  1. REMAKE is possible after the fiasco of One Punch Man Season 3 [ ENG - ESP ]@cocacolaron229d

Just when it seemed we'd reached the lowest point of the entire series, when it seemed there was a chance for redemption and to finish the most important arc of the manga in a slightly more dignified way, they take all that and throw it in the trash again with an episode that has been the final straw and the one that has turned most viewers and critics against this disastrous season.

When the third season of One Punch Man was announced, many fans felt that the visual disaster left by the second season would finally be corrected. After all, the manga was at one of its most epic points. But still, here we are: the third season ended up becoming a bottomless pit for everything.

The animation quality of the first season, produced by Madhouse, set an incredibly high visual standard: fluid movements, choreography, and art direction that delivered. It was an adaptation that became a benchmark the moment it was released. Since then, anything that didn't reach that level was going to feel like a step backward.

The second season had already foreshadowed the artistic decline to come. The studio behind it was no longer the same, but rather a less experienced one. The geniuses of the first season were gone, and consequently, it fell quite short compared to the first. To be honest, the first time I saw it, I felt... Disappointed

Again, I think there was no way this wouldn't be a downgrade from what was already there, but the third season has been somehow more disappointing than I expected. Bad designs, bad animation, and I think even the composition and scenes have been quite poor. Regular

    [Source](https://screenrant.com/one-punch-man-season-3-bad-quality-explained/)

Some of the scenes I've found, especially in the most anticipated fights of the season, are... quite shady in many ways. Some criticize it, saying it's a PNG dragged across a background, and surprisingly, they're not wrong. They really cut a lot of costs.

And it's hard not to blame the animators for this. I think the entire production is awful in many ways: the lack of time, the director, Namco behind it all wanting to maximize profits—it's a A disaster in every way, to the point that I think they should remake the season with better animation.

    [Source](https://www.reddit.com/r/anime/comments/1oe6e57/one_punch_man_season_3_episode_3_preview_images/)

There's not much more to say; it's bad. There are moments where it seems to improve, where it seems like they're finally taking it seriously, but it's just an illusion. It's all behind a... A huge deception that I just hope ends soon. They should take a moment to reflect on what they've received from the public and do better next time. We waited six years for this.

That's all for today's rant. I hope you can read the manga or the webcomic, which I think are the best sources to learn the story more deeply. It's worth it, but the anime has managed to ruin everything.

    [Fuente](https://x.com/BagasBagas65438/status/1933891791323013240)

    [Fuente](https://animecorner.me/one-punch-man-season-3-gets-2025-release-date-new-visual-and-trailer-for-10th-anniversary/)

    [Fuente](https://techwiser.com/fans-heartbroken-one-punch-man-season-3s-animation-quality/)

    [Fuente](https://screenrant.com/one-punch-man-season-3-bad-quality-explained/)

    [Fuente](https://www.reddit.com/r/anime/comments/1oe6e57/one_punch_man_season_3_episode_3_preview_images/)

  2. One Punch Man anime is beyond redemption - I watched the last few episodes [ ENG - ESP ]@cocacolaron237d
    [source](https://screenrant.com/one-punch-man-season-3-save-anime-list/)

For the past few weeks, I've been following the One Punch Man anime and also keeping up with the comments about its animation and how the studio's quality has been this season compared to the second, and especially the first, which was a real spectacle.

And the truth is that in this arc, which I think is one of the most important in the entire series, they've been a bit weak in terms of animation, from my perspective. I'm not going to talk about the story beats because I feel they've done a good job recreating several of the panels from the manga, but as for the animation, I think they've It's been cut quite short, or they haven't been given enough time to make it.

    [source](https://www.reddit.com/r/anime/comments/1oe6e57/one_punch_man_season_3_episode_3_preview_images/)

I'm talking about poor artwork, as well as animation that is mostly blurry. The studio's quality seems to be highlighted mainly by the excellent first season of this anime, which now appears to be... Lacking rhythm and fluidity in the fights, watching a seinen manga requires fluidity in the fights, otherwise you'll be criticized by most of the readers.

The change in studio was one thing; there were new character designs, and in a way, they slightly degraded the quality of the second season. But there was also a different work structure, perhaps with fewer resources or fewer animation specialists than in the first season.

    [source](https://screenrant.com/one-punch-man-season-3-save-anime-list/)

In fact, I think it's much more important to have a good director at the helm of your studio than to have hundreds of animators who are prodigious at their work. I think the first season was a mix of both. And while the second season had some good animation, I feel the studio didn't quite live up to expectations or maintain the quality. And now, in this third season, I think they needed much more time and a better director to handle the fight scenes properly.

    [source](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YXMPqxqo7i8)

Watching the latest episodes, I see they've done a good job of paying homage to the manga panels, but when we're talking about anime and animation, I think there needs to be a bit more to it than just having the panels drawn. and colored with a bit of animation, but also the director's job is to take that panel further so that we, the viewers, can be amazed. That's something that happened in the first season and isn't happening in this third one. Many static scenes,

    [source](https://anitrendz.net/news/2025/10/03/one-punch-man-season-3-pv2-new-opm-season-gets-its-longest-trailer-as-premiere-day-nears/)

Even in the episodes where fights are predominant, I feel that this is partly the fault of the developer behind it for not providing a sufficient budget and The time needed for all these animators to properly develop the fight scenes is a shame, but I feel they released it in this incomplete way, knowing that this anime is beloved by everyone. And surely many more people would have watched it even if it were complete.

    [source](https://screenrant.com/one-punch-man-season-3-best-shonen-anime-arcs/)

There are many shortcuts in the characters' movements, simplified or reused, which diminish the final visual quality. Not only that, but we've seen animators complain that the takes or drawings they made weren't included in the final result, which I find outrageous considering that many of these animators are stars in this industry. It's not just about the animation; the scenes are also structured. or the cuts that convey the desired impact

    [source](https://screenrant.com/one-punch-man-season-3-best-shonen-anime-arcs/)

It's quite sad to see this anime in this state, but it is what it is. I hope that for the fourth season, which features one of the most epic fights in all of seinen anime and manga, they can have a slightly larger budget and hire someone better to handle the fight scenes.

    [fuente](https://www.reddit.com/r/anime/comments/1oe6e57/one_punch_man_season_3_episode_3_preview_images/)

    [fuente](https://screenrant.com/one-punch-man-season-3-save-anime-list/)

    [fuente](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YXMPqxqo7i8)

    [fuente](https://anitrendz.net/news/2025/10/03/one-punch-man-season-3-pv2-new-opm-season-gets-its-longest-trailer-as-premiere-day-nears/)

    [fuente](https://screenrant.com/one-punch-man-season-3-best-shonen-anime-arcs/)

    [fuente](https://screenrant.com/one-punch-man-season-3-best-shonen-anime-arcs/)

Whenever my nephew came to my house, he would ask to use my computer to watch manga. At first, I was very intrigued because I didn't understand what he was talking about, until one day, driven by a curiosity that bordered on paternal, I sat down beside him and asked what it was that had him so engrossed. "One-Punch Man, uncle," he said without taking his eyes off the screen. "It's about a hero who wins all his fights with a single punch." The premise sounded absurd to me, almost stupid. Where's the fun in a conflict without any tension? But a burst of his laughter at a particularly hilarious scene was the perfect bait. And just like that, almost without meaning to, I was pulled into the world of Saitama.

What I discovered was a brilliant and well-executed satire. ONE-PUNCH MAN, created by ONE and visually perfected by Yusuke Murata, is not the story of an invincible man who seems like he's from a child's game. The series is about feeling disconnected and the absurdity of a system that values appearance over action. Saitama is the perfect example: with his average physique and his permanent look of boredom, he shows us what happens when you achieve your greatest goal and realize that nothing excites you anymore. He has gained so much power that he has lost his thrill for life, and on top of that, he has to deal with a ridiculous bureaucracy that can't see past his appearance. His complaint isn't one of arrogance, but of nostalgia for difficulty.

The genius of this work, I believe, lies in how it builds its universe around this central premise. The Hero Association, with its intricate ranking system (S, A, B, C) and its obsession with popularity, is an archetype of our own corporate and media-driven societies. Heroes like Genos, his cyborg disciple with a dramatic and tragic appearance, or Amai Mask, the idol obsessed with public image, exist to contrast with Saitama's simple and overwhelming efficacy. The battles, drawn by Murata with an incredible level of detail and elegant cinematography, don't have suspense regarding the outcome (we always know it), but rather in the choreography, the creativity of the monsters, and, above all, the comedic and dramatic consequences of Saitama's intervention. The tension shifts from "who will win?" to "how will Saitama manage to have no one believe he was the hero this time?"

The series is constantly hilarious. The dynamic between the serious and dedicated Genos and his nonchalant sensei is an inexhaustible source of comedy. But beneath the laughter, there is a deep sadness. Saitama defeats a gigantic alien being that threatens the Earth, an achievement that should cement his legacy. However, the victory is credited to others, and he returns to his apartment to worry about supermarket discounts. It is the tragedy of the man who has solved the riddle of his life and now must live with the emptiness of the answer.

ONE-PUNCH MAN is, in short, much more than a fighting manga or anime. It is a philosophical work disguised as a parody. A meditation on the search for purpose. It's as if it's saying, "you can have everything, except what you truly long for." It teaches that sometimes, the struggle isn't in defeating the enemy, but in finding a reason to get up every morning when there is nothing left to challenge you. Against all odds, ONE-PUNCH MAN managed to make this skeptical uncle not only understand his nephew's passion but become, with a head as smooth as Saitama's, an unconditional fan. Now, when my nephew visits, there are two of us gathered in front of the screen, waiting for the next punch.

