaking evenly she is killings dozens of enemies with it's supernatural skills she is calm and relaxed. But as series progressed we came to know that she is not an alley of denji and when she need she also illusinate the main character and he is weaker then Makima all these things have made a massive fan following for Makima after denji in chainsaw man and I am also a fan of Makima ao today I gave a little try to put my effort on fan art of Makima.

    Painting process.

When I draw the sketch I realised that it is not going well as I had imagined so draw it again this is my second result of the sketch.

    base line of art

After that I started highlighting the eyes, nose and face have a look at the next step.

    Outline around face

Hair colour selection proved to be dumb first I thought to give a carlet red as we've seen in movie but I did brown.

    filling with colours

Black tie and white shirt wearing Makima seem be tie hands on his back and a smiling face which is her famous style throughout the aeries after that pose in which she rub her palms and the aeny is killed on the spot by visualising through animals and birds like crows.

Here is final outlook of the result

  14. CHAINSAW MAN [ENG/ESP]@omokhafue881d

[ENG] It's been a really hectic week, test here and there, exams ringing at the back of my head like a constant alarm following me everywhere.

Btw,do any of y'all have study tips I can use to study about six courses in two days?🥲

Let's talk about chainsaw man now. Chainsaw man was one of the first animes I ever watched and I absolutely loved it. A friend of mine, after many persuasion was finally able to get me to watch anime. My first anime ever should be chainsaw man. Or pokemon or dragon ball, can't remember.

Chainsaw man is an anime written by Tatsuki Fujimoto. It's a thrilling anime that has a lot of gory scenes,a blend of intense action, dark humor and compelling/likeable characters. In an interview Tatsuki stated that his passion for storytelling and his love for the medium of manga inspired him to create Chainsaw man manga. The first season of Chainsaw man started airing 2018. Source

Chainsaw man revolves around the life of Denji and devil hunters. Denji is a devil hunter that's merged with a chainsaw devil. What is a Devil? A devil is a supernatural being that grows stronger via fear emitted from humans. The story takes place in a city where demon hunters like Denji are tasked with protecting humans from supernatural beings. The world is dark and gritty. Tatsuki creates an intriguing setting that adds to the overall atmosphere of the manga.

As a chainsaw man, Denji is tasked with hunting down dangerous demons and protecting humans from devils. The plot takes thrilling twists and turns, exploring themes of identity, sacrifice, and blurred lines between good and evil. Source

The animation of the anime was okay. To be honest, there was a lot for criticism when the first three episodes aired. Some fans bashed mappa on why they used CG to animate the first episode and settled for 2-D for the rest episodes. That's a debate for another day

Chainsaw man was a really nice anime, I'd give it 4 out of 5 stars. I really loved it. If you're into thrilling movies/animes, Chainsaw is a great start/ watch. Source

Mi primer anime debería ser Chainsaw Man.

Realmente me encantó. Fuente

  15. Chainsaw Man was Interestingly Weird...@tegoshei966d

I was browsing my anime to-watch list a couple days back because I didn't know what to watch. I usually end up rewatching older stuff that I enjoyed even though I have a pretty long list of anime I'm yet to watch.
Then, I decided to check Chainsaw Man out since there are only 12 episodes and I know it also had a reputation when it came out last year. In addition, I know it's from Shonen JUMP, so I thought, "What could go wrong?"... right? :)

    image.png IMAGE SOURCE
The story is about Denji a young guy who inherited a huge amount of debt from his parents. He was living quite a miserable life with his pet (a devil) named Pochita who he saved when he was younger. Together, they work as devil hunters to pay off the debt. Unfortunately though, he was betrayed and was killed... but then, the very cute Pochita (a chainsaw devil) offered him its heart and he became the Chainsaw Man.

    image.png IMAGE SOURCE
His bond with Pochita was so adorable, so when Pochita sacrificed to bring him back to life, I was teary-eyed. I wanted to see more of Pochita, though.
A lot of interesting and crazy things happened to Denji after he was able to transform as the Chainsaw Man. Since he became a hybrid devil and human, Makima, an elite Public Safety Bureau devil hunter took him in. As long as Denji follows her, he'd be able to live a life in which he need not worry about food and money... but since he's a hybrid, once he tries to leave, he'd be considered a devil.
I won't tell any more info about this anime, but feel free to watch the trailer below.

    [VIDEO SOURCE](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v4yLeNt-kCU)
As expected from an anime based on a Shonen JUMP comic, it was so excited and fun to watch. What made me like this anime the most was the existence of a lot of crazy and unique characters. There were a bunch of funny scenes that made me laugh out loud, but there were also quite the emotional ones... you know that feeling when you see someone who's always so happy and crazy without a care in the world suddenly cries? It's tough...
And ohh.. it's quite bloody, so if gore and grotesque aren't your cup of tea, then I suppose you shouldn't watch this. There are also some other sensitive scenes... But if you want to challenge watching it, just brace yourself... okay?
Thanks for reading and see you next time!!!

  16. (ESP-ENG) Chainsaw Man - [Review]@javyeslava.photo970d

    **

Hola amigos, buenas vibras para todos.

    **

Hello friends, good vibes to all.

    Source!

I had always been recommended to watch the "chainsaw guy" anime but for some strange reason I always put it off, either because of time constraints or because I just forgot about it and that was it. That changed this week when I decided to catch up on this story that is a little over a year old now. When I read a little bit of what it was about I realized that we see again elements with which I'm a little familiar such as demons, those entities that can be the most degradable thing there is or the most useful things, as it happens in this case. Kimetsu, Jujutsu Kaisen and now this one and surely many more involve us with stories of demons that never cease to amaze us and that in the end end up getting to us fans.

Chainsaw Man is a strange anime because it mixes savagery and very typical violence when facing a threat with a rather mundane and basic lore. This is not to say that it is a bad thing, on the contrary, I found it amazing how characters with such basic desires can do such extraordinary things. As I said there is a lot of action but also lust, hence the desires I'm talking about; a very interesting mix indeed. Having finished watching it and waiting for the second season I can say that it is one of the best I've seen, keeping the distance with the big titles. So without further ado, let's talk a little about what this story of killing and desires is about.

    Source!

The story begins with Denji, an orphan who is immersed in abject poverty. When his father died, what he left him were debts and now he must pay them off by working for the Yakuza. One day Denji meets Pochita, a demon who ends up being his pet and faithful companion and at the same time helps him hunt demons to pay off the debt. But as in this mafia can not be trusted our protagonist is betrayed and killed. The thing is that because of the contract he had with Pochita, he sacrifices himself by giving his heart to Denji so that in this way Chainsaw Man is born, a kind of fusion or hybrid between demon and human. In the end, Pochita's feelings were or are pure, there really was a beautiful relationship between a person and his pet.

The point here is that since Denji never had anything in his life and lived eating garbage, anything that is offered to him is the best thing in the world, hence his desires and way of seeing life is so basic and simple. I say this because he is quickly recruited by the Public Security, an entity that is responsible for hunting demons and for this they offered him the only thing he craved, food. From here begins a story which will bring us relationships based on the most superficial desires that can exist at the same time that some pitched battles full of all the violence you can imagine.

    Source!

With this anime something happens and it is that it goes from less to more. When you start watching it you realize that it starts a little weak, it's hard to start so in the first chapters you have to have a little patience. I'm not saying they are bad but if we compare them with the second half of the anime the difference is abysmal as far as intensity is concerned. The first 5-6 chapters are to show us the context of everything, the characters, their relationships; it is here where we learn a little of everyone because yes, they are all protagonists and are important. On several occasions these interactions between the characters become silly and childish, especially between Denji and Power (a young girl possessed by a demon), it's as if they were brothers fighting over everything.

The second part is when it gets down to the nitty-gritty. This is when the plot reaches its climax, you finally find out what is going on and all the final madness is unleashed. As I said there is a lot of blood, violence and it is very explicit, it leaves nothing to the imagination. But it's also explicit for other things, Denji's strongest desire is a purely carnal one and everything he does, all his sacrifices are entirely to fulfill that desire, there is nothing else. There's nothing over the top but there are a few scenes that are a bit suggestive, I thought it was cool because I don't usually associate this kind of thing with seas of blood and dismembered bodies so that combination is interesting.

The animation is incredible, worthy of MAPPA. The fights are extremely fast paced and extremely fast and yet the details of the fights are never lost. Everything is perfectly appreciated and understood. The movements are fluid, the animations at the level of gestures are well achieved, the truth is that everything becomes a little hypnotic. Another point are the characters, for me the key pieces of this anime. Denji, is a guy who despite how superficial he is, has a very strong conviction, he has some very accurate points of view sometimes. Aki and Himeno, the two you see above, are also very top characters. What's relevant about them is the relationship they have, one of respect and love that I would say transcends a lot. It's really an anime that has a plot and a reason to be, everything happens for a specific reason, but the way the characters act is what I liked the most.

