Jennifer Lopez sure does not know how to pick movie roles. It was like an okay movie, but I watched it at the movies and it was not worth it. It's just a cute movie to stream when you're bored and feel like watching a silly romantic comedy.

Jennifer Lopez plays Cat, a famous singer who is in a very public relationship with another famous singer Bastian (Maluma). When she finds out that he is cheating on her she decides to randomly marry a person from the crowd in her show. She randomly picks Charlie (played by Owen Wilson) who is only there to accompany his daughter Lou (Chloe Coleman). Which is also ironic because in real life Owen Wilson is a shitty father who doesn't want anything to do with his daughter. At first her reckless decision to marry a random person is treated like a publicity stunt and then she decides to give the relationship with Charlie a real chance. And you know how it goes. The main problem of this movie is that Lopez and Wilson has zero chemistry together. They are just such an awkward couple. It was a strange cast choice.

It doesn't help that there is nothing surprising about this movie. Well, the cameos were a bit surprising. You know about Maluma (who has a tiny role in this movie), but there was also a stream of comedians that I didn’t expect that were in this movie. But the plot has zero surprises.

Sometimes a predictable romantic comedy is just what you need. Like a good cup of coffee that you have every day or the romantic books with the same plot, but small variations to it. This movie can also be nice, but just nice. There is no big memorable moment that will stay with you. For better or for worse. But hi, there is a good chance you'll remember the theme song of this movie, so it has that going for it.

Marry Me is a nice predictable romantic comedy that will pleasantly pass the time, but will leave no lasting impression on you.

Muchas veces les he comentado que mi gusto culposo son las películas románticas, bastante básicas, y la verdad hace un tiempo tuve la oportunidad de ver una película que estaba pendiente por mucho tiempo; protagonizada por Jennifer Lopez y Owen Wilson; dos actores que en definitiva tienen trayectoria sobretodo en películas de drama, pero nunca pensé verlos juntos en una cinta.

Marry Me, nos trae la historia de Kat Valdez, una super estrella que estaba comprometida con un cantante, Bastian, ambos se casarían en un concierto televisado. Sin embargo, minutos antes descubre que, su prometido le estaba siendo infiel; es ahí cuando su camino se cruza con Charlie Gilbert, un profesor de matemáticas que termina casado con la estrella.

Al leer la sinopsis de esta película, ya puedes saber lo que va a pasar, es una trama que hemos consumido muchísimas veces, pero, eso es algo que viene implicito de cierta manera, así que lo importante es ver cómo te conquista la historia y los personajes. En esta oportunidad, tengo que decir, que es una película bastante ligera y llena de música, lo cual me gusta, la hace sentir amena y cercana.

Many times I have told you that my guilty pleasure are romantic movies, quite basic, and the truth is that some time ago I had the opportunity to see a movie that was pending for a long time; starring Jennifer Lopez and Owen Wilson; two actors who definitely have experience especially in drama films, but I never thought to see them together in a film.

Marry Me, brings us the story of Kat Valdez, a superstar who was engaged to a singer, Bastian, both would marry in a televised concert. However, minutes before she discovers that her fiancé was being unfaithful; that's when her path crosses with Charlie Gilbert, a math teacher who ends up marrying the star.

When you read the synopsis of this movie, you can already know what is going to happen, it is a plot that we have consumed many times, but, that is something that comes implicit in a certain way, so the important thing is to see how the story and the characters conquer you. In this opportunity, I have to say that it is a very light movie full of music, which I like, it makes it feel pleasant and close.

En cuanto a los personajes, puedo decirles que son lo más cliché del mundo, con el mismo crecimiento por así decirlo de las películas de este tipo de géneros; sin embargo, me gusta como se presenta el personaje de Kat, porque desde un principio puedes entender que es una persona que ha estado corriendo (metaforicamente) por mucho tiempo, y esto hace que empatices con el personaje aunque no seas una super estrella.

De Charlie, solo tengo que decir que es un personaje demasiado cuchi, un papá soltero, comprometido con su trabajo: educar, es casi el hombre perfecto, como les comento es muy cliche pero cuchi. El personaje que si me molesto, fue Bastian interpretado por Maluma, mi molestia fue más allá del personaje, mi molestia es que, sentía que no era un papel que realmente agregará mucho a la trama y la actuación dejo mucho que desear.

Un personaje que era una bocanada de aire fresco fue, Parker Debbs, la amiga más cercana de Charile, un personaje además muy divertido y jocoso. Realmente los personajes de esta película están bastante aceptables.

As for the characters, I can tell you that they are the most cliché in the world, with the same growth so to speak of films of this type of genre; however, I like how Kat's character is presented, because from the beginning you can understand that she is a person who has been running (metaphorically) for a long time, and this makes you empathize with the character even if you are not a superstar.

Of Charlie, I just have to say that he is a character too cuchi, a single dad, committed to his job: educate, is almost the perfect man, as I comment is very cliche but cuchi. The character that really bothered me was Bastian played by Maluma, my annoyance went beyond the character, my annoyance is that I felt that it was not a role that really added much to the plot and the acting left much to be desired.

One character that was a breath of fresh air was, Parker Debbs, Charile's closest friend, a character that was also very funny and jocular. The characters in this movie are actually quite acceptable.

Algo que me gustó muchísimo fue la parte fotografica de la película, porque visualmente es muy atractiva, a pesar de no tener nada realemente extraodinario. La película, apuesta por tener bastantes canciones interpretadas por Jennifer Lopez, me encantaron todas y de vez en cuando las escucho para ambientar.

