  1. “See”, a science fiction television series@ismaca531d

    image.png Image

“See” is a science fiction television series created by Steven Knight, which premiered on Apple TV+ in November 2019.

Set in a dystopian future, the plot unfolds in a world where humanity has lost the ability to see due to a virus that has devastated the population for centuries.

As a result, societies have evolved so that people have developed abilities to survive without sight, creating communities and tribes that rely on other senses and cooperation to subsist.

The story centers on Baba Voss, played by Jason Momoa, a formidable warrior and leader of the Alkenny tribe.

    image.png Image

Baba Voss is a strong and protective man who has adopted two children, Kofun and Haniwa, who have been born with the extraordinary ability to see, a phenomenon that is considered a miracle and a threat in this blind world.

The existence of these children attracts the attention of the powerful Queen Kane, played by Sylvia Hoeks, who seeks to capture them to use them as weapons in her struggle for control and power.

As the series progresses, the family dynamics and relationships between the characters are explored, as well as the challenges they face in a hostile environment.

    image.png Image

Baba Voss is forced to protect his children from forces that wish to take advantage of his vision, leading him to embark on a dangerous journey.

The series also introduces characters such as Paris, a scientist who seeks to understand the meaning of the vision, and the warrior Maghra, who becomes a mainstay in the fight for her family's survival.

See” stands out for its stunning cinematography and production design, which create a visually stunning and immersive world.

The series combines elements of action, drama and adventure, while exploring deep themes such as identity, family, the struggle for power and adapting to adverse circumstances.

Throughout its seasons, “See” raises questions about human nature and how people adapt to the loss of one of their most fundamental senses.

I'm at the end of the third season of See, which I've been watching for a while now, and as far as I know, the fourth season has not been filmed yet! I must say from the beginning that it has a very interesting and fluid story.

    [source](https://image.tmdb.org/t/p/original/2YQcWTJnyVYqwtj3eIgMtHvxGGE.jpg)

It has a dystopian plot set in the future, and logically, I think it's quite possible that this or similar dystopias threaten human life.

The basic idea is the struggle for survival in a world where all of humanity has lost their sight. They believe that the reason for the loss of sight is that they are being punished by God for sins committed in the past.

For this reason, all technology and all knowledge of mankind has been destroyed. They have chosen a very primitive life with no sight and all technological possibilities have been terminated.

Maybe we should seriously start thinking about doing that today. Otherwise we will be punished somehow, either by the divine power or by the world itself. Anyway, let's smile and get back to the main topic.

Actually, I was hesitant when I started watching the series. In the fiction of the series, a visually impaired world has been created, all technological elements that could facilitate their life have been removed and a primitive life has been chosen in every sense.

At this point I asked myself; what can this series promise? I thought that in the dark age of all humanity, the characters would have great difficulties in reflecting their efforts to live in the fictionalized world.

There is a character Baba Voss in the series who perfectly symbolizes both blindness and power.

I will come back to the character of Baba Voss, but first I want to talk about the visuals and the sound. The visuals and the sound in the world of the blind were extraordinary. The locations were chosen to fit their lives and the world they create, and the sounds were given great importance.

The focus on sound is such that those who cannot see with their eyes are enabled to see with sounds, while the acoustics are perfect for the atmosphere for the audience.

The designs used to depict the world of people who have lost their sight and the way nature takes back the power from man and makes itself dominant again are extraordinary.

I would like to go back to the story of the series in a few sentences. While the people who have lost their sight have accepted the situation and live in harmony under the new conditions, the birth of sighted children evolves the story that goes in the usual flow.

And it's at this time that the very familiar taboos that we all know so well come into play. Primitive and superstitious people consider those with sight as witches and cursed, while those who are trying to bring back the old technology see it as a blessing from God.

    [source](https://image.tmdb.org/t/p/original/bTfRKZtoRBStSIkqPVWtPWNdyzY.jpg)

Jason Momoa, who plays the character of Baba Voss, perfectly portrays a man who has lost his sight and his warrior spirit. I think that the better an actor understands the environment and the difficulties he/she faces while reflecting the character and his/her life there, the more successful he/she is. I can give many examples of this, but I have never seen an actor use his/her physical superiority so well in the character he/she portrays.

Queen Kane, one of the most interesting and complex characters of the series, shows an incredible development by mixing her intelligence with her dark, strange and threatening visuals. Sylvia Hoeks should be congratulated for her seemingly endless development of Queen Kane's character.

Believe me, there is an unbelievable positive difference between the character in the first episode and the character in the last episode. I don't think she has completed her development yet because every episode manages to surprise.

I recommend watching See for the depth of the story, the way the story unfolds and especially the character development. The dialogues and the plot make an already interesting story even more engaging. And when the actors are allowed to see with the help of sounds, it leads to scenes that I would call unique.

As a final note, the characters calling every piece of iron they find in the series “God Bone” made me smile every time. It might be one of the best movie lines I've ever seen. Lol

Thank you for being here and reading. Take care and goodbye!

  3. See (series): I give up, this show sucks@netflixr783d

I was really hopeful that this series was somehow going to end up getting good at some point because the reviews for season 2 are much higher than the very poor-performing season 1. I managed to make it 5 out of 8 episodes but I'm at my wits end and would honestly rather read a book than watch any more of this.

The more I think about it the notion of having the entire population be blind is not a good concept and there are a lot of things that don't make any sense about it all in this dystopian series that doesn't just border on the absurd, it is flat out stupid.

    [src](https://static1.srcdn.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2019/09/Jason-Momoa-In-Apple-TV-Plus-Series-See.jpg)

There will be spoilers in this rant so if you want to watch this, and I advise that you do not, then don't read ahead

    Spoiler-alert-news-feature.jpg

The underlying plot here is that a virus killed off most of the world's population and those that remained were all rendered blind. Then, somehow, the ones that remained started fighting one another and destroyed the world in the process. This is a curious and stupid part of the story because how the hell are a bunch of people who were recently rendered blind going to be capable of using weapons of mass destruction? Helicopters, airplanes, navy ships, tanks, missile systems, all of these things wouldn't be able to be used effectively so how the hell did they destroy everything?

Also, the fact that in 200 years the entire world managed to be without indoor plumbing or electricity is rather odd since there would be some sort of chance that the people who survived the virus would have been able to keep at least some of this stuff going. Yet almost everyone has returned to living like cavemen and at the start of season one we see that someone is literally living in a cave. Yet at the same time these people are able to make rather complex houses, defense mechanisms, as well as rather intricate farming tools and swords. It doesn't make sense.

Also, there are some people that somehow (it isn't explained) possess a sort of magical power to detect where someone is or even where groups of people are. There are also people that can move soundlessly and while the idea behind this sort of character is interesting, it once again doesn't make a lot of sense as to HOW it is that they came to be this way. It isn't explained at all.

    image.png src

The shadow warriors are admittedly an interesting part of the story, probably the most interesting. They cover themselves in mud and can move around completely undetected by the blind population. They are great scouts and are just creepy as hell. I like the concept but there is zero explanation as to how they ended up this way. The other semi-magical abilities such as being able to sense things and smell things that are really far away are also not explained, we just have to take their word on it that it is true, which is fine if you are an 8 year old but I need a bit more substance in my stories.