And that's not even talking about Makima, everyone's boss, even at the end of the season the most enigmatic character for me. I think she can be the revelation in the second season if she is not already. Anyway, a very good anime that ends in a way that leaves you wanting to keep watching, epic animations, good character development, an interesting story. I give it an 8.5/10, I was quite surprised, it has very shocking moments. The second season is expected to arrive by 2024 so we would have little left, in theory. Highly recommended to everyone, if you haven't seen it, don't wait any longer, here are only 12 chapters. I leave you the trailer below.

In the world of animation, Mappa studio is getting more and more noticed due to the good results of several of their works. So when I read that Mappa was going to bet heavily on the production of this anime, I hoped for the best. The anime was recently released on Crunchyroll, based on the Tatsuki Fujimoto manga of the same name.

On one occasion, working as a demon hunter, he is fatally wounded; however, Pochita decides to eat his heart, allowing Denji to revive as a human/demon. From that moment on, he will have to make a living as a demon hunter.

First I write about the anime, that after several chapters broadcasted I have no doubt, we are in front of the anime of the year. From an excellent animation, full of moments of action with a display of colorful demons; in turn, it has a good soundtrack, highlighting the addictive opening, Kick Back by Kenshi Yonezu.

On the plot side, the creation of interesting characters, among them Power, Makima, Aki, Denji, etc., stands out. The context around the demons, although not new, is revealed little by little, the details of the characters and their past. Another good point, is its good work in comedy, with several moments of black humor.

About the manga, on which it is based, it is already surpassing 100 chapters. From what I have read, it is noticeable that the development is in arcs and the introduction of peculiar characters. The character design and the amusing plot stand out; however, the lack of details in the drawing, in addition to being somewhat irregular, detract certain points.

If you have to watch an anime this year, undoubtedly Chainsaw Man would be the first one I would recommend; if you are interested in advancing in the story, the manga is more than acceptable.

  21. Chainsaw Man First Episode Reaction@adamada1361d

I’ve already spoiled myself of the upcoming events from Chainsaw Man’s source material. I was just letting my YouTube recommendation cruise through a playlist of AMVs and the song “Devil in Your Heart” by SiM was used in a fanmade AMV. I got hooked with the art style on top of the music used but it didn’t compel me to check the story out until YouTube being YouTube does its thing by recommending Chainsaw Man related content. It was at this point I fell into the rabbit hole and it’s awesome.

Spoiler Alert: I’m only going to discuss the events during the first episode of the anime. If you aren’t bothered with spoilers, great.

    MAPPA CHANNEL

    Summary:

In the world of Chainsaw Man, devils exist and are named by the fear they represent. If there’s a conceptual fear that exists, there’s an equivalent devil incarnate that exists in hell that represents it. Devil hunters are tasked to eliminate such threats to keep the peace and each nation has their own set of devil hunters acting on behalf of their own political agenda too. Devils defeated get sent back to hell as part of the cycle of reincarnation.

Denji, the main protagonist of the show was on his father’s funeral who died of suicide leaving him a ridiculous amount of debt from loan sharks. Denji was still a young boy during this time and was tasked to come up with a ridiculous amount of money the next day or else. It was here he met Pochita, a devil in dog life form with a protruding chainsaw on its forehead.

On its weakened state exhibited by profuse bleeding from bullet holes, Denji offered his blood to heal the devil establishing their contract. Pochita’s chainsaw form became a weapon to slay lesser devils and selling the carcasses to the black market became a livelihood to pay off a debt.

Working with Pochita didn’t make life any easy for Denji as he still has a ridiculous amount of debt to pay back to the point where he sold his eye, kidney, and testicles became an option. This never stopped guy from dreaming of better days living under a rundown shack and a slice of bread with no jam. This was when Denji started coughing out blood and making a remark how his mother died of the a heart disease too.

On one night, his boss asks for his service to slay a devil on to be betrayed. The boss signed up a contract with the Zombie Devil in exchange for power and in turn, the Zombie Devil takes his fury against devil hunters on Denji killing him and fatally wounding Pochita in an ambush. Denji’s body was cut in pieces and tossed into the trash.

Pochita being on the brink of death happens to take a drop out of Denji’s blood and decides to make another contract by turning into Denji’s heart. Denji’s dying wish for the devil was asking Pochita to possess his body as way to give the small devil a fighting chance at life. Pochita will either starve to death or get killed by devil hunters and this was the only regret Denji had if he ever died.

Denji lives a hybrid manifesting the powers of the Chainsaw Devil destroying the Zombie Devil and its minions. In the aftermath, Japan’s devil hunter group Makima arrives at the scene only to find the Zombie Devil killed and a barely conscious Denji on his chainsaw devil form. He was offered a choice to become a hunter or die as a devil.

    Bonus Spoiler:

The Chainsaw Devil is regarded as the Hero of Hell given its ability to erase any devil it defeats from existence after consuming it. In the world of Chainsaw Man, nuclear bombs don’t exist as an example because it is presumed that the Chainsaw Devil defeated the nuclear devil thus the fear of nuclear threat ceased to exist.

The pilot episode on its own does a spectacular job in setting the foundation for Denji as a character. Prior to the formal start of the Denji’s journey as a devil hunter, we already caught a glimpse of his minor hero arc at the scene where he is staring at his father’s grave.

Taken from Joseph Campbell’s the Hero’s Journey, the pilot episode followed the same formula at a smaller scale. The departure stage was when Denji was forced to come into terms with the death of his father by suicide and the debt he has to shoulder leaving his childhood innocence behind. The conclusion of this stage was when he struck a deal with Pochita and transitioned into the Initiation stage where he tries to earn a living and survive the harsh realities he is into. The hero return stage is coming to terms with his lifestyle and reflecting about his journey so far.

Some elements of the Hero’s journey such as the Helper/Sage archetype can be arguably being seen in the form of the loan shark who guides Denji into menial tasks that could pay off his debt. Despite the loan shark having no good will intentions for Denji, the outcome of putting him on dangerous situations have fortified Denji’s resolve and character before we met him during the first episode. And the Hero’s Journey is a cycle of growth where we could consider the first episode as the Departure Stage of a greater arc.

Picture a kid transitioning towards his teens already not giving a care about his health, willing to sell his kidney, eye and testicles for money that barely makes reduces an overwhelming debt he has no control nor his fault. But here we have a character that is solely motivated by his own to survive and give his best to live.

Chainsaw Man is arguably an alternative to the standard shounen formula where the main character is motivated to do things for others and somehow triumphs over the adversities by sheer will and friendship until the next problem arises. Denji’s motivations are clear, simple, and surprisingly easy to relate to. He just wants to have jam on his slice bread and get laid with a girl. These simple motivations are understandable for the life he is living and what age he’s in. There’s no grand vendetta to make his loan shark pay for his suffering, save the world form devils, and trying to live for others that are common motivations seen in other popular shounen.

    Animation and Music

    MAPPA CHANNEL

I’d still prefer the fanmade “Devil in Your Heart” by SiM but the official opening of this show is awesome on its own, with several visuals in reference to pop culture in between. The show used a blend of 2D and 3D which may put off some anime 2D purists as 3D used in anime have often had several examples of being bad than good. I could agree that some scenes of the first episode needed a little more tweaking during the fight scenes but it’s not all bad.

If I never had any prior idea about Chainsaw Man’s world, this intro to the series would have motivated me to search for the source material. It’s off to a good start even for non-manga readers.

If you made it this far reading, thank you for your time.

    Introduction

Hello everyone, meet me again @workaholic666 in The Anime Realm community, I'm always happy to write about the Anime that I like. In this post, I will give a review of the Anime which was just released on the official Crunchyroll platform on October 11, 2022, which made me really look forward to it after accidentally watching the trailer on Youtube MAPPA CHANNEL a month ago.

    Chainsaw Man

Almost a month ago, while scrolling through a video on Youtube, I randomly opened a video recently posted by [MAPPA CHANNEL](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v4yLeNt-kCU) with the title Chainsaw Man Trailer. After seeing the trailer I was amazed by the visuals and the characters in it who have chainsaws on their heads, then two days ago I saw **Crunchyroll** announcing that they were releasing the ***Chainsaw Man Anime Episode 1*** officially which instantly made my curiosity that has been almost a month finally fulfilled.

The story of a young man with orange hair with a chainsaw that looks like a dog named Pochita, he tells about exterminating demons which is considered a job to make money. The young man named Denji, along with the Chainsaw Dog fights the demons that roam for money and fulfil their needs.

    My Thought

I didn't know that the Chainsaw Man Anime was adapted from a Manga that was released in 2018 because I rarely read Manga and prefer to wait for it to be adapted into Anime even though sometimes there is much good Manga but no Anime is made.

MAPPA Studio has never disappointed me to this day because they managed to show that even though it is classified as a new Studio in the Anime world, MAPPA managed to provide their best Anime that made the audience very satisfied like The God of Highschool, Zombie Land Saga, Attack on Titan Final which was originally doubted by fans when it was released by MAPPA, it turned out to be successful in making their opinion wrong, then there was Jujutsu Kaisen which according to MAPPA's anime was very successful.

    source

Chainsaw Man in Episode 1 instantly amazed me when I watched it, Denji's character with all the problems in life he faced toughly made me tremble as well as a reminder not to complain when faced with problems. I haven't been able to give many reviews about Chainsaw Man because it has just been released, maybe I will explain in more detail when the anime is finished with my opinion as a viewer.

    source

Although Anime with the Devil hunter genre has been released by many other studios, this Chainsaw Man looks different to me, I don't know why when I found out that this anime was about Devil hunters it made my curiosity even stronger find out what happened next.

