Night Teeth@cinetv558d
May I say that this is the worst film to be talking about at this point in time, but what’s better than a little bloody movie (quite literally) to spice things up? I’d seen this film just about when it was released, but I was more or less forced to see it again recently, courtesy of a loved one. It’s a pleasure as always, to share the films I’ve seen, both good and bad with you all. Which is exactly what we’re going to do today.
Night Teeth (2021)
Directed by Adam Randall, Night Teeth tells the story of Benny (Jorge Lendeborg Jr.) who takes his brother's place as a freelance chauffeur. From there, he is hired by two friends to drive them to several nightclubs in Los Angeles. He is unaware that these women are vampires. He also doesn’t realize that his brother, Jay, plays a role in keeping the peace between vampires and humans.
Somewhere else is Victor (Alfie Allen). A vampire who has grown bored with feeding consensually from humans. He begins to execute his plan of wiping out other vampiric lords, so he can take power for himself and ruin the truce the vampires have with humans. A night that was supposed to be spent simply for Benny just take over his brother’s job for a while becomes one to remember. A life-altering experience for the rest of his life.
So, I’ll start by saying that movies are meant to entertain. The reason why most of us criticize the littlest bit about a movie these days is simply owing to the fact that our lives are hard. We’re looking for an escape or an outlet for our anger and frustrations. We see a movie, and nit-pick the heck out of it, starting with the title and then to the opening scenes, invariably taking out the very essence of films which is to entertain, however mindlessly.
That being said. This wasn’t the best vampire film I’ve seen. Starting from the smallest issue to the biggest. There’s a reason why vampires are usually centuries old. Their decisions should be backed by a lot of wisdom. So, when I see vampires acting immature, it kind of runs me off the wrong way. You should be the most stoic and level-headed being on the planet, courtesy of living so long and seeing pretty much everything. I know that’s how I’ll be. Sadly, this was not the case.
Also, the protagonist didn’t give me too much to work with when it comes to likeability. It’s usually such a bummer you know. When the core person in a film is not a likable character for you. It kind of ruins everything minutes in, especially when said protagonist adds salt to injury by making equally unlikeable decisions. Not good, Benny. Not good at all. But, that’s alright I guess for a movie that’s meant for you to just laugh at and be on your way. This film being described by Google as horror certainly cracked me up, that’s for sure.
The film, however, was fast-paced, which I enjoyed because I was eager to get through it quick. The action began almost immediately and didn’t stop till the end. That in itself would have proven rather satisfying if the events weren’t also predictable several miles away. I guess this will be a, “We watch, we don’t judge,” situation. But seeing this film the second time sparked a lot of emotions. Loved the experience, though. All 1 hour and 47 minutes of it. Hope you enjoy!

Hello dear Hive community, I hope you are well. Today I want to talk to you about a movie which I saw because the synopsis caught my attention but I never thought it was about the subject because I didn't see the trailer je and I'm talking about "Maw of the night", a movie of 2021 of vampires a little weird.
Before talking about the movie we can say that it has a good cast and special performances, in the cover that Netflix presents us I could see Debby Ryan (Blaire) who I met her thanks to Disney and I had not had the opportunity to see her outside of that kind of movies or series like Jessie that's why I got into it and then I could see that it had other great actors like Alfie Allen (Victor) who I'm watching in Games of Thrones, we also have Lucy Fry (Zoe), Sydney Sweeney (Eva), Megan Fox (Grace) and our main character Jorge Lendeborg (Benny). The story tells us about a driver who picks up two women to be his driver on a night where he is supposed to go from party to party but when he discovers they are what he is left with is begging for his life.
The movie itself is quite passable in terms of violence I saw it very superficial, I don't know if it was the effects but I didn't really believe the blood, the fangs and stuff. But I don't want to talk about it first, I would like to talk about the main characters in a rather superficial way, why? This movie is what happens in one night, I'm not really a fan of movies that take place in a short period of time and this movie is one of those, a hundred that don't let us see more depth to the characters. Although they tried to do some depth to sympathize with Blaire who is like the good one in the story, because Zoe is a crazy person and Victor is not like they pass him off as anything but bad and our beloved Benny is also like they tried to do something with him, which I didn't completely buy it but well it's not like I expected much from the movie.
