    A superb series of science fiction films that i highly recommend - Quantum Leap ( 1989 ) & Quantum Leap ( 2022 )

Ok, friends, today in this blog post i will present one of my favorite series, which i recommend to everyone. Ok, i'll start with a small question, optional of course - Yep, who wouldn't want to give their personal time back just to fix the mistakes they made!!?? i'm sure that anyone would like such an opportunity to have a small chance to change something from the distant past on an individual level. Ok, just watch this☺️

**Finally, what happened in the past or will happen in the future ( no interference ) - it is important to let the thread of time pass continuously. Yep, our mind should not stagnate on ideas that should not be fulfilled - No one needs a time machine just to make their life more interesting and beautiful.**

Ok, the movie i recommend was a television series that to some extent embellished my childhood - even if the ending is somewhat sad... it remains an extremely emotional one. The two performers, even if they have played in other films, remain the eternal Dr. Sam Beckett and Al.

**Synopsis** * **Dr. Sam Beckett (Scott Bakula) travels through time to interpret different lives of people whose destinies have been compromised either by bad luck or by wrong decisions. With the help of Al (Dean Stockwell) and his computer, he can set things right and recreate history.** **Honestly, from my point of view, it was unique at the time - yep, super interesting idea to be able to travel through time to change some people's destiny. A series that answers a dream: to fix what was wrong in life, to change the course of destiny. Superb idea and successful realization in the form of this series.**

I liked it a lot and to my surprise i was already able to discover by chance a new series called, Quantum Leap of the year 2022 starring with Raymond Lee - yep, a superb series that has only been publicly released since this fall (in general it represents the continuation of that well-known series from 1989). Awesome 🙋☺️🕊️

**Only, as in this superb sequel, the action in the new series takes place in the present day, 30 years after scientist Sam Beckett (Scott Bakula) disappeared without a trace after experimenting with the Quantum Leap accelerator himself. Immediately after that mysterious disappearance, a team of researchers is formed to restart the project and to discover the mysteries of time travel, thanks to a particle accelerator. Ok just try watching this.** **Thank☺️ you for your precious time on this little review. Cheers🙋 to everyone🌍**

Ok ok hold onto your hats peeps because we're dropping an OG sci-fi series that's a must watch or maybe to hard to watch now a days because peak tech back then is the kinda stuff you can do on your phone these days. But that doesn't detract from a cult classic and another great series to delve right into!

First developed by NBC in 1989 to 1993 for a whole 5 seasons Quantum leap was a massive success but not without it's slow start and low viewer take up. Quantum leap still managed to win the 1989 Prime Time Emmy award and a few more over the years. Due to its low viewer uptake in 1989 it was moved from time slot to time slot over and over again. But it survived a whole 5 seasons which was really good.

It wasn't until 2004 and no doubt with the boom in cable T.V subscriptions did the show all of a sudden grow in popularity and get promoted to "Cult Classic". I was definitely one of the viewers that jumped on board on 2004 and I totally remember those years quite well. I used to rush home to watch the episode on Australian subscription service Foxtel. I recall that either before or after it was Stsrgate SG-1.

It was usually around the 3 - 4pm time frame which was a great viewing time but I would have to battle everyone else in the house to get the T.V.

    img_0.2574717483106903.jpg

But a little more about the show and what it was about. A Dr Sam Becket an astrophysicists studying time travel with his friend and colleague Admiral Al Calavicci which doesn't start out like that. Sam is a scientist that's about to lose funding for his string theory and in a last ditch effort gets everyone out to a remote location in the desert to test his theory. Cutting it short and running out of Tim Sam enters the Machine and vanishes.

He finds himself in someone else's body with not much knowing what to do. Eventually Al known as Ziggy appears which is his fellow scientist that is somehow tethered to his mind and they quickly learn that fixing past wrongs get him leaped into another time period into another person's body.

Gender didn't matter and Sam entered many people's bodies to right past wrongs.

    img_0.8799296853973791.jpg

The thing that was unique about the film is that each episode often ended on a cliff hanger, Sam was leaped into a new person's body without knowing who they were with moments to quickly figure out who they were and many times in life threatening scenarios. A true life or death game of sherades. One episode saw Sam behind the controls of a plane without any knowledge of how to actually fly one!

I personally put Quantum Leap at Cult Classic level and a wonderful 5 season franchise to spend some time watching if you can look past the now cheap effects. Keeping in mind that in 1989 these were peak effects for T.V shows.

The show is a wonderful escape from a typical show and I'd put in in the same category similar to Sliders which was another of my favourite shows.

Did you ever watch Quantum Leap? Did you like it or was it a miss from you? Let me know in the comments section below.

(Quantum Leap, 1989-1993)@panza2485d

  4. Quantum Leap: Some things are better left in the past@gooddream2954d

Like many nerds, I had incredible memories of this ground-breaking series starring Scott Bakula and Dean Stockwell as his (most of the time) hologram assistant that has a wonderful handheld computer named Ziggy.

    i_y2PErZ_400x400.jpg

The series lasted for 5 seasons starting in the late 80's and the story goes like this: Sam Beckett (Bakula) is a physicist who is able to travel through space and time and inhabits the bodies of other people in an effort to correct certain "mistakes" in history. Most of the time these events are fictional but apprently we learned nothing from "Back to the Future" about not altering history because of the ramifications it can have on other future events.

The concept is fantastic because well, who wouldn't want to be able to do this? Some superfanboi out there might need to set me straight on this but i want to say that Sam was not able to choose where (or when) they would be going, or what they will be doing and it was completely random where Beckett would end up. In one of my favorite episodes he actually ends up in his own body in his past trying to prevent his own father's death.

5952c4f73dd3db3295fdd45551e0bb3e--stormer-quantum-leap.jpg sometimes Beckett would be in the body of a woman

Now here come the bad news: I recently revisited this series thinking that I was going to be in for a wonderful blast-from-the-past marathon binge watch. I only lasted a few episodes because in my opinion, this series has staled with time. I just don't find it entertaining by today's standards. Did I change? Did the times change (obviously, yes,) was the show not that great to begin with and we simply didn't have much else to watch? This last one is unlikely because they did win a lot of awards including Golden Globes and Emmy Awards.

Quantum-Leap-Good-Morning-.png and of course he was frequently involved in some sort of romance

But after attempting this I actually abandoned my plans to go back and re watch the A-Team and Magnum P.I. because I was afraid i would taint those memories as well. Sometimes I think it is better to relive some things just inside your head because going back can sometimes result in "I actually liked this?" - type moments.

I am not alone in this thinking but I am sure there are many people out there that are going to disagree with me and that is fine.

If you don't even know what it is here is an advertisement for the DVD's... and no, i am not trying to sell you DVD's (does anyone use DVD anymore?)

What do you think? do you agree with me? Do you think I am wrong? As always, I welcome your comments.