    Conclusion

Overall, this Chainsaw Man anime for my first impression was so interesting to watch, and I highly recommend it to all of you because, in terms of Characters and visuals, it is eye-catching which makes me think that MAPPA Studio is very serious about developing this Anime.

Disclaimer: This is my personal opinion as a viewer, the entire article above is not meant to be a spoiler and if you think this is a spoiler, please watch it first and then read this post.

    OPINION

Chainsaw man has been chosen by MAPPA studios to be animated, it has not finished its manga but I think it is a good time to talk about this anime that is about to be the new anime in fashion, surpassing Kimetsu no Yaiba and Jujutsu Kaisen, such Maybe you can see that difficult or wonder why I say that, because this anime has many points in favor.

A point that will give to it a lot of views from the studio that animates it, already having quite a reputation for having good animation and choosing animes with great history value, for those of us who are fairly familiar with MAPPA's work, we can expect an incredible animation since the manga has enough details in its drawings that we hope to see reflected in the anime. Apart from having a good character design, it also has a fairly well explained and realistic world, the demons here are not beings with feelings that you can fight with the power of love and friendship, they are real demons from hell that materialize in the world. human through fear, the more afraid you are of that something, the stronger the demon will be.

Demon hunters are not beings with superhuman abilities, they are regular humans with contracts with demons, this is something that I like too much because the contracts made with demons are quite realistic, depending on what the demon asks you as a contract it can take parts of your body before sealing the contract or take parts of your body every time you use it (nails, skin, hair) is quite interesting.

The origin of the demons is realistic, I don't want to say how is their way of life and others because I would be spoiling something important in the plot, you can get to read it and know what their origin is and how they manifest themselves. The main character, Denji, is a boy who has suffered a lonely life and at least of everything, his main objective is to have a normal life, meet a girl, fall in love, eat the three meals a day, he is not a character that seek justice or acceptance, he just want to live in peace.

Chainsaw Man is a manga with a charismatic main character, with real problems, mysterious and empathetic, it has a good origin of his powers and his enemies, nothing very complicated and not so simple to understand, the secondary characters are interesting, leaving you wanting to know more about them, all that full of mystery about some things that are answered over time. The manga has been warned to be canceled twice for sexual scenes that it has, ignoring all the vomit that there may be, including the organs of the demons that come out and constantly regenerate.

I am anxious to know what the animation will be like, what things will cover and what will not; I hope they do not cover anything, leaving everything as it is because it would be fun to see those scenes, I'm not sure when the anime can come out, the manga is still on air, having 93 chapters so far and it comes out monthly as far as I can read, most likely they will animate only 12 chapters, at most 24 as they normally do, but not like Jujutsu Kaisen who animated four chapters of manga in their animated chapter, I think they will lengthen it to be able to reach that many animated chapters without touching arcs of the main story that should be left for last. What do you think of this new anime about to premiere?

  26. Manga Review: Chainsaw Man 97 “I, Love, Chainsaw Man” (End of Part 1: Public Safety Arc)@edens2029d

    88b6382c.jpg

And I finish Chainsaw Man, but only its first part, because surprisingly, the second announcement that was related to this manga was its continuation, although better said, Chainsaw Man will have two more continuations and just finished the first one, 1 of 3 next sequels that are coming soon, although there is no exact date, but it is estimated to start from next year. No doubt a surprise nobody expected. The other news that goes along with the continuation of the manga is that now Chainsaw Man will stop being published in the Shonen Jump and from its 2nd part it will be published in the ShonenPlus digitally, being this media much freer at the moment of the censorship, so the next thing that comes from Chainsaw Man, will be much more gore and violent than usual, besides giving its creator, a little more freedom at the moment of publishing. Because in MangaPlus, besides being less strict with everything related to censorship, it also gives mangkas much more flexibility to publish. So in total it was 3 news regarding Chainsaw Man, the first one is that the manga is going to continue, and it will have 2 more parts, the second one is that now it is going to be published in ShonenPlus and the 3rd news is the one we all expected and the most logical one: Adaptation to anime, the most expected by all fans of this manga, is that Chainsaw Man will be adapted to anime and will be produced and created by Mappa, an animation studio that is currently taking care of the 4th season of Shingeki no Kyojin and Jujutsu Kaisen anime. This is a studio that has done good work, so Chainsaw Man is in good hands.

    3 1.jpg

Chainsaw Man 97 "I, Love, Chainsaw Man" begins with a color image with the different types of food Denji has made with Makima's body, different types of food, to end the "love" of his life. Then Denji is seen walking the Makima dogs and Power's cat, and in a park he meets Kishibe. The two begin to talk while some children begin to play with the dogs.

Denji begins by saying that he ate everything (he ate all of Makima) and that she didn't come back from her stomach or her shit. Kishibe asks Denji how he could "kill" Makima since the attacks don't work on her. Denji answers that he didn't mean to kill her or hurt her, he just wanted to be part of her, and that is love. He says all this while petting one of Makima's dogs. Kishibe responds and tells her that her method probably worked by chance, that somehow Denji was able to break the contract by which Makima can relive every moment.

Kishibe asks the question that we all asked in past chapters: How could Denji attack Makima if she can perceive everything? Denji with a rather sad look answers Kishibe that Because of all the conversations she had with Makima in the past and all the things they had to live through, she realized that Makima perceives people by their sense of smell, and that she doesn't really remember the faces of the people she is not interested in, but remembers the essence and smell of the people she is really interested in. So, as he ripped Pochita out of his body and just held on to Power's blood for a few moments, he realized that Makima never paid attention to him (Denji), he was only interested in the Chainsaw Man (Friend Zone).

The children who were playing with the dogs leave, but there is still a girl who is still playing with a dog, Denji tells her to leave, since they are talking about secret things, however, that girl bites Denji's finger and immediately Denji recognizes that bite. And it turns out that this little girl is "Makima" or rather, she is the Control Demon that has been revived. Kishibe says he found her in China and stole her. But that she is no longer Makima. Since Makima died and that girl should have no memories of her previous life. But that if that girl is left in the care of the government she will become Makima again and things will go back to the way they were.

Kishibe tells Denji to leave the girl with him, since he (Kishibe) is very busy and that leaving her with Denji is his best option. But before Denji refused Kishibe's request, she had already disappeared.

Leaving Denji with the child. Denji asks the girl her name and she answers: "Nayuta". Then he asks her what she wants to eat, and that it be anything but meat. Nayuta answers "bread". And after that they both go home.

They eat and sleep together as a family. And on a subconscious level, Denji meets Pochita, hugs him and Pochita tells Denji that: His dream was that someone would hug him, and that in spite of being such a simple dream, because he was very strong and they were very afraid of him, he could never achieve it and that it was Denji who was able to fulfill his dream.

But he also tells her that he wants Denji to fulfill the Control Demon's dream. Pochita tells her that the Control Demon always wanted to create equal relationships with others, that she always wanted to have a family, but she could only form relationships through fear (all this because she was corrupted by the government or so I understand). Pochita asks Denji to create the dream world of the demon of control. Denji asks Pochita how he can do it.

And the answer is: hugs, a lot of hugs, that is, love and affection, something that working and being raised by the government, never had. All this, while we see Denji hugging Nayuta.

    hug.png

After this, they change the scene and we see a demon attacking in the city, while people run away from him, people start talking about the Chainsaw Man and say: Killing demons in the Chainsaw Man's passage, they say that he only saves women and they wonder if he is human. In parallel to this, we see the rope coming out of Denji's chest, while one last person says that: There is a rumor that the Chainsaw Man is a high school student. And on the last page, we see Denji in a school uniform, ready to transform himself into the Chainsaw Man to fight. Thus ending the first part and arc of this wonderful manga, which they called: Part 1 Public Security Arc.

And so ends Chainsaw Man, surprising us all, not only with the expected anime, but also with a continuation of his manga. Very surprised and excited by what is coming up with Chainsaw Man.

  27. Manga Review: Chainsaw Man 96 “This Kind of Taste”@edens2037d

And this is the penultimate chapter of this manga, which in a short time has become one of my favorites. As things were happening in recent chapters, as you could sense that the end was quite close, however, not expected to come so quickly. This week (unofficially) the last chapter of Chainsaw Man is published and I say unofficially since usually, the chapter leaks come out on Thursday and on Friday the whole chapter leaks out in Japanese, and that same day or the next (Saturday) the translated versions are published by the fans. Being Sunday the day when the official chapter is published in MangaPlus, why do I tell this? I don't know, I'm assimilating that Chainsaw Man ends this week. This penultimate chapter, brings with it a very important news that will be revealed in chapter 97, all the fans suspect that it could be the announcement of the adaptation to the anime, which I hope will be like that, others theorize that it could be a 2nd part of Chainsaw Man, although this I doubt it very much, the announcement of the anime is much more logical because this manga is quite popular in Japan. However, as if the news of the surprise were not enough, the publisher of the manga announced that there will be another surprise which will be revealed this Thursday, therefore, we will have two news related to Chainsaw Man, so at least one of them is more than sure to be the adaptation of the manga to the anime. I just hope they make it as faithful as possible to the original product. In the same way I will make a post of the new information that comes out of Chainsaw Man.