In I think it was the very first episode we are lead to believe that the village of our hero Baba Voss is doomed because the upcoming horde has them cornered and there is only one way out, which the enemy controls. It is conveniently at this time that one of the "See-ers" informs the tribe that a bridge was built by the legendary man with the ability of sight to help them out if they need it. The villagers do not believe that this is true but lo' and behold, the tribe walks to a certain point that is extremely close to where they all live and voila! There is a bridge! Do you honestly expect the audience to believe that there was a bridge this close to the village the entire time and NOBODY noticed it? I get that they are blind but they seem to excel at everything else like hunting, building, and fishing and of course we have the magical see-er abilities. Nobody noticed this? If it was built recently by the famed guy that can see wouldn't their super-hearing have been alerted to something going on? It's just stupid and is an unnecessary and forced part of the story so we can have a big showdown on a bridge.

    [src](https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi_vUWF9-nw7kF0ZxNoBQh6hhBhcPnqO5jHNIZ0JOXyYiWex8yBz_YAoY8sINTR4Uqm9h_xwRTPClTP7vEVrSwch1k33TG9CA6ot0d5Cfq4QquQh50cln3yIAyNN4yeKGjMuOoErF5jvZwuezYXfZesWUrBdtl5P9GYKVqUlfD30LoFHQ/w1200-h630-p-k-no-nu/00.jpg)

Combat is bloody and gruesome, which is something I applaud about this series. They did a good job with this even though some of the tactics they use to dispatch their enemies are completely implausible seeing as how nobody has the ability of sight. In a real blind vs. blind combat situation in the woods I think a lot of folks would just be tripping over rocks and running into trees but in this we have people making lightning quick strikes at an opponent on the other side of a room with no problem. It doesn't matter that they have never been to this location before. Also, in group battles how do the warriors know that they aren't ripping apart their own team? Do they all smell the same? How does anyone know who anyone else is without announcing themselves? It doesn't make sense and again it is never explained.

I am not really a huge fan of narration but honestly, seeing as how this series is extremely long and slow-moving, a narrator would have been a welcome addition to the story especially since we sometimes spend 20-30 minutes in a row without anything happening.

    image.png src

Remember how Game of Thrones was applauded for their racy sexual themes and a bunch of nudity? Well See attempts to copy this sexuality but it is extremely awkward and forced including a bizarre masturbation scene involving the queen very early on before we even know very much about her. And of course this is still Apple so some awkward lesbian action is thrown in there as well.

It's as if they tried to directly copy GoT but hired mentally challenged writers to do it for them.

The story moves at a painfully slow pace and really the only thing that happens for the first 13 hours or so is Baba Voss loses his kids and then spends a great deal of time to regain them, only to end up losing them again and then finding them - jesus it is maddeningly stupid.

After 15 episodes or so, I can honestly say that I don't have any idea what the hell the endgame could possibly be here. They spend the entire first season searching for a man with sight named "Jerlamarel" (which is a horrible and forgettable name that nobody can pronounce let alone remember) and once they finally get to him, basically nothing happens and he becomes a non-issue in the story within 20 minutes of us meeting him.

I have mentioned this before but I can't help but think that Dave Bautista was introduced into season two only because the series was doing so poorly and Apple's thinking was that if we had a showdown between two giants like Momoa and Bautista, people will watch again!

    [src](https://static1.moviewebimages.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/article/Jl5hPm70Tt6yIv9nUjMGzBDbgp9i52.jpg)

I mean I guess they were right because I was intrigued but then it quickly becomes evident that both Momoa and Bautista's characters, who are brothers in the show, are basically un-kill-able. They are shot with arrows multiple times - Bautista in the chest near internal organs that definitely would kill someone - they are stabbed, and Baba Voss (Momoa) gets shot with a gun once. Yet an hour or so later he is limping a bit and the next day it's like nothing ever happened. All this is accomplished without any sort of medical care as well. It's stupid!

I don't know why the warriors bother with wearing armor because it doesn't seem to have any sort of protective element to it. There is not a single scene that I recall where armor protected anyone. Why bother?

I'm nearly at the end of season 2 and the writing and pacing of this show is so terrible that I don't actually really care where they are going with this. I may skip ahead to season 3 just to see (pun intended) where this is all going. Based on the review scores of season 3 I suspect that it probably doesn't get all that much better. Momoa has shown me one thing because of this though and that is that the dude can't act. He has no range. He is a believable warrior but he completely fails when it comes to scenes where he has to show compassion to his wife and children. I don't know if this can be entirely blamed on Momoa and it could likely be attributed to very poor writing.

I previously had given See a rating of "maybe" but now I am going to change that. I wish I had spent those 15 hours on literally anything else. Do not waste your time!

stay-away.jpg The only legal way to stream this, and I highly advise that you do not, is on AppleTV+

  4. See (series) is losing me, I think I will jump ship soon@netflixr785d

I struggled to get through season 1 of the Jason Momoa series SEE because of the fact that it is boring. The only reason why I stuck around was because according to online reviews, season 2 is much better but you wont know what is going on in season 2 unless you suffer through season 1.

After the rather lackluster performance of season 1 it is amazing to me that they even greenlit a 2nd season but I think there were a lot of people that will just watch anything that AppleTV makes because, and let's be fair here, they are one of the better content providers in the streaming game right now.

I entered season 2 really expecting things to become amazing but here I am, on episode 4 and all that has really happened is a complete reversal or just ignoring of the events that took place in season 1.

    image.png src

There will be spoilers in this so I encourage you to turn around unless you have already seen this or have no intention of watching it. Know that I do NOT encourage most people to watch this show because while the concept of the film is sound, the entire thing is drug out over the course of a now, 12 hours, when it all could have been encapsulated in a 90 minute to 2 hour film, easily.

    Spoiler-alert-news-feature.jpg

So in season one we spend a grueling 8 hours getting our way to an objective that we don't really see that much about but only hear about and briefly see. It is about a man called the easily forgettable name of "Jerlamarel " who is rumored to be one of the first people in existence on the earth that has the ability to use his eyes for sight. As you may recall the entire premise behind the whole series is that when humanity destroyed itself, the people that remained were genetically altered to not have eyesight and the entire population of the planet has been blind for centuries.

We are on a path to find this Jarlamarel for almost the entirety of season 1 and when we do finally meet him in the final episode the interactions are very quickly dismissed and thrown aside despite the fact that honestly, almost everything that was put on screen for 7 hours up to that point was based around the absolute importance of finding this man. He is in and out of the picture in 1.5 episodes and is only briefly referred to from that point forward.

    image.png src

I will refer to him as "Jel" from this point forward because I can't be bothered with remembering how to spell his ridiculous name.