Debo decirles que lo único que no me gustó aparte del personaje de Bastian, fue el conflicto creado entre Bastian y Charlie, siento que no tuvo mucho sentido y que se pudo haber solucionado con una plática sencilla. Sin embargo, tampoco puedo quejarme demasiado porque la solución a este conflicto porque fue demasiado gracioso, literal me sacó muchas risas.

Marry Me, es una película bastante básica, pero, es demasiado entretenida y ligera, es de esas película que puedes ver mientras haces otras cosas, de hecho yo me vi esta película en la cola de la gasolina jajajaja, realmente la recomendaría, si buscas algo con lo que distraerte. Además, puedo asegurarte que te sacará un suspiro por su romance y una sonrisa por su música.

Something that I really liked was the photography part of the movie, because visually it is very attractive, even though it doesn't have anything really extraordinary. The movie, bet for having a lot of songs performed by Jennifer Lopez, I loved them all and from time to time I listen to them to set the mood.

I must tell you that the only thing I didn't like, apart from Bastian's character, was the conflict created between Bastian and Charlie, I feel it didn't make much sense and could have been solved with a simple talk. However, I can't complain too much either because the solution to this conflict because it was too funny, it literally got a lot of laughs out of me.

Marry Me, is a pretty basic movie, but, it's too entertaining and light, it's one of those movies that you can watch while doing other things, in fact I watched this movie in the gas line hahahaha, I would really recommend it, if you are looking for something to distract yourself with. Also, I can assure you that it will make you sigh because of its romance and smile because of its music.

Si te dieran la oportunidad de tener el estilo de vida de algún artista, ¿Serías feliz?/If you were given the opportunity to have the lifestyle of an artist, would you be happy? 🙂💍🙃

Dentro de nuestros sueños guajiros, sin duda se encuentra el desear tener algún estilo de vida de cualquier artista famoso para lograr tener todo lo que queremos sin algún limite económico, poder reunirnos con otras figuras públicas, comer en los mejores restaurantes, contar con tu propio club de fans, estar en las primeras filas de cualquier evento por tener algún contacto o influencia importante, tener tu marca de ropa, una super mansión con todas las comodidades, autos de lujo y tener una quincena de al menos cinco cifras para no preocuparte por cubrir tus gastos... ¿Que tan cierto es que las personas sean absolutamente felices al tener todo lo de la lista y mucho más?, a ciencia cierta si buscamos que algún famoso nos confiese su verdadero sentir ante su estilo de vida sin que éste se siente juzgado, podríamos encontrar confesiones muy interesantes para desenmascarar dicho mundo, cosa que han buscado realizar algunos reality show pero terminan por "sobre actuando toda su vida" y eso le resta seriedad.

Among our dreams, there is no doubt that we wish to have the lifestyle of any famous artist to have everything we want without any economic limit, to be able to meet with other public figures, eat in the best restaurants, have your own fan club, be in the front rows of any event for having some important contact or influence, have your own clothing brand, a super mansion with all the comforts, luxury cars and have a salary of at least five figures to not worry about covering your expenses .... How true is it that people are absolutely happy to have everything on the list and much more, for sure if we look for a celebrity to confess their true feelings about their lifestyle without feeling judged, we could find very interesting confessions to unmask that world, something that some reality shows have tried to do but they end up "over acting their whole life" and that takes away its seriousness.

Hoy les hablaré de una de las mejores películas donde resalta mejor la actuación de Jennifer Lopez: "Casate conmigo"; donde nuestra protagonista quien representa ser una figura famosa, busca formar un lazo de amor verdadero y fomentar un matrimonio que sea compatible con lo que considera su concepto de contar con una pareja para toda la ETERNIDAD, pero el ser una persona famosa, ¿te hace mas exigente o o mas conformista con el cumplimientos de tus sueños?. Esa pregunta se mantendrá latente durante too el desarrollo de la historia, ya que es demasiado obvio que a una figura de Hollywood no se le puede negar nada y todo se sirve en charola de ORO, o eso es lo que se espera.

Today I will talk about one of the best movies where Jennifer Lopez's performance stands out: "Marry me"; where our protagonist who represents a famous figure, seeks to form a true love bond and promote a marriage that is compatible with what she considers her concept of having a partner for ETERNITY, but being a famous person, does it make you more demanding or more conformist with the fulfillment of your dreams? Esta película muestra como el artista busca el intercambio de tener una pareja famosa con alguien que lleva una vida rutinaria y fuera de los reflectores, dejándose llevar que esta es una buena idea para practicar la venganza y dar una cucharada del propio chocolate ante las personas que la han traicionado, sin considerar que su plan termina dando una vuelta de 360 grados y despojarla de lo que ella conocía para encontrar su humildad que había perdido. Mensaje que da mucho sentido al darnos cuenta que al final cualquier artista busca de nuevo tener un día de privacidad y sentirse como alguien común y corriente para tener "una libertad de ser ellos mismos", por lo que la fama tiene su propio precio y sacrificio.

This film shows how the artist seeks the exchange of having a famous partner with someone who leads a routine life and out of the spotlight, getting carried away that this is a good idea to practice revenge and give a spoonful of her own chocolate to the people who have betrayed her, without considering that her plan ends up taking a 360 degree turn and stripping her of what she knew to find her humility that she had lost. Message that makes a lot of sense to realize that in the end any artist seeks again to have a day of privacy and feel like someone ordinary to have "a freedom to be themselves", so that fame has its own price and sacrifice.