Now, the review of the penultimate chapter of Chainsaw Man:

Chainsaw Man 96 "This Kind of Taste" begins by showing us Makima sitting on the floor, smoking after having defeated Chainsaw Man/Denji, then takes Pochita in her heart shape and tells her that this is the second time she has defeated him, that she now belongs to him and that from now on they will sleep together, eat together and always be together. Makima looks very happy about his victory, however, while he was worshipping Pochita, behind her there is a large number of bodies from which a figure in a suit is emerging, and surprising Makima with a loud warning sound of a chainsaw.

Denji appears, who is willing to attack her, showing us in the next page, how Denji, dressed in a suit attacks Makima, making a cut in almost all his body.

To Makima's surprise look, Denji turns to her and tells her that "I was waiting for the moment when she would let down her guard and now take Pochita back". Denji continues to talk and says that he had to use all the blood that Power gave him and Makima, still surprised, asks him how he is still alive. Denji explains to her that the Chainsaw Man/Denji with whom she has been fighting all this time, is nothing more than "a Pochita" who is torn from her heart, this part is a little confusing, I think I understand that, Denji took off a piece of Pochita, after that piece was regenerated the "Chainsaw Man" with which Makima had been fighting the last chapters and that Denji was kept alive with Power's blood.

Denji continues with his monologue and tells Makima that her wounds are taking a long time to heal and that this is because he attacked her with a chainsaw made from Power's blood and that she is now inside her and her regeneration is being affected.

Faced with this, Makima was about to tell Denji that she is still not going to die, but Denji stops her and tells her that he knows that. At that moment Kishibe arrives in a van and Denji tells Makima that he is going to cut her.

Now in Denji's apartment, it seems that some days have passed, Kishibe tells Denji that there are still people dying for Makima, because Makima's contract with the prime minister of Japan is still active, and she is trying to regenerate. Kishibe keeps talking to Denji and tells him that he is not sure that with his plan he will defeat Makima and that he should prepare himself to lose and die, but before he leaves he also tells him that he will come back if he is still alive and that he should not die because he (Denji) is the most qualified for the job of "Devil Hunters".

Denji is a little confused by Kishibe's words. Denji is alone in his apartment and starts to get hungry so he starts looking through his things for something to cook, while he talks to himself and says that: "Despite all that has happened, he still loves Makima, but the people who have died because of her, will never forgive her, so he will carry his sins with him. Denji says this while he is cooking.

Denji is serving her food and continues to say: "Maybe you should stick a bomb next to her and explode it together, but that won't work with her and the best idea is that the two of them (Makima and Denji) should be one and the same.

Denji already served himself all the food and started eating what was served, and already at this moment, I had suspicions about what was going to happen next, everything Denji was saying while looking for that cooking, preparing the food and serving himself, all this was a preparation for the shocking final page of this chapter.

Which is better to see than to explain:

And with this we arrive to the penultimate chapter of Chainsaw Man, which the resolution with Makima was something quite rare but at the same time logical within the universe of madness of this manga. In a few days comes the review of the last chapter, along with the two new news regarding Chainsaw Man. And as a curious fact, see this reference to the first cover of Chainsaw Man:

  28. Manga Review: Chainsaw Man 95 “Chainsaw Man vs. Control Devil”@edens2045d

Well, the reviews of Chainsaw Man are very late, the last one I did was the one of chapter 92, in which Denji was seeing how the Chainsaw Man has become famous thanks to his heroic acts, after that chapter, they showed us a Denji anxious for fame and for having women around him, A rather selfish and superficial desire, but being a character with such a tragic past is understandable, after this, Denji mentions that he wants to live that way, but with Makima around that is not going to be possible, so he decides to confront her even though he still has feelings for her. That's how he meets Makima and his army of simps in what would be the final battle. The later chapters are a pure act of action and fight of Denji against Makima and his army of Simps where we see Denji, that in spite of not having the same force that the previous version of the Chainsaw Man, could defeat all the companions of Makima, nevertheless, the last enemy to which it faced, which was Quanxi, before defeating it, it managed to hurt Denji to such a point that it left it in the floor. Denji managed to defeat everyone except Makima, however, remaining on the ground, but by a very strange twist, Makima gives Denji some of her blood so that he can regenerate, since she wants to defeat him with her own hands. And so we continue with chapter 95, which once again, is full of action on most of its pages.

Chainsaw man 95 "Chainsaw Man vs. Control Devil", starts just as I mentioned before, with Makima giving Denji blood to regenerate. Immediately, Denji attacks Makima and from this moment on, the chapter is a festival of blood, violence and death. Makima dies many times in this chapter, however, because of his ability he can revive as many times as he wants.

The battle intensifies on both sides, raining blows, kicks, cuts, decapitations, dismemberments, in short, gore violence everywhere you look. However, little by little Makima is taking advantage of the situation and succeeding in hurting Denji enough to leave him motionless.

And it is at this point that the chapter shows us its most shocking scene, as we see Makima taking out Pochita, he was functioning as the heart of Denji's body. It is a beautiful image, but it has not yet succeeded in detaching Pochita from Denji's body completely.

Makima asks Denji how he can make the real Chainsaw Man come back, but Denji doesn't utter a single word and only spits blood at Makima in his face, so Makima is enraged at such an act and continues to say: That, the Chainsaw Man doesn't wear clothes, that he doesn't speak and doesn't spit, and that if he (Denji) is going to come between the Chainsaw Man and her, then he must die.

And after those words, Makima finishes pulling Pochita out of Denji's body, thus ending the chapter, with the protagonist totally defeated and in agony and before a look of Makima of total contempt and disappointment.

A chapter full of action, but also full of rawness, is very close to the end of this wonderful manga and although I am sure it will not have a happy ending, I am also sure that Makima will not achieve its purpose either, something will happen in the next chapters.

  29. Manga Review: Chainsaw Man 92 "Zombie, Blood, Chainsaw"@edens2061d

Chainsaw Man is back, I hadn't done the review of chapter 92 because it was a pretty relaxed chapter, although with a pretty powerful message and very deep feelings from Denji and Kobeni. Chapter 92 brought with it a beautiful color page, where we can see Denji in an alley a little dark and in its contrast we see Power and Aki walking in a corridor in total clarity, the sun is hitting them. This shows that Denji is totally in the dark because of his depression and mental instability. A rather sad but profound image.

But without further ado, the chapter review:

Chainsaw Man 92 "Zombie, Blood, Chainsaw", begins by showing us Kishibe, Denji and surprisingly Kobine, we haven't seen this character since Chainsaw Man saved her from Makima's attack. Kishibe takes these two characters to a hideout where he tells them that they will be there temporarily and that for now Makima won't find them, that they should eat and rest and then leave the next day. Kobeni asks Kishibe if Makima is going to come and kill her because of all she knows and if she will also have to stop talking to her family. To all this Kishibe responds "yes". However, Kobeni feels relieved since she has found a perfect excuse to cut off her family. Let's remember that Kobeni never liked his family; he is a rather tragic character and has very bad luck.

We see both Denji and Kobeni sitting on the floor, both looking defeated and sad, as well as mentally defeated. Kobeni begins to tremble and Denji asks him "What's wrong with you? She answers that despite having a shitty life and that she has always had bad luck, she is afraid of dying and that it must be pretty good to be like him (like Denji), since he can revive.

However, Denji responds that even though he looks "good" at the time, the truth is that he is wrong, both mentally and emotionally, and that even his feelings were created by someone else, he considers himself an empty shell. So sad is Denji's situation for everything that has happened that the only real decision in his life has been what he chose to eat.

These two characters are still having a pretty deep conversation about how they feel now and what it means to have a "normal" life. Denji says that he will always live by obeying someone just like a dog, and Kobeni replies that "Isn't that normal," since absolute freedom doesn't exist and that we will always have to do things that other people order us to do and that believing otherwise would only be a dream.

At these words Denji is in total shock and just responds that he wants to be a normal person. Kobeni asks him if he wants to be normal, emphasizing what Denji really wants. But before the protagonist can answer.

Denji hears the word "Chainsaw Man" on TV. On TV he is broadcasting the news of what Chainsaw Man has done all this time, now he has become a very popular celebrity. He is being praised and admired by many people. The chapter ends with Denji watching in complete amazement the television.

Tomorrow I will bring the review of Chapter 93, I am waiting for the official version of the chapter to be published, as it has a better translation.