Jel's children that BabaVoss (Momoa) has been raising for 18 years finally make it to his stronghold far from the village that they started in by a bizarre and completely implausible set of twists and turns. When we encounter the pathway that leads to the entrance of his palace of sorts, we are greeted by blind archers who have incredibly pinpoint accuracy based solely on someone stepping on a leaf. This is impractical at best, most likely impossible. It is also a situation that could easily be worked around simply by having some people make a huge amount of noise near this chokepoint or waiting for a thunderstorm. Realism be damned though, right?

Well, the two children of Jel are allowed through and it is at this point that we find out that he has like a dozen people staying with him, all of which have sight. He also has a ton of blind henchmen that work to help him defend the palace despite the fact that, as we are told, the entire world is very opposed to the very notion of sight because it has been declared that sight is what destroyed the world. Everyone in the series other than the people that were born with it, don't even know what "sight" even means. It is a concept that they cannot even fathom.

Our time in Jel's palace ends quickly because despite the rather ludicrous and seemingly pointless amount of effort that Jel put into creating his isolated palace and the fact that he is the only person on earth apparently that has fucking assault rifles, he is subjected to the demands of a nearby tribe of warlords who do not have the ability to see. A rational thing to have happen in this situation would be that he and his group of 12 or so people that occupy his fortress, which is a PRISON by the way and therefore would be very difficult to break into.... well they would just blast them with bullets or arrows before they even had the chance to get near it.

    image.png src

The only way to even get there was through the ravine that has blind archers at the tops of it as well as a bridge with massive cement barricades on the other end. It seems to me like this would be an easily defended chokepoint where the defenders regardless of their numbers could easily hold off any number of potential invaders.

Baba Voss (Momoa) initially stays behind at Jel's request because he is aware of the fact that there is no way that he could make it to the other side alive. Well I guess that notion disappeared off screen for "some reason" because less than an hour later he pops up magically on not just the other side of the bridge but at the back of the prison fortress that can only be accessed by passing through the ravine and bridge as well as the entirety of the locked prison itself. He does this in the nick of time right at the exact moment that his adopted son is about to be executed.

This sort of "fast travel" with no explanation as to how it might be possible at all is something that annoys me in anything on screens big or small. I don't like the "somehow" aspect of anything. It irritated the hell out of me in Star Wars and it irritates me with everything else as well.

After getting his son back, Baba Voss goes through a drawn out and very unlikely fight with Jel, again, who has both guns and the ability to see, where of course Baba emerges victorious simply by turning off the lights. In this scene, which is wonderfully choreographed by the way, Jel, who now can't see anything, would merely need to run to the entrance of the now dark library to the light that exists outside and wait for Momoa to come staggering out there and then shoot him. Does this happen? Of course not. Instead he wanders around the dark bookstacks until he is eventually overcome by his blind opponent.

I don't have a problem with Baba Voss winning this fight. I have a problem with HOW he achieved victory because it is so ludicrous. Oh, all of his henchmen are not around for any of this fight for, i dunno, I guess it was their lunch break or something.

After this Baba and his newly recaptured son who just moments ago he was willing handing over to Jel are now headed to where Baba's other sighted child has been taken, the city of Trivantes.

    https://static.wikia.nocookie.net/appletv-see/images/1/16/Trivantes.png/revision/latest?cb=20210910182326 src

This shell of a once modern city is inhabited exclusively by sightless people.... well, kinda. Although we have spent the entire show up to now being told that nobody has the ability of sight, we keep running into more and more people who have sight and while I am not saying the original storyline was actually good, to completely reverse it at this point for whatever reason makes even less sense. It kind of loses the unique aspect of it all as we are introduced to person after person that has the ability to see when the entire premise of the show is that sight is something that nobody has.

    [src](https://static1.srcdn.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/See-Dave-Bautista-Eden-Epstein.jpg)

Dave Bautista is introduced into the cast as Baba's brother and I presume that this was just because they needed someone as big as Jason Momoa to make it believable. It is believable, and it is also stupid because yet again, the rather intense and "impossible to enter" defenses of this long-held stronghold of a city is easily thwarted by just a few people and once again, despite the fact that the daughter is apparently something that absolutely must be protected she is rather easily rescued.

    image.png src

Chained to a gurney, Baba Voss' daughter is being watched by a single woman guard and this reminds me of Austin Powers and how they would always place him in easily escapable situations. Of course this guard is revealed to also have the ability of sight even though she pretends as though she doesn't. She has somehow managed to keep this a secret from everyone in the city and the military, from childhood to her adult years. Oh and this is still AppleTV+ so of course we have to throw this in there.

    image.png src

Whatever. I've just gotten used to it at this point and if they were to not throw some sort of homosexual something or other in to a series on Apple I would be genuinely surprised.

So far, I have been through 4 hours (fell asleep during hour 4) in season 2 and essentially nothing has happened except a drawn out rescue of the daughter by the hands of Baba Voss being able to somewhat seamlessly infiltrate what is meant to be the best stronghold that this part of the world is aware exists. He is able to do this without ever having been to these locations and without the gift of sight. Seems plausible, right?

There are other things going on as well but as of yet but the mad-with-power Queen side of things is even less interesting and slower-moving than what is going on with Baba Voss and his giving his kids away only to need to rescue them an hour later sort of thing. I don't really even pay much attention to it.

So basically, what started out as an interesting take on dystopian Earth with a very clear mission of finding this "Jel" person to immediately eliminating him from the story almost entirely. Now, because we went on this mission to find him at all in the first place, we are creating a "backtracking mission" of reuniting the parents and their children which wouldn't be necessary if they hadn't gone on the mission in the first place.

If this sounds stupid trust me, watching it with your capable eyes is just as bad. The series has some good action, but I can only watch Momoa scape his sword on the floor searching for people to stab so many times before this stops being interesting. We need to also remember that most of the major battle characters have been stabbed, slashed, shot with arrows, left unconscious inside of a burning building, and even shot with guns at this point yet no one is showing any ill effects from this despite the fact that there is no modern medical care available at all, anywhere.

They even managed to fuck up the once quite inventive intro sequence. Previously they had attempted to silently show what the world might "look" like to someone without sight but in season 2 they made some sort of really cheesy change to an intense Game of Thrones type of thing where they show major parts of where the story is taking place with an absolutely horrible song going along with it.

The story is also extremely drug out because it is clear they NEED to fill up 8 hours with just anything they can get their hands on.

This was a "maybe" before and for some people it still might qualify as such. But I will admit I am getting dangerously close to downgrading this to "stay away." I suppose I can still see the merit of this show because the scenery and costumes are epic but unfortunately it comes with an absurdly impossible story that rarely makes any sense at all.

  5. See (series): It's ok, but is absolutely loaded with time-wasting filler@netflixr789d

I'm not sure how this one managed to fly below my radar for as long as it did because I do quite like Jason Momoa ever since I was first introduced to him in Game of Thrones. I also tend to enjoy dystopian tales of earth... well, that is if they are done well. There are so many of them that the lines between that is good and what is crap changes every couple of months it seems.