Podría ser una historia con momentos de romance intenso pero dejando de lado ese aspecto, la película se podría interpretar como un pequeño recorrido de la mente de algún famoso, como ellos sienten, piensan y actúan para lidiar con el peso que cargan de su vida pública y el desafío de construir una vida privada que le ayuden a mantener los pies pegados al suelo, evitando que se contaminen y terminen siendo un molde vacío que sea fácil de manejar. It could be a story with moments of intense romance but leaving aside that aspect, the film could be interpreted as a small tour of the mind of some famous people, how they feel, think and act to deal with the weight they carry from their public life and the challenge of building a private life that will help them keep their feet glued to the ground, avoiding them to be contaminated and end up being an empty mold that is easy to handle. Hello everyone... What is the dream of every little boy or girl? To marry your favorite artist or at least a famous person with a lot of money, that's what I thought when I was a kid watching Elizabeth Woolridge Grant of Lana del Rey, but, although many times my dream was frustrated haha, at least we have movies where these things do happen.
Hola a todos... ¿Cuál es el sueño de todo niño o niña? Pue casarse con su artista favorito o al menos con un famoso con mucho dinero, eso era lo que yo pensaba de pequeño al ver a Elizabeth Woolridge Grant del Lana del Rey, pero, aunque muchas veces mi sueño se vio frustrado jaja, por lo menos tenemos las películas donde estas cosas si suceden.

And the movie I will talk about today is about this, about how the life of an ordinary man who teaches mathematics in a school changes when suddenly JLo falls in love with him, and the plot presents us with love, heartbreak, regret and a lot of comedy. In short, it is a movie full of emotions that can catch you. Y de la película que les hablare hoy se trata de esto, de cómo cambia la vida de un hombre común y corriente que da clases de matemáticas en una escuela, cuando de repente JLo se enamora de él, además la trama nos presenta amor, desamor, arrepentimiento y mucha comedia. En fin, es una película cargada de muchas emociones que pueden atraparte. Yo luego de verla tuve una opinión diversa, ya que obviamente tiene algunos detalles que hacen que la película sea mala, pero si miramos las otras cosas graciosas que tiene veremos que es una película que si le recomendarías a alguien o que verías una vez más. Por eso hablare de las cosas que me gustaron y de las que no me gustaron, empecemos:

A very famous artist plans to marry another very famous artist in a concert in front of the fans, but just before saying yes, she discovers that the singer has been unfaithful, and decides to marry someone totally random from the audience, who happens to be an ordinary guy who suddenly sees how his life changes after agreeing to marry this singer. From then on he will develop feelings and experiences that will make him fall in love for real, but will it all end well?
Una artista muy famosa planea casarse con otro artista muy famoso en un concierto frente a los fans, pero como justo antes de decir el acepto, descubre que el cantante la ha sido infiel, y decide casarse con alguien totalmente al azar del público, que resulta ser un tipo común y corriente que ve de repente como su vida cambia luego de aceptar casarse con esta cantante. De allí en adelante ira desarrollando sentimientos y vivencias que lo harán enamorarse de verdad ¿pero terminara todo bien?

Charismatic characters and great acting: This is the first thing you can see when you watch the trailer or the first minutes of the movie, since among what I could recognize are: Samwell Tarly from The Tarly House of Horn Hill, there is also Owen Wilson who since I can remember has always made good comedy movies, the Disney girl Chloe Coleman and obviously Jenifer Lopez, although Juan Luis Londoño Arias also appears honestly I consider that his performance does not add any value to the movie, since he is a simple egocentric singer who acted in the movie to promote his songs. And although he is part of the main cast, the plot does not revolve around him, as he appears at times.
Protagonistas con carisma y gran actuación: Esta es la primera cosa que puedes ver cuando miras el tráiler o los primeros minutos de la película, ya que de entre lo que pude reconocer están: Samwell Tarly de La Casa Tarly de Colina Cuerno, esta también Owen Wilson que desde que tengo memoria siempre ha hecho buenas películas de comedia, la niña Disney Chloe Coleman y obviamente Jenifer López, aunque también aparece Juan Luis Londoño Arias de manera honesta considero que su actuación no agrega ningún valor a la película, ya que es un simple cantante egocéntrico que actuó en la película para promocionar sus canciones. Y aunque es parte del elenco principal, la trama no gira en torno a él, ya que aparece por momentos.

Trama muy realista: La película presenta como cambia la vida de una persona acostumbrada a llevar las cosas con calma, evitar por completo celulares y redes sociales y hacer todo de forma monótona, cuando Owen Wilson acepta casarse con JLo tiene que adaptarse a la vida de un celebridad, y aunque eso pudiera volver muy egocéntrico a alguien, el personaje de Owen Wilson se mantiene con los pies en la tierra y no trata de ser algo que no es, y además ayuda a JLo a ser más normal, así que hay un equilibrio entre ellos dos.

A good ending: This is something that I really liked to see, because commonly series or movies have a disappointing or very trite ending, but Marry Me presents it very well, plus the details of the stories in the credits make it look like it was a story that happened in real life, so I really liked it, I can also say that the beginning of the movie is good and interesting, although I am not one of those who watch romantic comedies, from the beginning it caught me and I could not stop watching.
Un buen final: Esto es algo que me agrado mucho de ver, ya que comúnmente las series o películas tienen un final decepcionante o muy trillado, pero Marry Me lo presenta muy bien, además los detalles de las historias en los créditos hacen ver como si fuera una historia que paso en la vida real, así que me gustó mucho, también puedo decir que el comienzo de la película es bueno e interesante, aunque no soy de los que ve comedias románticas, desde el comienzo me atrapo y no podía dejar de ver.

Now let's talk about what I didn't like:

Ahora hablemos de lo que no me gusto:

The Maluma factor: It's true that this is the singer's first appearance on the big screen and according to his own words it would be the beginning of something bigger, but honestly he will have to make a bigger effort than he does in his YouTube videos, since in all the scenes he appears his acting is very forced, lousy or very poor. Also, I think her performance in this movie was only to try to promote more of her songs in the Anglo market.
El factor Maluma: Es cierto que es la primera aparición del cantante en la pantalla grande y que segun sus propias palabras sería el inicio de algo más grande, pero honestamente tendrá que hacer un mayor esfuerzo del que hace en sus videos para YouTube, ya que en todas las escenas que sale su actuación es muy forzada, pésima o muy pobre. Además, pienso que su actuación en esta película fue únicamente para tratar de promocionar más sus canciones en el mercado anglo.

