Un nuevo "OCD Community Boost Contest" ha comenzado y estoy muy feliz que la comunidad elegida sea Movies & TV Shows, está es una de mis comunidades favoritas y en la cual agradezco mi crecimiento en Hive y es por eso que este concurso es importante, no solo para mí sino justamente para la comunidad porque es una gran oportunidad para hacerse conocer, crecer y evolucionar; ahora lo importante, como cada concurso existe ciertas reglas, en esta oportunidad debemos elegir entre tres temas diferentes, yo decidí hacer mi post respondiendo a la pregunta de ¿Cuál es mi villano favorito? Uustedes pueden elegir el que quieran y es por eso que en el próximo link les dejo el post original, échenle un vistazo a todos los pasos a seguir y participen en el OCD Community Boost Contest #5.

A new "OCD Community Boost Contest" has started and I am very happy that the chosen community is Movies & TV Shows, this is one of my favorite communities and in which I appreciate my growth in Hive and that is why this contest is important, not only for me but precisely for the community because it is a great opportunity to be known, grow and evolve; Now the important thing, as every contest there are certain rules, this time we must choose between three different topics, I decided to make my post answering the question Which is my favorite villain? De niño la primera gran saga que vi fue **Star Wars**, una historia con todas las características necesarias para ser épica, un héroe, un hechicero, un pirata con su fiel acompañante, una princesa fuerte y los supuesto un gran villano, uno que tenía una imagen tan imponente que parecía inquebrantable, **Darth Vader**, hasta el nombre provocaba temor, pero lo peor no era eso porque este personaje era inexpresivo, despiadado, sin sentimientos, poderoso, pero aquí no estamos para hablar de **Vader**, aquí estamos para hablar del verdadero villano de esta historia, el más fuerte, inteligente, manipulador y cruel de todos los villanos existentes en esta saga, el que tiene tantos nombres, **Palpatine, El Emperador**... El Gran **Darth Sidious**.

As a child the first great saga I saw was **Star Wars**, a story with all the necessary characteristics to be epic, a hero, a sorcerer, a pirate with his faithful partner, a strong princess and of course a great villain, one that had such an imposing image that seemed unbreakable, **Darth Vader**, even the name provoked fear, but the worst was not that because this character was inexpressive, ruthless, without feelings, powerful, but here we are not to talk about **Vader**, here we are to talk about the real villain of this story, the strongest, smartest, manipulative and cruel of all existing villains in this saga, the one who has so many names, **Palpatine, The Emperor**... The Great **Darth Sidious**.
"El Emperador", así llamé a este gran personaje por mucho tiempo, cuando era niño su rápida y primera participación en The Empire Strikes Back (1980) para mí paso desapercibida, pero es en Return of the Jedi (1983) es donde podemos disfrutar de una mayor presencia del mejor villano, de seguro habrá algunos que todavía a este tiempo podrá pensar que es Vader el máximo villano, pero no, había alguien más, alguien a quien Lord Vader pudiera hablar pausado y con respecto, eso para mí era algo sorprendente, algo que no podía creer y me preguntaba "¿Cómo es posible que esté personaje con la apariencia anciana, débil, extraña pudiera hacer doblegar al poderoso Vader?" Eso fue lo que me hizo pensar por un largo tiempo sobre el poder de este personaje que todavía no habíamos presenciado y eso siempre fue mi gran interrogante después de ver lo que anteriormente era le tercer episodio de esta gran historia.
En 1999 llegó la primera precuela y para mí llegó la primera gran revelación de esta historia, eso fue el nombre no solo como Sith sino el nombre real de "El Emperador"; recuerdo en ese momento en el cine cuando escuché "Darth Sidious", eso para mí fue algo impresionante porque era ver más de este personaje, ver lo primero de su gran plan, ver porque tenía esa imagen antes de lo que se vio en el ahora llamado Episodio VI; sabía que en esta historia era inevitable no tener más protagonismo, pero a la vez descubrí que tenía que esperar para ver lo mejor de este personaje porque justamente su plan era algo que se debía mantener en la oscuridad, escondido para cuando llegara el momento nadie supiera que lo había golpeado de primero.
"The Emperor", that's how I called this great character for a long time, when I was a kid his quick and first participation in The Empire Strikes Back (1980) for me went unnoticed, but it is in Return of the Jedi (1983) is where we can enjoy a greater presence of the best villain, surely there will be some who still at this time may think that Vader is the ultimate villain, but no, there was someone else, someone to whom Lord Vader could speak slowly and with respect, that for me was something amazing, something I could not believe and I wondered "How is it possible that this character with the old, weak, strange appearance could make the mighty Vader bend?" That was what made me think for a long time about the power of this character that we had not yet witnessed and that was always my big question mark after seeing what was previously the third episode of this great story.
In 1999 came the first prequel and for me came the first big revelation of this story, that was the name not only as Sith but the real name of "The Emperor"; I remember at that time in the theater when I heard "Darth Sidious", that for me was something impressive because it was to see more of this character, see the first of his great plan, see why he had that image before what was seen in the now called Episode VI; I knew that in this story it was inevitable not to have more prominence, but at the same time I discovered that I had to wait to see the best of this character because his plan was something that should be kept in the dark, hidden so that when the time came no one would know that I had hit him first.