  4. One Punch Man — When Power Becomes the Most Boring Thing!@agungprasetyo332d

Sometimes we come across anime that just from the title pique our curiosity... but once we start watching, it's hard to put down. For me, One Punch Man is one of those... The first time I saw Saitama appear, I didn't expect him to be so unique. Bald, with a blank face, but able to defeat giant monsters with just one punch… who wouldn't be surprised? It felt like I'd found a non-mainstream character intentionally created to "tweak" all the classic superhero anime formulas...

    images (1).jpeg source

I was watching it alone at home, just for fun because I'd seen so many memes about him online. The first five minutes were already hilarious. A huge monster appears, screaming that it wants to destroy the city, people panic, the other heroes are overwhelmed... and then Saitama just comes, bam! one punch, and it's over... But after laughing, I started to think, "If everything could be over that quickly, wouldn't life be boring?" ‎

Saitama: The Most Relaxed Hero ‎ images (2).jpeg Source

Saitama is unique. Usually, the main character in shounen anime has to train for years, lose countless times, before finally winning at the climax... But he's been at god-level since the beginning of the story. Ironically, that's precisely what makes him feel empty. There's no longer the thrill of battle, no opponents to make him breathless, and even the sense of satisfaction after victory is gone... ‎ ‎

Most Memorable Moment ‎The scene that sticks in my mind the most is when he fought Boros in the first season. Boros is an opponent who is said to be able to make Saitama take things a little seriously. The fight was magnificent, the animation effects were cool, and the music was hair-raising. But still, in the end, Boros lost with one final blow. From that moment, I realized that the problem with Saitama isn't whether he can win, but whether he's up to the challenge...‎

Genos : The Loyal Disciple Who Dedicates His Life...!

    images (5).jpeg Source

The supporting characters are equally interesting Genos , Saitama's loyal disciple, has a completely different personality. He's serious - ambitious and always looking to improve... Their dynamic brings the story to life—the aloof Saitama paired with the dedicated Genos... Sometimes it makes you laugh, sometimes it makes you think...!

    • More Than Just a Comedy! ‎

    images (6).jpeg Source

For me , One Punch Man isn't just a hilarious , action-packed anime. Behind all the jokes and instant punches. there's a life message : if everything is too easy, it feels empty in the long run. It's the process—falling, getting back up, fighting—that makes the end result worthwhile... ‎

    • Conclusion

‎So, yeah… that's a little bit of my story about One Punch Man. For some , it might just be a lighthearted show that makes you laugh, but for me, there's a deeper side to it. If you've seen it, please tell us which moments or characters stuck with you the most. Who knows, we might have the same favorites , and we can chat and laugh together in the comments.

    Captura de pantalla 2025-08-01 222635.png

What if I introduced you to the most powerful superhero in the world, not only in his universe but also far superior to all known superheroes on Earth? Today I'll talk about One-Punch Man because this series deserves homage. It's one of the best I've ever seen, and believe me, I have many favorites, but this one? It stands out from the rest. Its story is very simple but has so much substance within it that it's worthy of having all its chapters in both anime and manga.

    image.png

This series is unique because its main character isn't as central as in other series; in other words, he's so powerful and insurmountable that he takes center stage, giving prominence to other characters as iconic and exuberant as Saitama himself. Furthermore, the drawing designs, for me, were a work of art. Both at the cartoon level and at the PRO level, and the best part is that they leave you shocked with these abrupt scene changes. It's one of the things I liked most about the series itself: those "serious" but funny moments and "funny" but serious moments. Improvisation is a motto here, meaning that if you haven't read the manga, you have no idea what's going to happen. So the author knows how to create absurd suspense that will often make you laugh out loud.

I have many favorite characters from this series, so much so that I leave Saitama in the background for obvious reasons. For me, the best of all the superheroes is the "Unlicensed Cyclist." This man, although he doesn't have superpowers to fight strange creatures, wants to fight and take justice into his own hands, even to the point of putting his life at risk. This is admirable, a worthy example of what it means to be a true hero. Another of my big favorites is King. This man and his story are the ones that made me laugh the most. This is an ordinary man, without powers or bionic strength, but rather a fictitious reputation for having been in the right place at the right time to emerge as the great hero. In other words, he has become famous for the good luck that exists in the universe and thanks to Saitama, who always appeared in those extreme moments to leave this man with glory. His superpower? Having the best luck in the world.

    image.png

I can't leave Saitama out as a favorite. Although he's not at the top of my list, he is among my favorite characters. This is because of the type of person he is. That is to say, even though he's the strongest and most powerful man in the world as a superhero, he doesn't go around showing off his strength or rubbing it in others' faces to boast. On the contrary, he prefers to fly under the radar and act only when it's absolutely necessary. His dream is to find a worthy opponent who can withstand more than a punch, and those who team up with him often learn unforgettable life lessons that leave a lasting impression on them, generating positive change in others. For these reasons, I admire Saitama.

    image.png

I also can't end this post without mentioning the villains that appear throughout each chapter. Each one is hilarious, unique, fun, and extremely funny compared to Saitama's superpowers. Their shapes, sizes, and powers are literally laughable, walking around destroying everything in their path, until our protagonist arrives and fixes everything with a single punch. That's efficiency, and Saitama knows it; his opponents just have no idea of his existence or how strong he is.

  6. Will OPM Season 3 be a failure? + a few words on why anime takes so long to be made.

    H1.avif

6 years ago, the 2nd season of the famous manga by Yūsuke Murata and ONE (the creator of the original comic, together they co-create the manga published by Shueisha in the Tonari no Young Jump magazine) debuted. I remember how the fans reacted back then - they were angry that the J.C.Staff studio did a poor job, unlike the MadHouse studio. If you've been following anime for as long as I have, you probably know that the MH studio was constantly praised at the time. Today I know that it wasn't just the studio itself, but above all the creators who were associated with them at the time. Of course, it's not like the studio has absolutely no importance. After all, some creators prefer more creative freedom, and some studios prefer to avoid controversy. Others, on the other hand, find it convenient. For example, Warner Brothers or Paramount will be willing to take a risk, unlike Disney (another thing is that due to financial problems they will be limited in another way). In general, in the matter of anime, it is a more fluid matter than in the case of film studios. Additionally, there are nuances and specifics of creating anime - for example, a special committee must be established and more. Americans have simplified it significantly.

But okay, back to S2 OPM. I remember when the studio released the first trailer. I don't remember if they hid it as long as they could (like in the case of S3) or if they thought that viewers would somehow not pay attention to it. I do remember what a shitstorm it was on the internet. For a few days it was hard to enter a FB group, a YT video about season 2 of OPM etc. without coming across criticism. People complained about the backgrounds, the quality of the animation, the drawings, the curves and poorly drawn characters. Even my colleagues and buddies from the "real world" who only know DB, Naruto, Avatar (Aang), maybe Bleach, noticed that something was wrong. There was only a 4-year difference between S1 and S2. Only?! Nani?! What the fuck is he talking about?!

    h2.webp

Well, 4 years is not that long if you want to make a decent animation. A decent one, meaning not a rag to the floor, like the crushing majority of DB or OP episodes. Sure, there are terminators that can make a fairly good episode in 3-4 months, which is the standard time for creating the aforementioned battle-shounens, but these are exceptions. And let me emphasize, I'm talking about episodes without complicated animations and fights. Generally, if we want to talk about really good quality, 6 months is the minimum. 8 and 12 months are a more certain amount of time. FullMetal Panic fans have been waiting for season 3, i.e. Invinsible Victory, for 13 years! There are 12 episodes, but after each one we are satiated, like after a gourmet dinner and a delicious dessert. Or like after a great episode of a series on the level of season 1 and 2 of The Boardwalk Empire, the best episodes of Gilded Age, Handmaid's Tale, Reacher.

    h3.webp

Now bet how long it took to create season 2 of OPM. Well, guess. 6 months XD. I checked to be sure, so as not to make a mistake. Another thing is that S1 was largely created by Freelancers from experienced studios (from what I remember from the Animelogia video, Polish creators of anime content, these were WIT, Bones and others). Even if we tried our best and did push-ups with their help, we would not be able to win against such competition. As I write these words, a sequel to Baldur's Gate is being created. You probably remember that the game was in the limelight for a long time for several reasons. Even if it was created by the Pope with the Fatality skill (the most famous Doom and Quake player), being a sociopathic genius and workaholic at the same time, it would be damn hard for him to repeat the success of his predecessor. Even with a solid team, like Id Software, or let's say studio Ghibli (which can be easily compared to the creators of Doom due to a similar workflow, contribution to world pop culture and experience). If anything, I've put a link to a ForgottenRelics video at the bottom that explains exactly why season 2 was a failure.

Why did J.C.Staff do such a big job? Because they can, because they'll make money. We often criticize American corporations, but they're not as bad and greedy as Japanese ones. I haven't seen too many anime from this studio... Besides, even if I had, that knowledge is long out of date, because I don't follow anime news (apart from franchises that interest me). J.C.Staff has mixed opinions and its supporters and opponents, so I assume that my interpretation is at least partially correct. Especially since they make exactly the same "mistakes" with S3. The premiere is supposed to take place in October, so we have about 4 months until it (depending on which day they air episode 1). We still don't know the director, we haven't seen a single frame of animation, there's speculation on the internet that the lines of dialogue probably haven't been recorded yet. Well, I feel for you, OPM fans. Maybe you won't have to wait too long for a remake.

6 lat temu, zadebiutował 2 sezon słynnej mangi autorstwa Yūsuke Muraty i ONE (twórca oryginalnego komiksu, razem współtworzą mangę wydawaną przez Shueisha w magazynie Tonari no Young Jump). Generalnie w kwestii anime, to bardziej płynna kwestia niż w przypadku studiów filmowych. Dodatkowo dochodzą niuanse i specyfika tworzenia anime - np. musi powstać specjalny komitet i nie tylko. Amerykanie to znacząco uprościli.

Jedynie?! Nani?! Co on pieprzy?!

    h2.webp

No i zaznaczę, mówię o odcinkach bez skomplikowanych animacji i walk. Generalnie jeśli chcemy mówić o naprawdę dobrej jakości, to 6 miesięcy to minimum. 8 i 12 miesięcy to pewniejszy czas pracy. Fani FullMetal Panic czekali na 3 sezon, tj. Invinsible Victory 13 lat!

    h3.webp

To teraz obstawiajcie, ile tworzono 2 sezon OPM. No, zgadujcie. Choćby tworzył ją Papież ze skillem Fatality (najsłynniejszy gracz Dooma i Quake'a), będąc socjopatycznym geniuszem i pracoholikiem jednocześnie, to byłoby mu cholernie trudno powtórzyć sukces poprzednika.

  7. One Punch Man Manga: When Are We Getting New Chapter@fashtioluwa425d

Hello anime lovers and manga readers, in a world where there are so many interesting anime with good storylines but with directors or creators who refuse to release an anime adaptation, what do we do? We just go to read the manga and enjoy the anime through the black and white page as we catch up to what is going on, or better still, we read the light novel.