To be honest I didn't understand anything at first, just that there were vampires, it was around the time that Blaire was even telling the plan, where I started to get the hang of the story. I think it's not a bad idea that they had regarding alliances and stuff. I felt it very Shadowhunters but I love Shadowhunters so hehehe the only thing I didn't like was the affections, maybe because I've been enraptured with movies that have shown me those things as more realistic, that aspect felt very Disney on their part although I rescue a lot to the performances of the vampires, especially Lucy Fry who behaved like a vampire well extreme the truth.
Now yes, the romance but it seemed too much, one does not fall in love in one night, at least I do not think so in that aspect I think I sin because they did not want to put a half forced romance for me, with respect to vampires is not so Twilight. Regarding the sun I found it very accurate and credible and gave me a very good impression along with the end, it had action in a certain way (something weird the truth) but if it was more interesting at the end. I would give it a 5/10 it wasn't that bad but it's not the greatest thing, well for me it wasn't, but it's entertaining to start October, this is my opinion about "Maw of the night", see you soon.

I just keep getting lucky with my finds on which movie to stream next. Just the other night I was scouring Netflix with @flowerbaby and noticed a movie with fangs on the artwork. It was called Night Teeth and right away I was tempted to watch it. Usually, I will at least look up a trailer, but no not for this one. I was into the aesthetic they used for marketing and I trusted the fact that it wasn't going to be low budget since it was an official Netflix film.
I have always been a huge vampire fan and I do not mean the Twilight kind. The bloodier and more brutal, the better. I grew up watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer with my mom, so I believe that is where it all started. I continued to love vampire-themed films as I grew older, watching movies and tv shows such as True Blood, Van Helsing, Underworld, Dracula, Daybreakers, From Dusk Til Dawn, Blade, and so many more that I cannot continue listing all of them. Recently I have even been playing a vampire RPG video game called Vampyr, stay on the lookout for gameplay videos of that in the coming weeks. All of this blood got me in the mood to see a juicy vampire flick. In comes Night Teeth to satisfy my urge.
This film is not packed with huge names, but it's also far from a low-budget film. The three main characters are Benny (Jorge Lendeborg Jr.), Blair (Debby Ryan), and Zoe (Lucy Fry). I had seen all of them in other things before, but never as a main character that I actually remembered for very long. Luckily all three of them kick ass in their own way in Night Teeth. The girls are a badass duo and not afraid to be sexy and deadly both. While Benny is goofy, awkward, and stuck with these crazy chicks.
There are a few other actors that you may recognize, but they are not main characters. For instance, Megan Fox sneaks in with her character Grace. She is in it long enough to remind you just how hot the vamps in this film are. I thought that I recognized her, but it wasn't until after the film that I realized who this girl was.
Alfie Allen (Theon Greyjoy from Game of Thrones) is also in this movie. His character Victor is more apparent than Megan Fox's slight role. I guess you could call Victor the main villain, but really I don't think what he was doing is necessarily bad. Everything that happens in the movie is precisely orchestrated by his hand and I'll leave it up to watch and see what his motive is.
Zoe is the crazy girl of the two main vampire chicks. She reminds me a lot of somebody like Harley Quinn, even looking very similar to Margot Robbie. The unpredictability that she brings to the table is pretty exciting. You never know if she is going to crack a joke or bite a neck.
Blair is the cute and much more kind of the two main gals. She becomes interested in Benny pretty much right away. Their flirting back and forth is cute but doesn't get hot and heavy until towards the later parts of the movie. Of course, this is a cause for concern since vampires and humans do not mix very well.
Benny is hesitant to assist these girls in their adventure around town, but he is stuck with the job and must tag along until they are satisfied. Once Blair and Benny finally kiss for the first time, he has a change of heart. He becomes much more willing to help and the secrets are out the door.
Although Benny isn't much of a fighter, he still gets in on the action. The girls are the ones who really take care of business. Vampires are much more powerful than humans and that explains them beating up so many dudes and not even breaking a nail.