This one had a unique take on the rebuilding of the Earth after humans wiped everything out in that everyone on Earth has lost the ability of vision to the point where life has completely changed including combat, which honestly, I thought would be quite difficult for them to pull off.

    [src](https://i.ytimg.com/vi/7Rg0y7NT1gU/maxresdefault.jpg)

We start out in small village that is lead by Baba Voss (Momoa) as their general, and how his wife is giving birth to twins right as the village is getting word that they are being invaded, for reasons that are made clear as the first episode carries on. As is the main theme of the show, the acting done to show that everyone is blind now is done really well, with actors wearing either something over their eyes, or they have in contact lenses that make their eyes all glazed over. I'm sure they had to practice quite a lot as far as how a blind person would engage with the world and of course to never divert their eyeballs towards someone that they are speaking to.

    image.png src

When they do enter the first battle I was curious as to how they could pull off a large fight between two groups where no one has the ability of sight but they did pull it off. Humans, just like blind people that you may know now, have developed increased abilities in other sense such as super hearing and sense of smell to determine where the approaching hoard happens to be at the time. They also wave whips around their heads for those who are in the front of the pack to identify obstacles and enemies near them. It's all done exceptionally well and it is believable that this is actually how two armies, neither of which have the ability of sight, would engage with one another.

    image.png src

To say that the first episode was a "cracker" of a good time would be an understatement because it was done phenomenally well and I was very entertained for the entire one hour. Unfortunately, it seems as though they have followed the typical "epic series with not as much money as they would like to have" formula because things slow down a LOT just in the 2nd episode alone. Just like has been done with so many series in the past, they switch over from fast-paced storyline where every scene is essential to the overall story and instead of "set pieces" where a ton of dialogue is taking place and for the most part, you just get really tired of it and start to have a "get on with it already!" attitude about the show in general.

Most episodes would consist of one major event that happens for 10 minutes or so and then 50 minutes of painfully slow what I refer to as "filler." This is the problem when a studio determined beforehand that they need a certain number of episodes, with each episode filling up a certain amount of time. While I am not yet finished with the first season's 8 episodes, I can honestly say that almost nothing has happened in the last 3-4 of them. There's a bunch of talking in circles and then even more dialogue followed by more dialogue. I'm not the kind of person that needs (or even wants) non-stop action throughout an entire series or episode, but it's just so boring to have them talk and talk and talk and talk when all that is really being done here is to waste time so that we can get to the climactic scene that inevitably takes places in the last 5-10 minutes of every episode. This formula is used too frequently and even Game of Thrones was guilty of it.

    [src](https://imgix.bustle.com/uploads/image/2019/10/27/033ba902-dab2-451b-8fc4-11690577e2ee-screen-shot-2019-10-27-at-83302-am.png?w=248&q=50&dpr=2)

In one particularly frustrating scene, Baba is leading a small crew of villagers following a group of "slavers" that have kidnapped his son. They are just steps away from where the son has been taken to and time is definitely of the essence because he will be sold and moved very quickly if they don't proceed fast. Instead of having a "time is of the essence" attitude that would definitely be the case in a real-life version of this, they stop on the outside of the city to have a near 10 minute conversation about their pasts rather than continue forward. This isn't the first time that they have done this on this one journey either. They are meant to be in hot pursuit of the kidnappers, but because they need to waste more time they instead stop and have a bunch of time-wasting chats along the way.

It seems to me that at least one person in the group would be like "hey guys, can we save this argument for later? We kind of need to keep moving."

There are many other instances of exactly this sort of thing happening as well.

    image.png src

Given the fact that this series was likely wildly expensive to create I can understand why they would feel compelled or even required to do this. That doesn't mean that I have to agree that it was a good idea though. This 8-episode first series could have easily been 3 or 4 episodes and all the garbage that they shove in the middle of each episode could have simply been omitted and the audience would still get all of the story.

    Should I watch it?

It is visually incredible and the way in which they present how a completely blind society could function is actually very nice and believable. The dystopian elements such as technology of earth from hundreds of years prior existing around them without them knowing what the hell all of it actually is, is also done very well. The location where they shot in Canada is perfect as well. Basically, they did a lot right with this series and I am just a bit disappointed that they somehow managed to make this epic series so incredibly boring just by attempting to extend it to be longer than it needed to be with so much trivial dialogue that repeats itself many many times.

I still think it is worth seeing (pun intended) but I think a lot of people will drop off because it just lulls so much in the middle of the very first season. Perhaps, much like GoT, it really picks up later, but I am only still watching it because I don't have any alternative at the moment. "Drags itself forward at a lugubrious pace" are the words of one professional critic and I had to look up waht lugubrious actually means. Upon learning that new word, I completely agree.

The first season had rather terrible scores but season 2 doubled in popularity. So for now at least, I am going to stick with it but in all fairness I can't really recommend this to people and can only give it a "maybe." If you have already watched Fallout then maybe give this one a shot if you have nothing else on your plate.

Time to SEE what it’s all about 👀

I recently completed one of my favorite shows that I’ve watched in a very long time. I’m of course talking about the Apple TV+ series called See starring Jason Mamoa.

I started this back in 2019 and then didn’t have access to this subscription service finish season 2 and 3. Now that I have a VIP membership on flixtor.to I was finally able to watch all of the episodes. It was a long wait, but this show is so good and it was very well worth my time.

To briefly give you an idea of what the show is about:

Humans are living more of a tribal lifestyle set in the future after humanity collapses. 99.9% of people are born blind and anybody who has vision is considered a witch.

There’s a whole lot of action, drama, interesting characters, cool landscapes, and even a bit of incest. It’s like Game of Thrones mixed with Horizon Zero Dawn/Forbidden West (minus the robot dinosaurs).

I really can’t recommend this show enough, whether or not you’re a big Jason Mamoa fan or not. It’s honestly just very well done and stays interesting from start to finish.

Watch today’s video for a much more in depth talk about See. Don’t worry, there are no major spoilers and I try to give my personal opinion about the series rather than just tell you about every little thing that happened in it.

See was a series released by Apple several years ago, it was first announced as the next major TV production, and even though it was certainly a fun ride, I wouldn't say this series is a masterpiece.

For me, it is just a fun and unique adventure series with a lot of originality regarding the story's settings. To provide just a short summary, the story takes place in the future but people live like in the Middle Ages because they are all blind. The conflicts throughout the series change a lot but ultimately I believe this story had a proper ending and for me, it was surely worth watching.

This isn't the most epic story I have enjoyed, but it was more than OK and I consider it one of the best productions released by Apple so far.

Greetings friends and receive all a warm welcome to my publication.

Today I come to share a review of the third season of See, a series that I shared not long ago, I saw the first and second season, which has been very interesting and good, the great actor who is being very recognized lately for his wonderful performances called Jason Momoa, is playing his role as the main protagonist Baba Voss.

Really the whole series has seemed to me totally good, remember that the story is based on a great blind society, few are those who have vision, among them enters the stepdaughter, stepson of Baba Voss, called Kofun and Haniwa, who inherited the power of vision thanks to the genes of Jarlamarel, who we will know in the first and second season of this series.