There is a creator like that who has refused to release more chapters of his manga; he only releases it like once every 4 or 6 months.

One Punch Man was created by Yusuke Murata, a very interesting and successful manga with 2 anime season adaptations. The last time a new season was in the year 2019, and a lot of people have been expecting a new season since then, but nothing has been done. A new season was promised to fans in 2025, and it's not looking possible anymore because the manga is still being recreated from scratch before the new season is released. Now the question is, how long should the fans wait?

"One-Punch Man" is a hilarious and action-packed manga that pokes fun at the superhero genre while still delivering exciting battles and memorable characters. The story follows Saitama, a seemingly ordinary hero who can defeat his enemies with, you guessed it, one punch.

One thing I love about the manga is that the sense of humor and satire are refreshing and entertaining, making it a great read for fans of comedy and action. The artwork is also noteworthy, with dynamic and expressive illustrations that bring the characters to life.

There are so many interesting characters in the manga, and one of my favorites is the most powerful of them all, the one they call "King." King is one of the side characters who has captured the hearts of a lot of people. Other characters are also eye characters, such as Genos and Mumen Rider. Genos's enthusiasm and Mumen Rider's determination make them memorable and entertaining characters.

One Punch Man is an amazing manga that a lot of people are waiting for the new release of the anime and manga. The last chapter's ending image felt like Murata was done with the manga but that can't be the end of the story. I don't know when the next new chapter will be released, but if you haven't read the manga, you should do so before the start of the new chapter's release. For fans who only want to watch the anime and don't read manga, the wait might be too long for you. Opt in for manga and catch up soon. If you need a manga reader, you can download Tachiyomi and use it to read manga.

Thanks for reading; my name is Fashtioluwa. This is my response to the anime quest for the month of May.

    Hey there, Hive!✨

I usually prefer stories with depth or a well-developed plot, but it's always nice to watch something lighthearted, easy to understand and entertaining. There are plenty of anime that fit those criteria, but today I'll be talking specifically about One Punch Man, a story full of laughter and, of course, punches. If you haven't seen it yet and you want to, beware that the post will have some spoilers.

    Synopsis

One Punch Man (ワンパンマン) is a seinen that tells the story of Saitama, a man who becomes a hero. He lives in Z City, where he must fight different powerful enemies, but he has the superhuman power to defeat his enemies with a single punch and quickly begins to get bored of being the strongest of all and the worst, without being recognized for it.

    hiveee-removebg-preview.png

It seems like a simple enough story to be considered seinen, but it falls into the genre perhaps because it has a bit more violence than usual in other types of anime. However, I don't really consider it that explicit, so anyone could watch it. In fact, the story is very light; there's no deep plot development or anything like that, since the main element is parody and comedy.

Saitama is basically the most powerful superhero in existence, but the story demonstrates how ridiculous all the protocol and bureaucracy that entails is. It also reflects that in stories where the protagonist is incredibly powerful, it's absurd to think he'll have any difficulty facing his enemies. Think about it: how much would we get from stories about heroes like Superman, Batman, or Spiderman if they leave aside the morality stuff and really used their full power? Little to nothing.

I also see a conflict with the protagonist's identity, an existential crisis. Now that he has all the power he wanted, his life seems to have little meaning. What happens after reaching the top? What do you do when your goal is already achieved? Keep living, but why or for what purpose? Although they don't go into this in depth, I think it's a clear part of the character's development that goes against certain stereotypes, but beyond that, it serves to give meaning to his story and help us empathize with him.

Obviously, the most appealing thing about this anime is the action, it is packed with tons of it. I don't think there's a single quiet episode (or at least I don't remember one), so it's always entertaining. There are also the jokes, with their absurd and over-the-top humor, that will undoubtedly make you laugh because they're too ridiculous not to. They're like those jokes that are so bad they end up being funny. The character that makes me laugh the most is definitely Saitama. I have no other way to describe him than a good-natured idiot, with very good intentions.

And yes, it's a fairly simple story, but I have to point out something important: simple doesn't mean sloppy. Let me explain. The plot is simple, with an easy-to-understand development, a fast and entertaining pace, but it's done with great detail so that everything makes sense. Nothing stands alone; it has many details that help you understand everything better, references that complement the story and make the anime a good one. Above all, animation details help construct scenes so you better understand the characters' emotions or even the relevance of the moment. This shows that no matter how simple the story is, it still needs to be well done.

    yusuke-murata-redisenara-el-arco-de-la-aldea-ninja-por-tercera-vez.jpg

    Source

Furthermore, the animation, considering the time period, is truly incredible. It's very detailed, carefully crafted, and adds certain elements that perfectly complement the story, for example, the change in the design of Saitama's face depending on the situation. When it's a light or unimportant moment, his face is simple, but in crucial scenes, his face changes radically.

Even in fight scenes, despite the action often becoming frenetic due to the speed at which everything happens, the details of the animation are still noticeable to the point where you can clearly discern the characters' movements. Obviously, it's not as sharp as more recent animations, but I insist, it's very well done.

So, for me, this anime is the perfect example that even if the story is a simple parody, that doesn't mean it has errors or nonsense, since you can manage to add detail and some depth to a story without making it boring. The ideal approach to this is not only the narrative resources but also the visual and auditory ones. The creators of One Punch Man understood this perfectly, so if you're looking for something light, entertaining, and well-made, this anime is an excellent choice.

    ¡Hola, Hive!✨

Me explico.

This post is in Spanish and English. You can go to the post in English by clicking HERE

    - 1 -

Greetings beautiful people of the @theanimerealm Community. Today I leave you my opinion about an anime that was recommended to me a long, long time ago and now that I gave it a chance. I will tell you about One Punch Man.

    - 1 -

Well, to begin with, I must say that I found this anime particularly good. It's not on my list of favorites but I recognize that it has excellent potential and is quite funny, which also happens to be quite entertaining.

It got a few laughs out of me, it made me laugh quite a bit in several episodes and I liked its plot. But unfortunately, it's not a series I would watch twice. I mean, I didn't love it, I just liked it. This is mostly because of its main character. There's something about him that just doesn't end up hooking me and I think it's his hyper boring side of looking at life.

    - 2 -

I mean, Saitama! you're the most powerful man in the world! Not just in your world! Of all the existing universes in anime and manga and you're bored of being so powerful, just because your opponent doesn't resist your punch? Come on! This is ridiculous.

I understand his point of view, his situation too, that he wants to test his strength to the max, push himself to the limit, and see if he can improve some aspect and it's unfortunate that no one can put up with it. But this makes you admirable and you can selflessly help so many people, this would be your life mission! But no, let's get depressed, it's better.

    - 3 -

This was what I liked the least about the series, that some chapters were a bit boring in the aspect that they were very talkative and the action was minimal. But not everything was bad. I have several aspects that I would like to highlight, among them my favorite characters of the whole story.

For me Speed-o'-Sound Sonic (worth the redundancy 🤣) is the best and the chapter where he appears seemed to me the best of all. I loved his character from head to toe and especially his perfect booty. I was very amused that the character designer highlighted in all of them this small but important aspect. Perfectly defined and round buttocks in almost all his characters.

    - 4 -

I liked the psychic girls too, especially Tatsumaki's screechy and bratty personality. As for her younger sister, Fubuki, how can you not love her, they're like two sides of the same coin and they're both very powerful. I adore them for their powers and most of all for their personalities.

Another aspect that I liked about the series is the Ego that our protagonist has. Saitama, despite having an acute severe depression, is a hero. He lives up to what he wants to represent, without needing to seek merit or glory before the world.

    - 5 -

Another aspect I loved about the series was the level of design. I mean, to do such realistic, detailed drawings and then go to the very simple, this is an epic level of art. For this, I give it its full five stars of 5 Little Golden Stars. It's well deserved, and well, if I'm going to watch the third season, I will. But I don't consider myself a fan (ok I'm not a fan of Saitama but I am a fan of Sonic 😍).

  10. Action Comedy Fantasy~ One Punch Man - Review@psyberkid672d
Hello Everyone Today I want to share with you my opinion and review of well well-known famous anime series I think most people have seen the name of the anime One Punch Man.

    Screenshot from 2024-09-04 20-09-23.png

After the first time saw the anime it became one of my favorites. Also the main character Saitama one of the coolest characters. You can finish any enemy with one punch that much power he have and it is very interesting to see how this history made that a very cool story.

In most of the anime we feel the power but in this anime we feel the character. In this anime the main character is named Saitama. Who has the power to finish any enemy with one 👊. But the character is very cool funny and very likeable.

    Screenshot from 2024-09-04 19-58-36.png

    Story Summary

This anime starts an attack from an unknown enemy in the City. this city has a heroes association where you will see lots of powerful characters divided by the level of their power. Our main character is not there but he always wants to be a hero. But whenever he fights it takes only one punch to fight. That's why he is bored with a fight he wants someone to fight with him.

    Screenshot from 2024-09-04 20-00-21.png

There is also another very interesting character cyborg. His name is Genos. Who is a lab-made experiment and makes his body mechanical. Who fight for peace. And one fight he saw Saitama power and then he wanted to be Saitama student and be powerful and strong.

    Screenshot from 2024-09-04 20-02-03.png

And then journey starts to be a hero then Saitama and Genos apply for hero association certification to be a certified hero. But Genos got to the top level where Saitama got to a low level.

    Screenshot from 2024-09-04 20-03-13.png

There are lots of funny parts in this series where Saitama kills an enemy to go to market or fight with an arrogant ninja. Those fights are very funny.

In the last alien enemy attack on the hero association building in this fight our hero saitama and kills the main villain.

    My Review

I really like this anime it's become one of my favorite anime. And also I like the character Saitama it is very interesting. You will have a lot of fun watching this anime.

  11. One Punch Man: More Than Just a Cartoon - A Deep Dive into its Themes and Characters"@bhattg792d

Although I have watched a lots of anime till now, I do not remember the names of everyone, my memory is a bit weak in this matter. Yes, there are some anime which are very difficult to forget and I am not sure about yours. There will be some favourites which you will never forget. One of the best anime is One Punch Man. You can call it because I like it very much. Whenever I get bored, I have an offline safe. I watch this again and again. I watch it and I enjoy it a lot and also feel a little motivated. After watching it, I probably get motivated to do something physical (workout xd) and I do that for some time. Anime is a wonderful thing, I like the character Saitama from One Punch Man very much and I have put it right in the profile pic of my Discord, I use it in other places too, many of you don't like it in yours and They call these cartoons, I don't want to send them about this nor do I, I don't even like it, it's all their thinking and I can't do anything about it.