If you have a thing for crazy chicks, you will be all about Zoe. She continually pushes things to the limit and will stop at nothing to satisfy her boyfriend Victor's master plan. This is a long night, but they are determined to finish the job before the sun rises.
There are a lot of memorable characters who pop in during Night Teeth. Some are brief and others come back for seconds. You will surely find at least one character to who you can relate. If you enjoy vampire movies, you may just love every single person that you meet during this film.
Hopefully, this sparked some interest for you to check this film out. It is available to stream on Netflix. Below is the trailer for your viewing convenience.
We are still in the presence of horror within the Netflix catalog, although I am very demanding in the genre (I have my own tastes), I like a movie with a good story that leaves you glued to the bed or the couch. **Night Teeth is not one of those movies unfortunately, and for a vampire thriller with a different story to which they could get a lot of potential, it was not as high as the other films aimed at a young audience, besides its resources are repetitive. If you want to know my opinions with more details, I invite you to read my review to the end.
E S P A Ñ O L

The plot lets us know the story of Benny Perez, a high school boy with a great talent for composing music. One day, he decides to help his brother with his job as a chauffeur, replacing him for a night, but things start to get complicated when Benny has to act as a chauffeur for two strange girls, who after discovering his true nature, he will have to figure out how to survive with a whole hidden and dark world under his nose.
Sinopsis
I like stories that can be created from a specific theme, and I think this movie has a point for that by bringing us a new and interesting plot about vampires. However, the story plots (which I think are very important) were not powerful enough to keep me from seeing how absurd the whole thing looks.
The writer of the movie doesn't seem to have planned well the creation of the characters, who really fall short: only three vampires are going to dominate the streets of Los Angeles? And then what comes next? I really didn't understand that part or they didn't know how to execute it since it seems that we are talking about different vampire mafias distributed in power. This new mythology they have created is appreciated, but there are a lot of loose ends left unexplained.
Although I liked the photography very much, since in my perspective it looks very artistic and futuristic the combination of neon colors with a night environment, I think the editing left much to be desired, since there were parts that seemed ridiculous and even copies of other previous films, I do not know if the scenes were a tribute or were made on purpose to give laughter, but if it was the director's goal the second, then he did a good job.
The other thing, is that for a movie aimed specifically for a young audience, it fell short in many things. It seems more like a lesser quality copy of other films of this style and genre. Starting with the way the plot develops and the twists and turns it takes, in my opinion, it looks like a Disney produced movie, not to give the industry a bad name, but the way things unfolded were absolutely ridiculous.
Within the performances we can see good quality, even the main character, although I didn't like his character at all. The characters I liked the most were Lucy Fry as Zoe; her interpretation of a psychopathic vampire girl who seems to be ecstatic all the time for drugs was so good and at the same time a bit hilarious. As well as Alfie Allen's (Game of Thrones) performance, his performance as a patient villain with a huge thirst for power is convincing, too bad his character didn't give all the points needed to finish understanding his goals, and instead, just leaves us with an intelligent vampire with an unquenchable thirst for power.
The protagonist, played by Jorge Lendeborg Jr. is a typical teenager involved in a situation beyond his comprehension. He seems like a copy of Dylan O' Brian's characters that perfectly connects with the young audience, however I find that his personality and goals seem to be well structured, although in some things he fails because I don't see the sense of him still existing in the story, but I think that's more the screenwriter's fault. There are also other good performances such as Megan Fox as a sexy vampire, although we only see her for 5 minutes, I thought her character should have been given a little more development.
Night Teeth, is a movie that doesn't have much to offer. It's entertaining, yes, it is, but it's another youth style movie that is just more of the same. It has a good story but it lacked to work more and tie up ends, because it seemed to me that it was just a bloodbath with not very firm final goals. It has a style of photography that I love, with overwhelming music for the soft moments and action, but with absurd characters and a protagonist with repeated personality with whom I did not feel any connection. Young audiences may hail this film, as it has all the elements that make it good in its style, but for me they are repetitive and for the most part, I don't consider it one to remember or be impressed with after the fact.