Moments where the plot loses its sense: Even though I try to speak highly of the plot, there are moments where you are left at WTH? For example, when JLo discovers that Maluma is cheating on her, is that an extremely WTH moment, knowing how Maluma is and that any woman would hit on him, he cheats on JLo with the assistant, an actress who in the movie is horrible in looks and personality, which makes no sense at all.
Momentos donde la trama pierde el sentido: ¿Aunque trate de hablar muy bien de la trama, si existen momentos en los que te quedas en WTH? Por ejemplo, cuando JLo descubre que Maluma la engaña, ¿ese es un momento sumamente WTH? ya que sabiendo como es Maluma y que cualquier mujer se le insinuaría, el engaña a JLo con la asistente, una actriz que en la película es horrible de aspecto y personalidad, lo cual no tiene ningún sentido.

Another moment in the plot that makes no sense at all, is when Maluma and JLo have to sing a song they composed for their wedding, since it was awarded, but out of nowhere Owen Wilson gets mad at JLo since he makes her see her insecurities and wants her to go with Maluma, but what makes no sense is that JLo didn't want to sing that song with Maluma and it was Owen who forced her in the first place.
Otro momento en la trama que no tiene sentido alguno, es cuando Maluma y JLo tienen que cantar una canción que compusieron para su boda, ya que fue premiada, pero de la nada Owen Wilson se molesta con JLo ya que le hace ver sus inseguridades y quiere que se vaya con Maluma, pero lo que no tiene sentido es que JLo no quería cantar esa canción con Maluma y fue Owen quien la obligo en primer lugar.

But out of those things Marry Me is a very cool movie, it transports you to a reality that we all wanted as kids or teenagers, and it also teaches you that true love breaks any paradigm and barrier and as they show it also in Purple Hearts, two people accepting such a sacred commitment as marriage, they can get to love each other so much, even if at first they are strangers. So I will give this movie a 7/10, although all over the internet you will find reviews with a score of 6/10 or 5/10. I feel it deserves the 7 for many things, but the main thing for entertaining in this 2022 with an excellent romantic comedy.
Pero fuera de esas cosas Marry me es una película muy genial, te transporta a una realidad que todos quisimos de niño o adolescentes, y además te enseña que el amor verdadero rompe cualquier paradigma y barrera y como lo muestran también en Purple Hearts, el que dos personas acepten un compromiso tan sagrado como es el matrimonio, pueden llegar a amarse tanto, aunque al principio sean desconocidos. Así que a esta película le daré un 7/10, aunque en todo el internet encontraras críticas con un puntaje de 6/10 o 5/10. Siento que merece el 7 por muchas cosas, pero lo principal por entretener en este 2022 con una excelente comedia romántica.

Sometimes there are movies that we don’t even have the intentions to see them, that happened to me with the movie that I will talk about today, it is Marry Me, it was released in February of this year and I heard a lot about Maluma’s participation in the movie, that was what made me not want to see it, since I am not a fan of this singer and if I usually think he is over acted I didn’t want to imagine him in a movie.

My expectations were very low, I think that made me enjoy it 100% because I was seeing all the good things without caring about the bad things. Remember that I am not a movie expert, just a woman who loves to watch movies of all kinds so my opinion about this movie is merely based on the entertainment it gave me.

En ocasiones hay películas a las que no tenemos ni las intenciones de verlas, eso me pasó con la película de la que les hablaré hoy, se trata de Marry Me, se estreno en febrero de este año y escuche mucho sobre la participación de Maluma en la película, eso era lo que hacía que no quisiera verla, ya que no soy fanática de este cantante y si generalmente me parece sobre actuado pues no me quería imaginar en una película.

Mis expectativas eran muy bajas, creo que eso hizo que la disfrutará al 100% ya que iba viendo todo lo bueno sin impórtame lo malo. Recuerden que no soy una experta en cine, solo una mujer a quien le encanta ver películas de todo tipo así que mi opinión sobre esta película es meramente basada en el entretenimiento que me brindó.

Plot / Trama

Kat Valdez (Jennifer Lopez) and Bastian (Maluma) are two famous singers in love who are getting married in front of millions of people, minutes before the ceremony Kat finds out that Bastian has been unfaithful with his assistant. In shock and not knowing what to do or say in front of so many people, she decides to marry a stranger holding a sign with the name of her hit song Marry Me.

This guy is Charlie Gilbert (Owen Wilson), a math teacher who is actually at the concert almost forced by her best friend Parker and her daughter Lou. A man who is totally unaware of show business and social networks.

This is a story that we have been told in many movies, a romantic tale between a famous, important and millionaire person falling in love with another person who is just the opposite, but who is intelligent and a good person. They all have that in common. For women who watch movies of this genre with the intention of sighing, this is a very good movie. Of course, thinking about it, it’s unlikely that something like this would happen, let alone that a celebrity would choose from the audience who will be his or her husband or wife. But, apart from how impossible this situation would be, I mean the way the protagonists meet and get married, everything else is fine for me.

Esta es una historia que nos han contado en muchísimas películas, un cuento romántico entre una persona famosa, importante y millonaria enamorándose de otra todo lo contrario pero que es inteligente y buena persona. Todas tienen eso en común. Para las mujeres que vemos películas de este género con la intensión de suspirar, esta es muy buena película. Claro, pensándolo muy bien es inverosímil que algo como esto pase y menos que un famoso escoja entre el público a quien será su esposo o esposa. Pero, sacando lo imposible que sería esta situación, quiero decir, la manera que los protagonistas se conocen y se casan, todo lo demás para mí, esta bien.