So this is probably my first post in this community so I want to do my first anime review from One Punch Man which is at the top of my list. I hope you like my favourite list. There is still a lot that I want to share. Then the list is very long and I still keep watching some anime or the other, the last one I watched was Solo Leveling. There are some fellows in my office, those who watch a lot of anime and also stay up to date, they keep telling me about its story. It has come a long way but I like watching it in videos. Many people like to know their stories from manga and other online websites but I can control myself because of this and I like watching anime a lot.

So let's start with One Punch Man.

    One Punch Man Official Trailer-:

By the way, I hope that all the people who are watching it here must have seen One Punch Man, it is a very famous anime, maybe its third season is also going to come by this year or next year, it is going to be very exciting. Mostly, its fight scenes are very famous, the hero of it is Saitama, at first he is an ordinary person, you can say he is a boy but he has some ordinary powers. Even though all this seems normal to him, his powers are very powerful, as the name of the anime suggests, his superpower is his punch, he can eliminate any powerful opponent with just one punch and that is why He remains happy with the talk but as the story progresses, more and more people join him. He has a good heart and is not greedy for money and other things like other people. Yes. He also likes money and as soon as it is available in the supermarket or among other things, he also runs for it but he does not know how to rank up and other things gradually as he As people join him, he comes to know about all these things.

Many people also climb above him and think that he is rising up by cheating but the reality is something else. If he was ranked according to his power then perhaps he would have been the most powerful superhero but there are many more people on the list. Some consider themselves more powerful than him, but they are nowhere near him. The story is very fantastic, the superhero's job is to protect the citizens from the creatures that appear at various places and most of the people are successful in doing so. Sometimes the thread level becomes very high, in such a situation, above. Level heroes are required to do the same and in such a situation, sometimes while waiting for upper-level superheroes, many lower-level Heros have to sacrifice their lives. It is very sad to see this, but If we come every day at the same level then the fight becomes of a different level as is obvious.

Overall the anime is very good and if you like action anime then you should watch this. The character of Saitama Man seems very good to me because he is clean and also innocent, but his powers are very powerful. There was never any pride in this matter and it is very peaceful and life without the show is lived, instead of it the devotees are the heroes of the same rank, living a wonderful life being lived and there are a lot of glories too. Karte Hain. Everyone has their own life and everyone has the right to live it how they want to show it. I don't want to make any kind of comment for anyone but overall I would like to say that the anime is much better for you If you haven't seen it then you should definitely watch it.

This is my first anime review in this community. I hope you like it. I am new to the community. If I have made any mistake, please inform me. I will try to correct it next time and I will try my best to do the next one. Whenever I post content here, I will make minimum mistakes and share maximum things with you. Thank you.

  13. One Punch Man and the Critique of the HERO. [Review and Opinion] - [ENG+ESP]@edeyglezsosa1016d

Let's start by saying that I hate superheroes. Well, I don't hate them, but I don't like them. I'm not referring to the genre itself, as I like DC and MARVEL movies, but to the image of the hero in general. For many years, many have felt a terrible dislike of Superman for being too powerful a superhero. He's not fun to consume because it's not funny to see a guy who with one punch can take down any villain.

Just as some people think Superman is uninteresting, I feel the same way about Iron Man, Captain America, Aquaman, Flash, you name me. I hate their motivations, always defending the same interests. They always win, it's not fun. We're watching the same movie over and over again and we don't realize it. And all this brings us to One Punch Man. Ironically, the anime I've watched the most and enjoyed the most. One Punch Man is an anime inspired by its unnamed manga.

It is a mix of comedy and action that follows the life of Saitama(Makoto Furukawa)), a hero so powerful that he can take down anyone who comes his way with a single punch. This is where the name of the series comes from. In the first few chapters, the frustration caused to the protagonist by having to be a hero who plays in easy mode is brought up. However, anyone who has seen it can affirm that it is an excellent action series.

Absolutely, all the fights are designed and animated in spectacular ways. For the most part, you don't see Saitama fighting his enemies. Out of every 10 fights, 9 are from the supporting characters. Heroes and villains with incredible powers and fighting to prove their might. The villains and secondary characters of One Punch Man could perfectly be the main characters of other series. But the interesting thing about One Punch Man is the treatment given to them.

What's the point of having so many heroes and villains if in the end we have one character who can defeat absolutely all of them in one fell swoop? I have always believed that the best comedy is the one that invites reflection after provoking laughter. It's the one that leaves you with something after the joke. Laughing over a cupcake or making fun of how a baby falls down is funny.

However, it is empty. The comedy works that have a deeper, more far-reaching and transcendent scope are those that critique something between their lines. One Punch Man has a social system that governs the entire series and gives motivation to virtually all of its characters. The hero system is basically the backbone of the series. In the Saitama universe there are so many heroes and people willing to help that a regime was created based on the abilities of the people who have it. All heroes want or intend to rise in rank. If heroes are admired and held in high esteem than the heroes cease it.

    1009607.pngSource | Fuente

Even though many of them are not even good people. People and lesser heroes are constantly aspiring and admiring heroes, even going to unethical methods to further their rank aspirations. This that One Punch Man brings up is something that to me sounds similar to what would happen in the real world if heroes existed. In the Marvel and DC movies, the existence of one or a group of heroes is posited, but basically to be a hero in that universe, the leaders must accept you.

In One Punch Man it's much, much more democratic. Anyone can be a hero, from a martial arts expert to a guy on a bicycle. The system poses an anime, in fact, reminds me very much of that used in individual sports such as chess or tennis. Athletes are placed in order of ability. All in a world ranking that contemplates their last confrontations and positions in the tournaments. But One Punch Man is such a clever series that it does not judge the system itself, but its own participants. At no point does it plant the idea that putting heroes by category is absurd, what it judges is its participants. Class C, B and much of A is full of smug heroes, subject and willing to commit crimes with such would have deposed. All that matters is status, and very few of their kind have ethical elements that make them stand out as heroes.

Being one of the only one, the Unlicensed Biker ( Yūichi Nakamura)). Even many who get to have honorable attitudes, such as the lowest of the A-class, is a trash of a person with the new heroes. For example, in the karate tournament in the second season absolutely no heroes sign up for sportsmanship and the desire to compete. They are all there to prove that they are the strongest and prove their bravery.

Saitama is the only one with more sporting purposes, but we'll talk about him later. In response to this terrible system infected by its participants, out comes Garou(Hikaru Midorikawa)), the quote-unquote main villain of the second season. Garou is a guy who grew up observing the injustices and privileges the hero was born with. Thanks to this, he started training and became powerful. He challenged his own sensei and left in pursuit of achieving fighting perfection. Garou, as well as many other Kaijin, seek to face high-ranking heroes to prove their level.

    1015894.jpgSource | Fuente

The difference lies in the aspirations of each. Most Kaijin seek total mastery and to prove their abilities. Garou also seeks this. However, he wants to defeat the heroes to prove that Kaijin can go as far as the supposed good guys in the story. Garou detests the supposed heroes, as he considers them abusive and kinetic people, and he is right. For sample, the toughest fight he has in the last episodes of the second season, it all starts with the almanac boy's friends, who force him to run Garou out of the building. These boys are fans of heroes like Genos( Kaito Ishikawa)). However, they only understand good and evil from the physical and not mental perspective. Afterwards, an A-class hero gathers other lower-ranked heroes to take down Garou.

    wallpapersden.com_76721-3840x3029.jpgSource | Fuente

And why? Well, because he knows that Garou is injured and they plan to take advantage of this situation. If the A-class hero had taken an S-class, he would take all the credit. That's why he takes lower-ranking subjects. Once defeated, the S-class heroes fight again, also all against one.

Just as Garou remembered it in his childhood. It seemed disloyal and unsportsmanlike to him to fight among several heroes against a single villain. And One Punch Man does something excellently. In mainstream superhero movies we admire when a single character takes on multiple characters at the same time. And this from Spider-Man to Power Rangers. However, going back to the latter example, no one felt sorry for the villain for having to take on five Power Rangers at the same time. Same with a recent example, Thanos versus the mightiest Avengers of all.

And yet, no one thinks it is unfair. However, if we review the Garou fight, where all the heroes are facing him, we can feel that helplessness and unfairness of playing Garou wrong. He was hurt from losing to Dogman and had taken a hit from Saitama himself. And yet, he beat them all. Worse, finishing the fight, an A-class hero calls in a group of S-class heroes. And yet Garou manages to survive.

In the early chapters it is made clear to us that Saitama wants to take care of others for fun, to take down the Kaijin for fun. Why? Because they are powerful? That he is constantly looking for a villain who has enough skills to make the battle entertaining again. However, this aspect is only shown in the first few episodes of the first season. In the first chapter with the first villains, feeling bad that he defeated them only with one blow and when he dreams that the group of Earth villains is so powerful that they bring out the most of themselves. The final fight of the first season also has similar elements. However, for the rest of the series, Saitama is more than that. He's not a hero for fun. I remember being 15 or 16 when I was watching Doctor House and I came across an episode where they face off in the case of a hero who saved another person's life on the subway. The rest of the doctors agree on one thing, heroism does not exist, at least not as a natural human condition.

Why do we decide to save someone else? Let's imagine the subway situation. Just 60 seconds before the train passes through the station at full speed, a woman trips and falls on the train tracks. There is a perfectly fit guy standing a few feet away from him. He has exactly 60 seconds to get down, pick the woman up and lift her onto the wax. It is very likely that he will commit the heroic act and save the woman's life.

And it is also very likely that he will win the applause of the whole place, that he even receives some recognition from the society and his name will be trending for a few days. But what if we change the 60 seconds to 5? And change the situation? Why did they both fall at the same time?

Do you think the man would save the woman by giving up on her life? Of course he wouldn't. He would most likely save himself and there is nothing wrong with that either. I highly doubt anyone would claim him for not saving the life of a perfect stranger. So why if they do put their life at risk when it's 60 seconds on the clock? Simple, because the consequences in their mind will be devastating should they fail to help. We all agree that it is not your responsibility to save that woman. If that person dies, it will be because of an accident, not because of a lack of heroism. However, this man's conscience will eat at him for life if he knows that he had the opportunity to save a life and did not do it.