  30. Manga Review: Chainsaw Man 91 "Power, Power, Power"@edens2072d

This chapter of Chainsaw Man enters as one of the best of the whole manga, since besides being a quite sad chapter due to the events that happen, it shows us a quite logical and very well developed character evolution, besides giving us a farewell according to the character. A beautiful as well as sad chapter. The last chapter brought us the resurrection of Power, which due to the fact that in the past, Denji consumed his blood, a portion of it was living inside Denji, after Power's death and consequently the fight between Chainsaw Man/Denji vs Makima and his simps, due to the defeat of Chainsaw Man, Pochita, which is still inside Denji's body, used the remaining portion of Power and made him revive in a totally new and powerful way, he confronted Makima, however, Makima is a beast in every sense, so in the end Power "betrayed" Denji, saying that he would give him up, in this chapter we will see what will really happen.

But without further delay the review of the chapter:

Chainsaw Man 91 "Power, Power, Power" begins just as the last chapter ended, Makima tells Power to place the Chainsaw Man on the floor, however, Power is totally immobile and at that moment begins to remember all the good times he has spent with Denji, which logically makes her doubt about what he is doing.

So in the face of such memories, Power attacks Makima and begins to run away, taking Denji with her, while screaming at herself that why is she doing this, since she knows she doesn't stand a chance against Makima. However, Power keeps running away carrying Denji with her by nature because the love and affection she feels for Denji is stronger. While on the run, she is chased by the Makima simps and is attacked several times.

We see a little memory of her in the past, I estimate that is when just "born" Power, so to speak, in the memory she is seen running totally naked, while she goes to say that: "Just like her own life, the lives of others are trivial, so it is not worth crying over, however, in spite of that, she does not want Denji to die, since he is her first friend". All this happens while Power, quite destroyed by the attacks of the Makima simps, escapes with Denji, enters an alley and the two of them enter a trash can.

"Inside the garbage container", we see Denji and Power, however these two characters are in their human forms, totally clean and even with their clothes intact, so they are not there physically, they are in Denji's "inner world". And this is where the sad part of this chapter comes in. After an exchange of looks, Power hugs Denji and tells him that he came to save him, however, a totally defeated and depressed Denji responds that he is fine since he has been able to do things that he never thought he would do in his life, like going out with a girl, playing video games, eating and even sleeping next to her, with all those things compared to his previous life was like a dream come true.

Besides, there is nothing waiting for him in life anymore, adding also that, she (Power) is not there with him. At such words, Power begins to insult him and asks him if he misses her so much that he can't do anything and Denji answers "yes". Here we see how Denji has fallen into an emotional hole, nothing else matters to him in life, after having a shitty life and going from that to having friends, food, a family, compared to his previous life is a paradise, that's why Aki's death and Power's subsequent death, made Denji enter a level of depression so great that he no longer cares about life. It's really sad this moment.

Continuing, Power explains to Denji that when demons die, they are reborn again in hell, but without memories, so if the two of them meet again they will be enemies. Therefore Power tells him to find The Blood Devil, to find him, to become friends and to turn The Blood Devil back into Power, as they will be friends again.

Power makes a contract with Denji, which consists of her giving him all her blood, but in return Denji must found her. Denji wakes up and comes out of the dumpster, remembering Power's words and shedding tears at what has just happened. Power is gone, but now he has a reason to continue living and that reason is to bring Power back.

When Denji wakes up, Kishibe is next to him and tells him that if he is Denji he will help him get rid of Makima, but if he is the Chainsaw Man he will go back to the garbage dumpster to sleep.

Denji does not say a word, but responds to Kishibe by showing him the symbol of peace, demonstrating that he is Denji and that he is back.

What a beautiful and at the same time sad chapter, they gave us a beautiful evolution of character with Power, a character who at the beginning only cared about herself and her cat, but the experiences she had with Denji, formed a connection and an improvement in her that even sacrificed for the good of her friend, besides giving her a reason for Denji to continue living. This chapter is a reflection of what happened in the first chapter of this manga, there are pages that are a reinterpretation of chapter one, it is really a marvel the parallelism that Fujimoto captured. I think this time there is little left to finish and I am sure it will be a bit of a bitter end.

  31. Manga Review: Chainsaw Man 90 "Super Power"@edens2081d

Another week in which we have a crazy chapter of Chainsaw Man, this week's chapter stars a peculiar color page, in which we can only see Makima, an image very similar to the one that starred Aki, some chapters before his death. Could this be the omen that Makima's death is approaching? I hope so, but more important than that is that the most beloved character in this manga is back and I'm sure you know what that character is.

Without further ado, the chapter review:

Chainsaw Man 90 "Super Power", begins by showing us the best character in this series: Power, however, is in a rather strange place, it is very dark and there are very strange things that look like intestines under it. She is sleeping, but Pochita appears and tells her to wake up and save Denji.

Power recognizes Pochita, however she tells him that she cannot help him because she is dead, but Pochita answers that there is still a way to bring her back to life, because when Denji took Power's blood some time ago, that portion of blood still remains in Denji's body and is the "Power" that is currently in front of him (in front of Pochita). This makes sense since Power is a "Blood Devil", so part of the essence of Power is inside Denji because he in the past consumed his partner's blood. This is a good excuse to bring her back. Pochita explains to him that weak demons that eat stronger demons become equally strong, so Pochita tells her to eat it so she can reincarnate again. Pochita asks her if she is willing to save Denji, Power very energetically, as this character has always been, she answers that of course, since Denji is her partner.

After this, we return to the "real world" in which Makima is walking with his army to the Chainsaw Man/Denji, however, from the mouth of the protagonist begins to emerge much blood from which also comes Power in a new totally powerful form and immediately begins to attack Makima, creating knives, razors and any other type of cutting weapons that impact on various parts of the body of Makima. Makima begins to counterattack and summons a sword, however, Power again attacks Makima throwing even more knives and swords at her, before a Power totally exalted by her new powers.

But Makima, logically is not defeated yet and recovers again, to later invoke another demon, this demon is "Zombie", which together with him, several controlled humans appear and attack Power, immobilizing it for a few moments. This moment is taken advantage of by Makima, who again using the skill with which in past chapters killed Power, again attacks her by cutting off one of her arms completely.

While Power is on the ground after Makima's attack, she asks Power "Why is she alive? however Power does not answer her even though it is clear that she is still afraid of Makima. Makima with a very imposing look intimidates Power to answer her, however, she does not and takes the Chainsaw Man/Denji and sets out to run away. But, again Power is attacked by Makima from behind, preventing her from escaping.

Again Makima turns to Power and tells him to give her Denji and that if he does, he will not kill her and will have her as his pet again. After a cross of looks between Power and Makima, in which you can see the poor Power very scared, in a very funny plot twist, Power tells her that he is going to give her Denji. Before a look of disappointment from Pochita, Power "betrays" them.

With this funny and comical twist the chapter ends, chapter which brings back Power, a character loved by all, who came back being more powerful, but betraying everyone. However, I believe that she will not really betray them, I hope this is just a trick to make Makima trust her, even though with this manga, you never really know what might happen. By the way, thanks to @ahmadmanga who advised me on how to improve the posts, so I have changed a little the format of the posts, in the now only put the images and panels most important of the chapters, and compile them in gifs, I think it looks much better, although I am not an expert in create gifs.

  33. Manga Review: Chainsaw Man 89 "Go Get 'Em, Chainsaw Man"@edens2088d

After the Chainsaw Man massacre in the last chapter, the manga returns this week, more and more entering its final stage, or so it seems. This chapter shows us once again how intelligent, powerful and strategical Makima can be, although there are certain things that I still don't understand, but what we can see is that this wonderful manga, which has broken the known paradigms of Shonen Jump, is possibly coming to an end and it will not be a happy or sad ending, I think it will be the combination of these two feelings.

And without further ado, the review of this week's chapter:

Chainsaw Man 89 "Go Get 'Em, Chainsaw Man", begins by showing us Kobeni, who is still dancing from past chapters. Kobeni's character is quite funny, because besides being the character with the most bad luck, but also the character with the best luck of all, since she is possibly the only character that is not going to die in the manga, besides that she is an excellent dancer, making a perfect score in the dance game, but well, that is another story. When Kobeni finished dancing, she realized that on one side of the street was the Chainsaw Man sitting in a somewhat deplorable state, she asks the Chainsaw Man "Why is he dancing?", however, at that very moment Makima appears, who logically had not died, and she says that along with the last "death", it is already 26 times that she (Makima) has died. He also asks the Chainsaw Man a very interesting question, "Why didn't he eat her?".

Then we see Makima using their powers by controlling through chains that come out of their... vagina, perhaps? A group of characters and also taking the body that the Chainsaw Man had previously killed. Kobeni says that she has nothing to do with what is happening, but Makima says that she does, because because Kobeni is losing his fear of the Chainsaw Man he is losing his strength, and clearly that can be seen in the next vignette where we see a weak looking and bleeding Chainsaw Man.

After this we are shown the news of the city and it is that the inhabitants of the city are celebrating the Chainsaw Man for his previous heroic acts, he has saved many lives throughout this time and also has "defeated" the Gun Devil, so the crowd now, instead of fearing him admires him, creating a group of fans around the city.