What can I say about Jennifer Lopez, she is a star in all her splendor, she looks beautiful. I loved watching her singing, dancing and acting. I have seen her in many movies of this genre and I loved it. Already in Sueño de Amor (2002) a movie with this same plot she had stayed with the leading man. Her character is a person who doesn’t give up, she always bets on love no matter how many times it doesn’t work out, she trusts and believes in finding a person who values what she can offer. As always, she transmits these feelings on screen and she does it excellently.

Que puedo decir de Jennifer López, ella es una estrella en todo su esplendor, se ve hermosa. Me encantó verla cantando, bailando y actuando. La he visto en muchas películas de este género y me ha encantado. Ya en Sueño de Amor (2002) una película con esta misma trama se había quedado con el galán. Su personaje es una persona que no se rinde, siempre apuesta al amor sin importar cuántas veces no resulte, ella confía y cree en encontrar una persona que valore lo que puede ofrecer. Como siempre, transmite estos sentimientos en pantalla y lo hace excelentemente.

Owen Wilson in his character of Charlie, is a serious man who could become boring and unimagined to marry the most famous star of the moment. Although at first his character had no strength and was just going through the motions, he gradually took shape. I really liked his performance and the fact that he wasn’t a fan of the artist as you could see in his expression that he treated her like anyone else. What’s more, I feel that I felt a little pity for her for how she was leading her life.

Owen Wilson en su personaje de Charlie, es un hombre serio que podría llegar a ser aburrido y que sin imaginarse se casará con la estrella más famosa de momento. Aunque al principio su personaje no tenía fuerza y sólo se dejaba llevar, poco a poco fue tomando forma. Me gustó mucho su actuación y el hecho que no fuera un fanático de la artista ya que se veía en su expresión que la trataba como a cualquier otra persona. Es más, siento que sentía un poco de pena ajena de como ella llevaba su vida.

I loved the chemistry of the main characters, I understand they have a nice friendship in real life, that would help to convey feelings and trust between the characters. In the movie I saw scenes that I compared to others in other movies with the same plot, like when Kat uses the blender to make a smoothie it was like seeing Edward Lewis from Pretty Woman walking barefoot on the lawn. I got so into the story that at the end I even imagined what their life together would be like, in a home, without assistants and without excess of social networks 🤭.

Me encantó la química de los protagonistas, tengo entendido que tienen una linda amistad en la vida real, eso ayudaría a transmitir sentimientos y la confianza entre los personajes. En la película vi escenas que comparé con otras en otras películas con la misma trama, como cuando Kat usa la licuadora para hacer un batido fue como ver a Edward Lewis de Mujer bonita caminando descalzo en el césped. Me metí tanto en la historia que al final me imagine hasta como sería su vida juntos, en un hogar, sin asistentes y sin exceso de redes sociales 🤭

It is not a movie like others I have written about, that leave you with a message or at least that leave me with a learning experience. No, nothing to see, I only saw it with the intention of having a good time and being entertained. If that’s what you’re looking for, this movie is a very good option and you’ll be enjoying two excellent artists like JL and Owen Wilson.

To conclude I’m glad I gave this production a chance because I really enjoyed it, I will surely watch it again at some point because I loved the music, the photography and even the costumes 😁.

You may find the plot a bit clichéd, but with the outstanding performance of the character actors, the film is quite entertaining and keeps the time flowing fast. One of the best Jennifer Lopez films I've seen may be Marry Me. Maybe the best! I'm far from making a correct comparison because I can't remember all her other films right now! But it is a romantic comedy that can be watched with the family and has a warm, humane approach.

At a time when your options are narrowed or when you are looking for scenes close to reality, you can watch the Marry Me film and enjoy pleasant moments. The music in the film is great and gives a versatile viewing / listening option. A love film can suddenly turn into a love clip.

I'm finding it fun to see movies so I could make a good selection and share reviews on them because most of them are worth seeing by many. Movies sure do have a way of making it's audience feel like they're in it, I've seen a lot that made me feel that way (but I'm never free to change a storyline I would have love to though lol)

I recently saw another movie that I believe every person should see and confirm that "Nothing is impossible, there's hope and hope is romantic" I actually got that from a preview of the movie I'm about to share a review on. Hope being romantic is a new thing I learned from the movie and I'd say it makes a lot of sense after seeing the movie.

Marry Me, a 2022 movie (New release) and guess what! It was released on February 11th... Are you thinking what I'm thinking? Lol. Cinemas on valentine's day would be all about Marry Me movie. Well, I didn't see the movie then but I'm one of those who have seen it and has a good review on it.

Synopsis

The movie is about a star musician who is the talk of the city, majorly about her music and her wedding with another star musician. They seem to love each other so much, it was all over the lady's face (Not the guy's face or maybe I missed that one out).

The beginning of the movie started off with the wedding preparations, I always have a thought of heart breaks before the main day and it did happen on this one like I expected.

The wedding day did come without any issue but few minutes to making her vow, the lady musician found out about her fiance affair with her personal secretary... What a shame!

The movie is also about a divorced father who loves his daughter so much and loved a boring life as a maths teacher. In an attempt to prove to his daughter that he wasn't a boring father, he agreed to go to a wedding/music concert with his daughter and best friend.

That concert changed his life totally. Well, the wedding with the musician didn't happen but the wedding happened, with who? You'll get to find that out real soon, I don't think I can hold it in for too long... haha

The Main Characters Of The Movie

Kat Valdez, the main lead and my favourite in the movie (not because she's the lead though) she is a musician who wrote so many songs including the one titled "Marry me" for her upcoming wedding with the love of her life, Bastian.