Saitama only defeated opponents in exchange for fun, until this changes in the wonderful and perfectly realized Chapter 9 of the first season. Saitama gets a chance to prove his strength against other heroes and society. He initially heads out to confront the deep sea king because that's what a hero of the hero association does.

After facing the deep sea king, motivated by a completely knocked down hero, Saitama gives up the reward of being a hero. Absolutely, everyone is impressed and his rank would be benefited, although that would also mean the unevenness of other defeated heroes. Thanks to the weird guy's comments, Saitama sees that, thanks to his final blow, the work executed by the other heroes is worthless. The only thing the association and society itself will remember is how Saitama defeated a villain in one blow, regardless of how the other heroes almost died to save the lives of others.

Here Saitama is completing the cycle that a hero must fulfill, he gives up his reward and realizes himself as a fighter. He could not find the fun and challenge in the physical fight, but he did have a mental challenge in front of him, that of receiving hate mail and not being recognized for his work. It is a level of heroism that even Genos himself does not understand. Saitama sacrificing his reputation to save the reputation of others.

"Help is help, without depending on whether it is counted or whether it is rewarded. But in the end, I prefer to stay with Saitama's thinking. I don't think he's the strongest hero of all because of his physical abilities, but because of his great mental power."

    [Fuente](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yri-0N7y5Mc)

    [Fuente](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4AQCv5NqS_0)

    [Fuente](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F8BcGbYHEV8)

    [Fuente](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1e5Kpt0K_vk)

    [Fuente](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y04HIYisk3c)

Saitama, the hero of this anime presents a particular trauma, being invincible and not finding an opponent to his height, also with his bald head he breaks the rule that implies that a dense hair is synonymous with strength, just remember the Saiyajines of Dragon Ball, Saitama has a clear and shiny head.

Unfortunately for him, he became so strong that he can't find an opponent to match, so all his encounters seem the same and monotonous to him.

Our character at first is a normal young man looking for a job who unwittingly one day encounters a monster who is looking for a child because of a prank he played on him. Saitama, unconsciously, gets in the middle of them and ends the semi-crustacean's life. Here, Saitama decides that his goal in life is to become a hero, which has always been his longing.

After a hard training for which he loses his hair, he acquires superhuman abilities, with just a simple blow he is able to end the life of any creature that confronts him.

This Superhero explodes his enemies into pieces and his destructive power is comparable to that of several nuclear bombs, he is super-speedy, manages to fight without sweating, shows no signs of fatigue and is immune to pain, thermal energy, and psychic attacks. He also gets very upset when he loses the supermarket bargains and can finish off the meteorites even though this has some dire effects for Z City.

    [Source](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4AQCv5NqS_0)

According to Saitana himself his strength and endurance comes from his special training, which consists of 100 push-ups, 100 sit-ups, 100 squats and running 10 km daily. He eats three times a day, and does not use air conditioning.

This hero's personality is indifferent to pleasure, joy, as well as sorrow or pain. He is very unmotivated, fights to combat boredom, but does not stop doing his work even if it does not bring him any benefit or get any recognition for it. He only does it because he considers that he is acting in the right way by helping innocent people who will attribute his victories to other superheroes and ridicule his baldness on the Internet.

This anime in its first season is shown as a lighthearted and violent comedy, but with an impeccable animation, monsters similar to those seen in Dragon Ball or Attack on the Titans.

    [Source](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F8BcGbYHEV8)

The music is phenomenal and enhances the power of the images, in which Saitama faces mad scientists, terrorists, ninjas, monsters, aliens, and even meteorites.

Saitama constantly saves Z City from its threats, and desperately seeks an opponent who can give him a fight. He is joined by Genos, a blond cyborg who constantly upgrades himself and seeks to progress.

The main plots of this season are that of the House of Evolution, that of the Paradisians, that of the Sea King and that of Boros.

The House of Evolution was created by the scientist Genus, in it he discovers the way not to age, in turn creates clones that help him with his research in which he manages to alter several species genetically.

Among the members of the house we have Asura Kabuto, Beast King, Mosquito Girl, Armored Gorilla, Ground Dragon, Mantis, Rana and Slugerous. It consists of 8 floors and a basement used for training and to contain creations that get out of control.

But Saitama, our hero presents a very particular way to stop the leader of the group : Hammerhead.

The King of the Deep Sea arrives in city Z and plans to rule the earth so he kills and defeats numerous heroes. People take refuge until Saitama arrived and in one fell swoop defeated him.

    [Source](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1e5Kpt0K_vk)

Upon being defeated King of the Deep Sea by our hero, everyone is reassured, but it has been a little showy victory, anyway Saitama does not seek to be worshiped or feared, those things are indifferent to him.

Boros is the leader of the Dark Matter, invaders from other worlds who want to take over all the planets in the universe. He has an evil way of thinking and is tired of not having a worthy opponent, just like Saitama.

Boros is a powerful villain who has the ability to regenerate and is also an expert in martial arts.

    [Source](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y04HIYisk3c)

The Heroes Association was created after a tycoon observed how his grandson was saved by an unknown hero, who was nothing more and nothing less than a Saitama without powers.

Saitama enters the heroes' association and discovers that he is in the lowest category and his disciple Genos in the highest, this fact does not matter to him since his strength lies in the fact that he imposed rules and obligations on himself.

Saitama feels appreciation for Mumen Rider, a hero of the lowest category, without powers, who rides a bicycle everywhere and who never gives up and is always willing to help.

The anime One Punch Man includes a critical component, in which society is depicted as shallow, and manipulable. People do not take Saitama seriously because of his appearance, but they do admire heroes driven by their lust for fame and glory.

This series is fun and very atypical in terms of the conception of the hero, the drawing and animation are spectacular. The story we are presented is different, intelligent, and enormously comical, the viewer manages to empathize with its main protagonist.

We will see many conceited, useless or mediocre heroes in front of Saitama, and enemies sent off with a punch and ridiculed by a protagonist who gets bored and belittles them forgetting their name.

Again I must say that I had a lot of fun writing this publication for this appreciated community, and if you have not seen the anime, run to see it, in another opportunity I will write my impressions of a season two that I am pending to see, the first season is twelve chapters that catch you immediately.

A big hello to all and I hope you enjoyed this publication.

  16. (Spoilers here) My humble opinion about One Punch Man | Oh my fking god.@therealflaws1604d

    English version

    image.png imdb

    ¿Por qué One Punch Man?

For people who didn't know: Yeah, I watch anime.

I'm not someone who considers myself an otaku or much less, I don't watch anime often enough to say I have enough knowledge on the subject or much less; but I have seen a considerable amount of pretty cool anime that I will never forget because of how awesome they have been and also how important they were in the stage of my life when I was watching them.

Before reading on please remember that this post will contain spoilers of One Punch Man anime and manga; so if you haven't seen the anime or read the manga, please don't read this post unless you are indifferent to spoilers and can enjoy a good anime despite knowing what is going to happen.

I've seen some pretty common stuff like Sword Art Online, Nanatsu no Taizai, Fairy Tail or Shingeki no Kyojin, but I've also seen some that aren't as well known like Dangaronpa or Akame ga Kill.

This time I want to talk about my favorite anime/manga that so far is going absolutely crazy and has the best character developments and fantastic fights I've ever seen in my entire life: One Punch Man.

    image.png

Clearly, the drawing is not mine, I have no idea how to draw but it's a nice reminder thanks to @acidyo that makes me remember that I've been reading and watching One Punch Man for over 2 years now (this drawing is from 2020 according to Discord).

    So: The point.

    Why One Punch Man?

Out of all the anime I've watched I feel that OPM definitely has the number 1 spot because it's simply different from the rest; it's literally different from any anime or superhero series you can watch. One Punch Man is an anime that stars an invincible bald guy who defeats his opponents just by using a fist.

Just saying this brings to mind a video my mate @starmangk showed me a couple of days ago where a youtuber talks about how ONE deviates from the common formula. ONE doesn't create a protagonist who must work hard to become strong or train for years in order to defeat different opponents who get stronger as time goes on.

Quite the opposite: Saitama is an individual who can't be beaten by anyone and who can simply blow you away and break all your bones, but he simply holds back. The point of the series is for us to see how his whole life goes by from a monotonous point of view as he doesn't meet any opponent who has a strength that matches his.

image.png What is the secret behind Saitama's power?

From the first season we can see full action; if I remember correctly, even from the first chapter we are introduced to colossal monsters that can wipe out entire cities due to their immeasurable power and they all end up in the same thing: being defeated by one punch.

This is why OPM goes against the common formula we're used to: AND THAT'S TOTALLY COOL.

The anime itself has a completely brutal design and animation that made the anime world shudder when this anime arrived. I was one of those who waited for it to finish airing before giving it a chance (back in 2018-2019, maybe even earlier) and I was completely blown away because the animation is at vastly higher levels than any anime I could have seen by that time.

    image.png onepunchman.fandom.com

As I already said, in OPM there are formidable monsters that have gone through an arduous and long process to reach such a level of strength. In the whole anime I only have 2 favorite monsters (and I guess every fan of this anime also thinks the same): Boros and Garou in its monster form.

Boros seemed like a good monster to me because of how intimidating his presentation was and the whole kit of abilities he had was quite a show. For the first season of this anime, the beginning was completely splendid and we were given a visual spectacle together with a soundtrack from another planet. I am completely in love with the whole final battle between Saitama vs Boros because it was visual entertainment that affirmed a couple of things:

    1. Saitama is inevitably invincible. There will be nothing and no one that can beat him; even though Boros went to planet Earth only because of a prophecy and ended up defeated and knowing that he was facing an enemy that was holding back: Saitama has not shown 100% of his power and apparently has not even come close to doing so.

    2. We will see more development of secondary characters than of the protagonist himself; having reached the pinnacle of strength Saitama does not have much to contribute as a protagonist except for the incredible battles that will be fought thanks to him.

And this is where I want to mention my favorite character.

    Say hi to Garou

    image.png

The guy Acid drew years ago is currently a complete killing machine and is definitely THE BEST ANTAGONIST I've ever seen in an entire series.

I'm not sure I'd call him an antagonist since Garou is completely irrelevant to Saitama and hasn't even had a direct confrontation against him even in the manga. They are simply characters that have been unfolding in completely different places, but have come to have indirect contacts that have yet to establish any confrontation or rivalry.