There are many things that I have noticed in this series, which raises many questions and at the same time with some conclusions.

If you have seen this series I invite you to leave me a comment about your point of view, it would be great fun and good to see the conclusion of other users.

But before the questions and conclusions about this series as a whole, I will mention a little of what I know about this last season of the series (for sure apparently there will be another season, just do not know when).

In this third season the brother of Baba Voss is no longer there for mysterious reasons, so the first war, both kingdoms, a new war to have the total power of an entire nation, Queen Kane has an evil plan in her hands, so we will know a strange artifact that makes divide the earth itself, many call it the scourge of god, causing much destruction in this new war. Only in order to bring peace between the two nations, but leaving a mystery in between to know how long the peace will last and why so much thirst for power.

    PREGUNTAS Y CONCLUSIONES:

    QUESTIONS AND CONCLUSIONS:

Why is everyone blind in this series?

In the series itself they don't reveal anything about why they all suffer from blindness, they all mention that it is a curse from God, something that doesn't enter my understanding in this series.

If there is something that I have been able to notice, is that apparently before these people there was a great civilization, which is described as the ancients, that is to say that before them there were people with vision, for that reason I came to this question.

I have been able to understand many things, as the civilization of the ancients was quite advanced, apparently there were nuclear weapons and that, through a nuclear war, all the inhabitants who were far from this great war were affected with the loss of vision by the radiation of these nuclear weapons.

And that from generation to generation babies are born with this failure between their genes by the radiation of nuclear weapons, even we can see in this series that babies are born with some defect that goes far beyond our understanding.

    Fuente / Source

Why are there still people with vision?

This is when we will meet Jarlamarel the biological father of Kofun and Haniwa, if in fact there was an ancient civilization because the structures that we will see here are quite advanced, I conclude that people like Jarlamarel were from other countries and came to this country in search of something or because they really wanted to venture.

As these people with vision have intimate relationships with the blind, because of their genes they make babies born with vision, this is when Kofun and Haniwa enter, in the series there are many books in which these young people manage to acquire knowledge, having the power of vision they could do many things, but in dangerous situations their vision turns them into weak people, even being older Baba Voss has had to take care of them as if they were babies for the simple fact that they can see and are frightened by any dangerous situation.

    Fuente / Source

Why do witch hunters seek and kill those who have vision?

This is something logical, the blind can not read books much less can do experiments with chemistry to discover new ways to destroy the world, but those who have vision if they can do it, for that reason the queen Kane creates this group of brave warriors to kill anyone who has vision.

If a great war was provoked with the ancients, the last thing the blind want is that another war breaks out again that could even destroy the world.

I really found the series very good and entertaining, I have nothing negative about it, except that some characters earned my contempt for being the way they are, something very common when we see this kind of series or movies.

For me the character that earned my contempt and hatred is Queen Kane, because of her many wars break out and so many innocent lives are in danger, even in the search for the witch hunters, which was she who created them to kill them all.

At the end of the series gave me to understand that there will be another season, but we will have to wait for when they will reveal this information, but honestly for me it is not the same to continue watching it, when you see this series you will understand why and it is not because it has been bad, it is quite the opposite.

  9. SERIES REVIEW: See || Your Eyes Deceive You [ENG-ESP]@olujay1347d

See is a television series. And yeah, that is simply its title. It's quite weird to say "See series." But it explicitly describes what it really is about. However, contrary to its literal meaning, it is mostly about blind people.

    F177AE61-3E0F-4438-8013-15E3E4D490B5.jpeg

I am not sure how I learned about this series, but when I did find it and check what it was about, I became interested. The concept that humanity had lost the ability to see made me wonder just how they were going to pull it off in not just an hour and 40 minute film, but an actual series. I just could not imagine what it could be about and, hence, I clicked on "download" to commence with the first episode.

Ever since then, I have never once looked back on my decision with regret. This is because there were births to more concepts that were so intriguing that at the end of the first season, a whole year to get to the next seemed more like a century.

Yes, I glued with the show for three good years, and I did so with patience, just like you would do so for your lover, or not... But you get the point. I did not feel discouraged by the gaps between each season. But thankfully, all seasons are available and one can binge-watch like life's a joke.:)

Let's get into it, shall we? Yes, we shall... Let's go!

    k75bsZMwYNu2L3iBMXq5y7xeiy1isFJsZxnMZSXuXEsxe4ee1cUkGyPif8ef4kj4QubNTwLseV2NZbTNZy6P1qxReUd94FRyJmM99siQsM52fx8YNAGPHDwg2P1ZKhzNwpTiVgCeFR8rLuRef3rJMZgnXrchSic6a.png

    𝔸𝔹𝕆𝕌𝕋 𝕋ℍ𝔼 𝕊𝔼ℝ𝕀𝔼𝕊

A virus hit humanity and wiped most of it out. A few people survived, but their descendants lost their sight. In a dystopian future In a dystopian future when the human race has lost its ability to see, they have found new ways to interact and survive in their environments without vision. However, the concept of vision has become a myth, and any mention of it is considered heresy.

Knowledge of everything in the time of the sighted has now been long forgotten, and humanity has now regressed into a medieval-like civilization. They believe in gods and take the sun to be "godflame."

    image.png Source

A woman, Maghra, in the land of the Alkenny, gives birth to two sighted children, and all that has been is now challenged. Sighted people are considered cursed and are called witches. They are highly stigmatized in societies where they are found. A group of "witch-finders," put in place by Queen Kane to find and kill witches, are sent out to find and deal with them. However, Baba Voss, a mighty and renowned warrior who is greatly feared by whoever knows him, happens to be the father of these sighted children.

In search of the destruction of these witches and their heretic parents, nations rise against nations, people turn their backs on themselves, tribes are destroyed, and crisis and chaos ensue. Vision is returning, but the world may not be prepared for it.

    k75bsZMwYNu2L3iBMXq5y7xeiy1isFJsZxnMZSXuXEsxe4ee1cUkGyPif8ef4kj4QubNTwLseV2NZbTNZy6P1qxReUd94FRyJmM99siQsM52fx8YNAGPHDwg2P1ZKhzNwpTiVgCeFR8rLuRef3rJMZgnXrchSic6a.png

    𝕄𝕐 𝕋ℍ𝕆𝕌𝔾ℍ𝕋𝕊 & 𝕆ℙ𝕀ℕ𝕀𝕆ℕ

Many people will actually find the concept of humanity being plagued by blindness quite fascinating. In fact, the first few episodes may not provide the thrills that are anticipated. And the thing about series is that they usually have to start from a development point of view. This is to form the foundation upon which the story will be built. Hence, one will need to embrace the "humble beginnings."

However, I do know that I was gripped from the pilot episode as I was intrigued by what would happen next. And it went on like that through the whole series.

    image.png

The See TV series depicts a dystopian world where humanity will have to forge ahead without one of its five senses; the ability to see. It delves into the intricacies of the lives of blind people; how they feel and perceive the world. A perfectly dark world, one might think. But this series presents a whole new perspective and portrays different ways the world can be perceived without the power of sight.