Such a situation makes the Chainsaw Man lose strength, since he feeds on fear and if people admire him he will no longer be able to feed on that fear, so in a sense "he is devouring himself".

However, before processing what is happening well, Makima uses Angel and invokes what is possibly his most powerful weapon, which he invokes using the bodies he controls with his chains. From this weapon he invokes a spear which is directed towards Kobeni, however, the Chainsaw Man places his body in defense of his former partner, receiving all the impact of Makima's attack, which before a look of disappointment from the antagonist, we see the Chainsaw Man totally defeated on the ground, and at the same time we see a group of people with masks (even making references to movies like "Friday the 13th" and " The Texas Chain Saw Massacre") celebrating and admiring the acts of the Chainsaw Man.

A quite shocking chapter, we see a totally defeated Chainsaw Man, but also a disappointed Makima, I think what can happen in the next chapter is that those people who admire the Chainsaw Man give them their own blood so that he again has the strength to fight Makima, although this manga is always unpredictable, and possibly something totally unexpected will happen.

  34. Manga Review: Chainsaw Man 87-88@edens2097d

Another week and another chapter of Chainsaw Man, which is getting closer and closer to its end, although this time I will talk about the last two chapters, exactly chapter 87 and 88, since last week you can't do the respective review of chapter 87, however, today there is a double combo. Changing the subject a little, these two weeks without One Piece have been a little boring, and although Chainsaw Man and Boku No Hero Academy have had excellent chapters, there will always be One Piece missing to complete the week, fortunately, this next week the famous pirates manga is back.

Without further ado, the review of Chapter 87 and 88 of Chainsaw Man.

Chainsaw 87 "Chainsaw Man vs. The Horriying Weapon Humans", begins just as chapter 86 ended, with the Chainsaw Man surrounded by Makima and her 7 Simps, which she is manipulating to kill Denji/Chainsaw Man, however, just starting the chapter, Makima gives very important information about the Chainsaw Man, since she mentions that, he (Chainsaw Man), in the past devoured the name of the beings that were in front of him (referring to the "demons" that are inside the body of those "humans"), but even so, their existences were not erased. Let's remember that the special ability of the Chainsaw Man is to disappear from existence everything that devours, therefore it ceases to exist from history and from people's minds, however, this that Makima explains I did not understand it completely, I hope it will be better explained later.

Makima continues and says that while he (Chainsaw Man) was fighting the "Weapon Devils" and at the same time along with the "4 Horsemen", (I guess the Horsemen of the Apocalypse), the Chainsaw Man suddenly disappeared from the battlefield and even though they looked for him they could not find him because after that battle he was so wounded that he took a totally unrecognizable form (which is the way Denji found him in the first chapter of the manga), but nevertheless, once again they are all together to end this battle.

Faced with such a Makima monologue, the Chainsaw Man seems pretty bored, yet Makima quickly orders his Simps to start the operation, in short, to start the fight. We are shown each of the 7 transforming into their respective "devils" and surrounding the Chainsaw Man.

However, the Chainsaw Man is very fast and takes two of the Makima Simps, specifically "Quanxi" and the other "Devil" who seems to use swords and destroys them completely, hitting them in several buildings.

After this behind the Chainsaw Man appears Katana Man, but once again the protagonist showing off his extreme skills and demonstrating to the Katana Man why the manga is called "Chainsaw Man" and not "Katana Man", decapitates him and kills him with great ease. Before a rather strange look from Makima, who says, in a few words, that they are fucked.

And so this chapter ends with some information about the Chainsaw Man but also with a lot of action, gore and blood, the usual and what we like so much about this manga. Now we continue with chapter 88.

Chainsaw Man 88 "Star Chainsaw", starts with a counterattack to the Chainsaw Man by the "devil" who seems to have powers of a revolver, or something similar and causes an explosion under the Chainsaw Man that forces him to jump to another building, and then he is received by another Makima Simp, who seems to have powers of whips, it is a little ambiguous his powers, and attacks the Chainsaw Man, however, surprisingly, Reze appears and takes using the skills of "bomb", the Chainsaw Man to the sky, but once again, the Chainsaw Man showing who really commands, beheads Reze, this moment is a little sad because of the relationship between Denji and Reze, but this is not a time of sentimentality, it is time for blood and action.

Just when the Chainsaw Man decapitates Reze, another of the Makima Simps, who has "spear" powers or something like that, attacks the Chainsaw Man by hitting him with one of his spears, in the same way, Makima takes advantage of the situation and uses the same skill that he used to "kill" Power. He shoots the Chainsaw Man several times, sending him into space. This part made me laugh a lot.

However, logically and as expected, the Chainsaw Man proves once again that he is the boss and he rips out his heart and throws it to the planet Earth, being the one driven to the surface, plummeting and burning on the way.

When he is in a suitable distance, the Chainsaw Man, using the saws of his chainsaws, holds Makima and his three remaining Simps and in one of the most epic images of this manga he destroys them completely, thus ending chapter 88.

I don't know what to say about these chapters, they were spectacular, full of action and with some information that this time serves to theorize certain things, however, I doubt that the battle ends there, it was too easy for the Chainsaw Man, and besides with the mention of the 4 Horsemen, maybe there is still a little more left in this wonderful manga.

  35. Manga Review: Chainsaw Man 86 “Chainsaw Date"@edens2110d

We continue with the madness in Chainsaw Man and it is that the end of this spectacular manga is dazzling more and more, which if we compare it with the previous manga of its author, which is Fire Punch, possibly Chainsaw Man will end approximately near the 100th chapter.

Without further ado, this week's chapter review:

Chainsaw Man 86 "Chainsaw Date", begins just as the last chapter ended, with Kobeni throwing the burger to the Chainsaw Man. And as expected Kobeni starts crying because of his clumsiness, his co-workers get upset about what he did and start yelling at him and quickly the Chainsaw Man kills one of them by cutting off his head. However, Kobeni, in spite of being scared, takes the pieces of hamburger that had fallen on the floor, puts it back together and gives it to the Chainsaw Man. Not caring much that the hamburger had fallen on the floor, the Chainsaw Man eats the hamburger. And in the subconscious of the Chainsaw Man, or rather, in Denji's subconscious, he mentions something that Denji himself said in the first chapter of this manga, which was that he wanted to have a date with some girl. So in a rather funny scene, the Chainsaw Man takes Kobeni with one of his intestines and takes her outside the burger shop to take her on a "date".

These two characters have a "date" which is quite a comical situation, since Kobeni is too scared of such a bizarre and grotesque situation. A demon-hunter appears and prepares to attack the Chainsaw Man, but quickly the Chainsaw Man kills him and we see his body lying on the ground under a pool of blood. Denji/Chainsaw Man continues his "date" with Kobeni and takes her to a dance machine and practically forces Kobeni to dance. And the manga shows us a scene that could only be a product of this mangaka, since they show us a Kobeni dancing, but at the same time crying, a page too funny and bizarre. However, Denji/Chainsaw Man leaves, leaving Kobeni dancing alone. Denji already had the date he wanted, and with this he gives us to understand that Kobeni will be one of the few characters that will not die in this manga.

We change scenes and see the Chainsaw Man sitting on the roof of a building, I suppose waiting for someone's call for help, however, Makima quickly appears, which as I said in the previous chapter, has not died. But besides her, other characters appear completely surrounding the Chainsaw Man, all these characters are at Makima's disposal to attack the Chainsaw Man, however, the strangest thing in the chapter is that there appear characters that supposedly had died, like Quanxi and Reze. These characters are in total control of Makima and Makima orders them to kill the Chainsaw Man, and that's the end of the chapter.

This week's chapter was quite short, very funny and bizarre, but also a start to the end of this manga, as the final battle begins. I estimate that this manga will end in chapter 100 or a close one, I don't think there are many things left to happen. I look forward to the next chapter of this excellent manga.

  36. Manga Review: Chainsaw Man 85 "Bloody Good Gut Feeling"@edens2117d

This has been one of the strangest, but also funniest chapters of this manga, since as always things happened that nobody expected, things very random and very funny. Something that I failed to mention in the previous review is that Makima says that whoever asks the Chainsaw Man for help dies at his hands, so Makima was already prepared so that when Denji/Chainsaw Man came back from hell, he would "kill" her, although we already know that she is practically an immortal being, so "dying" is false. This week the manga is starring the cover of the Shonen Jump and also with two beautiful color pages, this is due to the amount of copies of the manga sold so far, which has already sold more than 3 million volumes, a pretty good figure for a manga.

And without further ado, the chapter review:

Chainsaw Man 85 "Bloody Good Gut Feeling", begins just as the last chapter ended, with Kishibe pointing his gun at Makima, she says that after asking for the Chainsaw Man's help he will come to kill her, so she must prepare herself. After this, we are shown a shocking scene, where the Chainsaw Man cuts the various pieces of Makima's body, before Kishibe's perplexed eyes.

Both Kishibe and the Chainsaw Man look at each other and Denji/Chainsaw Man hears someone calling for help, so he quickly leaves for that place, leaving Kishibe alone with Makima's body dismembered on the floor (although we already know that she will come back to life).