Garou is for me the best villain the anime has ever had just because of his mere development. He went from being a simple disciple of Bang to a monster with absurd abilities and power and even gives the impression that he is stronger than the other villain that caught everyone's attention: Boros.

    image.png

Just imagine how amazing Garou is in his monster form that just swept the floor with over 3 monster association executives in less than a femtosecond (or so I think). This kind of stuff is what makes OPM completely on another level in terms of action and demonstration of powers.

I'm an absolute fan of characters who can have incredible powers and put on a complete show when it comes to showing them off: that's why I'm a complete fan of Garou. Since he started his hero hunt he has given completely iconic anime scenes and moments and also just demonstrated how he slowly transformed into the formidable foe he is today.

I can't imagine how absolutely great it will be to see Garou in his most powerful form and I'm completely happy that he was given the place he deserves. Garou has been a character with considerably slow growth, but the results to date have been satisfying and I can't help but look forward to seeing these scenes animated by Madhouse studios (I hope they return for the following seasons).

    Unknowns/enigmas

    image.png onepunchman.fandom.com

I also read the webcomic many years ago and don't have many memories about it, but I'm completely sure that the manga is being quite different from the original idea. One character that got a small mention but I didn't think I saw in the manga was GOD and this is also something that really, really catches my eye about OPM.

What is it? Why does Blast, the number 1 hero, know it? How strong is it?

This is why every detail within OPM seems completely right to me. Not only are they giving us a Garou that is currently considered an absolutely formidable foe: They also make mention of characters that look like they are even a hell of a lot stronger and give the feeling that they will put on an epic battle and also an amazing show.

There is still a long way to go for the anime to reach the stage that the manga is currently at, but so far I don't plan to stop following the anime and manga closely and all the work they have done seems amazing to me.

I think the manga's drawing is very good and always manages to convey the right feelings when you see all that action happening on a page.

    image.png Fuente

Just look at the cute Garou being bullied by Overgrown Rover.

I know I've mostly been talking about manga, but it's just absolutely insane what's going on these days and talking about anime is nothing more than just admiring how well done the animation is.

I think this will be all my admiration of this beautiful work of art and it's been quite a nostalgic journey so far. I still have so, so many memories from when I just started watching the anime and then traveled through the manga to fall even more in love.

This is my first post in this community and if I broke any rules, please don't be rude with me pls. If you read all of this, I thank you very much for your time and would also appreciate it if you would leave a comment.

See you in the next post!

He is our main character, he is a bald man who wears a cape to fight monsters (Kind of like most generic heroes) and has the best and most creative hero name 'Bald with a cape', Saitama is the strongest character in his whole world being that he ends all his opponents with a single blow, making every confrontation indifferent to knowing how it will end, the reason for his extraordinary power is due to a hard training which consisted of doing 100 push-ups, 100 sit-ups, 100 Squats and running 10 kilometers every day, he also ate a banana every day and lived without heating or air conditioning, after doing that training for 1 year and a half he gained that overwhelming power and went bald. That absurd training is the one that 'justifies' the overwhelming power of him by being so absurd that not even the other characters take seriously his training or Saitama as a hero. He is always looking for an opponent who makes him feel that emotion for the fight that he had in the past, he has an indifferent and apathetic personality towards many things, he himself argues that 'His ability to feel things has diminished' despite his insensitivity, it is shown that he is very humble and that his desire to help others has not diminished.

    separador.png

    Genos

He is the disciple of Saitama, he is the only survivor of a massacre that took place in his city because of a cyborg, he was saved by a scientist who he later asked to also turn him into a cyborg as well to consummate his revenge. Seeing Saitama fight he decides to ask him to be his teacher to become as strong as him, Genos follows Saitama when he decides to become a hero and they give him the name "Cyber demon" (Much more original than Saitama, it should be noted).Genos's personality is very serious and without feelings at first being that he begins to soften and relax a bit after living with Saitama.

    separador.png

It should be noted that the series introduces us to many other heroes, villains and others but being Saitama and Genos the protagonists I will only detail them so as not to make the post longer than it should.

First I will praise the impressive animation and epic soundtrack that the anime has, being simply spectacular (I assure you that you will want to listen to the openning at least 19 times of how excellent it is), the first season has an impeccable animation, the second had some lows of animation quality but he knew how to keep up. The reason for maintaining such a wonderful animation is because the manga has a completely impressive drawing style and the anime could not be less (I am not lying to you if I tell you that for each volume of mana you can take several wallpapers of it beautiful are the drawings).

    separador.png

The anime is something unexpected in the sense that it begins with its main character with the maximum power being from the beginning the greatest exponent of strength, the battles are very dynamic since they are full of fluid movements. Something curious is that the anime makes the viewer feel interested in how the secondary characters will face the villain on duty (since they are almost always miserably defeated). Something to note is that even though it is known that Saitama killed everything that moves with a single blow, they still get the viewer interested in the arrival of each of their confrontations.

    separador.png

As I mentioned previously, One punch man places us in a world in which various monsters appear that wreak havoc, the heroes being in charge of keeping everything in order. In order to maintain control, the association of heroes was created that categorize heroes into 4 classes S, A, B and C, S being the most prestigious and C the worst, heroes lower than class S are directly too incompetent to face to real threats and it is very understandable since they are simple humans, being the S the class that has humans who have exceeded their limits and if they are capable of facing most problems (Although some can only be solved by our favorite bald man).

    separador.png

As such the story is very basic being that the heroes must face the villain on duty and that is where everything ends, as such there is no character development or anything like that. I consider that anime voluntarily ignores the fact of having a deep plot and others, the above is based on the fact that it seeks to entertain with unbridled action and comedy which are very well achieved. This anime focuses on simplicity, with the sole objective of entertaining the viewer with elements designed to make them enjoy simple things such as epic battles, absurd humor and cool music, if you expect something more from this anime I must tell you that you are going to be disappointed since that offers few things but those that it offers executes them in a perfect way.All of the above makes him a more than excellent candidate to enjoy quality action and comedy.

  18. One punch Man Anime series Netflix Review (uff;p)@kapitanrosomak1876d

One punch Man absurdly great anime that makes fun of everyone and everything and the best in its genre at the same time.

    BA29670A-6D54-4316-863E-EDC3414A8ADD.jpeg

The series is about a young man who saves a boy from a crab-creature, since then he decides to train so hard that he has become bald;>

By the way, also a bit bald, maybe I have super powers hahah;) depression awaits a worthy adversary. He beats everyone with one blow. One day, during a crazy fight, he saves the cyborg Genos, seeing the cyborg's skills Saitam decides to be his apprentice. Every episode is ridiculous when it comes to superheroes.

    0037C2FB-BCF8-44EB-A0C9-0B63532DFA05.png

The enemies are repacked to the limit and still lose to Saitam and his famous one blow. I haven't finished the anime yet, but the first season is behind me and hell, but it's good, even the graphic design is ridiculed more than once by creating caricatured poses of the protagonist or opponent, or it emphasizes thinking;) I consider the anime to be very good and here it is attached to me

    2E272FC5-D782-45DC-A32A-0DF4AE520C05.jpeg

The theory that I developed during watching this anime is that it tells about a 25-year-old boy who is in the hospital and suffers from cancer (baldness) and his imagination makes him create opponents so as not to get bored (e.g. big beetle or mosquito queen). For now, I think of as a strange metaphor for escaping from bed, creating a superhero out of himself, and his android is simply a friend from the room in which he lies. a clue may be an ending song that begins with the words come home.

    7A5DE423-8227-4C89-9B7E-419BA9BCEB18.jpeg

I consider the first season as great full of humor as the hero test and Saitama's poor result. The enemies are also funny about their will to murder, which always ends in the destruction of half of the city and in the next episode destroy the city again.

    (Trailer)

The series I recommend is currently available on Netflix, what do you think about my theory? Do you think it's an ordinary comedy or maybe it has some other bottom which we discover gradually.

The anime was based on the manga of the same title, but I don't know the manga, I started watching anime and I got hooked. I rate it at 8/10 because there hasn't been so much humor for a long time, in every 24-minute episode :)

It starts off thrilling enough as we get to know more heroes and get some Genos action. I'm looking forward for more episodes.

    Spoiler-free picture

The series is finally back and I'm excited to see who or what the main villain will be. In fact I was so anxious I ended up reading the manga for like 50 chapters after where season 1 of the anime ended. It just kept building up my expectations to a point I couldn't take it anymore and decided to just wait for the anime instead.

Both new heroes and villains in the show are generally so unique and cool. We get a much more well developed plot now, as if season 1 was nothing but a long pilot episode. Who will not get one-punched this time around? Imagining gets me pumped!

Are you already following OPM? What do you think of it so far? Are you too busy watching other shows? Then recommend me some on the comments below. Like Carole & Tuesday which is a new slice of life anime I'm really enjoying.

Saitama is the main character in "One Punch-Man" and the most powerful hero. Due to his superhuman condition, Saitama faces an existential crisis, since now he is too powerful being able to defeat his opponents in a single blow, so his battles he finds boring and without emotion. He has registered in "The Association of Heroes", he started in the C-Class, he made a big jump as a B-Class superhero. He is currently a Class-A hero and holds the 39th position. He has the task of defending City-Z against malicious beings.

Saitama is a man of ordinary appearance and bald with a thin, but muscular physique, of medium height and weight. He claims to have lost all his hair suddenly and prematurely as a result of his intense training for his heroic training. Three years before the beginning of the story, Saitama had spiky black hair and brown eyes that are usually represented by dots.

The design of Saitama is deliberately simple to draw in comparison with the other characters, with a very rounded head, a simple mouth and eyes. When drawn in a more action-oriented style, has more details, Saitama shows sharp features, dangerous look, and a chiselled musculature. His suit is plain yellow with a zip on the neck and a black belt. Wear red boots with black soles and red gloves, and a white cape.

    True physicist of Saitama

    *

    *

    Personality

    *

To be a superhero, Saitama is quite relaxed. Because even the most powerful enemies pose no challenge to him, he does not take his hero's job very seriously and he overcomes monsters with great ease. Since he started his superhero work, he is constantly searching for an opponent who can challenge him. The lack of these opponents has led him to suffer an existential crisis, and he states that his ability to feel emotions has been significantly impaired.

He said he only became a hero because it was his dream and for self-satisfaction and before he became one, he suffered from anxiety problems. Despite his boredom, Saitama does not ignore the crime.