Y de esta forma su plan se fue llevando a cabo en donde siempre usaba al perfecto peón para ir avanzando en su movida maestra, usando la falta de humildad de los Jedi que era lo que nublaba su juicio y de que el verdadero enemigo siempre estuvo al frente de ellos. Desde el Episodio 6 hasta los dos primeros (Ep. I y Ep. II), en tres films seguidos pudimos ver el poder de manipulación que tenía Darth Sidious, pero en el episodio dos vimos como encontramos que no por siempre estaba escondido en las sombras ya que uso su cara y nombre "original" para seguir su majestuosos plan y no es hasta ser nombrado como "Supreme Chancellor of the Galactic Republic" cuando por fin tiene todo lo necesario para dar no solo el último paso para ser el dueño de tod la república sino el contar como su aliado con el ser más poderoso del universo y ¿Cómo pudo conseguir eso? Cómo en gran parte de esta historia, con el poder de la manipulación, el engaño y la mentira, sin duda él era la mente maestra y usando la fuerza de cada discípulo que lo acompaño según el momento indicado.
Siempre pensé que "El Emperador" era más que la mente maestra y no estaba equivocado, sabía que tenía las habilidades para ser un gran rival usando el Lightsaber y así lo pudimos constatar ya que no solo usaba la mentira y el engaño como arma principal, sino que cuando el momento lo requería, pudiera usar el diferente sable para mostrar su verdadero poder, esto lo hace más fuerte que cualquier otro villano, porque como ya dije anteriormente su plan no era mostrar su fuerza en habilidad para el combate sino idear un plan en donde creara un conflicto en donde toda la república estuviera involucrada, es por eso que todos los que hemos visto son peones en un gran juego comandado por Palpatine/Sidious para ser el dueño de la República, los manejó a todos mostrando una cara para la luz y manteniendo en la oscuridad su verdadero ser. Yo de adulto y habiendo visto por mucho tiempo estás películas, pienso que todo lo que sucede con respecto al manejo de la política y la guerra y de cómo todo es favorecido a un solo personaje, es una importante crítica que hace George Lucas a como justamente se maneja la política en el mundo, en dónde muchos muestran una cara para ciertas circunstancias mientras mantiene secretas sus verdaderas intenciones.
And in this way his plan was carried out in which he always used the perfect pawn to advance in his master move, using the lack of humility of the Jedi that was what clouded his judgment and that the real enemy was always in front of them. From Episode 6 through the first two (Ep. I and Ep. II), in three films in a row we could see the power of manipulation that Darth Sidious had, but in episode two we saw how we found that he was not always hidden in the shadows since he used his "original" face and name to follow his majestic plan and it is not until being named as "Supreme Chancellor of the Galactic Republic " when he finally has everything he needs to take not only the last step to be the owner of the entire republic but to have as his ally the most powerful being in the universe and how could he achieve that? As in much of this story, with the power of manipulation, deception and lies, no doubt he was the mastermind and using the force of each disciple who accompanied him at the right time.
I always thought that "The Emperor" was more than the mastermind and I was not wrong, I knew he had the skills to be a great rival using the Lightsaber and so we could verify it since he not only used the lie and deception as his main weapon, but when the moment required it, he could use the different saber to show his true power, this makes him stronger than any other villain, because as I said before his plan was not to show his strength in combat ability but to devise a plan where he would create a conflict where the whole republic would be involved, that's why everyone we have seen are pawns in a great game commanded by Palpatine/Sidious to be the owner of the Republic, he managed them all showing a face for the light and keeping in the dark his true self. As an adult and having seen these movies for a long time, I think that everything that happens regarding the handling of politics and war and how everything is favored to a single character, is an important criticism that makes George Lucas to how politics is handled in the world, where many show a face for certain circumstances while keeping their true intentions secret.
Sé que de seguro se preguntarán por qué no hago una referencia a lo sucedido con Darth Sidious ahora solamente llamado Palpatine en el Episodio IX "The Rise of Skywalker", para mí esta es la peor película de esta saga y a pesar de mi alegría por el regreso de Ian McDiarmid y de este personaje en sí, per cuando vi el resultado final no podía entender ni creer lo que habían hecho, fue lo peor y que pudieron hacer y en realidad deseaba que eso nunca lo fueran hecho. Darth Sidious es el mejor Sith por siempre! Nadie hizo lo que él consiguió, no solo domino la república sino pudo mantener en su mano al Jedi de la profecía que debería traer el balance a la fuerza, que al final se cumplió, pero con un costo enorme, es el mejor villano que he visto, uno que cada vez que tenía protagonismo lo hacía valer, era inteligente y poderoso, su imagen, la voz, el Emperador es un icono, es el mejor villano que he visto en el mundo del cine.
I know you're probably wondering why I don't make a reference to what happened to Darth Sidious now only called Palpatine in Episode IX "The Rise of Skywalker", for me this is the worst movie of this saga and despite my joy for the return of Ian McDiarmid and this character itself, but when I saw the final result I couldn't understand or believe what they had done, it was the worst thing they could do and I really wished they had never done it. Darth Sidious is the best Sith ever! No one did what he accomplished, not only did he dominate the republic but he was able to hold in his hand the Jedi of the prophecy that should bring balance to the force, which in the end was fulfilled, but at a huge cost, he is the best villain I have ever seen, one that every time he had prominence he made it count, he was intelligent and powerful, his image, voice, the Emperor is an icon, he is the best villain I have ever seen in the world of movies.