She is a beautiful and strong woman who needed to be loved after going through three divorced marriages, she never seem to lose faith in love even when she got heart broken by the fourth one.

She married a stranger from the crowd that came to watch her wedding with Bastian and she later fell in love with him. Her life changed after meeting the math teacher she married randomly.

Kat Valdez is starred by the American famous singer, dancer and actress Jennifer Lopez, a 52 years old woman who have also starred in other movies.

Charlie Gilbert, is a math teacher and a divorced father to a little but very smart girl who only wish for a more interesting life with her father. Charlie loved his daughter so much and always wanted her to join the maths club because of how good she is.

His life took a great turn when he went to a concert with his daughter and best friend to prove not being a boring father. Something led to another, he held a "marry me" sign board in his hands that led him to marrying the star musician, Kat Valdez.

He got married and had to live a more interesting life, as his daughter had always wanted. Later fell in love and things turn around again.

Charlie Gilbert is starred by Owen Wilson, a 53 years old American actor who have written and starred in movies.

Bastian, a Colombian singer and fiance to Kat Valdez. He had dated the beautiful musician for more than a year and they decided to take a vow on it after her release of "Marry Me" song.

He cheated on his fiancee by making out with her personal assistant but didn't think it would go viral. At the wedding concert, he found out about his infidelity and watched his fiancee get married to a random albino (as he always referred to Charlie Gilbert in the movie).

Bastian is starred by Maluma, a 28 years old Colombian singer who have been a singer from a very young age and recorded songs at the age of sixteen.

Lou Gilbert, the beautiful, smart but a bit too much daughter of Charlie Gilbert. She is said to be a very good math solver but didn't want to be like her father so she shied away from it.

She took interest in math again after her father life got more interesting than she had expected with the popular singer, Kat Valdez. Her fear of the audience during maths competition got interesting too, thanks to her new friend Kat.

Lou is starred by Chloe Coleman, a 13 years old American model, actress, TV shows personality and many more. She also starred in "My Spy" another movie that she did really well on.

My Opinion On The Movie

The wedding surprise/turn out event

Anyone would have just walked away from the crowd waiting to see the wedding but Kat Valdez didn't. Instead, she married a stranger (Charlie Gilbert) from the crowd at that moment. Who does that?! I was super surprised by the turn out of things at this point.

It seemed actually an impossible thing to happen in real life but I guess it can still happen considering the fact that the lady was in a very bad state of mind... She made a crazy decision out of a broken heart.

The musical aspect

The genre of the movie are romance, comedy and music. You'll have to see the movie to get a fill of each genre in the movie but I most especially love the music genre of this movie. The lead character sang up to five amazing songs in the movie.

Marry Me - The movie's theme music Church - Before the wedding Love of my life - When she started falling in love with the stranger After love - Confirming her love for Charlie at the school prom On my way - My favourite and the song she wrote specially for Charlie (So romantic).

I also love the ending remark of the movie where couples talked about how they met their partners, turns out there are way more crazier ways to meet one's love of their life than what happened in Marry Me.

I'll give the movie 9/10, but maybe you might give it a lower or a complete high rating depending on what you got from the movie but I must commend the actors of this movie, they played their part well.

Me resulta divertido ver películas para poder hacer una buena selección y compartir reseñas sobre ellas porque la mayoría de ellas valen la pena para muchos. Las películas ciertamente tienen una forma de hacer que su audiencia se sienta como si estuvieran en ellas, he visto muchas que me hicieron sentir de esa manera (pero nunca soy libre de cambiar una historia que me encantaría aunque lol)

Hace poco vi otra película que creo que todas las personas deberían ver y confirmar que "Nada es imposible, hay esperanza y la esperanza es romántica". De hecho, obtuve eso de una vista previa de la película sobre la que estoy a punto de compartir una reseña. Espero que ser romántico sea algo nuevo que aprendiste de la película y diría que tiene mucho sentido después de ver la película.

Cásate conmigo, una película de 2022 (Nuevo lanzamiento) y ¡adivinen qué! Fue lanzado el 11 de febrero... ¿Estás pensando lo que estoy pensando? Jajaja. Los cines en el día de San Valentín se centrarían en la película Marry Me. Bueno, no vi la película entonces, pero soy uno de los que la han visto y tienen una buena crítica.

Sinopsis

La película trata sobre una estrella de la música que es la comidilla de la ciudad, principalmente sobre su música y su boda con otra estrella de la música. Parece que se aman tanto, que todo estaba en la cara de la dama (no en la cara del chico o tal vez me la perdí).

El comienzo de la película comenzó con los preparativos de la boda, siempre pienso en corazones rotos antes del día principal y sucedió en este como esperaba.

El día de la boda llegó sin problemas pero a los pocos minutos de hacer su voto, la dama músico se enteró de su romance con su secretaria personal... ¡Qué vergüenza!

La película también trata sobre un padre divorciado que ama tanto a su hija y amaba una vida aburrida como profesor de matemáticas. En un intento por demostrarle a su hija que no era un padre aburrido, accedió a ir a una boda/concierto de música con su hija y su mejor amiga.

Ese concierto cambió su vida por completo. Bueno, la boda con el músico no pasó pero la boda pasó, ¿con quién? Lo descubrirás muy pronto, no creo que pueda contenerlo por mucho tiempo... jaja

Los personajes principales de la película

Kat Valdez, la protagonista principal y mi favorita en la película (aunque no porque sea la protagonista), es una música que escribió muchas canciones, incluida la titulada "Cásate conmigo" para su próxima boda con el amor de su vida, Bastian.