They change the scene and here is where the weird and funny moment of this chapter begins, as they show us Kobeni, who was a colleague of Denji's, who has now resigned and is working in a fast food business, however, due to her personality and little efficiency, she is mistreated by her superiors, at this moment we discover that she is the person who asked for help before. Therefore the Chainsaw Man appears in place to "help" her.

As soon as the Chainsaw Man arrives at the place and begins a massacre, decapitating a person who had been frightened by his appearance. And before everyone's frightened eyes, the Chainsaw Man sits down and "orders" a hamburger (this is the most comical and bizarre part of the chapter). Denji kills a person again, cutting off his head, and the workers of the place, together with Kobeni, start singing, but full of fear, because they know that any mistake they make is death.

The burger Denji/Chainsaw Man ordered is ready and it is Kobeni who has to take it to him, however, she stumbles and makes all the food fall on the Chainsaw Man, so she kills one more person, once again, by cutting off his head. The chapter ends, with Kobeni bringing the food to Denji/Chainsaw Man again and again, he stumbles and once again drops all the food on him.

I don't really know what to think about this chapter, it's too weird and funny, but it's so weird that it looks like an "omake" chapter, those chapters that "are not part" of the original story, but are chapters that are usually comical or curious of the manga itself. I don't know what to expect from the next chapter, I just know that since there are few chapters left to finish this manga, and I'm sure it will have a very strange ending.

  37. Manga Review: Chainsaw Man 84 “The Hero of Hell”@edens2123d

Last week's chapter of Chainsaw Man left us with a rather epic, sad and brutal moment, all at the same time, as we saw Denji totally controlled by Makima, which is later attacked by a group of agents commanded by Kishibe. The agents sacrifice themselves and invoke the "Devil of Hell" to kill Makima. However, when faced with such a massacre, Makima asks Denji for help, and then shows us how a new transformation of the protagonist completely massacres this devil , thus ending the chapter. A chapter that was undoubtedly quite bloody, but also short. And the chapter of this week, maintains the levels of epicity, although with a little more information regarding the Chainsaw Man.

And without further ado, the chapter review:

Chainsaw Man 84 "The Hero of Hell", begins by showing us a survivor of the sacrifice to invoke the Devil of Hell, and this one gives him some of his blood to revive once again, since in the last chapter, Denji destroyed it completely. Later, a door opens in heaven, from which a huge hand emerges and literally pushes Denji/Chainsaw Man to hell itself.

After this, Kishibe is shown before a fully recovered Makima, since in the last chapter she had been riddled with bullets, however, due to her contract with the Prime Minister of Japan, she was able to revive, since this contract consists of any damage she receives being transformed into diseases or any kind of accidents that will be directed to any citizen of Japan, which makes her practically immortal. In addition to being an expert manipulator, she is immortal.

Makima and Kishibe have a conversation, which reveals part of the Chainsaw Man's past, and Makima says she has always been a "fan" of him, because of all he is capable of doing. The Chainsaw Man is considered by Makima as the Hero of Hell.

Because of his brutality, the demons of Hell are afraid of the Chainsaw Man. Over the years he has been involved in the death of hundreds of demons. However, here we are revealed the real reason why the Chainsaw Man is feared, since his ability consists of eliminating from existence every being, thing, thought, practically everything he eats, in such a way that he can eliminate almost anything from existence and thus eliminate its history.

After such a revelation, Makima asks her if she remembers the Nazis, to which he is surprised, he does not know what she is talking about, and it is because thanks to the power of the Chainsaw Man, he was able to eliminate the existence of the Nazis, so only she remembers them. She also tells us things like: World War II, AIDS, nuclear weapons, have already been eliminated from existence.

However, Makima's plans do not end there, because she plans to continue using the power of the Chainsaw Man to create a better world, a world without poverty, death, famine, war, among other things. The chapter ends by showing us Denji/Chainsaw Man arriving from hell with a cascade of blood and guts falling on him.

I've said it before, but Chainsaw Man is an anti-theory manga, it's very difficult to theorize what the author of this manga can do next with his story. And now this new twist of the plot shows, besides how psychotic and manipulative Makima can be, it also shows us that for her, the end justifies the means, since throughout her journey with "creating a better world" she has used, manipulated and sacrificed many people. Makima is undoubtedly one of the best villains/anti-heroes of the manga.

  38. Manga Review: Chainsaw Man 83 "Death, Rebirth, Chainsaw"@edens2132d

After the last chapter of Chainsaw Man, where we saw how Makima psychologically broke Denji, I really don't know what direction this story will take. The author of this manga was able to "easily" eliminate two of the 3 main characters: Aki and Power, being Power the most popular character in this manga. The last chapter showed us a mentally defeated Denji being now totally controlled by Makima. This week's chapter, although it was quite short and there was not much dialogue, was quite intense and full of action.

Now without further ado, the review of chapter:

Chainsaw Man 83 "Death, Rebirth, Chainsaw", begins by showing us Makima getting ready for something, she is getting dressed and cleaning her clothes, and later shows us her and Denji walking down a corridor where the bodies of former Denji´s kin are presented in a rather strange way, some of them are sitting down bowing, while others, of which only some parts of their bodies are left, are on the floor (we even see Power's head on the floor). As they are walking down the aisle, Makima tells Denji, "that they were all always there for Denji and that they are all waiting for the day of his rebirth. But just as he finishes saying that, an explosion hits Makima's building, it turns out to be an attack commanded by Kishibe, who seeks to eliminate Makima.

The special forces manage to enter the building, contact Makima and start shooting at him without any contemplation. At the same time, Kishibe mentions that they must prepare for Makima's counterattack. So 6 characters appear, dressed in suits and while the special forces group is still mowing down Makima, these 6 characters place a knife around their necks to perform a ritual invocation. They cut their throats to invoke the "Devil of Hell".

However, in one of the darkest pages of this chapter, we see Makima totally destroyed by the bullets on the floor and Makima tells Denji: "Help Me, Chainsaw Man". Denji takes the order from Makima and begins to transform.

On the other hand, after the previous sacrifice, the "Devil of Hell" begins to emerge, showing us his form.

But Denji is already prepared for the fight and activates his demon powers. We quickly see how Denji cuts the "Devil of Hell" into several pieces, showing you a new transformation, which looks even more brutal than the previous one.

Actually at this point I think you can no longer theorize about what can happen in this manga, this chapter was quite intense, and this new transformation of Denji besides being visually much more impressive, for the little that was seen in this chapter, Denji is now much faster, since in a matter of seconds he was able to cut the "Devil of Hell" into several pieces. This new transformation looks brutal, he now has 4 arms and each one of them with a chainsaw and has a kind of scarf made by his own intestines (reminded me of Greninja's "scarf" which is made from her own tongue).

  39. Manga Review: Chainsaw Man 82 "Always Eat a Hearty Breakfast"@edens2137d

With this chapter Makima is consecrated as one of the most Machiavellian, manipulative and bloody villains in the whole world of anime/manga. It is amazing how the author of this manga could have created a character that really causes trouble with his actions, and by doing so, shows how well developed and thought-out this character is. This chapter, besides leaving me speechless with its final pages, was a quite revealing chapter, since it not only shows us how manipulative Makima can be (something I had seen before, but in this chapter we can see that facet completely) but also reveals an important fact in Denji's life.

Now without further ado, the review of chapter 82:

Chainsaw Man 82 "Always Eat a Hearty Breakfast", begins just as the last chapter ended and shows us the corpse of "Power" smashed on the floor before the incredulous and totally shocked look of Denji, while Makima as if nothing was happening, invites Denji to drink tea. Once inside the house, we see Denji totally affected psychologically by what he has just seen, however he still does not believe what has just happened, so he asks Makima if he is in a dream. Hearing this, Makima laughs very hard at Denji , asks him to take off his shirt and begins his villain monologue.

**Makima tells Denji, that her mission was to make him happy, to give him a family (Aki and Power being that "family"), house, money, work, food, all kinds of things so that Denji would feel the happiest person, and then she would destroy him whenever she wanted, since she would be the owner of everything that Denji would have, even his own happiness, because she created that illusion for him.**

All this in order to make him pay for his sins. And at this point in the chapter, the greatest revelation of this manga is made, and that is that in the beginning, Denji is presented to us as a child whose father had committed suicide because he had many debts, debts that later Denji would have. However, in this chapter it is revealed to us that after a night when Denji's father was drunk, he wanted to kill his own son, but Denji inevitably had to kill his father in order to survive. Burying this memory in the depths of his subconscious in the form of a door which he himself always warned never to open (or was it Pochita himself who warned him?).

Because of this, Makima completely manipulates Denji, telling him that a person who has done this cannot have a "normal life". In this way, breaking not only sentimentally with Denji, but also psychologically, the chapter ends with the protagonist lying down and totally surrendering to such revelation and manipulation.