The combination of his attitude, unstoppable strength, and the "impressive" aspect often cause his battles to be disappointing for him. Saitama often allows his opponents to boast about their motives and use their strongest forms before defeating them with a single blow. He is not the type who listens when his opponents talk too much so he tends to interrupt and provoke them.

Saitama has little ability to remember faces and names of people, like when he forgot Sonic's name and did not remember who Tank Top Tiger was. Because of this, he always ends up pronouncing his names incorrectly. He cares about his cleaning, since the only thing he complains about is the dirt on his clothes or blood on his gloves.

Saitama has shown himself to be very humble, as he demonstrated by deliberately letting the masses turn against him, for the sake of the defeated heroes who deserved credit for their efforts; alleging that they had weakened the king of the sea before his arrival, he did the same with the police by dressing like one of them and eliminating a monster, although he would have gained much fame if he revealed who he really was. Nor did it matter that King took credit for all his achievements.

Another surprising thing about Saitama is that he is surprisingly discreet and insightful, being able to discern situations and character traits from people and the environment around him quite easily. Physical appearance does not matter to him, he only cares about his abilities and everything possible to be a true superhero.

    History

    *

    *

    Past

    *

Three years before the current history, Saitama was a "salaried" unemployed person in search of work. One day, after another failed interview, Saitama wandered the streets and met the Crab Man. The total apathy of Saitama towards the situation impresses the Kaijin, who says to share a similar vision, which impelled him to spare Saitama and move on. The Crab Man tells him that his real prey is a boy with a broken chin anyway.

While walking, Saitama sees the child the Crab Man spoke of. He decides that he does not want to have anything to do with the matter, but after the Crab Man suddenly arrives, Saitama impulsively saves the boy from the attack of the Kaijin. He urges the child to flee and demands to know why the Crab Man wants to kill the child. While Crab Man explains the joke that the boy did to him, Saitama laughs and points out loudly how the monster is similar to one of an anime he saw in his youth. This infuriates the Kaijin, who hits Saitama, even after the last resolves to live his childhood dream of being a fighting superhero. As a Crab Man departs from seemingly defeated Saitama to end up with the cleft chin-boy, Saitama ties his tie to one of his eye stems. The Kaijin is defeated and the child saved.

After this encounter in order to become a powerful superhero, Saitama started a daily training program, which consisted of: 100 push-ups, 100 sit-ups and 100 squats along with running 10 kilometers each day. He ate three meals a day, but only a banana for breakfast and he did not use the air conditioning either, to strengthen his mental resistance. These daily activities were extremely difficult and caused unbearable pain in his body; muscular pains and internal hemorrhages. However, Saitama did not give up and continued his training day after day. After a year and a half, he had become very strong, but as a side effect, Saitama lost all his hair. He continued his training for a year and a half before starting his (initially amateur) superhero career.

On the 300th day of Saitama's training, your body has already felt the effect of over-training. But still, Saitama has shown signs of improvement, as demonstrated by demolishing a car after saving a child from an accident. At that moment, Encarnación del Cordón de Luz, attacked the streets in search of an opponent that would satisfy him. He hit cars and buildings while maintaining the search. To test the fruits of his work, Saitama challenged the monster, but flew off after a single blow. The monster hit Saitama again, who got a tooth. Without the pain of that tooth Saitama sat up and defeated the monster in one fell swoop. That was the moment in which Saitama overcame his limits.

Some time between the time Saitama began training and began to lose her hair, City-Z experienced the attack of a mysterious being, the Larva of Cicada of 170 000-Years, which led citizens to evacuate to a super refuge. -resistant that would protect them from monsters. The three low-ranking heroes sent to defeat the Magicicada were defeated, but they survived and managed to find some evacuated laggards on their way back to the refuge, among which was Saitama.

When Saitama discovers that he has been taken to a shelter, he thought that following the heroes would lead him to the mysterious being. Saitama tried to leave in order to find the mysterious being, but the citizens stopped him thinking that he had become suicidal. The guards try to explain that the doors can not be opened while the disaster is still in progress, to reassure people. While they praise the perfection of the structure, Saitama asks a guard where the bathroom is, only for her to respond that the shelter was designed and built without bathrooms.

Saitama anguish more and more, since he does not know if his bladder can resist until the situation ends. After hearing that two Class-A heroes were defeated by the beast, and that it will take three hours for a squadron of Association heroes to arrive, Saitama can not take it anymore and walks towards a wall of the shelter which breaks with a he just blows and runs out saying he's going to a store but just when he's about to come to the store to use the bathroom, the 170,000-year-old Larva Magiciada appears in front of him, but it lasts little since it kills one knock.

Arch of Introduction - Arch of the Association of Heroes - Arch of the Meteorite - Arc of the Marine King - Arc of the Thieves of the Dark Matter - Arch of the Hunter of Heroes / Super Battle of the Tournament / Association of the Monsters Saitama eliminates multiple threats alone with great ease without blinking. One day he meets Genos and together they face the House of Evolution, defeating every mutant in the organization. Later they register in the Association of Heroes, Saitama finishes in one of the positions lower of the Class-C in spite of its immense abilities, since what more note had was the written examination, something that Genos approved with facility and ascended directly to Class-S. Saitama meets Speed of Sound Sonic through a forest, this was a ninja highly trained in the art of murder and confuses him with a terrorist from an organization where everyone is bald, but Saitama easily defeats him and leaves without more, Sonic proclaims himself the rival of the apathetic hero. Saitama meets Silver Fang at the moment he saves Z-City from a meteorite that would impact against that city and that in turn would provoke an expansive wave whose power would destroy from the face of the Earth the cities, towns and colliding mountains, without But Saitama is booed by the population and some heroes because some pieces of the meteorite fell on the city leaving some destroyed areas, but miraculously without dead. Ciudad-J suffers numerous tsunamis and attacks of anthropomorphic sea monsters that kill people and destroy areas of the city, the attacks try to be repulsed by numerous Class-A, Class-B and some Class-C heroes, however when the Sea King appears the few heroes that came are defeated, Genos fearing that the life of all the city population ran serious danger decides to go, but is also defeated by the Marine King, Saitama appears and neutralizes him from a single impact on his stomach. In City-A almost all the S-Class heroes are gathered by the Association of Heroes to alert them of a prophecy that the Earth would be attacked by a God + level threat in the next 6 months, Saitama accompanying Genos raised the doubt of if it counted that day of the meeting within 6 months, but before not even being answered by any of the presents the city begins to have seismic movements, a giant ship the size of the same city sweeps it with several missiles, killing the entire population, except for a woman who was miraculously saved. That's when the Battle of City-A begins, where the S-Class heroes, Iaian and Saitama, will face the alien race that attends the highly inhabited metropolis. Saitama personally confronted two members of the Elite Force of the aliens and definitely entered a fight against the leader of that race Lord Boros. Saitama and Boros destroy the ship during the combat, which every time is enlarging the range of destruction due to the great energy that Boros released in each blow towards Saitama, finally Boros is defeated and dies recognizing that Saitama was much stronger than him . Later Saitama saves King from the attack of a giant monstrous bird and he reveals to him that he has no power whatsoever and that he entered the Association because another hero eliminated the monsters and disappeared quickly, so people attributed the feat to him, however, they become friends. Saitama returns to meet Sonic, who was looking for a rematch, but Genos prevented him from seeing his teacher and confronted him, Saitama decides to return to give him the pleasure of fighting him but Sonic is easily defeated again, days later walking down the street meets Garou, which identifies perfectly as the Hero Hunter and leaves K.O. of a karatazo for putting himself in the middle of a store where he was going to buy a wig to pose as the pupil of Silver Fang. Saitama accesses a world fight tournament in Ciudad-C under an identity that was not his, where he is in the final against Seeryu, a formidable fighter whose art is masterful but who fails to show our hero and ends up being defeated with pure simplicity, however Saitama is discovered to have taken an identity that was not his and is disqualified, so Seeryu wins. Saitama returns hours later to the site of the tournament, finding out which monsters had corrupted and transformed into creatures some of the wrestlers participating in the tournament, Saitama assassinates all the monsters present but is not seen to do so since a huge amount of smoke by the dust raised in battle produces nothing to be seen. Saitama returns to the streets of the city as the superhero he is and can not find any more monster, apparently everyone had retired, so he stays with King and takes a quiet walk talking about how tired he is of looking for enemies that ends up winning easily and that he prefers that the enemies come to him, Garou that came to be defeated at the hands of Watchdog Man meets them both, decides to attack King, but Saitama inadvertently hits him by stamping him against a wall and leaving him Unconscious, both heroes finish their walk and separate. He goes out again to the streets and he finds some monsters that come to ally with the Association of Monsters, he annihilates them and follows his own. Saitama goes with King to the latter's house to play video games, ignoring a little the big situation that is happening out there, since on the one hand there is the battle of Garou against Heroes of Class-A, Class-B, Genos and Bang and on the other hand the neutralization of monster attacks from the Monster Association to social interests.

    Skills and Powers

    *

    *

    Physical Skills

    *

Immeasurable force: Saitama possesses enormous physical strength and therefore is able to effortlessly defeat monsters and powerful villains with a single blow. A blow from Saitama is so powerful that many enemies simply explode when struck. It is also shown that it is capable of effortlessly destroying small-medium structures and skyscrapers. An example of this offensive power is when Saitama is thrown from the top of a building to go to hit the Giant Meteor. A "normal" punch from him has been proven to be very fatal to such a long-lasting being as Boros. Saitama has also shown that he is able to control the strength of his attacks, but he still tends to exaggerate, sometimes causing massive devastation. Its destructive power in terms of strength has been confirmed by One and Yusuke Murata as Multi-Planetarium + at its minimum, so it may still have a lot to prove against future threats.

Serious Punch: It is a technique that leads Saitama to use 14% -15% of 100% of his combat energy, concentrating that range of energy in a single punch directed directly to the front, which can devastate with energy attacks or beings that reach the Planetary + or Stellar + level in the power range.

Eternal Punching: Also identified as the superhuman resistance, is the aura that allows Saitama that every hit he receives from highly powerful enemies does not make much effect beyond a slight tickling, as happened with Lord Boros or Garou monster form that So far it has been those who have confronted Saitama and whose power respectively can destroy the same planet or stars, as well as levels of major destruction.