It does well to portray sight in a manner contrary to the conventional notion that the ability to see makes us more powerful, when the truth is that our enablements and/or shortcomings do not define who we really are. What we now have here in this series are mind-altering concepts about the world of the blind.

    sᴛᴏʀʏʟɪɴᴇ

The See series depicts the point of view that sight is one of the biggest problems of humanity. Even though it may have been quite cataclysmic to have humanity lose one of its five senses, the perspective was turned up-side-down in this case. The perspective we now have in this film is that the blind are regular people and the sighted are the "cursed" ones.

One of the most intriguing aspects of the series is how in-depth it goes: from families to different communities and tribes, from love to hate, desperation and determination, discrimination to betrayal. It had a lot going on in different episodes, so much so that every episode's ending was a cliffhanger.

    image.png Source

Action was not far from this series' plot either. There were actual fight scenes that were always engrossing. Just imagine a war between two tribes; two tribes of blind people. You can see how the blind relied heavily on their other senses to interact with their surroundings.

Another thing I'd like to mention is the story's progression from how it all started to when things got messy for the rest of the season. Such a sublime transition, whilst gently carrying its audience along.

    ᴄʜᴀʀᴀᴄᴛᴇʀ ᴅᴇᴠᴇʟᴏᴘᴍᴇɴᴛ

This is a new aspect of filmography that I will be talking about henceforth, but it will only apply to series for now. Many times, you only have the protagonist(s) in a movie (that will only run for a short time), which does not allow for a thorough presentation of the story from the various perspectives of the various characters involved. But with TV shows that are episodic, they allow for an in-depth approach to the entire story that is to be presented.

I personally felt a deep sense of connection with the majority of the main characters in this series. It was as though each one of them had a story intertwined with the main story that needed telling in order to give wholeness to the entire story.

They also have really interesting names in this TV series. They are quite catchy and definitely well thought of. As a matter of fact, there are not many names that are commonly heard (at least in films), which does present the film with a timeline that isn't from now or the past, but centuries away.

    ᴄɪɴᴇᴍᴀᴛᴏɢʀᴀᴘʜʏ & ᴍᴜsɪᴄ

I am most intrigued by this aspect of this film. And this is because the visual representation and brilliance of the music in the story was in a form that sure proved that so much effort, time, and thoughts were put into this movie.

    image.png Source

When you are presenting a film that's out of the ordinary (say a never-seen-before concept), you need to make sure that everything goes right with the film. This includes ensuring perfection in the tiniest details. This is not to say that the TV show is "perfect," but the intricate details to nuances of the costumes, sound, camera angles, framing, color, lighting, and so on are quite amazing.

I commend the production team involved. In my book, they have done a pretty great job of delivering one of the best series that I have come across. And their efforts made it so for me.

    ᴀᴄᴛɪɴɢ

There is no way you are going to have an epic series like this without the use of excellent actors and actresses. It just will not work without them. You just can not tell a story effectively in films with actors incapable of delivering the characters just as they should be done.

We had big shots in this film, like Jason Momoa and Dave Bautista. But that did not mean that only their performances were commendable, as they did a very good job. Like I have earlier established...

I personally felt a deep sense of connection with the majority of the main characters.

This was only possible with the excellent performances of all the main characters. If I did begin to mention them all, this would be too long of a review. But I will just mention a few actors that I am particularly impressed with.

Sylvia Hoeks played Queen Kane, the antagonist of the show. Her performance in delivering a role that is designed to be dramatic was spot-on perfect. Her character is the type that one may term "crazy," and she was just excellent with it. You might as well need to see the film for yourself to truly understand the depth of her performance. She was the antagonist, but her role in the series appears to be crucial.

    image.png Source

Jason Momoa, popularly known as Aquaman, played Baba Voss. A strong and mighty warrior who would stop at nothing to stand for the ones he loves and cares about. He played a character that I attribute "indestructible" to. And I think that Jason was just perfect for this role. He had the body size, the voice, and then the personality that were reflected so well throughout the series.

    image.png Source

And then, my absolute favourite, Hera Hilmar. She played the mother of the two sighted children. A mother who had to make the toughest decisions in the story. Her portrayal of the right emotions at the right time and in the right manner throughout the whole series was epic.

    image.png Source

There are many more amazing actors and actresses in this series, but to save your time, we'd stop here.:)

    k75bsZMwYNu2L3iBMXq5y7xeiy1isFJsZxnMZSXuXEsxe4ee1cUkGyPif8ef4kj4QubNTwLseV2NZbTNZy6P1qxReUd94FRyJmM99siQsM52fx8YNAGPHDwg2P1ZKhzNwpTiVgCeFR8rLuRef3rJMZgnXrchSic6a.png

    𝕄𝕐 𝔽𝕀ℕ𝔸𝕃 𝕋ℍ𝕆𝕌𝔾ℍ𝕋𝕊...

From start to finish, there was not a time that I felt regret for starting and following this series. From start to finish, I felt more and more engrossed. It is an addictive show, if you ask me. It is one that one could spend hours on end trying to follow through. It all felt very much like I was in the story, rather than being told the story.

See is a series that may not fit the taste of every kind of person, but it will always be a series I will recommend to anyone, anytime and any day. This is because it is a series that encompasses a lot that we have not seen much of in films lately.

It has only three seasons, with each having about eight episodes of an hour's run time. And that seems to be all that we will have of it. However, if there is going to be another sequel, maybe one more season, or a movie to stretch it a little, I am so jumping at it.

Without further ado, I am giving the film a rating of...

Como he establecido anteriormente...

Greetings friends and receive all a warm welcome to my publication.

Today I present you a series that I started watching recently, this series is called SEE, where we can find the actor Jason Momoa playing his role in this story called Baba Voss.

Jason Momoa is standing out lately in the movies and series he is working in recently, if you have seen GOT (Game of Throne) for sure you will recognize him, his role in that series was the same Khal Drogo, I have even seen him in the Aquaman movie, since his acting in his roles has been amazing, in fact, he is becoming one of my favorite actors.

What can we find in this series?

I will try to explain it to you in a way that I can't reveal any Spoilers.

Basically, this series tells us the story of Baba Voss (Jason Momoa), who has fallen in love and married a woman named Maghra (Hera Hilmar), which has brought to life two beautiful children, but these babies are not of Baba Voss, but he adopted them as if they were his own children and has taken care of them until they are 18 springs old.

The most amazing thing is that all these inhabitants have no vision, that is, they are all blind, so they have received very surprising auditory abilities to be able to do great things like a sighted person, except reading and manipulating machines.

    Fuente / Source

The environment in which the story takes place is like primitive, but in a way between ancient and futuristic, only that these people have not yet discovered the technology, in fact, their weapons are bows and knives, also their clothes are made of animal skins that they kill when hunting.