Without a doubt one of the hardest chapters of this manga, it reveals part of Denji's past and part of Makima's plan with Denj. However, now the doubt I have is that what does he want to use Denji for now that he has him under his complete control? We know that the demon that Denji has inside him is very strong, however, the prophecy of the demon of the future said that after the death of Aki and Power at the hands of Denji himself, the demon that lives inside the protagonist (i.e. Pochita) would be unleashed. Could it be that "Power" really died? Was the author able to kill his most popular character? With this mangaka things are quite unpredictable.

  40. Manga Review: Chainsaw Man 81 "Give Paw"@edens2144d

This week's chapter of Chainsaw Man is heartbreaking, totally unexpected, and very cruel; the final pages of what was this chapter are among the saddest, most frustrating, and most desperate things. But before talking about Chapter 81 of Chainsaw Man , I will talk a little about Chapter 80, since I did not do its respective review.

Chapter 80 of Chainsaw Man shows us what happened some time after Denji killed Aki. The latter left half of the money saved to Denji and now, Denji and Power moved to another place, since in the shovel between Denji and Aki, their old apartment was destroyed.

Things didn't change that much after Aki's death (or at least the author of this manga doesn't show it as such), however, after Denji went out to buy food, when he was eating an ice cream, he threw it up as he had memories of the fight and Aki's death.

Denji regrets how he is feeling about killing his best friend, but "CASUALLY" Makima appears (with this character nothing is coincidental) and after talking a little, she invites Denji to her house. When they arrive at her house, they are welcomed by Makima's dogs, they keep talking, Denji is happy to be at that moment with Makima (since he likes her from the beginning, but Denji doesn't know how she really is, how powerful, manipulative and bad she really is). After talking a little more, Makima asks Denji what his desire is, and after some thought Denji firmly tells Makima that he wants to be her "dog", that is to say, that she should be the one to control him (very stupid of the protagonist), and so the chapter ends.

Now the review of chapter 81:

Chainsaw Man 81 "Give Paw", starts right where the last chapter ended, with Denji telling Makima that he wants to be his "dog", since he doesn't want to think about Aki's murder anymore and just wants to follow orders. In this chapter we are shown Denji's feelings about Aki's death. After this conversation (since they talked a lot in this chapter), Makima gives orders to Denji comi if he were really a dog, asks him to give him the paw and to roll, and Denji carries out the orders without protest (pathetic). After this, someone knocks on the door of Makima's apartment, Denji asks who it is and she answers that it is Power. Makima orders Denji to open the door, while she tells him that after he opens it, she is going to kill Power.

Denji protests but Makima once again orders him to open it, while his subconscious tells him not to, Denji opens the door and sees Power holding a birthday cake, since the next day would be Denji's birthday. Power looks nervous as Denji opens the door, but surprisingly and heartbreakingly, Makima "kills" Power, completely destroying her under Denji's incredulous and surprised gaze.

I really don't know what to think about this chapter, I have too many mixed feelings, first I am very upset by Denji's attitude, he lets himself be manipulated very easily and although Makima is already known to have the power of the demon of manipulation, with Denji I don't use such power. Although I'm not sure that "Power" is dead, since he is the most popular character in his manga and being a demon, with blood she can recover, although with this author, those who have read his previous mangas, know that he is quite cruel with his characters.

  41. Manga Review: Chainsaw Man 79 "Play Catch"@edens2165d

A few days ago I did a little general review of this manga, that little by little, with each new chapter, is becoming one of my favorite mangas, I hope in the future they will make an adaptation to the anime, because it deserves it, although due to the style that this manga has and with its high dose of violence and gore, I don't think they will make a good adaptation and if they do, I am also very sure that it will have a lot of censorship. Well, let's catch up, since last week's chapter, is one of the saddest that this manga has done.

Let's start the review of Chapter 79 of Chainsaw Man:

Before we start the review, let's put it into context. In past chapters, we saw how Akima was preparing to face the Gun Devil, which was causing a massacre all over Japan, killing thousands of people with its destructive powers. In one of those chapters we were left wondering what happened to that confrontation, as we were moved to another location and shown two of the main characters, Denji and Power.

Makima calls Denji and tells him that the Gun Devil has escaped in one of the bodies that were on the battlefield and that the Gun Devil was right outside the door of the apartment where he lives. Denji, incredulous in the face of such a situation, doubts Makima's words, but in the face of his superior's cold and serious answer Denji tells Power to stay away from there. Denji then cautiously opens the door, thinking that it was his friend Aki who was knocking on the door. When Denji opens the door, it is certainly Aki, but he is possessed by the Gun Devil and later these two friends get ready to fight, to the surprise of Denji and Power, as they do not believe what is really happening.

In chapter 78, the battle continues, Aki, possessed by the Gun Devil, finds himself causing great destruction in the neighborhood where they used to live, but inside his mind, the Gun Devil has him immersed in an illusion that makes him believe that he is playing a snowball battle against Denji, but what is really happening is that in real life, there is a battle in which there is only one way out, death.

Already in the current chapter, 79, is where the battle finally ends with the outcome that the Future Devil (demon with whom Aki had a contract), confirms his prediction. Previously this Future Devil would have told Aki, that Denji was going to kill him and Power. This chapter continues to show us the fight between Denji and Aki, with Denji trying without any result to bring his friend to his senses, but in his mind, Aki still believes that they are playing snowball battles.

Aki, brutally hurts Denji, but thanks to some people who were around, he manages to recover as they give Denji his own blood, so that the protagonist can regain his strength and the parts of his body he had lost. Seeing such an act of will on the part of those people, that's when Denji knew what he really had to do.

Returning once more to the mind and illusion of Aki, the snowball battle still continues, in which these two protagonists look like children, but in this illusion Denji begins to attack Aki, but with tears in his eyes. When Aki finally gives up, from this snowball fight, when he gets up he realizes that Denji is no longer in that place and in that place appears Aki's late brother and tells him that he found in glove and the ball to play baseball, and now these two brothers are preparing to play.

At this point, I expected what would happen, and it was all confirmed when the next page showed Denji cutting through Aki's body with his chainsaws, killing his best friend and fulfilling the prophecy of the Future Devil.

From the beginning, Chainsaw Man is presented as a rather cruel manga, but I didn't expect one of the main characters to die in one of the cruelest ways possible. No doubt this moment is going to enter in the next post of my favorite sad moments of the manga. I'm looking forward to the next chapter.

  42. A manga with a lot of potential: Chainsaw Man@edens2179d

One of the manga that I'm most hooked on right now is Chainsaw Man, a manga created by Tatsuki Fujimoto, mangaka creator of Fire Punch, another manga that I haven't read completely yet, but the few chapters that I've been able to read his previous work, you can see the pattern that and the characteristics that this mangaka uses for his works. Really for the standards that the Shonen Jump has accustomed us, Chainsaw Man breaks all the paradigms that this magazine had accustomed us, being this manga a totally unexpected turn that brings freshness and variety to the typical shonen that we know.

Chainsaw Man focuses on the life of Denji, an orphan who unfortunately owes a lot of money to the mafia, because his father left that debt before he died, so he has been selling body parts and also works as a demon hunter. But as depressing as that might sound, Denji does not show the reader any kind of pity, since despite his situation he remains very positive and eager to continue living. Despite having been orphaned at a very young age, Denji is not completely alone, as at some point in his life he meets a small demon with a chainsaw for a snout, so that Denji uses it as a weapon to defeat other demons, these two being great friends.

But one day things would change when the mobsters to whom Denji owed money attacked them in their house, killing both Denji and Pochita on the spot, but with the little strength the little demon had left, he joined Denji, bringing him back to life and giving him the power of the chainsaw, turning him into half a demon.

In spite of this beginning that for many may sound quite typical, the truth is that this manga is slowly showing that it is nothing that the Shonen Jump has got us used to, showing us a quite violent manga, that is not afraid of killing characters that we thought were important, with a quite characteristic style and a not so conventional way of telling the story. Denji is one of the most "real" characters, so to speak, that we have seen in this magazine, because he has desires that a person could want in real life, so it is easy to identify with him. This manga is not over, so you can't give a 100% opinion yet.

Chainsaw Man is a manga with enough potential, with plot twists and quite tense moments, with a minimalist drawing style, but great and excellent details when needed, which throughout its chapters makes references and tributes, both to other mangas, literary works or even previous works of its creator. Without any doubt it is one of the best new mangas of the Shonen Jump, which I hope it still keeps the strength, the rarity and the extraordinary of its plot along the time, but also that it doesn't ruin it by extending it like other mangas.

As I said before this manga has quite a few references to other manga works, movies or literary works these are some of them, some of them are quite obvious and I could discover them by myself, but others I had to investigate and luckily I found a twitter thread where they list some of these references:

    • Clear reference to the movie Sharknado, considering that on Denji's side, there's a half shark demon.

    • Another reference to one of Berserk's most epic moments

    • This reference is so obvious that it goes without saying that it is a parody.

In this Twitter thread they make a compilation of more references:

As final words, Chainsaw Man is a manga that breaks the paradigms of Shonen Jump, a quite promising manga, original, but also with a quite violent and cruel plot, an excellent manga.