Ella es una mujer hermosa y fuerte que necesitaba ser amada después de pasar por tres matrimonios divorciados, nunca parece perder la fe en el amor, incluso cuando el cuarto le rompió el corazón.

Se casó con un extraño de la multitud que vino a ver su boda con Bastian y luego se enamoró de él. Su vida cambió después de conocer al profesor de matemáticas con el que se casó por casualidad.

Mi opinión sobre la película

La boda sorpresa/evento de salida

Cualquiera se habría alejado de la multitud que esperaba para ver la boda, pero Kat Valdez no lo hizo. En cambio, se casó con un extraño (Charlie Gilbert) de la multitud en ese momento. ¿Quién hace eso? Estaba súper sorprendido por el resultado de las cosas en este punto.

En realidad, parecía algo imposible de suceder en la vida real, pero supongo que aún puede suceder considerando el hecho de que la dama estaba en un estado mental muy malo... Tomó una decisión loca con el corazón roto.

El aspecto musical

Los géneros de la película son romance, comedia y música. Tendrás que ver la película para conocer cada género de la película, pero me encanta especialmente el género musical de esta película. El personaje principal cantó hasta cinco canciones increíbles en la película.

Marry Me - El tema musical de la película. Iglesia - Antes de la boda Amor de mi vida - Cuando empezó a enamorarse del extraño After love - Confirmando su amor por Charlie en el baile de graduación de la escuela On my way - Mi favorita y la canción que escribió especialmente para Charlie (Tan romántico).

También me encanta el comentario final de la película donde las parejas hablan sobre cómo conocieron a sus parejas, resulta que hay formas mucho más locas de conocer al amor de su vida que lo que sucedió en Marry Me.

Le daré a la película 9/10, pero tal vez le den una calificación más baja o completamente alta dependiendo de lo que hayan obtenido de la película, pero debo felicitar a los actores de esta película, hicieron bien su papel.

Y eso es todo por esta película, les recomiendo que la vean pronto si no lo han hecho y me lo agradezcan después.

Greetings friends, today I want to share with you my opinion about a movie I saw recently, I had more than 2 years without going to the movies, even before the pandemic I had some months without being able to go, so I wanted it to be great and the truth is that no, it was not, at least not for the movie.

The truth is that I am not one to watch this kind of movies and I remembered why, but some very dear friends invited us, and living so far away we could only enter the theater at a specific time, and to our luck, that was the only movie available at that time, and although none of us said how bad it was and we focused on the good company and all that, I must tell you that I did not like that movie at all.

Marry me, is a movie that came out this same year, and with telling you that the theater was practically empty I say everything, because for me it was a pretty predictable movie and although it was supposed to be a romantic comedy, the truth is that the dialogues that were supposed to be funny, were not so funny and seemed a little forced for my taste.

Saludos amigos, hoy quiero compartir con ustedes mi opinión sobre una película que vi recientemente, les cuento Que tenía más de 2 años sin ir al cine, pues incluso antes de la pandemia tenía algunos meses sin poder ir, entonces quería que volver fuera genial y la verdad es que no, no lo fue, al menos no por la película.

La verdad es que no soy de ver este tipo de películas y recordé por qué, pero unos muy queridos amigos nos invitaron, y al vivir tan lejos solo podíamos entrar a la sala a una hora específica, y para nuestra suerte, esa era la única película disponible a esa hora, y aunque ninguno dijo lo mala que fue y nos centramos en la buena compañía y todo eso, debo contarles que no me gustó para nada esa película.

Marry me, es una película que salió este mismo año, y con decirles que la sala de cine estaba prácticamente vacía digo todo, pues se trató para mi de una película bastante predecible y aunque se suponía que era una comedia romántica, la verdad es que los diálogos que se suponía que debían ser divertidos, no lo fueron tantos y parecían un poco forzados para mí gusto.

La película cuenta con la actuación de Jenifer López, Owen Wilson y Maluma, no se sí está sea una buena combinación, según sé es la primera vez que este cantante de regueton actúa, pero no me crean, pues no estoy segura de eso, si me permiten decirlo no me gustó su actuación, se veía muy... No lo sé, no era del todo natural, además de que el doblaje no le favorecía mucho.

La película cuenta la historia de una muy per muy famosa cantante de pop, que como todo famoso, muestra su vida en las redes, entre esas cosas su relación amorosa, que es con otro famoso, pasan muchas cosas y la relación tiene algunos problemas, así que en un momento de desesperación, nuestra protagonista se atreve a hacer algo que nunca habría hecho ningún artista, arriesgándose a perder fama o a ser quemada en las redes.

I know there are many people who enjoyed watching it and I'm sure they had a lot of fun, but in my case the truth is that not so much, it's not my kind of movie and I did not like the performances. Even so, I did get something out of it, because I paid attention, because I couldn't miss that movie ticket.

Esta decisión la lleva a encontrarse con un hombre totalmente diferente a ella, super común, de pocos amigos y que no sabe nada sobre tecnología y mucho menos redes, de este encuentro surge una bonita amistad, y juntos logran aprender cosas nuevas, lo que le da un toque bueno a la película, que lograr captar nuestra atención en algunos momentos de la misma.

Se que hay muchas personas que disfrutaron verla y seguro les divirtió muchísimo, pero en mi caso la verdad es que no tanto, no es mi tipo de película y no me agradaron mucho las actuaciones. Aún así si me quedó algo de ella, porque presté atención, pues no podía perder esa entrada al cine.

La película quiso tratar un tema importante dentro de todo, y es que no siempre las personas se reponen por completo luego de un divorcio, y es muy difícil sobretodo cuando hay hijos de por medio, tener que ver como tu hijo prefiere estar con otra persona, en este caso la pareja de tu ex que contigo, debe ser lo más triste del mundo, y también frustrante no lograr que quiera de corazón pasar tiempo contigo.