I really found this series very interesting because it talks about the life of blind people, believe it or not, these people can do great things without their vision, the way they fight all of them are very good, especially Baba Voss.

    Fuente / Source

Baba Voss was a jailer man who was dedicated to kidnapping people to sell them and was also a bounty hunter, so he was the most popular jailer in the area where he lived, eventually he met his wife Maghra when she was a few months pregnant, so he wanted to leave all his past life behind and start a new chapter of his life, and this time, it would be next to his children.

Although despite his reckless appearance, believe me that when it comes to fighting he is also reckless, there are chapters in which this man lets out his personality of a jailer showing us a fantastic fighting show like I've never seen before in another series.

The only acting that I don't like very much is that of Baba Voss' adopted sons, since I feel that they lack the essence to be able to interpret their characters well, but the rest is impeccable for my tastes in series and movies.

There are two types of believers, if we talk about religions, there are the ancient gods and the current ones, here we can see a queen (goddess) who tries to find the love of her life just to have the blessing of vision, remember that everyone in this series are blind, except some chosen by the light.

But one of the characters that I hate the most in this series so far is Queen Kane (Sylvia Hoeks), since she calls herself a goddess of everything, but the most unpleasant scenes are when she prays to her gods, so she does it by having sexual intimacy or masturbation, but everyone despises her for being the way she is, but what I do emphasize is that this series is not suitable for children under 15 years, as there are scenes of sexual content (very few in at least the first 4 chapters) and violence.

    Fuente / Source

This series falls into the genres of Drama and Science Fiction. The first season consists of 8 chapters with an approximate duration of 1 hour.

Everyone in the tribe blames the wife of Baba Voss for the things that happened to his tribe, they accuse her of being a witch because since she came to their land the witch hunters have not stopped chasing them and threaten them with their lives if they do not deliver this woman.

But Baba Voss is there to stop them and challenges them in combat, to whoever dares to lay a single hand on his wife, but...

Who will be able to fight against the formidable beast?

Nobody dares, since Baba Voss is the tallest and strongest of his tribe, he is also the one who keeps safe the village they avoid and he is the captain of the hunters and scouts, for that reason they respect him.

    Conclusion.

There are many mysteries and strange things in the story of all these characters, but the atmosphere, the interpretation of the characters and the learning that the adopted sons of Baba Voss have are very good.

I've always wondered how blind people can see, apparently they show us in this series that it's through sound, by the fact that they develop hearing abilities like bats.

I must confess that the first chapters of the first season I almost stopped watching it because I was not convinced by its story and the way the plot was spun, making it a bit confusing and perhaps even implausible, but then it began to improve and the scenes of the Combats with other tribes were impressive and credible, in hand-to-hand fights, something that pleasantly surprised me and as the series went through the chapters it was improving, reaching the end of the first season leaving us wanting to see more.

The second season that ended a few months ago is in my opinion much superior to the first, the character of Baba Voss (Jason), he faces situations that may put his family at risk and decisions that he must accept, this season his adopted children They grew up and they will have to make their own decisions. Without wanting to spoil for those who have not yet seen the series, it is as I said at the beginning that humanity for unknown reasons is blind, but a hope is born when children with the ability to see begin to appear, but they are considered heresy because their births bring destruction to humanity, which was about to be extinguished by wars between sighted humans.

This second season gives us light to certain events of the past that today have repercussions in the future, the changes that are coming in the beliefs and dogmas of society with these births, the advantages that those who can see have and the power that it entails, only They are a preamble to what was this wonderful season that is by far the best of the series so far, we will wait for a new season with eagerness to see what will happen with Baba Voss's family, with his enemies and how society will adapt to these changes. If you haven't seen the series, do it, for me this season is a 10 for its plot, action and photography.

  12. [ENG + ESP] See season 2 (7.5/10) - "a child should never be taken from its true mother"@dedicatedguy1675d

    image.png

    English

    Español

When Apple announced their streaming service a couple of years ago, they introduced this series as their main production, and potentially as a series that could even rival Game of Thrones. I have to say I was quite hyped about See since I first saw its trailer, and it was reported at that time that each episode of the first season had a budget of 15 million, which means this is clearly a super production.

I was happy with season 1 but it was clear this show wasn't really a masterpiece and that it was not even close to actually competing with the great GOT. Nevertheless, the show was enjoyable, and it provided an original story that I found interesting enough, so I decided to continue watching it. I don't know if the pandemic had anything to do with this, but they lasted almost 2 years in releasing the new season instead of the standard waiting time which would be 1 year, but anyways, I was happy to give this new season a watch.

    What was the series about?

The events in See take place centuries in the future after most of humanity has been decimated by a virus and most of them have lost sight. They have been forced to develop new ways to live, maintain civilization and communicate. Due to their blindness, they are unable to have an industrial civilization so they live like medieval times, and in fact, I believe their civilization is good enough taking into account most of them are blind.

In season 1 many people believed there were zero humans with sight, there was an evil army who hunted down people with sight and called them witches, and there was also an isolated group of people who were always willing to protect any human with sight. The problem for them was that for generations no human with sight has been found, that is until 2 babies are born with functioning eyes. This was the plot of season 1.

As the story progresses, we eventually learn there are more people with sight apart from these 2 babies, and it seems that humanity can finally begin its rebirth. The problem is that there are too many powerful individuals who refused to accept people with sight and wish for their destruction.

Baba Voss is the adoptive father of the sighted children and a fearless fighter with a very violent past. This guy can pretty much defeat anyone in battle and most people know him for being ruthless and fierce. He will be the main character of the story, but his importance gets reduced a little bit in season 2.

Season 1 finishes with a great twist regarding the mother of the 2 babies with sight and her past, which is something she has kept in secret until that moment. Season 2 is about the mother coming to terms with her past and becoming a key person in establishing a new order that is much more open to accepting and embracing people with sight.

There is a very powerful villain who leads the biggest army in that entire region, and since the beginning of the season, it becomes very clear a big battle is building up. There will be several strategic political alliances, but the main goal of the plot is to slowly advance the acceptance of people with sight, and I believe eventually these people will become the new leaders of humanity. So far, every character with sight has been young, so as they grow old they will surely earn more power and influence.

Something that I feel this series is missing is the introduction of more mysticism, and maybe even some magic into the plot. The best medieval stories usually have some magic involved, like GOT for example, and since most people are blind in this series, it would be cool if they somehow rediscovered ancient knowledge similar to magic. This hasn't happened but at least there is a blind woman with a very powerful sense of clairvoyance.

Season 2 leaves several important characters in almost perfect circumstances so, in a way, it feels like it could be the end of the story, however, it makes it clear there will be an upcoming villain so I guess the story will continue. Maybe they are aiming at a finale where sighted people have finally taken full control and can begin the reconstruction of modern civilization, but at this pace, it will require a lot of seasons for that big change to take place.

Main names associated with the series

The main director of the second season is Anders Engström, this person usually works directing series and he hardly ever directs a film. Some of the series in which he has recently worked are Helstrom, Hanna, and The Tunnel.