Improved jumping: Your inability to fly is partly compensated for by your ability to use your strength to jump to great heights and distances. This can be demonstrated when he crashed his head through the roof of a gym. He was also able to crush a building and it ended up jumping out of it. His greatest feat, in this sense, was when he jumped from the surface of the moon and ended up on Earth at a specified point.

Immeasurable speed: Saitama was able to complete a 1,500-meter dash in an instant during his hero tests. It has been shown capable of maintaining a faster speed than Sonic, which is capable of moving at hypersonic speeds. Even Genos' computerized tracking systems have a hard time tracking him because of how fast he moves. Saitama has also demonstrated the ability to run down a building to save a piece of salmon that he had for lunch and jump back to the building without anyone noticing that he had done so. Ironically, despite his incredible reflexes and speeds he still has trouble crushing a simple mosquito.

Persistence of images: Saitama is so fast that it leaves residual images when moving at high speeds, and is agile enough to dodge Beast King attacks. After assaulting Saitama with a barrage of blows in his practical fight, Genos realized that he was fighting against the residual images of this. When he took part in the fight between Sonic and Genos in the Archery of Heroes de Garou he demonstrated that he can produce a destructive aura with the residual images, managing to paralyze Sonic and he fell to the ground like a toy, reflecting defeated on the power of Saitama

Superhuman Senses: Saitama's senses go far beyond humans, being able to track his extremely fast opponents, such as those of Sonic easily. It also seems to have developed a sixth sense; be able to dodge the danger even though I have not seen it. However, Saitama's senses do not have the same degree of "resolution" as some of Genos' sensors, which can detect and distinguish enemies at a greater distance. Despite this, he has a great hearing ability, being able to listen to various talks from other people at a good distance, even while fighting against monsters and the like.

    Curiosities

    *

Saitama wanted to become a hero because from childhood he saw a hero in an anime.

It is easy to cause misunderstandings with Genos about his baldness.

He has a complex with his bald head to the point that he considers it an insult to be mentioned by someone.

All the actions of fighting monsters were never recognized by the public because they immediately left the scene.

Nothing is known at the moment about his childhood or his family.

The shirt that carries the word "oppai" means breasts in Spanish. Before losing his hair because of his hard training, this one was black.

It is officially the character that most monsters have killed throughout the OPM script, both in the chapters of the manga dedicated to his past and in the chapters "current" when he is already bald.

Despite having incredible strength, Saitama does not have any knowledge of martial arts, he only throws punches, kicks, elbows and holds without technique and without any mastery but with devastating power.

Before the arrival of Genos, he maintained financially with what the people he saved gave him.

The technique that most used as a child was "Swivel Arm". He is so bored with fights that he prefers to go to supermarket discounts. The name of "Bald with a cape" was given by the association of heroes due to its appearance.

He is directly responsible for the creation of the Heroes Association, by saving a child from the Crab Man. The boy's grandfather was inspired by that action to found the association and protect people from threats.

It is speculated with some certainty that the final moment of the opening of the anime where Saitama throws a punch with demolishing power to the rhythm of the final cry belongs to a future final battle and not to the battle of Lord Boros, this is deduced by the facial expression of Saitama, since in the battle of Boros he was serious, releasing the blow as if nothing, while in the opening he was with a face full of anger and concentration of power since he seems to be using all his strength to defeat an unknown threat of great power (possibly the future threat level God of the seer's precession).

So far it is unknown what is the real limit of Saitama's capabilities.

It is known that he feels a vacuum because he has not found a worthy rival, which is the reason for his disinterested attitude in almost everything.

He is one of the few heroes that does not boast of his power despite being the strongest of his universe to date.

It has a strong resemblance to Anpanman, from the Go series! Anpanman. Not only physical since his romajis are pronounced almost the same (One punch man) Wan pan man, Anpanman.

It is with Tatsumaki, the only character that is occasionally animated with the design of the web comic.

Saitama ends his fights in one hit like Moka Akashiya by Rosario + Vampire and Tanarot by Macademi Wasshoi!

The only people who have been able to observe, affirm and praise their immense skills compared to the rest have been their own disciple Genos, Silver Fang, License-less Rider, Glasses, Bomb, Fubuki, King, Suiryu, Flashy Flash, Sweet Mask , Genus, Lord Boros moments before dying and the self-named rival Speed of Sound Sonic.

Anime is a bit of a two-edged sword for me.

On the one hand, I am so proud, and so relieved, that there is a popular entertainment medium that allows itself so much freedom and creativity. I am attracted to the freespirited, take-chances-and-don't-be-afraid-to-go-there philosophy of most Japanese animation studios, as I have pointed out previously.

On the other hand, it frustrates me that anime pulls this off when so many other forms of popular media don't even attempt it. A lot of western-tooled TV, cinema, animation, and video games are petrified by their fear of the unknown. They throw up their hands and scream, "It's never been done before!"

Except that it has been done before, because---no matter what "it" is---anime is already doing it. Anime studios' no-holds-barred approach has made them the only innovators in the field (almost: you can find fresh and powerful examples in western media, if you hunt voraciously for them).

Naturally, today's subject is One-Punch Man.

    The Superman Problem

Here in the west, there are often discussions (in the same way that the nuclear threats of the Cold War were just "discussions") about the Superman problem.

These discussions often center on Superman himself, but they can equally be applied to any character who is deemed "overpowered" by the community. Many people jump to the conclusion that being overpowered is simply a kiss of death, removing all hope that the character in question can be redeemed. "There's just no way to make Superman interesting," they conclude, then wash their hands of him.

But they're wrong: the only real "kiss of death" is their own self-defeatist attitude. For what is a writer's job, if not to take the thing that absolutely should not work, and then make it shine?

These are the stories that never lose their luster.

But, to be fair, there are some difficulties that arise with an overpowered character. To begin with, you find yourself unable to put them in situations that endanger their own well being. Which is hard, because putting your characters in danger is the classic writer's fall-back option to make those characters grow and develop.

But it's not that hard to get around this issue. Too many people won't give overpowered, godly characters a chance because they'd rather give their attention to characters who have problems. To which the question must be asked: "What makes you think gods don't have problems?"

    Enter One-Punch Man.

This show cuts right through the Superman problem, disproving it entirely, all by adhering to one uncomplicated premise:

You have a character who is absolutely invincible, and he has IMMENSE problems.

    The Story

In a world where humanity is frequently threatened by monsters, natural disasters, and supercriminals of all shapes and sizes, the people need heroes for protection. Some of these are gifted with extraordinary abilities. Others are just courageous enough to confront the danger and fight in whatever way they can.

But there is one hero who outmatches all the rest, and is overpowered to ridiculous levels. This is Saitama, the man who can defeat any enemy and destroy any obstacle with just one punch. A fact which he doesn't seem to find extraordinary.

But despite his unmatched strength and speed, Saitama is troubled by his lot in life. Forever denied of any challenge worthy of him, he has to endure constant ennui and dreams of a day when he can finally do something that feels like an accomplishment.

He also struggles with society-wide ostracism, as people are more inclined to believe that he is a fraud than that he is as powerful as he seems to be. Other heroes also have a hard time living in his shadow, and the people who most ought to be his friends are usually the first to spurn him.

But Saitama is strong in other ways, too, and manages to muddle through his problems without burdening others with his grievances, even trying to hide the fact that he his genuinely grateful for those few moments when people do show him kindness.

    The Supporting Cast

There aren't a lot of supporting characters in One-Punch Man who are worthy of note, but there are a few that must be mentioned.

    Genos

A cyborg who seeks to avenge his slain family. After witnessing Saitama's power, he dedicates himself to becoming Saitama's "disciple", and stands by him through thick and thin.

Genos is a legend in his own right, possessing powers that most other heroes can't match. But he is far more popular and gets a lot more credit than Saitama, despite being the weaker than the two. He is given every reason to forsake his master, but chooses not to do so.

    Mumen Rider

A powerless hero who is known as the "Cyclist for Justice". Whenever danger appears he bravely (and uselessly) throws himself at the threat, often to comic effect. He does not hesitate to sacrifice himself in an attempt to make a difference, even if all he does is buy the other heroes a few seconds of precious time.

He is one of the best parts of the show.

    Sonic

A ninja who often finds himself in the employ of criminals. He is no hero, though he is faster than almost anything and will fight evil if it happens to be in his way. Suffers his first ever defeat at the hands of Saitama and is now determined to kill him, even though all his attempts are easily swept aside by his target.

    The Humor

The biggest comic relief character in One-Punch Man is Saitama himself.

Unable to understand what the big deal is, Saitama is oblivious to the miracle that is himself. Believing himself to be a hero "just for fun," he can't understand why other people are so impressed with him. And while he is occasionally stirred out of his constantly bored reverie by something unexpected, he usually hides his ennui behind his characteristic "stupid face", with unfocused eyes that seem to stare through everything.

Until he lets himself hope that this next monster will truly challenge him, and he suddenly gets serious.

It does a lot to show how even the most overpowered heroes can still be many-layered human beings.

A Caveat - Subtitles vs. Dubbing and Technical Issues

On Saturday, March 25th, all the episodes of One-Punch Man were available on Netflix. Then, on Sunday the 26th, I noticed that episode 5 had been removed from the lineup.

I got in touch with Netflix customer service, and was informed that episode 5 was pulled due to technical issues. Apparently, the subtitles for episode 5 were glitching in a bad way for some viewers. As of this writing, episode 5 still has not been restored (though I was assured that it would be, in time).

As such, I was left with little choice but to watch episode 5 on YouTube. And this was eye-opening, because on YouTube the episodes have the same English dub that Adult Swim used for the series; whereas on Netflix, subtitles are the only English option.

I was blown away by how good the Adult Swim dub was for this show. I normally never bother with English dubs, but this one sounded amazing. And I was so disappointed that the Netflix release didn't have this dubbing, because I now wanted to watch the rest of the series with the English voice actors.

    My Judgment

One-Punch Man is one of the best animes of the last decade. It is an essential watch for anyone who appreciates superheroes, Japanese animation, animation in general, or just plain old good writing.

Netflix has all the current made-for-TV episodes (except episode 5, for reasons listed above). The show also has an OVA series, which mostly tells a few side stories that take place between episodes.

Only one season currently exists, and since that season premiered in Japan in 2015, this has left in question whether the show will ever be renewed.

However, less than a day before this review was released, we received word that the second season has entered production.

This is excellent news for anime fans. If you're not already familiar with this series, the Netflix is a good place to get started.