También nos muestra que con algo de esfuerzo una persona puede demostrar que se preocupa por otra, al darle atención a sus intereses y de vez en cuando ceder, con el fin de que la pase bien también con nosotros, ceder es una de las muestras más reales de amor, y cuando un papá se esfuerza por hacerlo en ocasiones, sin duda no pasa desapercibido.

Otra cosa que nos deja es que el amor puede surgir en cualquier parte y en ocasiones puede desarrollarse por la persona que menos pensamos, claro, para mantenerlo hay muchas cosas que debemos hacer, una de ellas demostrar nuestro interés sincero y en la película podemos ver un poco de esto, y en Cómo el amor puede más que muchas cosas, incluso miedos e inseguridades.

First, Happy Valentine's Day everyone!

I watched the movie Marry Me (2022) yesterday and believe me, it had nothing to do with February 14th but more to do with the main character, Jennifer Lopez! She's one of my Hollywood crushes. I love to watch her movies and this one is not an exception.

Marry Me (2022) is a romantic comedy directed by Kat Coiro and an adaptation of Bobby Crosby’s graphic novel of the same name.

Being a romantic comedy movie, every viewer is on the edge of their seats hoping to watch the same old story of a man meets a lady, they fall in love, he proposes and they end up together. Marry Me is a rom-com with a bit of difference.

Imagine being a pop star, having everything money can buy including a handsome, pop star fiance and on the wedding day discover the fiancé had cheated. This was the life of Kat Valdez, aka Jennifer Lopez.

In this movie, viewers are faced with the lifestyle that pop stars go through, especially when they are in a committed relationship and ready to settle down in marriage. In this movie, Kat Valdez did the unthinkable and I don't believe such a thing has ever happened —marrying a stranger on a live show.

I see that action as reckless, thoughtless and unrealistic. Who marries a stranger on a live show? Apparently this happens only in movies. This stranger is Owen Wilson who stars as Charlie Gilbert, a shy, awkward maths teacher and I did not see him as a good fit for J-lo in a rom-com but we watch what we are given, eh?

As I watched, I was engrossed with how J-lo, a wealthy, pop star would make her relationship with her maths teacher husband work. Then I remembered along the way, it's a rom-com but sadly, there was no comedy. Attempts by the filmmakers to inculcate some comedy was not obvious.

I like that the movie worked to change the narrative of the man pursuing the woman and proposing marriage. J-lo pursued her man and finally proposed marriage to him.

One issue I was unhappy with was that the filmmakers unnecessarily stretched the conflict (stardom) keeping the two lovebirds apart. This conflict could have been easily resolved with a straightforward conversation. Instead, they let viewers cringe and grit their teeth wondering, "What is wrong with you two?" That's what I did anyway and sighed when the two main characters resolved to be together and the movie finally ended.

This is not to say that the movie was boring but I will rate it 3.5 stars out of 5. The scenes, dialogues and character interactions are smooth and the acting was quite good. I love that the movie is packed with original songs by Jennifer Lopez and Latin music star, Maluma. It was refreshing watching J-lo perform without having to watch any of her music videos.

The message of the film is love is possible even between two very different people. So if you would like a Valentine movie recommendation, you can spice up your evening with Marry Me.

🎞 Новинка кіно: "Вийду за тебе" ("Marry Me") - американська романтична стрічка з Дженніфер Лопес та Оуеном Вілсоном у головних ролях. Також у ролях Малума та інші. Режисер: Кет Койро. Зараз кіно якраз почали демонструвати в кінотеатрах.

💬 За сюжетом, відома співачка (Дженніфер Лопес) має хлопця (Малума), також співака, за якого збирається вийти заміж. Вони готують грандіозне шоу: одружаться прямо на концерті. Ця подія має бути феєричною, співачка приготувала дуже дорогу сукню, все продумано до дрібниць. Весь світ чекає цієї події. Паралельно з цим ми знайомимось із звичайним вчителем (Оуен Вілсон), який має доньку, але з її мамою вже розійшовся. Він простий хлопець, його колега запросила їх піти на цей концерт співачки, бо в неї були квитки. Він з колегою і донькою пішли на концерт, заради розваги. Перед найголовнішим епізодом шоу за кулісами співачка розуміє, що всі різко почали щось дивитися в телефонах. Вона попросила свого менеджера показати і їй, і буквально за секунду до появи на сцені вона бачить відео, яке поширилось: її співак-хлопець цілується з іншою. Зірка вражена цією інформацією, виходить на сцену, починає говорити свої роздуми про кохання і бачить в натовпі хлопця (вчителя) з плакатом "Marry me". Це назва пісні, яка мала звучати як фінальна на цьому шоу. Але співачка, глянувши на плакат, робить імпульсивне рішення: вона каже хлопцеві "Так, я вийду за тебе". Таким чином простий вчитель опиняється в центрі уваги, він також каже їй "Так!" і на сцені відбувається імпровізоване одруження. Наступного дня команда зіркової співачки думає, що вони закриють це питання, дадуть грошей вчителеві і все забудуть. Але дівчина вирішує побути з ним подружжям трохи часу, для того, щоб у ЗМІ це виглядало нормально. Хлопця втягують у світ шоу-бізнесу, прес-конференції, інтерв'ю, до чого він геть не звик, та він погоджується допомогти. Що ж буде далі і як розвиватимуться події в житті цієї парочки - дивіться безпосередньо у фільмі.

✅ Дуже легке і приємне кіно для перегляду, актори чудові, цікава ідея сюжету, нічого надзвичайного, але можна дивитися.