The creator and main writer of the story is Steven Knight. This is an extremely talented writer that's constantly developing new high-quality plots. He is also the main writer of the series Peaky Blinders, and of another cool series called Taboo, among many other productions.

Kirsa Rein also worked in the writing department of the second season as the story editor for all 8 episodes. She doesn't have much experience as a writer and prior to this series she only worked in Orange Is the New Black and Social Distance.

When it comes to the cast, the main member is Jason Momoa. A very popular actor who has worked in a lot of well-known productions such as GOT, and the DC Comics movies where he plays Aquaman. In this series, plays the main character, is blind just like the majority of the people, and after having lived a very violent and bloody past, he is now mostly focused on his wife and her 2 children.

Hera Hilmar plays his wife. This actress is experienced enough and this decade has been very active in her acting career. Recently, she has worked in Da Vinci's Demons, An Ordinary Man, and Life in a Fishbowl.

Recientemente, ha trabajado en Da Vinci's Demons, An Ordinary Man y Life in a Fishbowl.

Sylvia Hoeks plays an evil queen who in the first season hates and hunts down any human with sight. A lot of things change in season 2 but in order to avoid giving spoilers, I prefer only to mention her circumstances of season 1. She is evil, and I believe her character was at least partly inspired by Cersei of GOT, but honestly, this character isn't as charismatic and doesn't feel as authentic as Cersei. This actress has previously worked in Blade Runner 2049, The Girl in the Spider's Web, Berlin Station, and many other productions.

Finally, we have Dave Bautista, who plays the main villain of season 2. This actor is mostly known for his roles in action movies, especially since he started to play Drax in the Guardians of the Galaxy movies. He also worked in Army of the Dead and Escape Plan: The Extractors.

How were the performance from the cast, the scenery and the camera work?

The cast did a good performance but I still find it hard to believe all of these characters are really blind. Their moves are usually too precise, and they almost never bump into each other which is something that would probably happen time and time again if most people were blind. Nevertheless, when it comes to the dramatic plot the cast did a good job.

The scenery was well-done but nothing too surprising for people who are used to seeing medieval settings. This show has the particularity of having a medieval-like setting even though it is actually in the future, and this is properly shown with well-designed scenery. The camera work was also nicely done and there were a couple of cool scenes during a battle in which the camera angle really provided a nice way to look at the events.

    Final thoughts

All in all, the series isn't actually spectacular but it is certainly a high-quality production that most people will probably enjoy watching. The plot is original mainly due to the fact most characters are blind and this allows for a very unique series of events as well as challenges and twists.

Something this series appears to have missing is the existence of a major threat for the future. We all know since the beginning of GOT, that winter was coming and that it will bring deadly threats for everyone. This show doesn't have anything like that for the next seasons if they decide to continue producing this show, and I believe they will, because in the last episode they introduced what will probably be the new villain in season 3 as I mentioned before. Season 1 clearly needed a season 2 to complete that story, but season 2 could very well be the end of this series because there is nothing too important left to explore or develop and the new possible villain appeared out of nowhere and I don't think viewers are too interested in that character.

The series is fun and enjoyable enough, but it is far from being considered a masterpiece despite Apple's original intentions with it. If you like stories with a medieval setting, you will most likely enjoy the originality of See.

    Thanks for reading!

Esta actriz ha trabajado anteriormente en Blade Runner 2049, The Girl in the Spider's Web, Berlin Station, y muchas otras producciones.

También trabajó en Army of the Dead y Escape Plan: Los Extractores.

    image.png

In season two of the post apocalyptic world that is set centuries into the future, The world has been destroyed by pollution and technology and ravaged by a disease that has cursed future generations of children to be born unable to see, except for a brother and sister and a very small percentage of the remaining population, who are hidden and labelled witches, blamed for the disasters and destruction of the old world.

The sighted are hunted by the witch finders, a brutal military force commissioned by the mad evil Queen who is hell bent on power and the destruction of all who oppose her, even her own flesh and blood.

As See season two moves on from this story and takes us on another epic journey and battle between the two most feared clans in the land, families, brothers and sisters, the sighted and the blind fight for survival in a rather enjoyable take of an apocalyptic world destroyed by mankind's greed and lack of understanding.

    image.png

Baba Voss Played by Jason Mamoa is hunted by his vengeful brother A Travantian Commander play by Dave Bautista when his wife's evil sister the Queen declares war on the opposing clan after having her own people killed so she could blame them in season one.

Baba finds himself caught in the middle as he tries to protect his family without killing his brother, who still blames him for their fathers death years prior.

It is an intriguing tail of how fragile the society we live in is, an just how easily the simple things we take for granted such as sight can be blamed for the destruction and pollution by a twisted and warped narrative.

    image.png

In this season their are some unexpected plot twists, when the Queen is removed from the thrown and replaced by her sister the rightful air, the Travantians prepare to attack and there is some amazingly choreographed fight scenes that you will have to watch to believe, I will say that it is a must watch series if you haven't seen it.

What transpires is an action packed sequel to season one, with a unique storyline and a fist full of blind action, supported by a leading cast line up.

There are some interesting moments in the narrative, with plenty of laughs to be had, but the second season is mostly filled with great action scenes especially the last battle between the two opposing clans

    MY CONCLUSION

I really enjoyed the uniqueness of the storyline and the choreographed fight scenes were spectacularly done in a really believable way.

After watching season one I was drawn into the epic battle and shared hope of the people in the story and was rather excited for season two's release, I can honestly say I was not disappointed one bit.

Season two was every bit as good as I expected and I can see this being the start of hopefully a very long series as the plot takes us on more epic journeys as the characters attempt to reunite the sighted and rebuild the world. One epic battle at a time.

See brings us on an epic battle between clans, families, brothers and sisters, sighted and the blind in a rather enjoyable take of an apocalyptic world destroyed by mankinds greed.

    image.png

Jason Momoa plays a Villager who was once a feared warrior now tasked with protecting the children he rared from the a goup of witchfinders know are the Travanties who have attacked their home in the village of Alkenny, the Travanties are blood thirty mercenaries hell bent on wiping out the remaining witches or sighted.

The story takes us on a journey across dangerous war torn wastelands in search of the children's true father a sighted man who it was believed travelled from village to village sleeping with women in an effort to repopulated the world with sighted children in his image, whom he hoped would search him out one day and build a city of the future.

    image.png

However there are many twists and turns along the way, many dangerous roads to be travelled to reunite the children with their Father and many cunningly well thought out and executed battle scenes that could turn this series into an epic blockbuster.

    MY CONCLUSION

I found this first series a really enjoyable and refreshing take on the post apocalyptic genre, there is some really god actors/actresses delivering exceptional character performances as blind warriors, which was really well done and put together, so I am eager to watch the second season which is only half through release, so I am going to wait until I have all the episodes to binge watch and give you my take on that.

I will say thought that I have watched the first episode and was highly impressed, some new all star cast members have been brought on board, building apon the already impressive line-up, so I am expecting big things for See going into the future.
